Havent had any apps "reload on me" while using them and in app performance is extremely superb and great, playing Vainglory/asphalt 8 on the 6 Plus looks absolutely stunning and runs flawless tooThe leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but it feels a bit like a ploy for you to lose track of time while browsing the store or possibly fit more (paid) apps on the page.I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingBut think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.they are on pace for 6 hours of usage which is not bad with so much Angry Birds, most people with 8 hours of usage do not have a game in their top 5 appsThe 2 of 500+ iOS apps I haven't been able to find Android equivalents of is: - Awesome Note - a brilliant iOS app that makes Evernote or Google Drive look great - Period Planner - a fertility planner iOS app.Much better camera, better apps, seamless integration with my iPad Mini, and of course, seamless iTunes integration.SO we get good, great, fair, and finally JUNK apps that put junk on our computers / SMART PHONES (mini computers). The display is amazing and will be great once Apps are updated for it.Believe me, your app developers want nothing more than to make awesome apps taking advantage of all the latest awesome hardware and software. But for apps that don't, like magazines and journals, the problem is, unlike the iPad, which is more "square" and the pages of magazines fit the whole iPad screen, the narrower iPhone 6/6 Plus doesn't fill the whole screen to fit the page on most magazines and such.I've got tons of great music (sequenced playlists - streaming is not the end all for music lovers), movies, pod-casts, loads of great apps, photos and videos on mine (128GB) and still have 52GB free.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.Say I'm refreshing Facebook, it just kind of sits there a while, other apps as well.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBDon't freak out though, the downscaling looks amazing, it is easily the best mobile screen I've ever seen (won't be perfect until developers update their apps for the 6 Plus and iOS 8 though).Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,I'm sure that great iPhone apps and games have come out despite the fact the RAM is still kind of low.Something worth pointing out from The Verge's review is that some apps may require updating before they look nice or even work properly on the 6 Plus's higher resolution display.if i switch to some other device, it might save me money, but i would have to go through all the trial & error to find the perfect apps that i need and sometimes the accumulation of all the knowledge about my preferences is worth more than a few hundred dollars. Some example of apps that you lost all are: smart budget, Whatsapp and pvz I felt very happy when I did a fresh restore but keep the data with iTools. It'd be a really nice thought if developers *could* release pixel perfect apps, though...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)4.7 perfect for gym/working out perfect for jogging/running perfect for taking pics perfect for back pocket and ease of use to carry around for a man 5.5 perfect for movies perfect for editing pics/viewing perfect for music/dj apps perfect for games perfect for browsing websites and shop perfect for reading books i am so so so torn that i cant make up my mind.To me it kind of just seems like people on both sides like to puff out their chest and talk about how much greener the grass is on the their side, whereas I like to take a step back approach and know that whichever side I'm on I can find great apps for what I need to do.The apps are great, and when you have other Apple products it just makes sense to have an iPhone, they play great together! Now the tech stuff aside, there are equally amazing looking and functioning apps on play store as well, and any gap that exists can be leveraged by a smart developer if one wants.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case.Mine is pretty great, I'm a moderate user and never close apps I'm getting easily full day sometimes more.I am confident a software fix will come in the long run but my feeling is at worst case scenario apple will ask/make it mandatory for app developers (apps which require gyro/accelerometers) to include re-calibration tools at the setup of the apps.in the meantime I found a workable solution with callback services and dedicated apps. That's the down side... but since I can't pull the apps out once they are in, I'm kind of glad there is a way to get the apps out.2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:Page two: All the nice looking icons of the apps I use often / daily :P Page three: The other nice looking icons (the apps I din't use as often in folders) I only have Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade because I don't play games that oftenOnly in some apps mind you, like navigation apps you see much less on the iPhone and you get some weird banding display issues that make the map fairly ugly.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and tabs held in the background are far more than this paltry 1gb horribleness. So yeah, I'm still very unhappy with the 1GB of RAM and the fact that lots of apps still aren't optimised for the screen, but it's a very nice phone. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyIf after you have tried A. wipe and restore B. wipe and set up as a new iPhone C. LOADED very little apps (after you did B) for a few days to make sure one of your favorite apps is not causing the issue (due to it not being happy with the OS or the developer screwed up, they are human).I found myself not downloading apps because I was worried about running out of space, and also got tired of the white face.Yep ... the 6 is a lovely design .... but i have to say ... i have a silver 5 sat on my desk waiting for its new owner and its still a lovely feeling phone But the 6 is so thin ... kinda crazy but its a slippery bugger when its naked (i used a slip-case for protection but as it comes in use) Can't wait till apps are resized properly .... most of my daily-driver apps are still scaled but the ones updated look good.I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say! What's annoying is to carry both iPad and iPhone the same time and then later on during the day leaving iPad in the car when stopped for a diner at some place and realising damn I need the bigger screen when you start browsing net and apps while waiting for food.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Thse blown-up apps are ugly - and it's annoying and frustrating. The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.On Apple apps it looks great but developers need to hurry up and update their ****, because it's their apps are hideous zoomed inMost apps look terrible upsize and one hand use is awkward.I have a few apps like stratus that never updated to the 4' screen, lazy devs lol Hopefully they adjust faster with the new iPhone, the worst was with the retina display !My note 3 has been very problematic with apps crashing, bloatware, mysterious battery drain etc.And that same Nexus 4 had a worse camera, worse screen, worse performance (CPU and GPU), worse battery life, didn't have iMessage, didn't have apps as good as iOS, didn't have as good accessories and many more things...Seriously apps on Windows look tired, old, abandoned, boring much like Linux apps did 5-7 years ago when people were banging that drum.I've never owned a recent iPhone (the iPhone 4 was the last version that I owned) but in my experience all iPhones have been very laggy in opening apps, and especially bad at answering phone calls (many times the call ends before I can make the dumb "slide to answer" thingy actually work. The title bars looked nice in bold, but didn't like how it looked in apps.I use my wife's 5S, and the extra screen space seems superfluous to me (granted, in iOS 7 they made some apps worse on the 3.5" screen - like the calendar app - but they didn't have to do that). They will mostly likely do both, launch app and have it float in the middle of the screen with black bars surrounding and then a stretch to fill screen option like the iPad, honestly the stretch wouldn't look bad since when the iPad did it to the 3.5 inch iPhone apps it still looked ok, I doubt a .7inch increase would be horrible.Loved the iPhone 3G and I upgraded too the Samsung Galaxy S, it had pretty awesome specs but Android apps where not good at the time, and the OS although feature rich was ugly.So essentially nothing as drastic as all Google apps being bad like that and even worse than other apps that would provide similar services if one chooses to use them and allows for the relevant permissions. There are lots of AMAZING apps for Android, but it's a system where it's not uncommon for apps to only be really built for a small range of devices. But after having two 5s phones I can say the battery on this one, with more battery saving changes made (no background apps refreshing, screen brightness down, etc), is way worse.

The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Say I'm refreshing Facebook, it just kind of sits there a while, other apps as well.I have a friend on Facebook who feels the need to do this kind of thing with his new LG phone, only 2 months ago he was telling everyone how he was moving away from the iPhone blah blah blah, he was out of contract, the usual stuff people say.I'm wondering if I should get out soon, before I too become so addicted to how nice the text looks on the screen and how well the Facebook app works and how it all links so seamlessly to my Mac Air that I too become like "who cares if you can't do 101 other basic and important things with the phone, look at how nice that text font is and it's beautiful form factor!!"The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyhey guys ive had my iphone 6 for a week now and i have ios 8.0.2 installed on it, and the battery life is just terrible, i have background app refresh completely off, email push is off and my email account is set to manual instead of fetch, i can't figure out why its so bad, i mean if i dont use the phone then the battery holds up i guess but if i use it to browse facebook or just play a game or whatever it is drainging really quickly.. i also have notifications turned off for nearly every app other than messages and facetime.. i cant figure out whats causing the drainage.. i have my brightness set to 1/4 of the full brightness as well so its not my brightness.I know quite a few couples that have downgraded and are a lot happier for it: no longer having to deal with annoying texts, facebook requests, weird phone glitches due to overcomplicated software, much better battery life, much lower bills, etc.The 6+ is huge, and yes for Facebook, surfing, it would be great but I think it would be annoying in daily life unless in a bag.Forums are as bad as Facebook, with users sticking to outdated, inaccurate information.
ram
No it's not horrible, but given the fact it's approx $200 more than the competition, including more ram would make Apple look less greedy. To be honest, the 6s could have 100 processor cores and 1000 GB of RAM, and I wouldn't feel particularly inclined to upgrade my 6.The nice thing about apple being stupid with RAM is that the 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6+ should all turn to **** at around the same time performance wise. All the things we thought the 6 would be, but wasn't: Wireless charging Waterproof Two day battery 20Mp camera Bezel-less Two gigs ram at least LED notification Durable Sapphire screen No ugly antenna bands No ugly protruding lens No bad screens escaping QC inspection Stable iOS Smooth iOS This would make a phone with paying a thousand bucks for.people prefer ram to battery life, that's something i'd never expect.. to be honest the only thing missing from a perfect phone for me is: 2gb ram, water-resistant, improved scratch resistance, less bezels and a more efficient battery life (=> the day that the "up to" advertised numbers become standard numbers (meaning 10h = 10h, not 10h = 4h.)iOS 8 > Android 4.4 + 4.5 iOS Maps today > Google Maps on Android 1GB of ram hasn't been as detrimental as I thought iPhone at 4.7" is pretty damned good size wise and it's fast.Apple will increase the ram when the their software needs it and when it is worth it for them profit wise. And let me tell you about the amazing wonders of having 3GB of ram, the magical huge amount that was so seemingly magical. They wanted to include a larger amount if ram but the real world cost, both monetarily and power consumption wise, was too great. It's cute that the OP says that everyone is ignorant, and yet he is the guy saying that these benchmarks prove that RAM doesn't matter. But I'm not whining about evil Apple insulting its customers with only 1GB of RAM.You guys and your RAM.. to be honest: It sure is annoying, but I doubt it's just the RAM.I'm sure that great iPhone apps and games have come out despite the fact the RAM is still kind of low.Kind of funny that people got up at 3 am to order these 6+ phones not knowing if they had 2 GB RAM and have been anxiously watching for conformation of shipping, etc and now 20 % are ready to return them if they come with 1 GB without even knowing what their performance is.According to the information below, I wonder if they have even been made yet lol My wife's 6 shows: Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 33 (August) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 64GB Memory - flavour: xx Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn My 6+ shows: Nice Name: Family name: Group1: Group2: Generation: Production year: 2014 Production week: 35 (September) Model introduced: Memory - number of slots: Please tell us how many memory (RAM) slots this machine has.I am overall happy with what I have seen of the iphone 6 plus and if the rumoured 2gb ram is correct then hardware wise it is all that I would require.Kind of like how linux PC's with 1GB of RAM seems to run smooth and flawless. You know it's funny, with the Macbook Pro line, the 15" and 17" models were always superior (higher resolution, dedicated GPU, more RAM, longer battery, etc) however people did not feel bad about getting the 13", as it was the best combo of portability and power for most.Auto refreshing is just refreshing the same page....same ram.Optimal solution is to add RAM (I never said otherwise), but a swap file is much preferable to having nothing. You can get the smaller iPhone 6, but have worse battery live and a worse camera (no OIS), for 100$ less... OR bigger iPhone 6 Plus, with bigger and slightly sharper screen, noticeably better battery life, but crappier performance (especially if they keep 1gb of RAM).They could've still used more ram and give us better battery life, Lumia 1520 is a great example of having a great battery life and 2GB ram.Agreed, maybe I'll change my mind once I have one but I've tried the Galaxy Note 3 before and hated how it two-hands was an absolute requirement to function At the moment the Xperia Z3 Compact is my personal favorite device on the horizon based on its compact size for one-handed use, flagship specs (snapdragon 801, 2gb RAM, micro SD, 20mp camera) and great battery size at 2600mAh.I agree, i don't have any issues with ram on my 5c but If I pay a smartphone $800, it better be high tech, It's been a while since we had a ram upgrade, 2gb of lpddr4 would be awesome, more than that would be freaking wonderful hahaAnd the switch to the A7 with phenomenal performance and 64bit architecture (with the A8 instruction set and new GPU), DDR 3 RAM (w/a 4mb 'on die SoC' buffer), fingerprint scan system second to none and a wicked camera (1080p is truly amazing, still capture is definitely a well refined with an awesome and perfect for sensor size 8mp, f2.2 with 10fps full Rez bursts as long as you hold the shutter down), continued progression of their IPS display technology and implementation..the 5s is AS good as ANY of the flagship Android 2014 handsets.Certain things are clear: 1- 64 bit processor is already implemented 2- Higher than average screen resolution is already implemented, it's just a matter of adding more pixels 3- Faster wireless streaming speed is already available Now if Apple figures a way to exploit the flash storage and use it like RAM when needed the multi-tasking will be kind of 'unlimited' or any other fancy adjective hyperbole used on the keynote stage.Dear Santa Steve, For my iPhone 5 I'd like an A5 chip, a slightly updated battery, maybe a gig worth of RAM and an 8mpx camera that records 1080p.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyI highly doubt it is from a lack of RAM, I think I know what your talking about, because this one website I visit alot called gamespot.com crashes on my Plus 9/10 times and I have no idea why, it actually crashes my springboard, this forums I visit on Gamespot, and it only happens on this website which I have no idea why....it is so weird because when I had the 4.7 inch i6 before I switched to the Plus, this website never ever crashed on my 6....so weird...I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...Great...but that kind of gives the shaft to the iPhone 6 (especially the 6+) that would also have hugely benefited from multitasking and the extra RAM it requires.Apple is just being cheap greedy corporate Sharks by half assing the ram and acting like there doing us a favor .- faster CPU (kind of not sure what a faster CPU is used for in these phones at this point) - 2gb of ram - 1080p screen That would make an awesome phone but I wouldn't mind waiting a year to get it in the iPhone 7 because I like being on the non-s cycle so it like I'm rocking the newest gen because I'm vain like that.Either Safari is horrible at memory management, iOS is horrible at memory management, or iOS devices need more RAM.Through all that copying and pasting you still missed the boat...Oh, please just leave android out of it that **** is old and lame now....but like i said you missed the boat bad, the plus needed more ram period...ram/processor works as a tandem, damn the bench score...what about the issues with safari address that with your bench scores...it will fall back to ram/processorI usually don't mind this kind of thing because of the battery issue, but the 6 and 6 plus have great battery life so there's no more excuse to not put 2GB of RAM in it.What with a paltry 1GB of RAM and a cheap build quality, what a downer for all that money.hahah people are actually defending apple being greedy pigs and possibly sticking a paltry 1 gb of ram into a phone that can cost an upwards of 1000 dollars.Apple's decision to hold out the extra gig and break their pattern of doubling RAM every 2 years is such petty and pathetic way to save a buck.As many features as Apple had to show differentiating the 6 and 6+ while on stage, this is one area most users won't comprehend without a tutorial and that hopefully Apple isn't shying away from stating because of upsetting those that really give a damn about RAM capacity.Wait how mad 6 users are when it's confirmed the 6 Plus has 2 GB of RAM... See, that wasn't nice of me to say.RAM is very cheap these days, so just cost is not a great reason.on the contrary, web browsing is the main thing I use my phone for, I've never had "ram" issues but I don't look for trouble, having 8 open tabs is dumb

