and backup to external drives, my favorite being the WD "My Passport" Ultra 2tb (now on Amazon for $109) Favorite file syncing software is GoodSync I do file syncs vs backup to one big backup file to reduce risk in some proprietary backup format. There are mounds more settings in iOS (which can be overwhelming at first) but you get more control over what you want to control such as fine grained notification control, permissions management and a smart backup solution. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; (b) using the Service or Device to engage in unlawful activity, or in conduct that adversely affects our customers, employees, business, or any other person(s), or that interferes with our operations, network, reputation, or ability to provide quality service, including but not limited to the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or "denial of service" attacks; (c) using the Service as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (d) tampering with or modifying your T-Mobile Device; (e) "spamming" or engaging in other abusive or unsolicited communications, or any other mass, automated voice or data communication for commercial or marketing purposes; (f) reselling T-Mobile Devices for profit, or tampering with, reprogramming or altering T-Mobile Devices for the purpose of reselling the T-Mobile Device; (g) using the Service in connection with server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients, "bots" or similar routines that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality; (h) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, T-Mobile's or another entity's network or systems; (i) running software or other devices that maintain continuously active Internet connections when a computer's connection would otherwise be idle, or "keep alive" functions (e.g.Worst case scenario, you find the backup problematic, you erase all content and settings and setup phone as new.

If moving a PDF or movie MP4 via iTunes vexes me, I definitely wouldn't be confident enough to do the root.Much better camera, better apps, seamless integration with my iPad Mini, and of course, seamless iTunes integration.I've purchased iPhones for as long as they've been out there, sung the praises of Apple to the mountaintops, and slowly filled my home with Macbook, iMac, multiple iPads and iPods, not to mention spent $1000s in music in iTunes...and there's the rub, it's because I've been such a loyal customer, accustomed to wonderful and rapid service, that this botched rollout has raised my ire, this is not what I'm accustomed to with Apple, and galling is a great description of my feelings at present.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBiTunes radio kind of sucks to be honest.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. All of the guides I'm finding on the web are assuming my iTunes content is stored in the default location (it isn't) or involve a bunch of weird steps involving adding fake calendar events or messing around with plist files. This: It would also be my LAST iDevice and also the worst digital audio player I've ever come across; poor sound, forced use of iTunes, limited to EQ presets (no 5 band EQ) and worst of all it had an absolutely MISERABLE battery.I have an extremely shoddy internet connection right now (just moved and mine isn't setup yet), so when I remembered that iTunes had to connect to the internet for the restore, I was a bit worried.

Like TVs they tend to set the screens to the vibrant mode to catch your attention in the store as we humans tend to like bright bold colours in those situations. In areas I had GREAT LTE signal strength with my 5S.... on my 6 Plus is more on 4G... toggle airplane mode on/off..... goes back to fast amazing LTE, 3-5 mins later back to 4G... without even moving...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)Horses were perfect too as a mode of transportation for years, doesn't mean that when something newer that was better and actually had enough support and desirability wouldn't then be perfect instead.(The second biggest factor is that annoying, pointless, and confusing outgoing text sound iphone makes that can't be turned off in non-vibrate mode.It is the dishonest and unethical "people" (i use that word loosely) who violated the TOS by using it in tether mode.Perhaps leaving the phone on "demo" mode all day long "fixes" the display c. We all just have the worst luck and have in fact received "defective" displays 2.Got an email from AT&T though reviewing my plan and telling me stuff for my account, but who knows....happy for everyone in the group in shipping mode, feel bad for me, hahaA Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone need to be much smaller, basically, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen) It's ugly how much space/real estate is wasted on the current design of the front of the iPhone Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, atleast while connected to Wifi N iChat Support Flash Support (I want to access hulu from my iphone damn it!)

Once fully restored, backed up on iCloud and second full charge to 100%, the current status since last full charge is: Usage: 3 hours 54 mins (approx 4 hours) Standby: 17 hours 41 mins Battery remaining: 50%.I might not have been so eager to switch had Google not gotten rid of their EAS option, but since they did I didn't have much heartburn about moving my services to iCloud, especially after I bought a MacBook.