The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..This is kind of like the "I'm not racist, but..." Twitter thing.I'm sure many here will go into a fit of rage since it's kind of the in thing to hate U2 nowadays, but just wanted to pass along some pretty strong rumors that have started making rounds around Twitter from music journalists and sources inside Univeral Records/U2's camp that there is going to be some kind of tie in with U2 next Tuesday, possibly resulting in their new album or single being preloaded on the iPhone 6.We will see shortly how bad this problem is, plenty of people were posting pics on twitter the other day of bent phones to, I only see this getting worse.Ranting on twitter about the HORRIBLE UNACCEPTABLE customer service I have received with no resolution to my issue in sight, an AT&T rep responded and asked for my account details.

Like TVs they tend to set the screens to the vibrant mode to catch your attention in the store as we humans tend to like bright bold colours in those situations. In areas I had GREAT LTE signal strength with my 5S.... on my 6 Plus is more on 4G... toggle airplane mode on/off..... goes back to fast amazing LTE, 3-5 mins later back to 4G... without even moving...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)Horses were perfect too as a mode of transportation for years, doesn't mean that when something newer that was better and actually had enough support and desirability wouldn't then be perfect instead.(The second biggest factor is that annoying, pointless, and confusing outgoing text sound iphone makes that can't be turned off in non-vibrate mode.It is the dishonest and unethical "people" (i use that word loosely) who violated the TOS by using it in tether mode.Perhaps leaving the phone on "demo" mode all day long "fixes" the display c. We all just have the worst luck and have in fact received "defective" displays 2.Got an email from AT&T though reviewing my plan and telling me stuff for my account, but who knows....happy for everyone in the group in shipping mode, feel bad for me, hahaA Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone need to be much smaller, basically, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen) It's ugly how much space/real estate is wasted on the current design of the front of the iPhone Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, atleast while connected to Wifi N iChat Support Flash Support (I want to access hulu from my iphone damn it!)

Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfBattery life, camera, and the biggest/best screen this side of the Galaxy Note 4 (great for GPS and games) are also some really nice things to have.Incredible battery life, an amazing camera, great for watching for videos, and playing games - oh and it makes phone calls too.Gaming performance is amazing: games load fast, look sharp and the phone doesn't heat up, honest!I'm sure that great iPhone apps and games have come out despite the fact the RAM is still kind of low.I prefer the more manageable size of 6 but the screen size of 6+ make it the must-have for me and my able to watch live in much bigger screen the glorious Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Champions League, Euro 2016 Qualifying, Ligue 1, MLS beautiful futbol games anywhere I am.4.7 perfect for gym/working out perfect for jogging/running perfect for taking pics perfect for back pocket and ease of use to carry around for a man 5.5 perfect for movies perfect for editing pics/viewing perfect for music/dj apps perfect for games perfect for browsing websites and shop perfect for reading books i am so so so torn that i cant make up my mind. It's perfect -- large enough to read things, play games, type comfortably, etc., but small enough to use with one hand and fit perfectly in a pocket.iPhone is smaller as a matter of convenience, while iPad is regarded as a device more keen to wider experiences, as screen real estate allows for more enjoyable movies and games experience, for instance.Page two: All the nice looking icons of the apps I use often / daily :P Page three: The other nice looking icons (the apps I din't use as often in folders) I only have Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade because I don't play games that oftenIt is definitely not an iPhone but it does have enough features and games to keep a new smart phone owner happy for minimal cost.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceI got my 6 on launch day and 2 days ago my husband upgraded from his 5s - he got the plus for me and I gave him my regular six The 6 plus has a beautiful big screen but it was not pocketable and is too big to carry and use IMO- I love to bar hop with my husband and attending Niners and Giants games without a purse so it didn't work for me I saw two ladies using their pluses and they looked frustrated trying to stand type and hold the plus however my sister loves hers - even named it the gold finger lol I ended up taking it back and getting him a regular 6.The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyThank God this is only your opinion, I , and millions feel the total opposite and absolutely love and adore the new iPhone design, the Note 4 design is more cumbersome, it is a thicker phone, it is wider, it is heavier, and doesnt have tapered edges, it feels much more cumbersome in the hand, coming from a OnePlus One, the 6 Plus is noticeably better in performance, espcially when it comes to frame rate in games, it is much better and offers quite a bit better GPU performance then the OnePlus One's Adreno 330 GPU... Yup, conpared some low light shots with my 6 Plus vs 5S on my IPS monitor, and it is a dramatic difference, stop sipping the Android koolaidTo me both looked great but after handling the 6+ as much as I wanted to justify and overweight the pros of the phone, I don't watch videos or play games on my phone so it was tough to sacrifice comfort for the big bad screen. The plus owners will think " i thought im going to watch a lot of movies and playing games with this thing, but 90% of the usage actually chatting and soc med and this thing is so big and annoying it's very hard to use with one hand, i should have got the 6 instead damn!!!"BUT, dear friends, the worst annoying thing is that 3D Games and scenes looking worst on this faulty screens!I've played quite a few games on the iPhone and I have to say, Angry Birds is one of the worst games WRT battery.

2gb ram
people prefer ram to battery life, that's something i'd never expect.. to be honest the only thing missing from a perfect phone for me is: 2gb ram, water-resistant, improved scratch resistance, less bezels and a more efficient battery life (=> the day that the "up to" advertised numbers become standard numbers (meaning 10h = 10h, not 10h = 4h.)I am overall happy with what I have seen of the iphone 6 plus and if the rumoured 2gb ram is correct then hardware wise it is all that I would require. They could've still used more ram and give us better battery life, Lumia 1520 is a great example of having a great battery life and 2GB ram.Agreed, maybe I'll change my mind once I have one but I've tried the Galaxy Note 3 before and hated how it two-hands was an absolute requirement to function At the moment the Xperia Z3 Compact is my personal favorite device on the horizon based on its compact size for one-handed use, flagship specs (snapdragon 801, 2gb RAM, micro SD, 20mp camera) and great battery size at 2600mAh.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and tabs held in the background are far more than this paltry 1gb horribleness.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...- faster CPU (kind of not sure what a faster CPU is used for in these phones at this point) - 2gb of ram - 1080p screen That would make an awesome phone but I wouldn't mind waiting a year to get it in the iPhone 7 because I like being on the non-s cycle so it like I'm rocking the newest gen because I'm vain like that.I usually don't mind this kind of thing because of the battery issue, but the 6 and 6 plus have great battery life so there's no more excuse to not put 2GB of RAM in it.

You have a great plan...especially with 5 lines with subsidies....and when you start paying full price for new phones on mobile share and next program. The home screen looks perfect, video on youtube looks amazing, etc. Then watching Youtube on that beautiful screen, or movies, it's just amazing.2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:The youtube icon used to be pretty damn hideous. But in other places, like say discussions between me and my friends, even reviewers on youtube, people are always commenting on the bands and how bad it looks because it looks bad, they are thick and no other phones have them and no other apple product has them.Netflix and Youtube on the 6+ are terrible as it is, lowering the PPI or going for another weird resolution would be disappointing. My gf is scared to view a youtube video because she's afraid she will go over.

safari
I went into settings, safari (my phone browser), selected advanced, then website data, then remove all website data (at the bottom) and the discs went away, I don't think I lost any of my saved passwords or anything that I wanted to keep probably just cached pages to help sites load faster, but the discs annoyed me so I was happy they went away.I've noticed that scrolling in Safari on my 6 Plus feels kind of weird, like there is no acceleration or inertia. My tests were: Safari Pages iMovie One handed typing The 6 was nice, very nice.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,my ipad air has a perfect screen and I'm getting upwards of 12 hours use out of it even with some gaming, the mini retina I bought had a perfect screen and good battery life, and safari doesn't crash on me.64GB SG & 64GB GOLD ordered in store 9/22 Shipping window 10/30-11/10 GOLD shipped 11/11 out of Fort Worth no emails received from AT&T only one order traceable online (although both shown) online chat didn't work on Safari phone call at 3pm 11/11 rep says gold shipped SG pending GOLD shipped at 3:45 pm phone call to at&t was only way i can find status of SG phone they said a shipment of SG iPhones is expected from China in 2-3 days that the AT&T website is not perfect is not excusable considering their pocket books BE PATIENT FRIENDS - yours, too, will come no need to get yourselves upset or use unkind language towards hapless dronesDamn robbery for a few extra Mbit/s.. "Safari feels snappier" is not worth _that_ muchThe major major thing with the 6+ is how shocking bad safari behaves.Either Safari is horrible at memory management, iOS is horrible at memory management, or iOS devices need more RAM.Through all that copying and pasting you still missed the boat...Oh, please just leave android out of it that **** is old and lame now....but like i said you missed the boat bad, the plus needed more ram period...ram/processor works as a tandem, damn the bench score...what about the issues with safari address that with your bench scores...it will fall back to ram/processorI will buy it, use safari extensively and see how "bad" it is, and sell it if it's worse than the current phone; I will most definitely make money on the deal lol.I asked Siri to open safari a few days ago and it asked me if u want to search the web for something inappropriate even though I just said "Siri, can you please open Safari" I was a bit offended by that...Siri is really annoying and never understandsThe same with this damned music app, which tends to crash every hour, that's extremely annoying, in my opinion Despite this, safari crashes also a lot, but it's bearable, though not nice.

I have a 128gb iPhone 6+ ..no problems all the rumors(gates) floating around the internet are all BS ..my iphone hasn't bent ..my 128gb tlc hasnt died ..my screen is perfect ..I get better service than on the Note 3 bottom line is ..unless apple acknowledges the problem or someone posts substantive empirical evidence that has been repeated with the same results by another party ...then its a fake rumor you need not trouble yourself withThere was someone here a while back who started a thread about being worried about passing out drunk at a party and someone getting into his iphone while drunk. These are all 3rd party programs that some are questionable and also unsupported by Apple and not very user friendly.I'm so sick of the iPhone 6 and iOS8 3rd party keyboards totally unreliable App crashes are among the worst its ever been on iOS Another phone with a home button that feels like its about to give in Restored iPhone again today (set it up as new when i 1st got the 6) but tried doing same today .... phone decides 2 hours later to start heating up drastically and chewing battery .... was depleting fast than i could charge it.Something my note 3 never achieved, most likely due to the insane amount of 3rd party applications required just to dumb down samsungs clunky and poor written software.I would never touch a iP4 because the microphone is TERRIBLE and that is the real reason SIRI was never allowed - voice recognition was impossible with such a cheap mic - so if you actually need to be understood when talking to someone you need at least a iP4s, which had a mic system leaps and bounds better and was the first iphone that didn't make you sound like you were being choked underwater to the other party. If worst comes to worst just go to a 3rd party iphone repair shop and get the battery replaced there with no issues and probably cheaper too.