Got to say that I have been using Apple products since 1984 and have not gotten bad product yet, I have had a LOT of Apple products, just about every computer every iPhone every Apple TV, I have been luckyI just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes.Apple is amazing for creating a sophisticated computing device that's so simple even an 80 year old who has never used a computer can pick it up and be comfortable with it in no time. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; (b) using the Service or Device to engage in unlawful activity, or in conduct that adversely affects our customers, employees, business, or any other person(s), or that interferes with our operations, network, reputation, or ability to provide quality service, including but not limited to the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or "denial of service" attacks; (c) using the Service as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (d) tampering with or modifying your T-Mobile Device; (e) "spamming" or engaging in other abusive or unsolicited communications, or any other mass, automated voice or data communication for commercial or marketing purposes; (f) reselling T-Mobile Devices for profit, or tampering with, reprogramming or altering T-Mobile Devices for the purpose of reselling the T-Mobile Device; (g) using the Service in connection with server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients, "bots" or similar routines that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality; (h) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, T-Mobile's or another entity's network or systems; (i) running software or other devices that maintain continuously active Internet connections when a computer's connection would otherwise be idle, or "keep alive" functions (e.g.If it weren't for that the $40 chinese job from Australia doesn't have the kind of computer behind it to pull of the kind of tricks this phone is going to.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...LOL the OP is angry with a computer program who is too sarcastic. But like the Best Buy method and other weird workarounds that have been working for 2+ years, they don't care or it's not worth their time to fix whatever computer code is allowing a few people to renew their unlimited data plans or add a line or 2 to their account.as for not trying hard enough - I got up at midnight and tried for 1.5 hours on my computer, iPad and iPhone- trying and trying - refreshing and refreshing - don't see how I could have done more - you either get through or you don't - pretty simple.Changing IPs is pretty easy to do When I log into my account, I DID see a few that said invalid (when I click on invalid it tells me why... "same computer").When i take a photo with the iphone it looks great on the screen but once i imported to a computer it does not look as great. After a while trying to understand why my fullchargecapacity was dropping like crazy(sort of 50mAh per charge), a noticed something: Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I guess this is THE THING that is giving to the users a variety of different fullchargecapacities, my example: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1243 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I let my iphone plugged in to my computer, and after a while i opened the ibackupbot again, but this time something showed up differently: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1304 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false So, I guess my advice is, if you want the app to accurately measure your fullchargecapacity, you have to wait till the batteryischarging:false and fullycharged:true.

error
if i switch to some other device, it might save me money, but i would have to go through all the trial & error to find the perfect apps that i need and sometimes the accumulation of all the knowledge about my preferences is worth more than a few hundred dollars. Not a bad outcome; at least you didn't destroy it on my advice I find it strange that there's no proven troubleshoot/fix information out there for iPhone error codes, just lots of vague, half-baked theories which work for some but not for others. The rep was extremely friendly and said that it had already been waived and that the credit will show on the next billing cycle ... That's weird, I didn't even contact them before that to get it waived, I'm still not sure if it's an error or if it's going to show up next month but if it does I'll probably just contact them and tell them it was supposed to be waived.Other phones don't bend in your pocket even when you are moving so no it isn't user error, it is either a design flaw or s bad batch of iPhones that came from one of the factories.I seriously think Apple just posts fake stock for bots to try and buy like someone else said.. Because I was waiting for that and I even checked the stock on another device on apple's website a second before I pressed buy and it said available and then after I tried and got the error it immediately switched to unavailable... Havent had any apps "reload on me" while using them and in app performance is extremely superb and great, playing Vainglory/asphalt 8 on the 6 Plus looks absolutely stunning and runs flawless tooThe leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but it feels a bit like a ploy for you to lose track of time while browsing the store or possibly fit more (paid) apps on the page.I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingBut think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.they are on pace for 6 hours of usage which is not bad with so much Angry Birds, most people with 8 hours of usage do not have a game in their top 5 appsThe 2 of 500+ iOS apps I haven't been able to find Android equivalents of is: - Awesome Note - a brilliant iOS app that makes Evernote or Google Drive look great - Period Planner - a fertility planner iOS app.Much better camera, better apps, seamless integration with my iPad Mini, and of course, seamless iTunes integration.SO we get good, great, fair, and finally JUNK apps that put junk on our computers / SMART PHONES (mini computers). The display is amazing and will be great once Apps are updated for it.Believe me, your app developers want nothing more than to make awesome apps taking advantage of all the latest awesome hardware and software. But for apps that don't, like magazines and journals, the problem is, unlike the iPad, which is more "square" and the pages of magazines fit the whole iPad screen, the narrower iPhone 6/6 Plus doesn't fill the whole screen to fit the page on most magazines and such.I've got tons of great music (sequenced playlists - streaming is not the end all for music lovers), movies, pod-casts, loads of great apps, photos and videos on mine (128GB) and still have 52GB free.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.Say I'm refreshing Facebook, it just kind of sits there a while, other apps as well.