Only noticed it in Spotlight, otherwise my Plus ran great still without that on, but Reduce Transparency is everything, Nd i like the black notification center better from the Reduce Transparency, in app performAnce/games are still extremely superb on the Plus Still not as bad at all as the lag Note 4 still has, and the lag modern day Android devices still haveI am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI have a 64gb 6+ and I just tested out Epic Zen Garden and it was beautiful and ran completely smooth with no lag or stuttering. The lag may not be bad for most users (the same ones who think they have a "perfect" phone until an OCDer finds 20 things wrong in seconds) but the issue is a hardware one, and even if it doesn't bother you, it's there.I think this stuff is certainly "worth a damn" and did not cause any crippling lag in my circles. My 6 Plus has been absolutely amazing and I have absolutely no lag or stutter at all on my 6 Plus, your 6 Plus seems to be defective, Sounds like you might not even have a 6 Plus, why would you spend all that money when a ton of your "problems" is something you could of always seen in person hands on with the device or so (surely you tried the device out before forking over money) And Siri has been working for me 90% of the time and is light years better then what it has been, that seems to be a connection issue on your part with Siri having a response like thatyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsHorrible lag issues with touchwiz and the cheap bezels and body structure.I was basically saying that the lag when switching between home screens is almost non existent but the app loading time was a LOT worse on the s5 it was shocking
background
This in by NO WAY is me being flippant, sarcastic or rude but do you have a "source" that can confirm that or maybe some background as to how you can "guarantee" that.On the tad yellow I had to turn bold on (to see the text better), but on my tad pink, I had to shut bold off (to see the background better). With an extra hour of work, you can set a fancy background in your app showing a sceumorphic barometr and draw a nice icon.Little touches such as the Lockscreen accent colors changing to the wallpaper are beautiful, the Dialer ring colors accenting to the frosted glass look of the background are perfect touches.Actually kind of looks like a brush metal background, I kind of like it.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and tabs held in the background are far more than this paltry 1gb horribleness.hey guys ive had my iphone 6 for a week now and i have ios 8.0.2 installed on it, and the battery life is just terrible, i have background app refresh completely off, email push is off and my email account is set to manual instead of fetch, i can't figure out why its so bad, i mean if i dont use the phone then the battery holds up i guess but if i use it to browse facebook or just play a game or whatever it is drainging really quickly.. i also have notifications turned off for nearly every app other than messages and facetime.. i cant figure out whats causing the drainage.. i have my brightness set to 1/4 of the full brightness as well so its not my brightness.iOS is indeed very aggressive with suspending inactive applications (provided you don't have them refreshing in the background), but the other aspect that allows the 6 and 6 Plus to do well in real-world battery tests is the insane power efficiency of the 20nm A8.But after having two 5s phones I can say the battery on this one, with more battery saving changes made (no background apps refreshing, screen brightness down, etc), is way worse.Gold is such a terrible colour (yes ive seen it in a store too) also the two tone background is a terrible design too.

size
It has a great size and seems awesome, with the exception of battery life, which seems to be crappy. If you dont mind the size of the Plus(which i got used to pretty quickly and dont think its that big anymore actually, and also the tapered edges and thinness makes it alot better to hold and is less cumbersome overall) The screen and battery life on the Plus is just incredibly good and really dam good, it is worth it, the extra screen size and the battery life alone makes it worth it imoSomething about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )The 6 Plus is awesome and the screen is a perfect size. You are right 6 is the perfect size, to be honest.Like them, I have also returned to the 5S as it seems to be the perfect (by perfect I mean compact and usable) screen size for me.The 6 wasnt bad but battery life is very important to me and theres a big difference between the 2...and the screen size is awesome.I either need the smaller 6 or I wish that the 6+ was a bit bigger so that I can hold it the way I want to hold it....I was even thinking that my Kindle Paperwhite would be the perfect size phone for a big phone....seriously, my Kindle Paperwhite feels GREAT as a phone if it were a phone...it fits in my pocket and feels comfortable when I hold it to my head....hoping for a Kindle iPhone 7!got the 6 first, absolutely thought Id never get a phone the size of the Plus, was chirping that the 6 is the perfect size and phone, but then I started getting envious of the Plus, then i wanted to switch to the Plus and I did and i love it that much more over the 6 and im beyond happy and satisfied I switched to the Plus Love the screen and battery life tremendously, they are simply incredible on the Plus, also has OIS which is a benefit, its been about a week since I owned the Plus and I am already used to the size(granted I rock it without a case to keep it slim and light, which the thinness and weight makes it alot more tolerable to hold and feels good imo, much better feel and hold and is slimmer in hand then other phablets, I am used to the size alreadyAn iPhone 5s is a worthy upgrade for you, and the perfect size since you prefer the same width as your 4s.For me the screen size is such an enjoyable experience that I'm happy to adjust / live with the extra effort you need to apply on the occasions you need to use it one handed etc. With the leather Apple case it's still great to hold size wise for me, and it's grippy now. It's a stunning phone and thoroughly nice to use with a couple of additional features the standard 6 doesn't have, however it's the size that is the real consideration for people I think. This, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusFeels absolutely awesome in the hand, it's the perfect size. The 6 just seems to fit in my hand so much better but then I pick up the 6+ and the screen size is awesome. The screen size was actually perfect on the 6 i must say for those that are still looking only for a phone and have a dedicated tablet for use at all times. The iPhone 6's size is a perfect fit for me.well i went back to my 5C and honestly its fluid and the right size for portability I have a rMini and macbook air so apple still in my life... What I found was apple puts alot of effort into their macbooks - look at yosemite - its amazing fluid fast and runs amazingly on the macbook air, secondly ipads - these are also great for what they do just look at the new ipad air specs are amazing...Feels great in the hand, with a nice weight, although after 2 (3 if you include the 6+) screen size updates it does seem pretty small now.I love my iPhone but I still think the Galaxy s5 is ideal size wise.Touch ID is just amazing, camera is outstanding and the screen size is perfect..I mean, the Plus is an awesome device and all, and the screen and battery are unparalleled, but I have to tell you, the size becomes a burden if you're happy with using your phone how you are now.I'm still happy with the new iPhone though because I love the new display size, so moving to iPhone 6 was the right decision.iOS 8 > Android 4.4 + 4.5 iOS Maps today > Google Maps on Android 1GB of ram hasn't been as detrimental as I thought iPhone at 4.7" is pretty damned good size wise and it's fast. The size is perfect, the screen is amazing, the battery lasts all day.Honestly, if the regular 6 had come with the same resolution and landscape capabilities and battery life, that form factor would have been preferable to me as it marries the decent screen size with portability in a more optimal way than the Plus does, at least for me.They are scratch resistant, just not scratch proof, I am pretty sure "iom-strengthed glass" is just another name for Gorilla Glass i got my 6 screen covered in Ghost Armor clear screen protector....I love this screen protector, perfect cutouts, perfect size, fits the whole glass display, had a guy at the kiosk did it, no air bubbles at all anywhere, complete clean and clear installation, it is flawless and you cant even tell sometimes that there actually is a screen protector thats how well installed it was(guy at the kiosk did it, put it in a heat box, popped all remaining other air bubbles/pushed them out) I feel very safe and secure with this Ghost Armor protector lol I know it will hold up great and absorb alot of scratches over time instead of my screen Honestly , literally there is not much you can do to protect your screen without a screen protector, a OCD guy like me, where i never keep anything in my pocket with my phone but my phone, where I am always shaking off my pockets to get all lint/sand out before I put my phone in there so nothing can scratch it in my pocket, blowing on my phone sometimes throughout the day to get dust/lint off of it from my pocket, and being very careful where I place my phone (Never in a car cup holder etc) and even doing all this, all my smartphones that I had owned even with care like this, I always still end up finding micro scratches on the screen build up over the months, doesn't affect actual screen display like i dont see rainbow lines or anything like that, but still micro scratches all over the display, it is almost impossible to guard from really with no screen protector you honestly can't do nothing about it and it's not "cheap Apple" , its just not sapphire glass display lol.The curved design feels fantastic, the screen size upgrades are great, the cameras have some awesome feature like slo-mo and OIS on plus, pretty great battery life, and Apple Pay sounds promising. There is a considerable difference in size between it and the 6 +, and I find the mini preferable when viewing videos and at other times when a larger screen is desirable.I think it's great though to read everyone's opinions on what size is perfect for them and how they are adapting to their new iPhones.Nice screen, size seemed good, protruding camera didn't seem that bothersome, felt like nice materials, I kind if liked it.Having demo'ed both side by side, I felt the 6 was a great size and a perfect in-between point between the 5 and the 6+.My wife's: Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Gold Production year: 2014 Production week: 36 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - while they are still present here in stores... And now - I'm REALLY happy with it: I've got the extremely convenient TouchID feature, better camera etc, all in lovely 4" size.Lovely size, lovely 'hand feel'.When smart phones are new, then each iteration represents huge leaps, but the size of those leaps get progressively smaller from generation to generation as we zero in on the 'ideal phone'.Phone is cool i love the size not too big and keyboard is amazing now time to wait for jb.... Video is amazingThat all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningI agree one size doesn't fit all for screen sizes and I think the 6 is a great device. It's a perfect phone in the perfect size. But after trying the 6+ in the store, I think it's really amazing, and for those of you who want that screen size, I can see how it's a great choice. Is it actually worth it to take the risk to trade the perfect iPhone 6 plus I currently own just to get more storage size.So far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance.Moving it in circles with my fingers, flipping it in my hand, just moving it around in both my left & right hands to get used to the size.Love everything about it; perfect screen size, love the look and feel, everything I just perfect. The size isn't event that bad, but I'm just ok indecisive and notice I carry this phone around a lot at work due to it not being the easiest to place in my pocket. No regrets lol, and it's funny because I went from the Note 2 to a 5S and looked forward to the more hand friendly size. The 6 is a great size and feels amazing in my hand, and I have XL glove sized ones. The 6 screen is a nice size too; I'm happy with it.Nice size, solid button feedback, Touch ID works perfect, excellent camera and solid battery life for my usage.Yeah, pretty amazing how sony can fit in a 4.6 inch screen, microSD slot, and 2600mAh battery into something the size of an iPhone 5s.my .02$ I have the 4.7. coming from a 5s pro's Camera great Battery great screen color A+, screen coating A+, Brightness A++ Cons: camera lens pokes out imho the foot print is to big, screen size is ok but the phone as a whole feel to big for a 4.7 inch i think it's missing the apple quality design/feel.Brilliant piece of tech, perfect size for me.The 6 is awesome as well and for a phone is probably the perfect size.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically, browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone. Some lucky enough to witness one in person are amazed and mesmerized, others scream in horror at the size of it and run away.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBBut the size of the iphone 6 is great as well, fits really nice in the hand.Just it's harder to fit in my pockets already (the iPhone 5/5s was the perfect size for me).Brilliant contrast and color, and of course very sharp and the extra size is nice.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.Perfect size to be honest for me now after having the phone 3 days now.I had the 1st gen Moto X 4.7", then accidentally destroyed it and had to get the Nexus 5, which was almost perfect size wise, and think the 5.2" 2nd gen Moto X will be perfect for me.Or smart phones that are the size of an iPhone 5. so you're kind of stuck so just be happy with the iPhone 6 and try not to complain for much.I think the 6 is perfect size for one hand, and I'm going 6+ and don't think that's all too awkward either. It's simply stunning and the screen size is perfect.Size wise the phones are a perfect fit.I had exhibited my photos even made with my iPhone 4, so creativity is more important then anything (I have a nice DSLR with pro lenses for sharp, micro... images if I need features such as IS)... Now, I hold my 6 confidently, easely (I even have lond fingers), descretely if I want, screen size is perfect, nice for photo viewing, navigation, browsing internet, traveling to other places and speaking/making photos without drawing too much attention... Will defenately chose the same size the next time.I wish Apple would simply have three different sizes each year to give all customers their ideal size: 4 4.7 5.5 Hell even if they simply put the A8 and focus pixels in the 5s I'd be a happy camper. And, as an honest person giving an honest answer, the iPhone 4 and 5 are too small, not for one handed use, obviously, but that screen size is too small for what I want to do.To be quite honest, I wanted the 6+, but when I saw the 6 (at the Apple Store), I realize it's the perfect size phone.I personally though the 5/5S was perfect in size, it was small enough to fit in jacket pockets, shirt pockets, easier enough to use one handed even for smaller handed people. This one seems like the perfect size for me... Congratz to all of us that have a shiny new iPhone 6/6+ We are all the lucky ones! This display is nice to read from portrait or landscape, but the size is so weird to carry. The size is perfect and the screen is beyond gorgeous. It is the perfect size (although I do wish they cut down the bezels more and fit a 5" screen in the same size device). The 6 is very nice size, my husband thinks it's perfect.I was very happy with the size and happy to see that it seemingly fits okay in my pockets. It's kind of funny reading the back and forth in the size debate.Looks great and seems to be perfect size for me.The iPhone 6 has a perfect size and looks amazing.Beautifully crafted, perfect size, screen is gorgeous!UGLY UGLY iPhones no matter what size.I'm fairly sure I'll be a happy camper with the 6+, if playing around with an LG G3 at Best Buy didn't prove to me that the screen size wasn't too bad, seeing the actual phone in someone's hands was. However, since I don't have a purse nor really baggy/cargo pants (I don't wear skinny jeans either, I wear stuff that looks good - and that's not anything really baggy and sloppy), I couldn't get over the size of the 6 Plus as I had worries about how it'd fit in my pocket - particularly when sitting down.- Both Phones are as fast if not a BIT faster than the 5S 6: - The perfect portable size for all hand sizes - Performance is 5-10 percent better than Plus - Easier to Read, A bit better to type than 5/5S 6 Plus: - Perfect size for bigger hands - Better for pictures and movies than 6 - retaining that iconic Apple'sh bezel thus, distinguishing it instantly vs. other non-iDevices; for it's lightness and thinness / width and volume - it looks like perfect fit for me (a big challenge for my pockets and fashion looks but I have solutions or way around to this, so let's see).I find it really funny how a couple years ago when Samsung INTRODUCED the Note phablet just about everyone here said how it was such a stupid idea because it was so large and said they'd never buy an iPhone bigger than 4" because 4" was the perfect size. That being said, the nice thing for Apple to do after years of proclaimining they had mobile phone operation "figured out" and that 3.5-4" was the "perfect size" would have been to at least offer one as an OPTION.I'm looking at upgrading, but the price of the iPhone 6, as nice as it is and perfect in size to me, is making me seriously consider the new Moto X and switching to Android.I prefer the more manageable size of 6 but the screen size of 6+ make it the must-have for me and my able to watch live in much bigger screen the glorious Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Champions League, Euro 2016 Qualifying, Ligue 1, MLS beautiful futbol games anywhere I am.This might be of interest to some of you thinking about upgrading to one of the newer iPhones based on screen size: There's something nice about the fit of the items on the iPhone 5, although as always the extra resolution does help see more.Looks like a great size...glad I got the 6+!What I say to everyone who asks me about size: "The 4.7 is the perfect size for a smartphone, the 5.5 is the perfect size for me."The awesome screen size is well worth itCouple reasons... the rMini has the amazing Smart Cover that allows it to stand on a hotel nightstand, and the rMini's battery is way way longer and its overall screen size is almost double the real estate.. so going to keep using it as my media device :-)It would have been nice to see how "perfect" that size was with regards to sales with true options available. It's the perfect size and a great phone. If a particular screen size was perfect X years ago, it would still be perfect today.Apple has just thrust upon it's fans 2 bigger-screen phones that are well above what was previously spun as a "perfect" size at 4", which itself was a fairly big hop up from what was previously spun as a "perfect" size at 3.5".Feel free to sound off which version you are getting (including size) as I'm curious what the average on the forum will be Apple kind of threw us a curve ball by bumping the 2nd tier to 64gb but still keeping the paltry 16gb as the base model.I am kind of glad that the 8MP stayed... the dimensions are just fine and the file size won't increase... unlike the quality of the photos. To be honest I'm happy with my current iPhone 5 size and all as it does pretty much all I need it to do.Agreed, maybe I'll change my mind once I have one but I've tried the Galaxy Note 3 before and hated how it two-hands was an absolute requirement to function At the moment the Xperia Z3 Compact is my personal favorite device on the horizon based on its compact size for one-handed use, flagship specs (snapdragon 801, 2gb RAM, micro SD, 20mp camera) and great battery size at 2600mAh.4,7" is perfect size for a modern smart phone.I get why some of us hate the idea of it, but we're a biased bunch, thoroughly accustomed to 4" as the still "perfect" size as handed down by the Apple.Yes I'll keep my 5s cause it still works, the screen size is perfect, and looks beautiful and the iphone 6 looks to big and looks like a ipod with a sim slotThe 5S has an amazing screen size and the 4.7 will be the perfect size if we can use it with one hand use.Having been around when this crowd referred to everything above the originally "perfect" size of 3.5" as "abominations", "stupid" and "99% don't want" and then watching them shift to 4" and deem everything above 4" as "abominations" "stupid", and "99% don't want", I find the whole shift to 4.7" as the third new "perfect" hilarious. While people here are very passionate about 4" now (and 3.5" back when it was the one and only "perfect" size), I'm doubting the same level of passion for <=4" shows itself beyond the Apple faithful. It's because every time Apple said "X inches is the perfect phone size" - everyone jumped on that comment and agreed - all the recent comments you're referencing are targeting hypocritical commenters who would just jump on the bandwagon of whatever Apple said was the "perfect size" - and also because they would incessantly make fun of Android manufacturers and WP manufacturers for building bigger phones. And the switch to the A7 with phenomenal performance and 64bit architecture (with the A8 instruction set and new GPU), DDR 3 RAM (w/a 4mb 'on die SoC' buffer), fingerprint scan system second to none and a wicked camera (1080p is truly amazing, still capture is definitely a well refined with an awesome and perfect for sensor size 8mp, f2.2 with 10fps full Rez bursts as long as you hold the shutter down), continued progression of their IPS display technology and implementation..the 5s is AS good as ANY of the flagship Android 2014 handsets. It's funny how everyone says the current iPhone size is the perfect size until the next iPhone drops. You can have my 3.5" iPhone 4S when you pull it from my cold, dead hands; or when the performance is bad enough that I can't stand it and you offer me enough cash for it 3.5" is the perfect screen size in my opinion. My current iphone size is perfect and doesn't need to be the size of my ipad that also is the perfect size, and my ipad doesn't need to be the size of my imac that also is the perfect size.I read this comment 1000 times on this forum about "I think 3.5" is the perfect size for a phone" then in 2012 "I think 4.0" is the perfect size for a phone" Now in 2014 "I think 4.7" is the perfect size for a phone."It was awesome (4" is a very nice screen size for me), and I found some really nice app replacements that were very, very nice.------------------- Nice Name: iPhone 5s Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: Generation: CPU speed: 1.3GHz Screen size: 4 inch Screen resolution: 1136x640 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 4 (January) Model introduced: 2013 Capacity: 64GB Memory - 18mb file size Angry Birds 2014 on a larger screen iPhone 6 - 72mb 3.2mp camera 0.4~mb VGA video 1 minute 33mb 8.0mp camera 1.7~mb 1080 video 1 minute 142mb I hope my question made sense..See its just arbitrary that that is something "bad" that its that size.My work phone is a Samsung S5 and the size is extremely annoying in pockets (I wear loose fit khaki's/jeans; not skinny) and not very portable.I got so annoyed by the note 2's screen size, I ended up going back to my trusty old dumb phone for the actual phone part. The screen size might be amazing to use but when you have to carry the device in jeans/trouser pockets and often find yourself needing to use it one handed on public transport, it is totally impractical for some people.See its just arbitrary that that is something "bad" that its that size.IMHO the speculated 5.5" size is just too excessive, in fact it would be the perfect example of why many poke fun of phablets to begin with (unwieldy, goofy-looking, cumbersome, requires a backpack or man-bag to carry, etc). That is a paltry number in relation it's sheer size.Honestly, there are times I wish my iPhone 5 was larger(when I'm awake, walking around) and there are times when I find it too big(when I'm lying in bed, on my side, trying to hold it with one hand at a weird angle) Over all I don't miss the Nexus Galaxy I had(screen size wise) I don't have any problem with Apple allowing more choices in their line up.I think the 5 is awesome, but my 4S is the perfect size and in my estimation an awesomerrrrr phone.