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBDon't freak out though, the downscaling looks amazing, it is easily the best mobile screen I've ever seen (won't be perfect until developers update their apps for the 6 Plus and iOS 8 though).Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,I'm sure that great iPhone apps and games have come out despite the fact the RAM is still kind of low.Something worth pointing out from The Verge's review is that some apps may require updating before they look nice or even work properly on the 6 Plus's higher resolution display.if i switch to some other device, it might save me money, but i would have to go through all the trial & error to find the perfect apps that i need and sometimes the accumulation of all the knowledge about my preferences is worth more than a few hundred dollars. Some example of apps that you lost all are: smart budget, Whatsapp and pvz I felt very happy when I did a fresh restore but keep the data with iTools. It'd be a really nice thought if developers *could* release pixel perfect apps, though...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)4.7 perfect for gym/working out perfect for jogging/running perfect for taking pics perfect for back pocket and ease of use to carry around for a man 5.5 perfect for movies perfect for editing pics/viewing perfect for music/dj apps perfect for games perfect for browsing websites and shop perfect for reading books i am so so so torn that i cant make up my mind.To me it kind of just seems like people on both sides like to puff out their chest and talk about how much greener the grass is on the their side, whereas I like to take a step back approach and know that whichever side I'm on I can find great apps for what I need to do.The apps are great, and when you have other Apple products it just makes sense to have an iPhone, they play great together! Now the tech stuff aside, there are equally amazing looking and functioning apps on play store as well, and any gap that exists can be leveraged by a smart developer if one wants.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case.Mine is pretty great, I'm a moderate user and never close apps I'm getting easily full day sometimes more.I am confident a software fix will come in the long run but my feeling is at worst case scenario apple will ask/make it mandatory for app developers (apps which require gyro/accelerometers) to include re-calibration tools at the setup of the apps.in the meantime I found a workable solution with callback services and dedicated apps. That's the down side... but since I can't pull the apps out once they are in, I'm kind of glad there is a way to get the apps out.2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:Page two: All the nice looking icons of the apps I use often / daily :P Page three: The other nice looking icons (the apps I din't use as often in folders) I only have Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade because I don't play games that oftenOnly in some apps mind you, like navigation apps you see much less on the iPhone and you get some weird banding display issues that make the map fairly ugly.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and tabs held in the background are far more than this paltry 1gb horribleness. So yeah, I'm still very unhappy with the 1GB of RAM and the fact that lots of apps still aren't optimised for the screen, but it's a very nice phone. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyIf after you have tried A. wipe and restore B. wipe and set up as a new iPhone C. LOADED very little apps (after you did B) for a few days to make sure one of your favorite apps is not causing the issue (due to it not being happy with the OS or the developer screwed up, they are human).I found myself not downloading apps because I was worried about running out of space, and also got tired of the white face.Yep ... the 6 is a lovely design .... but i have to say ... i have a silver 5 sat on my desk waiting for its new owner and its still a lovely feeling phone But the 6 is so thin ... kinda crazy but its a slippery bugger when its naked (i used a slip-case for protection but as it comes in use) Can't wait till apps are resized properly .... most of my daily-driver apps are still scaled but the ones updated look good.I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say! What's annoying is to carry both iPad and iPhone the same time and then later on during the day leaving iPad in the car when stopped for a diner at some place and realising damn I need the bigger screen when you start browsing net and apps while waiting for food.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Thse blown-up apps are ugly - and it's annoying and frustrating. The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.On Apple apps it looks great but developers need to hurry up and update their ****, because it's their apps are hideous zoomed inMost apps look terrible upsize and one hand use is awkward.I have a few apps like stratus that never updated to the 4' screen, lazy devs lol Hopefully they adjust faster with the new iPhone, the worst was with the retina display !My note 3 has been very problematic with apps crashing, bloatware, mysterious battery drain etc.And that same Nexus 4 had a worse camera, worse screen, worse performance (CPU and GPU), worse battery life, didn't have iMessage, didn't have apps as good as iOS, didn't have as good accessories and many more things...Seriously apps on Windows look tired, old, abandoned, boring much like Linux apps did 5-7 years ago when people were banging that drum.I've never owned a recent iPhone (the iPhone 4 was the last version that I owned) but in my experience all iPhones have been very laggy in opening apps, and especially bad at answering phone calls (many times the call ends before I can make the dumb "slide to answer" thingy actually work. The title bars looked nice in bold, but didn't like how it looked in apps.I use my wife's 5S, and the extra screen space seems superfluous to me (granted, in iOS 7 they made some apps worse on the 3.5" screen - like the calendar app - but they didn't have to do that). They will mostly likely do both, launch app and have it float in the middle of the screen with black bars surrounding and then a stretch to fill screen option like the iPad, honestly the stretch wouldn't look bad since when the iPad did it to the 3.5 inch iPhone apps it still looked ok, I doubt a .7inch increase would be horrible.Loved the iPhone 3G and I upgraded too the Samsung Galaxy S, it had pretty awesome specs but Android apps where not good at the time, and the OS although feature rich was ugly.So essentially nothing as drastic as all Google apps being bad like that and even worse than other apps that would provide similar services if one chooses to use them and allows for the relevant permissions. There are lots of AMAZING apps for Android, but it's a system where it's not uncommon for apps to only be really built for a small range of devices. But after having two 5s phones I can say the battery on this one, with more battery saving changes made (no background apps refreshing, screen brightness down, etc), is way worse.

Biggest pro of the S cycle: abundant support, both hardware wise and software wise.Same here, its an awesome phone and I think with some better software optimization it will be awesome for everyone.Yes, they might have the terminal to do so, but it still needs to be set up both hardware wise and software wise. The iPhone 6 is obviously no slouch, but I seriously think people have forgotten just how amazing the fit and finish was between the hardware and software back in the day.i dont think they have anywhere else to go design wise, anything new or truly groundbreaking will have to come thru the software design.and backup to external drives, my favorite being the WD "My Passport" Ultra 2tb (now on Amazon for $109) Favorite file syncing software is GoodSync I do file syncs vs backup to one big backup file to reduce risk in some proprietary backup format.I was never in to the whole customization scene, as I'm really more of a hardware guy then software guy so the iPhone was a perfect fit.Software wise, hardware wise and build quality wise.. That's why I ended up with the iPhone 6+.The fit and finish of the first iPhone with its aluminum/metal back and sexy looking operating system and software was and still is second to none.Believe me, your app developers want nothing more than to make awesome apps taking advantage of all the latest awesome hardware and software.Apple will increase the ram when the their software needs it and when it is worth it for them profit wise.Cliff Notes: Pros: Great battery life, awesome screen [reading], good camera Cons: Unusable with one-hand; (Apple) software is lacking.Throughput on my LAN isn't terrible though: PS Before some wise guy comments on the Win7 VM and my ' ' ecosystem--I have to have Windows for certain automotive software I use. When I see an iPhone consumer, I know I'm looking at someone with great taste, who demands the best products, and a person who appreciates the coupling of great hardware and software to deliver the most incredible experiences. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceSoftware wise there's not much of a difference either besides another row of icons which is a bit disappointing Oh and the camera on the 6 is worse... Too much white and loss of colors indoorsSure it has stabilized video (which is freaking amazing if you haven't seen it) and a slightly larger screen but all of the great software features is 6 Plus only.A software issue has no bearing on the issue if apple is unwilling or incapable of fixing it within the products lifespan.Something my note 3 never achieved, most likely due to the insane amount of 3rd party applications required just to dumb down samsungs clunky and poor written software.I'm simply not confident this can be fixed by software, not only am I not confident, I'm near certain at this point.Horrible build quality...the chrome bezel painting is wearing off, the battery cover scratches so damn easily and the screen gets ********s of fingerprints despite having an oleophobic coating... Now on the software side, things are even more ******... During my first 3 months of usage I had no problems with this phone, everything was fast and smooth.I know quite a few couples that have downgraded and are a lot happier for it: no longer having to deal with annoying texts, facebook requests, weird phone glitches due to overcomplicated software, much better battery life, much lower bills, etc. It's doubtful any drastic hardware changes will be made next year; it'd be a software year. The overwhelming software evidence confirms this is the real deal, or they somehow got a new iOS build on a fake phone, which is impossible. They're several iterations of Windows past 95/98/ME/XP and want to concentrate on moving forward and not having to continue legacy support of such, in relative terms, archaic software.I don't like it because is made like any other Samsung phone, with cheap plastic (faux leather with faux stitches, what a tawdry solution ...), bad aesthetics and a bloated software above the operative system.I wish HTC would concentrate on quality as well, HTC ONE is a beautiful phone but it needs work to become better...not hardware wise, but software wise...HTC too can create a ecosystem of its own that utilizes simple things like an iCloud competitor....or even start going with Ubuntu EDGE!I'm not saying there isn't flickering problem on some unit, on the contrary I'm sure there are defective units, I'm just saying it's not a problem for most of the iPhones .... Not completely sure, but I think refresh rate on a phone is not set by software.I would be scared to apply the infamous eagerly awaited software fix agreed much better to buy online and not have to deal with a so called genius. This phone is simply beautiful and not just hardware wise... but most importantly, it marries the software and hardware unlike ANY OTHER IPHONE ever... IOS 7 is simply created with iphone 5c in mind.If the sensor or the reading deteriorates over time, I can think of a few incidences where it could be doing that: 1) The chip is defective batch and gradually deteriorates over time 2) The software reading the chip is defective and it constantly tries to recalibrate using a poor balance.I either have a defective phone, or a strange software issue.Being "worried" about an unannounced software update to your mobile phone is, well, pathetic.