I noticed some 128 +'s in stock today at some of the Canadian Apple Stores, so that's a promising sign that they're moving. This, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusIt seems clear from your description that when moving, the location will be problematic, but I'm still unclear as to why would this would be the case even when I'm standing stock still.Apple has enough stock to keep enough people happy while making some others very eager with anticipation.I am glad that people are getting lucky and finding one in stock, but this whole pre-order thing is over for me.I also purchased a basic phone as a second line.... Later in the day i got a phone call saying my card was declined..called and approved but at that point my order was pushed further in the que... waited and waited and nothing changed... until today and kept checking this forum to see where everyone was at....and after finally waiting for so long i gave up and was LUCKY enough to find a device at a Best Buy Mobile store via: idevicechecker.com I would definetely recommend it..got there wiht no line and got my new SILVER 128 gb plus...and I decided to stay with my carrier.. ATT customer service was worthless...they didn't know what they were talking about and was always getting the run around..ontop of that the LG basic phone I ordered was in stock but they never shipped it to me and its always says backordered.....We have an NC specific thread going and I was #1 in line at the Friendly Center store and talked to the employee that stepped outside 30 minutes prior to store opening to take walk-in reservations and another member of the NC thread was at the Crabtree store at the same time I was at the Friendly store and we compared stock reports from employees that morning.I was happy to pay for full price for an out of contract phone (TMobile) - They never used the reservation system - We were told the store had all skus in stock, and based on our spot in line, we'd get what we want - Our line just stopped moving - Come 1:00 - we heard - second hand - all the 6P inventory was gone - which is difficult to understand because our line did not move.I already tried going to my store to ask if some kind of demon magic had been used and they had 6+'s in stock - alas, no demon portal there...Go to Apple store and demand they open up all of their launch day stock in front of me until I find the perfect phone that suits my perfect existence.I'm also betting the new "Yes, we have the new iphone" campaign and the sudden insurgence of stock sent to stores is to counteract the bad word of mouth/publicity they are getting from the thousands of disgruntled orderers. What makes me even more frustrated is 3 Apple store here in town have the 128gb SG Plus in stock....but since AT&T let me upgrade early, and I cancel my order, I can't upgrade until November 9th anyway.... Its just frustrating knowing ALL THREE stores in town have the 128gb SG Plus in stock as of now....so today I went to a local apple store cause they had some 6 16s in stock so I was going to buy in store and their also getting the same message on their apple pay 5s devices, so the very nice rep {not the ones all pumped up and wanting to give u a high five in the middle of store cause u got a damn 6 16gb silver} said he would see what he could do to remove the block but nothing worked and in the end I just left and he said I should try Verizon again but if it works on their end I highly doubt they will help further.I got my letter from Apple that "my items should ship between oct 20-27" That is right on track for my delivery estimate of Oct28-Nov4 Unlocked sg+128 9/29 Apple is dumb for making only one black front faced phone and two white............ most of us use cases and you never see the gold..sg..silver... but you see the front and most people want black except for girls and impatient people because its the only phone that might be in stock near you... rant over...all just not cool when i've paid 1K for an iPhone and cases and it had a kernel panic, must have been a bad chip, so weird as i mentioned it on my old mac book, when i wrote the thread - i think peeps from UK were posting thinking i could just pop over to a store, time difference, plus i was not sure if could store could even help b/c of stock issues..... what are the odds of 2 KP's esp one on an iPhone!I seriously think Apple just posts fake stock for bots to try and buy like someone else said.. Because I was waiting for that and I even checked the stock on another device on apple's website a second before I pressed buy and it said available and then after I tried and got the error it immediately switched to unavailable... Like they just post one to trick bots into trying to buy it quickly for someone and it automatically fails on purpose and the stock is gone.. Apple please stop fake stocking your storesit makes me mad to see all the sprint plus's available sprint should be ashamed of themselves for having this much stock availableSeems strange -- imagine the other side of the coin where they don't have the one you picked out during the order because someone else switched out their ordered one for your color -- seems a bit unfair esp considering the lack of stock. We put so much stock into negative emails yet nothing into credible evidence to the contrary.Third, no stock and slow shipping results in bad publicity and customer complaints - which lead to even more bad publicity.

update
Ill stay at least until Gingersnap gets hers from apple and she becomes happy again- Update: Tracking number updated and phone is shipping from Fort Worth, TX and its Next day air!I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI am happy to report impressive battery life since the update so it seems to be working well on my iPhone 6 iPhone 6 64GB (AT&T) // iPad Mini (Wifi) // 2013 MacBook Pro RetinaDid that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBBeautiful screen alone was worth the update.Pre-ordered 6+ 64GB SG @ 1.46am CDT on 9/12 Estimated delivery 10/2 - 10/13 My AT&T site reads 'pending shipment' Cancel button on premier site reappeared 3-4 days ago No sign of any shipment or tracking number Happy for others seeing some progress ... just wish I could see some kind of update!iOS7 was a nice update and made the my iPhone 5 feel like a new phone again and if nothing else the iPad Air I just purchased was nice due to it's speed and screen. The Nexus 5 for me has been great, it was my first 4G phone (London) and signal is great, battery was a bit meh but I wiped my phone and has since doubled, the camera is good enough, the 4.2.2 update fixed the slow focusing. The 6 runs the 64bit chip while he 5 dose not and with each iOS update you will see you 5 getting worse and worse. With the shoddy update that was/is iOS 8, your phone could get bricked/slowed down thanks to terrible coding.Disappointed, hope it will be a future update as it's handy, but definitely not enough for me to go and buy the plus.Got tired of the phone looking mismatched, and tired of having to reapply icons after every update.I was also a bit annoyed at how quickly Apple drop update support for previous models (little did I realise how much worse the situation can be with non-Nexus devices on Android).****^ I don't find your sarcasm amusing The end tester(s) @ Apple that gave the go ahead to release this update needs to be fired Sad....Steve Job has passed awayIt's the same thing every time we have one of these.... Everyone gets all spun up and Apple Logos appear in their eyes....We make ludicrous posts about how Apple is the greatest and we can't wait to stand in line at 3 am to purchase it.... And then the Keynote happens and we will come back and say what an awful update that was and how underwhelmed we are by the newest Apple offerings....Then we may buy it...We may preorder it but only because the battery life sucks on the 6 month old 5S we currently have....Worked great, but was made obsolete quite soon with that terrible iOS 4 update that basically killed the performance.Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power.Twice Also did a ##update# no luck Googled the issue, and every result was indicating a bad SIM - although, they were posts for 4, 4S and 5 (Around October 8 for the 5) which did not correlate to an update I would not really even consider the update being an issue if it weren't for a few of us with the same experience of updating, and then immediately having the issue Too weird Anyway, point of the post was to see if anyone else had this, which, some did - and as a heads up for others beating a dead horse now.Being "worried" about an unannounced software update to your mobile phone is, well, pathetic.

The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..iOS 8 > Android 4.4 + 4.5 iOS Maps today > Google Maps on Android 1GB of ram hasn't been as detrimental as I thought iPhone at 4.7" is pretty damned good size wise and it's fast.LTE in Chicago, IL near Downtown on this plan :-) I have done half a dozen speed tests, over 500 emails this month, messaging, google maps GPS navigation on probably 200-300miles worth, few hours of pandora streaming and I've used 1.2GB of data this month....still got 8 more days and 800MB remaining, this plan is great!

The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..-Excellent build quality - Consistent battery life - Great performance - Almost flawless stability - Very bright display - Best app quality when compared with Android - Don't have to wait for carriers when system updates release - Excellent audio quality -Touch ID is a blessingFeels great in the hand, with a nice weight, although after 2 (3 if you include the 6+) screen size updates it does seem pretty small now.Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.(This is my favorite thread every year) I think with the 5 I kept refreshing at 9:55p ET, I'm going to try both - I'm sure after tonight we'll know for sure when online store inventory updates. No carrier bloat, fast updates, great camera, everything working smoothly - outstanding. But like I said, I don't think two years in unreasonable for smart phones, especially when Apple updates the iOS rendering the older models obsolete.then the bad radios and the horrible battery life and slow updates and to this day when ever we go look at phones they say don't ever listen to him he'll have u get the worst for Verizon has to offer while tellin u how awesome it is.I am so frustrated and ATT is completely worthless when asking for updates!I had 2.3 gingerbread android phone for 18 months and while android itself was fun to use the weak hardware and lack of regular updates let the experience down considerably. So much stuff could be done even without having to root your phone. Then I switched to Lumia 520 and it was a breath of fresh air the simple yet elegant ui is great windows phone 8 is a cool ecosystem.Just this week I bought iPhone 3GS with ios 6 which is a little inferior to iphone 6 i would guess and I like the OS it's smooth and fluid and the phone is also well built although camera quality is not so good but everything else is good.So I like all 3 platforms equally well.
numbers
My opinion is all manufacturers must mark honest capacity on their production and not confuse customers with this meaningless numbers.people prefer ram to battery life, that's something i'd never expect.. to be honest the only thing missing from a perfect phone for me is: 2gb ram, water-resistant, improved scratch resistance, less bezels and a more efficient battery life (=> the day that the "up to" advertised numbers become standard numbers (meaning 10h = 10h, not 10h = 4h.)Not that it's still not more than fast enough, but the change is pretty drastic numbers wise.I've had plenty of samsung friends who said the retina display looks nice and i've had many iOS friends who said samsung screens look nice; i doubt either had any idea with the exact PPI numbers were. While I'm more than happy with those numbers (my 4s battery was shot and giving me 2-3 hours max just sitting on the table) I have to be honest, last charge it showed similar numbers so I left the house with 30% thinking it would be more than enough to last me while I went out for a bit and wouldn't need to charge it til I got home...phone died within 3 hours.F2 = Factory - not sure of which L = unknown J9 = production week - in your case week 35 (September) XXX = your identifying numbers (unique to your phone only) XXX6 = (last four characters) indicate what model of phone you have - this is not unique to your phone, but the same for all of your model - it would be nice if you provided that for the chart that some of us have been updating in previous posts Awesome. So I ordered my 5s last year and used the trick of using a dumb phone on the plan to upgrade to the 5S and then switching phone numbers to my personal line, keeping the Unlimited, and then dropping the data plan from my now dumb phone again. However, every other screenshot I've seen has also shown the design capacity to be 2855, so I'm assuming that the report of 2915 is inaccurate, or the app you're using to display these numbers is inaccurate.Hmm...I saw the same thing when I put in my phone numbers and then a fake number to see what was happening, but if I put in a fake number (even a valid land line number) it doesn't work.My experience has been less than stellar with AT&T when a fraud rep says your husband of 27 years did this because he calls Mich and has been calling the same number the thieves used for their insurance claim then has to retract it because the numbers are to Flint Mich vs South Field Mich that's bad.Nice Wifi numbers but if the others are LTE then they're pretty terribleIn my testing using the numeric numbers for signal strength I have had the same results 100% of the time... if signal is 0-65 it's good wifi with great speed, but if it is 65+ forget it.. ugly, super slow.
keyboard
But recently I stopped using one on my iPad due to the fit with my favorite keyboard.I think it would fit in the hands a little better and give room to either make the keyboard a little bigger or maybe add some of the nice new keys that landscape got.Phone is cool i love the size not too big and keyboard is amazing now time to wait for jb.... Video is amazingSo far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance.I'm eager to try a new solution (or mechanical keyboard) if someone knows of something worth trying. An iPhone keyboard isn't even close to get me to switch operating systems but I'll admit that keyboard is pretty awesome, though it won't be long until one just like that on my awesome six plus!I've experienced the erroneous "pic not sent" message or whatever it says but also sometimes while I'm typing it will insert a random pic from my photo album in the message which is annoying but not a big deal but a hassle on that tiny little keyboard.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. With a very spacious, beautiful 5" display and SWYPE lightning fast keyboard, I'm very happy that I embraced change.2 Mac Minis MacBook Pro 13 2011 2 Apple TV Airport Basestation Extreme Airport express iPad 2 iPad mini iPad Air 2 iPhone 5 (one for me, one for wife) Bluetooth keyboards Magic Trackpads Magic Mouse USB keyboard Numerous chargers, cables, Cool starry bras.Wife has iPhone 4S 16GB White iPad 2 16GB Wifi Accessories:- 2 Apple Battery Chargers - Good deal and really practical Magic Trackpad for the Macbook Air Magic Mouse for the Macbook Air Apple Wireless Keyboard for the Macbook Air Apple Superdrive for the Macbook Air (rarely ever use it)Nothing I hate worse than people typing LOL when they not funny..I picture a lonely guy behind a keyboard giggling to himself..And as dissatisfied as I still am with Siri's limitations, it is dwarfed by how dissatisfied I am with Apple's touch keyboard experience on this tiny screen.Mayhaps the "punctuation keys" on their keyboard are broken/busted, or else the nerves that control the fingers that tap those keys are defective, or they have motor neuron disease and get tired "puffing" at the keyboard, or perhaps they only have a finite amount of time left on this Earth and have decided not to waste it on the split seconds of time it takes to punctuate thought trains.I'm very unhappy with the arbitrary lack of swype keyboard and global sound EQ.this is my expectations/wishlist for the iphone 5 -8 megapixel camera -hd front facing camera -A5 1GHz dual-core chip -some changes to design -7.5mm depth -4" display -better battery life (average 1 extra hour on all battery specs) -external keyboard (dont think it will happen but would be nice) -3d screen (doubtfull for the iphone 5 but hopefully soon) -death grip fix -live wallpaper (seen it on jailbroken ipads and it looks amazing) -im deffinately not expecting apple to do all of the things in my list on the iphone 5 but it would be nice P.S.

test
This was pretty much a major test for me, so I was glad to see that it fit.I'm pretty confident I can do that to a 5, 5S ... and majority of popular smart phones out there ... (though plastic would probably crack) ... that doesn't seem like a real world test ...I got to do a real "test drive" on it, and although it was super impressive & the screen was awesome...I had to face the truth that it just wasn't the device for me, given a choice of the smaller version. My coworker let me borrow one of his lines and test AT&T because I told him my test with my Verizon iPhone last month was an epic fail Turns out this test was flawless at my home using his account So yesterday Verizon lost my 3 line account to AT&T- I had to get my iPhone 5s reprovisioned again which was the issue the last time and why service was so slow on AT&TUm, PhoneArena battery testing is awful and they dont even disclose how they run their tests, they are not reliable at all, Anandtech has the best real world life usage testing PhoneArena doesnt even disclose how they do their testign, they dont go at all into details, their testing is not reliable and doesnt match more then half the times with multiple other battery tests done by other websites and also reviews Anandtech is one of the most reliable, reputable non biased websites on the web, their results and testing and analysis is really almost unmatched in the industry Anand does not write any articles or post anymore on Anandtech, he has put others complelty in charge and now works basically full time at Apple, you dont just throw out years of extremely reputable fame and non bias and renown that Anandtech has built over the years with the industry, terrible damage control, its widely known now that PhoneArenas testing is flawed and that they dont even disclose their testing Lol yeah, im sure the iPhone 6 plus only gets one hour more of battery life then the 6, what a joke, nobody takes PhoneArenas testing seriously anyway, their testing is flawed they dont even disclose how they do their test I went from a 6 to a Plus and I get way more then one extra hour of battery life with my Plus What do you expect, it powers a Quad HD screen , the GPU has to push more pixels, the display is bigger and has a bigger drain on the battery, the 28nm Snapdragon 805 is not as power efficient as the 20nm Apple A8, this was pretty obvious just by looking at the specs on paperI'm waiting till it's bad enough to pass Apple unrealistic test and have it exchanged under Applecare (the only one gurus will believe, they just refuse to see what's plain in front of their eyes and only trust The Test). So there you have it, real world torture test from a tired middle-aged couple with the usual careless habits couples like us have and a crazy cat that, before we adopted it, probably worked as a movie extra as That Cat that pops out of cupboards and fakes the audience out in horror films. But my wife intentionally wanted to "wait and see", and between the bending, the initial bad screen shatter test, and then the 8.0.1 debacle, she's like, "Oh, I'm so glad I didn't get the phone."How annoying is it when they do that damn test monthly or weekly or god knows how often and they insist on blaring it like the most annoying and loud sound you have ever heard.Always ask the buyer to bring a SIM so that both parties can verify the device fully functioning [Note: Scammers usually don't sit to inspect the device nor bring SIM cards to test devices] Additional Notes: - eBay buyers can open a dispute against the seller up to 30days after the purchase and correct me If I'm wrong, Paypal direct sales can be disputed against up to 45days === DO NOT SELL YOUR iDEVICES DIRECTLY VIA PAYPAL, NO MATTER HOW NICE OR CONVINCING THE BUYER MAY BE, YOUR PROTECTION LEVEL IS LOWER vs having eBay on board.
idea
what I find amazing is that after the success of Lewis bending video, which surely gave him some huge cash, nobody but nobody in this world came up with the idea of making a video of a straight iPhone 6 or 6 Plus being put in a pocket and then taken off it bent....by magic like all the bend cases we keep seeing on here....I tried to figure out if AT&T Next would be cheaper but their website is really damn confusing and I have no idea how my corporate discount would apply. Now I kind of figure that despite getting an order through less than 25 mins after the pre-order was SUPPOSED to start(no matter that some were able to get through early, most of us were refreshing early like you, so please don't act like you had one over on us), since I haven't even gotten the "you're screwed we have no idea when you will get a phone" email, there is no end in sight.mohammad : smh and bet you guys are the ones to deal with the angry customers mohammad: yeah but atleast resale is going to be high Cody Ritch: you have no idea seriously Cody Ritch: We really try to make sure everybody is happy.I find it really funny how a couple years ago when Samsung INTRODUCED the Note phablet just about everyone here said how it was such a stupid idea because it was so large and said they'd never buy an iPhone bigger than 4" because 4" was the perfect size. She apologized profusely for me not getting my phone right away, and I kind of hemmed and hawed about them not being able to expedite the shipping without getting mean or being rude (she really was a very nice young lady; I have no idea how she sounded so enthusiastic this early in the morning), and then she finally said "But you know what I could do..." and offered me a free leather case.I get why some of us hate the idea of it, but we're a biased bunch, thoroughly accustomed to 4" as the still "perfect" size as handed down by the Apple. They are great for getting a general idea of how big the screens might be I am actually happy with the 4 inch screen I had a little trouble reaching all of the corners of the screen on the 4.7 inch screen.I think that using sapphire glass is a brilliant idea, making the screen so that it doesn't scratch is great business sense for Apple, they make a phone where you don't need a screen protector and they can bump up the price to compensate.FWIW, I think it is indeed a wonderful idea that a teenager get a job if she/he wants a smart phone.TouchID is "magic", a very brilliant idea.I've had plenty of samsung friends who said the retina display looks nice and i've had many iOS friends who said samsung screens look nice; i doubt either had any idea with the exact PPI numbers were.I have no idea, but this ad just makes me feel so happy and cheery and whatnot.I didn't like the idea of plastic or of the bright colors at first, I'm pretty happy with a nice sleek black and I love the feel of the aluminum, but reading everyone's posts is starting to make me wish I had an upgrade soon!Tmobile won't launch lte till 2013 and even then it will probably only be in a select few cities so its not a bad idea to buy the verizon version Nice I traded my att iPhone 5 for the Verizon one just because I will probably never have tmobiles lte in my area and the Verizon version supports a lot more bands and one day I might go to Verizon they have lte in my areaI highly doubt it is from a lack of RAM, I think I know what your talking about, because this one website I visit alot called gamespot.com crashes on my Plus 9/10 times and I have no idea why, it actually crashes my springboard, this forums I visit on Gamespot, and it only happens on this website which I have no idea why....it is so weird because when I had the 4.7 inch i6 before I switched to the Plus, this website never ever crashed on my 6....so weird...At the time I had no idea what his reason could have been but dishonesty always troubles me and only bad things seem to follow and I felt that we had time to stop the whole thing from getting ugly.I guess I'm just batting around the idea of doing this and one side of me wants to do it immediately but the other side of me thinks it's not worth any kind of risk.It was terrible idea and takes up ugly screen space on bottom might as well have a home button.I've already got a hit on my credit report from some collection somewhere I have no idea about and I'm still investigating and I'm just worried about putting more weird dings on.You seem like a lovely, intelligent person but in this case I hope you are an idiot with no idea what you're talking aboutI honestly don't know why they have to lie....what's worse: giving false information or telling the truth "we have no idea what the ******* is going on"What a sad statement it is that people are practically salivating over the idea of other iPhone buyers being dissatisfied with their purchase.Bad, bad idea right now.OK, not a clever idea, but lots of people are smart enough to commit a crime but not smart enough to figure out the consequences when they get caught.= Really dumb idea..Really, really dumbBuying used phones off of craigslist is a bad, bad idea!Just for the record I'm really clumsy so protecting my screen is never a bad idea. But, my point again is that: If not having 'word wrap' is really a bad idea on iOS.. then people should agree and accept that this is inferior and consider to recommend that 'word wrap' should be available by default or at least turn it on somehow through options.
file size
I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBI am kind of glad that the 8MP stayed... the dimensions are just fine and the file size won't increase... unlike the quality of the photos. The sensor has to be bigger other wise you are just taking photos that take up more precious storage due to the larger file size.Example: Angry Birds 2009 - 18mb file size Angry Birds 2014 on a larger screen iPhone 6 - 72mb 3.2mp camera 0.4~mb VGA video 1 minute 33mb 8.0mp camera 1.7~mb 1080 video 1 minute 142mb I hope my question made sense..

battery size
Something about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )Yeah, pretty amazing how sony can fit in a 4.6 inch screen, microSD slot, and 2600mAh battery into something the size of an iPhone 5s.Couple reasons... the rMini has the amazing Smart Cover that allows it to stand on a hotel nightstand, and the rMini's battery is way way longer and its overall screen size is almost double the real estate.. so going to keep using it as my media device :-)Agreed, maybe I'll change my mind once I have one but I've tried the Galaxy Note 3 before and hated how it two-hands was an absolute requirement to function At the moment the Xperia Z3 Compact is my personal favorite device on the horizon based on its compact size for one-handed use, flagship specs (snapdragon 801, 2gb RAM, micro SD, 20mp camera) and great battery size at 2600mAh.

ui
With a few tweaks and intelligent UI design, I think a even a 5.5" screen can be made single hand friendly and more importantly, a phone worth manufacturing instead of simply a means to attract buyers which have been lured away by android thanks to "bigger is better no matter what" mentality. It's also worth nothing that right now performance wise, at first glance and in UI terms, there is very little between the 5s and the 5c.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. It's such a cool app with a great UI and awesome sounds. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyCluttered, UI is absolutely horrid, **** all over the place, just absolutely horrible homescreen.I had 2.3 gingerbread android phone for 18 months and while android itself was fun to use the weak hardware and lack of regular updates let the experience down considerably. The only phone I've ever regretted was the Galaxy S4, which I thought was cheap and ugly and the Touchwiz UI was atrocious.
love
Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfThis, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusFunny how I dislike it when it was introduced (ugly), but when I held one I fell in love.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKwould not trade it for another love the larger screen for these retired old eyes no "pocket problems" better Nav screen for the car great for videos great for surfing websites overall just a great improvement.... and I think it's interesting reading the posts that seem to think "everyone will see you have a large phone" hogwash - nobody so far has even noticed it - in the real world (outside forums) no one seems to give a damn what phone I have...LOLGreat post mate and im still loving mine, had a few snide comments at work about having a yellow phone but then caught the main one looking at new iphones on the web lol Still pick this thing up and love it, have gone white with 4, 4S and 5 but agree the black front totally works with the vibrant colours, white would just not give the same look im also amazed at the number of U turns from 5S back to 5C, love it, keep any more pics coming as love seeing them and it keeps this great thread going!come and take a close look my colorful cheaper phones, these are just for you.. also I have same model, no need to enter password just touch your with finger... you see.. ) i hope you forgot about big screen love.. why do you need such things, i know better then you.. this size is most ideal, just perfect.. you drive car when you use your phone, or do something when you are using your phone, it is best with only my phone ) but if you really wnat something big, I have even much bigger than what you want.I admit Siri is kind of sexy, but I'm a little concerned that you are in love with your phone.Your false bravado and incredulity are boring, and though it's hilarious that you're willing to declare the love you have for your 6 Plus out of one side of your mouth while out of the other judging people for buying devices made through what you deem child abuse and near-slave labor, falling back on tired "FOX News" insults just proves that you're a dime store talking head and not worth the time.Love of money ends up making a tech company boring as fsck and TC is boring as fsck.
ipod
I use my 5s as ipod , its too small i cant use it as main phone anymore im glad im using the 6 plus, will never go back to small screen, but i understand if some choose smaller iphone,as long as its apple made i know its great choiceSo we aren't trying to "fit" the 6+ into our existing workflow (like we did with the 4S->5 transition), we're supposed to adjust our workflow to fit the device (like we did when we first got an iPad, iPod or AppleTV).I think the 6 is great for a smartphone that you will bring everywhere and do not need to worry about will it fit here or there or should I switch to an iPod Nano or something for the gym, etc.... Those of us, me included, with the 6+ will figure it out.I'm not worried about the protruding camera (I've had an iPod Touch for ages and the camera isn't affected at all, nor is it very noticeable) but those antenna lines look terrible and there's still way too much bezel. And only the note added some functionality worth of changing my mac environment (imac, MBA, ipad retina, ipod classic, iPhone 5s) I managed to integrate android almost seamlessly and discovered it is a great os and learned quite a few things.Yes I'll keep my 5s cause it still works, the screen size is perfect, and looks beautiful and the iphone 6 looks to big and looks like a ipod with a sim slotI been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.Well my older brother telling me he was buying me a MacBook for college and letting me keep the free iPod These products always worked great and I needed a smart phone for work so I got the iPhone. The glossy surface and fantastic colors make it look sleek and stylish and I love that it has a black screen (I'm not very attracted to white iPhones or the white screens on the iPod touch 5).I am quite excited because I have liked these handheld elegant sleek apple products like the iPod touch 5th generation which I bought a month after it came out.its a great purchase to be used a iPod or iPhone, if you are not a heavy user and just want a "iPod" that may be able to make calls if needed, this is great. You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsYa, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.iPod Shuffle 2011 Silver - handy for travelling and the gym Apple TV 3 - The magic hockey puck. It's kind of funny with this water thing, I had a second gen iPod touch a few years ago and somehow I managed to render the sleep button useless from my sweat on an arm band after a run.the original iPhone sold for $500, $600 what are you guys getting so worked up about at this point many of these auctions aren't even breaking even lol lock this thread, put the phone away for 20 years and see if it's worth anything btw at least it's a first gen, those are the only version collectors are ever worried about ( no one in history is going to give a crap about a 3rd gen iPod shuffle lol)On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I bought my daughter a new iPod touch 5th gen today and wow it seems like a lot more quality control is going on there cuz it's flawless it's beautiful not a mark but give it a few months right lolIt is too bad your old iPod 2g doesn't work, I'm sure it was pretty cool back then...too bad they've "discontinued" the classics.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

Just reading a wall of text is kind of useless with these kind of things.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKnow i have to tap the screen to see if i missed something like one of those rude and annoying teens that cannot hold a conversation at a restaurant table and i hate myself for it lol i used to see "green" ah okay its a whatsapp text, ill answer it after dinner or white oh its an email from uni i better check that.If I wasn't on a family plan only paying for unlimited data then I would be on one of the following: - Verizons $60/mo 2gb + unlim talk & text plan (includes phone subsidy worth $18.75/mo) - Crickets $35/mo 1gb + unlim talk & text plan - Brightspot Mobiles $29/mo 3gb + 300 min + unlim text Gun to my head right now I'd pick Verizon's deal, best combination of great network and value on an individual currently running IMO.On the tad yellow I had to turn bold on (to see the text better), but on my tad pink, I had to shut bold off (to see the background better). Now I know some people like their phones big - the 6 is great for watching videos, pictures and displaying plenty of text, and for those people, this phone is perfect!I just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes.I used to but I switched back after updating to iOS 7.1 because they made the bold text too bold.I'm wondering if I should get out soon, before I too become so addicted to how nice the text looks on the screen and how well the Facebook app works and how it all links so seamlessly to my Mac Air that I too become like "who cares if you can't do 101 other basic and important things with the phone, look at how nice that text font is and it's beautiful form factor!!"You are the perfect candidate for prepaid... Aio's $40 a month plan out the door for unlimited, talk, text and 250 MB of data would be perfect. If you offer a phenomenal service/price/deal that they want to sign up for the text alerts, great.it's a wonderful piece of software if you want to dictate, send a message, read a text message or copy cute little commercials you see on tv.It seems Google have gone for the half-arsed 'force text to fit the screen' option rather than the more elegant 'load the page in a readable format from the word go' that Apple takes.Using.. say Evo4G.. or something.. the text reading is like magic.. and with adobe flash.. nothing can be missed.. it is soo wonderful..>> oh never mind.. more and more people are moving to mobile site.. so one doesn't have to worry.. << On almost all "mobile" sites, the text size assumes perfect vision and, for me, even with reading glasses, the text size on almost all mobile sites is too small to read without zooming... so, even on the mobile sites, you are faced with the need to scroll each line of text. Now that they make less and less money with text messages it is getting worse and worse.Borg.... resistance is futile...you will be assimilated... you will be the same unsubscribed ps... am I the only one who thinks its weird that their iPhones are so important to them they cannot miss a call or text that its life or death each time... that given all that they actually put the thing down and walk away from it.Although, I won't hold my breath considering my shipping window is 11/5-11/14, not to mention I would that they would cover all of the preorders first, but, it AT&T we are dealing with...To make matters worse, I won't find out until they update either the website or send me a text about my order since the 877 number hasn't worked since I've placed the order (although I still try)... Good luck everyone; I am about as impatient as they come, so for those of you waiting from 9/12, I don't know how you have done it without going mad!(The second biggest factor is that annoying, pointless, and confusing outgoing text sound iphone makes that can't be turned off in non-vibrate mode. Also, LG runs this awful sharpening filter that makes text look terrible. The Moto X in general was a very average phone though - bad battery life (go search forums endless complaints), bad AMOLED screen (whites are really bad and fuzzy text), and the camera was the trifecta of bad.Having a Notes app that decides to dedicate a third of it's window on a 5.5" phone to a largely irrelevant list so the actual note you are typing gets *less* display space than it did on a 4 inch phone is really bad design (and indeed you got more text on a 3.5" screen!).The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.I had been on AT&T since 2010 and just moved to T-Mobile, as mentioned above, love the unlimited data not to mention the talk and text, my plan on AT&T used to be 450m/1000text/2gb data for a monthly charge of $75+tax and now I have unlimited data/talk/text for $30+tax (add on in a family plan) , its awesome , however the service in my home sometimes drops , when I called Customer Service I was told New Tower installation is imminent.T-Mobile has the worst reliability, the worst data performance, the worst call performance and the worst text performance. The inability to opt out and/or getting a second unwanted text would make me never use your services/business again, no matter how great the deals were.Having a cheapo basic (non-internet) throw-away is cheap & can send text msg on it, too, if desperate (extra 10-25-cents or whatever), & it provides an extra ph # for sites & places that require a ph # but you don't want to give them your main/primary iphone #.

bit
Yea it'll make me a bit jealous but then I'll just be more excited when the new iPhone come out the following year. The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but it feels a bit like a ploy for you to lose track of time while browsing the store or possibly fit more (paid) apps on the page.Nearly all my friends/family ripped me saying it was way too big, wouldn't fit in pockets very well etc, but I kept trying to explain to them that yes it was a bit big when sitting in the pocket, but it's only a minor inconvenience and it all fades away to insignificance when you actually use the phone as it's so lovely to use.Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfI am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI love the 5 series design, and I also love and appreciate the 6 design too, I love the sleek black look with the sides sloping off , it looks amazing IMO, With that being said I do wish their Space Gray model was a bit darker, now that would of looked awesome with the black front if the Space Gray is just a bit darkerI either need the smaller 6 or I wish that the 6+ was a bit bigger so that I can hold it the way I want to hold it....I was even thinking that my Kindle Paperwhite would be the perfect size phone for a big phone....seriously, my Kindle Paperwhite feels GREAT as a phone if it were a phone...it fits in my pocket and feels comfortable when I hold it to my head....hoping for a Kindle iPhone 7!Just don't discount the 6 if the 6+ seems like it'd be a bit too large - it's a beautiful phone, a worthy upgrade to the 5, and you'd be very happy with it.As much as I'm very impressed and pleased with my iPhone 6 it would be nice if it felt that bit tougher.I was using on Lumia 520 on this line and, while it wasn't a terrible phone, I am glad to be back to something a bit more responsive.I agree those plus battery screenshots do make me a bit jealous but I can't drain the 6 before I have gone to bed, so sure 2 days would be sweet but as long as I dont have to charge in a 24 hour day I am happyOther than just a bit better camera and a bit faster CPU... And they'll make it seem totally awesome and amazing.im sorry if im a bit harsh its because people should not worried about their phone bending, just be carefull,i love you.I have always felt like the iPad Air, while a very nice product, was a bit of a force fit between my phone and macbook. It's not that noticeable - that photo exaggerates it quite a bit - but I am a bit annoyed considering this has been treated like some kind of precious relic!I asked if Apple could do anything for me to make me happy about this mess and was told (with a bit of an attitude) I should be happy that my delivery window of 10/19-10/30 had been updated to 10/6.Also the ip6/6 Plus and their design and performance and camera and screens are just fantasic and amazing as a whole in the package , extremely top notch specs (ARMv8/64 Bit processor that is top notch performer on the market right now, extremely good front and back cameras, best LCD screens in a smartphone ever(Thats up to you if you prefer OLED over LCD or vice versa) amazing body design in my opinion, really good battery life) I love and adore the look of the new screens how they like overlap on the edges and it morphs into the edges for a nice smooth glide off feeling, (I have a Space gray iPhone 6 and I love so much how the black screen like morphs over the edges and consumes the phones front ) i think it looks much better then any phone out right nowThat may sound a bit harsh, but my god, keep it movingThanks buddy for the kind reply, I totally agree with you, applying one of these films on top of this beautiful display is a bit like killing it...I think the raised lips of the leather case will be plenty for me.It's not terrible but a bit annoying.Nice bit screen bit I'm still able to use it one handed....while the camera is great I really wish it was equal to the 6 plus.I think there is an unfortunate design compromise and a bit disappointed Apple hasn't learnt from similar issues with the 5 and made it even worse, but I still want the phone and will probably keep it with AppleCare+.I was so excited about the iPhone 6 even though I wasn't crazy about the 4.7" screen but now I'm a bit worried that it might be too big for me.You have to look very close to see it and try moving your point of you a little bit by moving the phone.Ooooo that sucks.... it kind of bothered me a bit cause I kept reading other people's experiences, with them saying "they gave me $70 worth of freebees", "they are sending me a new one immediately".Great looking solid aluminum construction, and adjusts quite a bit so you can size it to fit whatever case you are using or none at all.I'm sorry to be rude about this, but "unfair" is a bit of a stretch. With only a day left, I'm a little bit worried, but seeing that the delivery date is still for 9/19 and I ordered Friday when it first became available, I'm not too worried.- Both Phones are as fast if not a BIT faster than the 5S 6: - The perfect portable size for all hand sizes - Performance is 5-10 percent better than Plus - Easier to Read, A bit better to type than 5/5S 6 Plus: - Perfect size for bigger hands - Better for pictures and movies than 6 - Camera gives you 3 extra stops in low light taking portraits compared to 6 - Performance is 5-10 percent less than 6 - Easier to Read, Easier to TypeIt must fit in my jeans as I carry my phone, basically, at all times *** Battery life is still better than on my iPhone 5, but somehow, I simply fear it won't really be an improvement Basically, I feel like the 6+ might be a bit too tall and a bit too wide to fit comfortably in my jeans. The 5 and 5S still fit in it with a bit of a squeeze, but I know there's not a chance the 6 will fit in it, let alone the 6+, hence my recent ordering of a Flipbelt.Nope - I knew I was getting a 6 when I woke up at 2:53AM EST I carry my phone in my front pants pocket all of the time, and did try a co-worker's 5.5" phone in my pocket a couple weeks ago; it fit, and I could sit if I adjusted the phone a bit before sitting, but it was way too obtrusive. However, it's a bit sad that they WREAK of desperation and their marketing agency is much more creative than the company itself.I actually thought about switching to Samsung for a bit for the perfect sized Galaxy at 5"-5.1" A 5" would've been perfect for me.Screen resolutions are all amazing right now, and I don't care about 4k (yet), so even if one is a bit better than the other it still looks great.Lucky for you, it's worth a bit of money for parts. It is still being a bit annoying though and not working every time like it use to (it works most of the time now compared to before when it almost never worked) so I'm still thinking about running into the Apple store if it continues in the next day or two (and I'm really excited to go for first time and check out the displays and all the stuff they sell there). It's a hard one I loved my 5 bit 5c was amazing as well feel wiseI love my 5s, I cannot imagine using an iPhone without Touch ID now, but the 5c is certainly a great device and a great alternative to the 5s for people who want a different shape, a different feel, and a bit of colour. The Nexus 5 for me has been great, it was my first 4G phone (London) and signal is great, battery was a bit meh but I wiped my phone and has since doubled, the camera is good enough, the 4.2.2 update fixed the slow focusing.I'm actually quite happy with my iPhone 5, and since I'll be paying less once out of contract, will probably hang onto it a bit longer than I normally would (unless the iPhone 6 is AMAZING or something) I may actually upgrade to a used 5s once the 6 comes out, because I want that motion processor and TouchID.End result is, I'm not the least bit impressed with new LTE service download speeds are just as bad if not worst that with old sim and it cost me about $300 in upgrades to find this out.i wish they made it a bit thicker and stuck a nice battery to have some impressive battery life. It's rugged (in comparison to 5 & 5S) it's nice to look at especially given the bright colours and it's generally nice to hold with a bit of weight to it.You will need to open your iPhone 5s to be able to view the volume button contacts, and slide something (I used a tiny piece of paper ) inside the gap that makes your volume keys jiggle.... You will need a pentalobular screwdriver (the one that was required to open the iPhone 5) and a suction cup (the kind that you stick on windows and mirror)... just follow the couple of steps on iFixIt website: It worked for me... you must not be scared of opening your iPhone, and be careful enough not to break any connection wires under the screen (read the above iFixIt link for more info) Unfortunately, if it's the power button you want to fix, you wont be able to do it my way My power button jiggles a tiny bit, but it's hardly noticeable... when the iphone was opened I noticed there was no way to properly see the button and gain access to itSo, the compelling reasons boils down to (1) saving a bit of cash at the moment, and (2) maybe going for something even better in 6-10 months when the next great thing comes out of Cupertino.Certain things are clear: 1- 64 bit processor is already implemented 2- Higher than average screen resolution is already implemented, it's just a matter of adding more pixels 3- Faster wireless streaming speed is already available Now if Apple figures a way to exploit the flash storage and use it like RAM when needed the multi-tasking will be kind of 'unlimited' or any other fancy adjective hyperbole used on the keynote stage.I'm not sure if my opinion could be met with understanding but after seeing few things with my own eyes I prefer to be bit more grateful with what i have and less lusting over the new stuff because if we are honest, most of the times its the "WANT" inside us that buy things rather than the "NEED" part. It's quite nice without being too bulkly, and the added weight is not too bad given that the 5S feels quite a bit lighter than the 4S.While I'm more than happy with those numbers (my 4s battery was shot and giving me 2-3 hours max just sitting on the table) I have to be honest, last charge it showed similar numbers so I left the house with 30% thinking it would be more than enough to last me while I went out for a bit and wouldn't need to charge it til I got home...phone died within 3 hours.I'm thinking it's not so bad being a bit of an underdog, being happy with your choice and just enjoying the experience.I have Beta 3 on my 4S in the UK and it's brilliant, it's very usable and HE has a bit of a attitude, I listen to music whilst on the train / walking to/from work and when I asked him the time this morning he said "The time sponsored is 08:15 am, beep" haha quite impressive.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceI do however feel that the 6 is a bit unwieldy compared to the 5, but the trade off is worth it for me.Thank God this is only your opinion, I , and millions feel the total opposite and absolutely love and adore the new iPhone design, the Note 4 design is more cumbersome, it is a thicker phone, it is wider, it is heavier, and doesnt have tapered edges, it feels much more cumbersome in the hand, coming from a OnePlus One, the 6 Plus is noticeably better in performance, espcially when it comes to frame rate in games, it is much better and offers quite a bit better GPU performance then the OnePlus One's Adreno 330 GPU... Yup, conpared some low light shots with my 6 Plus vs 5S on my IPS monitor, and it is a dramatic difference, stop sipping the Android koolaidI too have ever so slightly backlight bleeding at same exact spot on my Plus, it isnt really too bad at all, on black screens it prettt much looks uniform, but there is a little bit that I do see....wonder if overtime as the backlight gets used if itll even out or slightly dim there, kind of bothers me, but I think my case is lighter then yours, not gonna try and go replace it though because the next one could be worse or have other issues (my Plus is flawless in every single other way)Software wise there's not much of a difference either besides another row of icons which is a bit disappointing Oh and the camera on the 6 is worse... Too much white and loss of colors indoorsThis seems a bit shady, I would see the point with other phones with this kind of code, but with the iPhones, Apple maintains the imei white list.Could be the driver had a bad day and just plumb forgot; could be the driver is a bit inept.I will say putting together that list really served nicely as a check on my expectations, and has greatly quelled my desire to repeatedly check the 877 number So, I'm glad I did it, but seeing that AT&T hasn't gotten past the first hour and a half of the first day of pre-orders for my model is a bit depressing.I am a bit baffled by that and frustrated. This "loophole" is dishonest, a little bit pathetic and just outright despicable.I'm just a wee bit shy of 5'4" and I have smaller hands than my 13yo daughter who is shorter than me.I was a bit frustrated so maybe the title of the thread could have been better but its truly amazing to me how most people on this forum get so ******** over mentioning a competitor device.I was also a bit annoyed at how quickly Apple drop update support for previous models (little did I realise how much worse the situation can be with non-Nexus devices on Android).I've never, never seen a bad photo on any of my older iPhones, my wife's 6 and my 6+ are also doing great, but ALL of them produce extremely bad pictures even if you zoom in just a tiny bit.The screen feels nice but the light thin 6061 non-tempered aluminum body feels hollow and a bit cheap. The 6 I tried in store is a wee bit too small for me and the 6 Plus I got is a wee bit too big to be carrying around easily.5 looked worse than 4 and 6 looks a bit worse than 5.I bet you could whip together some interviews with line mules and their handlers (follow the mules after sale for a bit) and then some disappointed non-mules (both after being disappointed in line and people who in general can't find the phone they want).Sounds to me that it was less of "best buy is being evil" and more "the manager that you were dealing was being a bit of dick" As a person who works in best buy mobile, I can tell that that is 100% false.Truthfully, I'm actually a wee bit sad.+ is an appealing device, however I personally feel it looks a bit obnoxious when up against my head on a call.I have the 6 and I'm a bit disappointed with the battery life... Everything else is awesome but battery life needs improvementAnyway, I was a bit miffed about the design of the new iPhone, the fact it retained such large bezels, the ugly bands on the back (which aren't nearly as bad in person thankfully), but I wasn't miffed enough to mention that on its own.Seems strange -- imagine the other side of the coin where they don't have the one you picked out during the order because someone else switched out their ordered one for your color -- seems a bit unfair esp considering the lack of stock. Its frustrating and getting me a bit worried. The plus looks great but after owning a note 3 and oneplus one for awhile, I found the size of them to be a bit awkward. They have bad customer service, expensive tariffs and are just a bit awful. It's a bit like saying the iPhone is no longer a fashionable accessory because it's not 2007 any more, regardless of the fact it's still popular amongst us mere mortals.Chances are that it'll be in a worse state than the 4S when I get my upgrade, just cus the apple leather case is crap and aluminium is waayyy too soft and easily deforms :L Plus I'm a bit clumsyThis person has gone through a really bad identity theft scenario and I feel like this person is a bit paranoid. The Moto X is has great reviews but I'm a bit turned off by its midlevel specs, plus I've heard the camera isn't that great.Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Moto X is a little bit pricey for what it offers (it's no more the latest and greatest and sports a mediocre camera) ...I asked Siri to open safari a few days ago and it asked me if u want to search the web for something inappropriate even though I just said "Siri, can you please open Safari" I was a bit offended by that...Siri is really annoying and never understandsSo I was a bit hesitant to try that one at home, but it's been great.I agree, its a bit strange that Apple's launching in International Markets when there is overwhelming demand in the US, not being fulfilled, on time.So we went over to there knocked on the door, the kid was about 22 years old, and i asked him where he got the phone, he seemed a bit nervous when we were there, but my cousin told me he had never committed a crime or got in trouble, so i felt as if he was just a little scared. The area on the back where the makes contact with the case makes a strange oily-looking mark which is ugly as hell, the case fits the phone a bit too tightly for my tastes (making it difficult to remove), and the edges are a bit sticky (in that it would be difficult to remove from my pocket).I have an extremely shoddy internet connection right now (just moved and mine isn't setup yet), so when I remembered that iTunes had to connect to the internet for the restore, I was a bit worried.Indeed, as sad and pathetic as it may be I'm in the midst of trying to line up vacation time and it's delaying things a bit.Even though all this bad press about reception on the iPhone 4 is making me a bit nervous about buying one, my wallet will be open once they release those phones here in Canada (unlocked/no contract of course!I'm not sure what kind of case I'll get-probably an invisishield for the front/back and possibly a bumper-although I hate cases on phones I'm a bit paranoid with all the broken glass photos popping up.
applications
The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Creative applications (motion or still editing, music making and artistry, DJs and musicians...even productivity with iWork and 'fun' with the free iLife suite, as well as Microsoft's Offoce suite) and aggregation with your Mac, iPad and other iOS devices is the compelling & reasonable argument to make the change. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; (b) using the Service or Device to engage in unlawful activity, or in conduct that adversely affects our customers, employees, business, or any other person(s), or that interferes with our operations, network, reputation, or ability to provide quality service, including but not limited to the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or "denial of service" attacks; (c) using the Service as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (d) tampering with or modifying your T-Mobile Device; (e) "spamming" or engaging in other abusive or unsolicited communications, or any other mass, automated voice or data communication for commercial or marketing purposes; (f) reselling T-Mobile Devices for profit, or tampering with, reprogramming or altering T-Mobile Devices for the purpose of reselling the T-Mobile Device; (g) using the Service in connection with server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients, "bots" or similar routines that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality; (h) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, T-Mobile's or another entity's network or systems; (i) running software or other devices that maintain continuously active Internet connections when a computer's connection would otherwise be idle, or "keep alive" functions (e.g.Lol... that would mean they need to remove every game that uses the accelerometer..... Realistically, I would think they can install some kind of OS bootup code and put some kind of global calibration override to tell the OS to pass along -4 (or whatever the offset is) as 0 to all the applications that calls for the accelerometer/gyroscope function. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyiOS is indeed very aggressive with suspending inactive applications (provided you don't have them refreshing in the background), but the other aspect that allows the 6 and 6 Plus to do well in real-world battery tests is the insane power efficiency of the 20nm A8.Something my note 3 never achieved, most likely due to the insane amount of 3rd party applications required just to dumb down samsungs clunky and poor written software. Also I always was lead to believe this is safer from malicious website as they cant run applications in the background/start unwanted downloads. It sounds so nice to the uninformed, but the truth is that the overwhelming majority of applications are single-threaded and will never make use of all 4 cores.
developers
Introducing a new resolution without some kind of sophisticated resolution independence means developers have to make new graphics and other resources.Believe me, your app developers want nothing more than to make awesome apps taking advantage of all the latest awesome hardware and software.Eventually, the app developers will optimize them to fit natively on the new screens, at which point the font will be nice and crispy once again.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.Don't freak out though, the downscaling looks amazing, it is easily the best mobile screen I've ever seen (won't be perfect until developers update their apps for the 6 Plus and iOS 8 though).Well this is the first thing that came to my mind I am a developer and I know there are many creative developers out there who could do great things with NFC on iPhoneIt'd be a really nice thought if developers *could* release pixel perfect apps, though...I am confident a software fix will come in the long run but my feeling is at worst case scenario apple will ask/make it mandatory for app developers (apps which require gyro/accelerometers) to include re-calibration tools at the setup of the apps.windows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futureOn Apple apps it looks great but developers need to hurry up and update their ****, because it's their apps are hideous zoomed in
crap
Idk I couldn't think of a better one, but I never said it was a great thread I just said its a thread to leave the crap out of lol They're both great. It's true your first iPhone is the greatest one you owned (well at least for me) because my previous phone was well crap to be honest. The beauty of a nice car is too nice to hide with crap all over it, so people don't, even if it'd "protect" it.And you know you ain't going to crap in return like on (Windows Phone or Android) 3. iOS/ICloud/Intergration - Simple , elegant (dock bar blur is annoying, but I can overlook it) customisable to what you want it to be.the original iPhone sold for $500, $600 what are you guys getting so worked up about at this point many of these auctions aren't even breaking even lol lock this thread, put the phone away for 20 years and see if it's worth anything btw at least it's a first gen, those are the only version collectors are ever worried about ( no one in history is going to give a crap about a 3rd gen iPod shuffle lol)its pretty damn ironic, how you say "i have unlimited data" and then you say "you guys think you need storage, that means everybody does" i have an unlimited plan that was grandfathered, to get an unlimited plan in the US without signing up for a crap carrier (sprint) is nonexistent.Cause i just need to get drunk and take home some really ugly girl to take my mind of this crap...lol..You see how FUD gets spread and crap just gets worse and worse.I couldn't care less what phones people have/like/want, but I am fed up of the many posters here desperate for validation, telling people that they'll , along with " when they haven't even touched one, and my personal favourite: I don't care that you think you've found the perfect phone, but don't presume that any other phone is unsuitable/rubbish/a crap choice, just because you like the one you've got in your hand. This goes to about 50% of all the crap ive read on here the last few days.....pretty pathetic grown adults come in here to try to make other people feel crappy about a dumb phone purchase decision.Chances are that it'll be in a worse state than the 4S when I get my upgrade, just cus the apple leather case is crap and aluminium is waayyy too soft and easily deforms :L Plus I'm a bit clumsyThe unhappy fanboys will always say its either crap or not great enough.
features
Lots of great features + great WiFi.It would be worth it if Apple optimized iOS 8 and made it fluid and gave it more intuitive features for a larger device. It's a stunning phone and thoroughly nice to use with a couple of additional features the standard 6 doesn't have, however it's the size that is the real consideration for people I think. The Jawbone UP24 is amazing, and a great tracker of sleep, activity, diet..... One of my favourite features is the sleep tracking. One of my favorite features of the iPhone 5 series was how light it was, and the Plus kind of went far away from that. It's definitely an amazing phone and the features it offers are extremely attractive over the 4.7" iPhone 6.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.I'm just excited to get all the features and upgrades I mentioned, I dont have handoff or airdrop, but I'll be fine cause I have so many other awesome features.Apple is usually the first to popularize awesome features such as 7 hour battery life on the MacBook Air (and then to an amazing 12 hours), retina display on a laptop, Touch ID on the iPhone, etc.She may be perfectly happy with it and let's be honest, she's unlikely to take advantage of the features the 6 has that the 4/4S doesn't.Battery life is magnificent, signals are excellent, and it has unique features and a very nice 3-CPU platform that makes it far snappier than higher-specced competitors. Each subsequent model, while had great features, just made it more and more perfect. It is definitely not an iPhone but it does have enough features and games to keep a new smart phone owner happy for minimal cost.Sure it has stabilized video (which is freaking amazing if you haven't seen it) and a slightly larger screen but all of the great software features is 6 Plus only.I'm not happy about choosing between "way too big, but the Greatest Phone Ever" and "only a little too big but without all the features".I'm staying on the 5S for now until I see if the 6 has amazing features that I can't live without and I get sufficiently jealous. As many features as Apple had to show differentiating the 6 and 6+ while on stage, this is one area most users won't comprehend without a tutorial and that hopefully Apple isn't shying away from stating because of upsetting those that really give a damn about RAM capacity.Contract term doesn't bother me and the new features, while not compelling, are nevertheless appealing. Some extra features which can't take much 'processing power' at all, so I don't see why it is worth slaying speed (iPhone 4) and battery life (iPhone 5) for these quite worthless new features. This is the problem with spending your time reading Macrumors I guess, people can make mockups that look realistic but are unrealistically small/thin and have features that Apple won't or can't add yet, then when the real thing is released it looks bad by comparison.
stuff
An arbitrary decision, perhaps, but Apple always tries to advance technology and isn't shy about dropping the old stuff.I'm glad to see that you got your training in Internet Condescension, but I've actually noticed some weird stuff going on with this since iOS 8.I love the camera in the 6 Plus, it is truly amazing that we have a phone camera with optical image stabilization, just amazing, You only see this kinda stuff in bigger cameras, and not in phones, that's a + for the 6+ On the other hand, I've never owned an iPad, but I always wanted one since the first one. It's nice to see some women here on the forums to talk about tech-y stuff with My Verizon Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus will be delivered today and I am SO excited! So far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance.Amazingly enough the Plus does fit in the front pocket of my baggy mom jeans that I wear most of the time I'm in my ordinary routine...even with a bulky case on it will fit, though I'll have to change the way I bend down to pick stuff up.It's for people who enjoy 'beautiful' stuff, 'elegant' stuff.Too bad amex wil NOT cover liquid damage, broken screens.. only stuff like a broken home button, volume button, lcd going bad (not shattered)I have a friend on Facebook who feels the need to do this kind of thing with his new LG phone, only 2 months ago he was telling everyone how he was moving away from the iPhone blah blah blah, he was out of contract, the usual stuff people say.Great stuff, I'm glad it's unlocked !I'll still just be as happy, at the end of the day, stuff happens...the only thing you can do is get something (from ATT) to make it worth the wait. However, since I don't have a purse nor really baggy/cargo pants (I don't wear skinny jeans either, I wear stuff that looks good - and that's not anything really baggy and sloppy), I couldn't get over the size of the 6 Plus as I had worries about how it'd fit in my pocket - particularly when sitting down.i m happy enough... he was also pretty nice an hour later when i called in apple for the same reason for my friend, the other rep just told me that apple is not giving free stuff for no reasons... so yea, i ended up getting free cases from apple, and now i m perfectly fine with waiting my phones to arrive at oct. 1..TouchId in the 5s is something I could do with (from using my phone with OS maps on when walking), the iOS8 continuity stuff looks great - I personally find it handy now to tap away iMessages on my mac, and things like air dropping between the two will make it better still.I think this stuff is certainly "worth a damn" and did not cause any crippling lag in my circles. It is still being a bit annoying though and not working every time like it use to (it works most of the time now compared to before when it almost never worked) so I'm still thinking about running into the Apple store if it continues in the next day or two (and I'm really excited to go for first time and check out the displays and all the stuff they sell there). Now the tech stuff aside, there are equally amazing looking and functioning apps on play store as well, and any gap that exists can be leveraged by a smart developer if one wants.People are reading WAY to into this, it was an incident that happened to a phone, and I just shared my experience because I was lucky enough to have been able to catch it and just so happened to post on a forum that talks about this kind of stuff. And, like you say, a good camera app fills in some of the gap -- my favorite is ProCamera because it has lots of good stuff for Video, too (like recording in 720p for less insane file sizes). With Apple all the time innovating back and forth like Steve with his magical special innovating tool like with special wrenches and bigger screen making things and the major predictable censoring camera stuff like never before lately to innovate with big stuff and not lazy anymore to innovate with big imagination muscles and stuff you betcha innovating more than GalaxyS5 can innovate by Tim Cook to innovate the innovating for sure.I'm not sure if my opinion could be met with understanding but after seeing few things with my own eyes I prefer to be bit more grateful with what i have and less lusting over the new stuff because if we are honest, most of the times its the "WANT" inside us that buy things rather than the "NEED" part.A ton of people buy stuff because it is "cool" My kids are a perfect example, I have some awesome Audiotechnica headphones and they would never want them but want Beats because they are "cool"I'm glad that people know some of this stuff on here, it shows how this forum, although is mostly just for fun, can also be an awesome source for interesting and helpful information like thiswindows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futureThere are some really awesome, well-informed reps... and then some who seem to just make stuff up, lol.The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyNot that happy with our police but glad they got your stuff back and no one was hurt.Sorry I need to spell stuff out so clearly for you but: Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt."I personally think it sucks because it's become pretty unpleasant to converse about Apple stuff online as you are met with persistent and often brutal negativity.Just Apple's miscalculation that people would be so petty, jealous (of Apple's and iPhone's success) and stupid that they would need to over-engineer their stuff.Got an email from AT&T though reviewing my plan and telling me stuff for my account, but who knows....happy for everyone in the group in shipping mode, feel bad for me, hahaI had 2.3 gingerbread android phone for 18 months and while android itself was fun to use the weak hardware and lack of regular updates let the experience down considerably. So much stuff could be done even without having to root your phone. Then I switched to Lumia 520 and it was a breath of fresh air the simple yet elegant ui is great windows phone 8 is a cool ecosystem.Just this week I bought iPhone 3GS with ios 6 which is a little inferior to iphone 6 i would guess and I like the OS it's smooth and fluid and the phone is also well built although camera quality is not so good but everything else is good.So I like all 3 platforms equally well.I'm used to pre-orders where the production release is 6 months after the product annoucement, and the order window is small so they can build to what the preorder was... Im not saying that necessarily is desirable, but it really would help lessen some of the madness that is this "omg its next week" and the logistics that are involved and the insane it sells out in 1 minute stuff... received both my confirmation of processing and an email for the other reservation from when ATT couldnt verify...not all of us can own a nice fancy stuff but we sure as hell can afford getting the new iphone plus!I have come to the conclusion that the universe does not want me to own an iPhone; probably bad karma from all the bad stuff I have said about Apple in the past.

ipod touch
I'm not worried about the protruding camera (I've had an iPod Touch for ages and the camera isn't affected at all, nor is it very noticeable) but those antenna lines look terrible and there's still way too much bezel.I been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsYa, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

ois also works great for video I've seen tests where the ois 6 plus on video was superior to the 6 ois has a magnetic ring and this magnetic ring is what keeps the lens from moving from what i have read the magnetic protruding ring does not care if you are recording video, taking still pictures, or you are in low light. You know every modern smart phone camera can take beautiful pictures. They can even post pictures after they sit on their phone and claim under the oath of the internet that it was always in their front pocket, in a case, and that they wear baggy microfiber pants because they are so terrified of bending their precious phone. The one thing that has me amazed, I use to have to take a few pictures to get one in focus the way I want, the new 6+ with the stabilization almost always gives me great focus!Feels great, battery can go for 2 days, takes great pictures, and the screen is awesome. The battery life has been great, the low light pictures are very impressive. The pictures on this one are awesome and colors are vibrant.Beautiful screen and great pictures. Also the resolution of the screen is gorgeous, looking at pictures and videos in that big ass screen is delicious.Looking forward to fancy pictures, ill be taking a picture of the box once it comes, just because the boxes always look so fancy. Now I know some people like their phones big - the 6 is great for watching videos, pictures and displaying plenty of text, and for those people, this phone is perfect! The screen is gorgeous, the pictures are gorgeous, and the phone itself is so well designed.Yet people that ordered the same phone hours after I did are happy texting and taking awesome pictures.- Both Phones are as fast if not a BIT faster than the 5S 6: - The perfect portable size for all hand sizes - Performance is 5-10 percent better than Plus - Easier to Read, A bit better to type than 5/5S 6 Plus: - Perfect size for bigger hands - Better for pictures and movies than 6 - Camera gives you 3 extra stops in low light taking portraits compared to 6 - Performance is 5-10 percent less than 6 - Easier to Read, Easier to TypeA lot of people thought the glass panels on the back of leaked iPhone 5 pictures was really ugly, but most people now think the iPhone 5/5S looks great. The g2 takes amazing pictures in the right situation, however, the shutter speed is too slow to capture my daughter moving around which is the main use for my phone. It's actually been kind of nice not worrying about how many pictures I have saved, taking tons of videos, and putting my entire music collection on the phone.Well I am glad Im not the only one who feels the pictures look weird.I've never, never seen a bad photo on any of my older iPhones, my wife's 6 and my 6+ are also doing great, but ALL of them produce extremely bad pictures even if you zoom in just a tiny bit.I realize I didn't start using my phone until the battery was already around 70%, and that I was more-or-less using the phone non-stop for this period of time, but this kind of battery life still seems abysmal, especially for simple tasks like web browsing, streaming music with the screen turned off, taking a few pictures, etc.THe gold actually didnt look as bad as I thought it did in pictures but I am still glad I got a silver one...ohh and only 2 people there getting phonesIt was a nice phone but it didn't take great pictures and it had started to get laggy and glitchy at times. My pano pictures are shocking, they are bent in the middle, completely unacceptable as you can see below.I actually had my iPhone 5 replaced today which had the same issue but it was replaced because it was getting noticeably worse service and there was a lot of dust in the camera lens which was throwing off pictures and also the phone was dropping service but anyway, my battery drain is gone, plus especially on "4G" not LTE, its not draining even close to as bad as before even with only 1-3 dots of service