4s
After moving from a 4s who's battery life was decimated after moving to ios7, I must say that my iOS 7.1.2, 64 gig 5s has outstanding battery life in comparison. An iPhone 5s is a worthy upgrade for you, and the perfect size since you prefer the same width as your 4s.Replacement ok. IPhone 3GS - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4 white - perfect iPhone 4s - perfect iPhone 5- perfect iPhone 5s - perfect then lost on holiday, replacement, perfect iPhone 6 Plus - perfect iPad 2 3G - perfect iPad 3 3G - perfect until about 8 months old, 1 inch line of dead pixels.Glad I just bought a 4S, no scratches or bends here and it's the most beautiful phone ever.I tried a 2nd iPhone 4S and again the audio was very perfect, smooth, and awesome on Bluetooth phone calls.Motorola STARTAC Nokia 3210 Nokia 3310 Sony Ericsson T68i (with the detachable VGA camera that rendered 1 FPS lol) Nokia 7650 Nokia 6600 Nokia 7610 Motorola RAZR (so sexy) Nokia N80 iPhone 2G Blackberry Bold 9000 Blackberry Torch 9800 iPhone 4S Samsung Galaxy S4 iPhone 6+- It's thin - It's beautiful - Well Designed - Vibrant screen - Fast processor and fast wireless - Great camera (though noise reduction could be turned down) - Amazing App Collection - Runs much cooler than my 4S - Larger, more readable screenPerfect fit for my hand, great upgrade from the 4S and super fast.Perfect fit for my hand, great upgrade from the 4S and super fast.Gaming has always been great on my 5s, and i don't really see where they could make such a massive leap over it, like they did with the 4s over the 4.. they could up the resolution, sure.. but the quality right now still is great.I'm coming from a 4s so I love everything about it...it's sleek, the touch screen is nice and responsive, the touch id amazing..great phone..So we aren't trying to "fit" the 6+ into our existing workflow (like we did with the 4S->5 transition), we're supposed to adjust our workflow to fit the device (like we did when we first got an iPad, iPod or AppleTV).I think my 4S looks really nice so I'm gunna be an excited panda.I agree with iossox, also got burned on the 4 and since then have bought the 4s, not a bad phone, and now have the 5s which is awesome.I'd be perfectly happy staying with my 4S if the hardware wasn't slowly falling out of step, performance wise.I'd be perfectly happy staying with my 4S if the hardware wasn't slowly falling out of step, performance wise.Funny you mention the 4S, that is still my favorite iPhone design to date.I'm actually happy with the thickness of the iPhone 4S and with the the larger footprint of the iPhone 6 with the 4.7" screen, you could fit a sizeable battery into such a chassis.I just upgraded to the iPhone 5s and for my need it a great phone all though I had to take it back cause it had issues in the first three months the off and on thing, until then I had the 4s and it worked great.Case in point, when I went from a 3GS to a 4S, I was able to get a mophie case right away, because the same one that fit the 4 would also fit the 4S.You can have my 3.5" iPhone 4S when you pull it from my cold, dead hands; or when the performance is bad enough that I can't stand it and you offer me enough cash for it 3.5" is the perfect screen size in my opinion.I'm totally excited to see it, as excited as when the 4S was announced and so on People are always going to reply, this is Macrumours, the biggest and nicest apple community. To answer OP: 5S is a great device and a worthy upgrade from the 4S.I figure a 16GB 4S built in Feb of 2014 (chipmunk.nl) and on 7.04 was worth a couple of Franklin's... so I'll keep it for nostalgia's sake haha... Too bad it wasn't a 64GB, but at least it wasn't an 8.But it can't be a router issue because my sister's iPhone 4S gets great wifi speeds, and my mom's Note 3 gets really really great wifi speeds. The A7 in the 5s is very fast, it was nice moving from a 4s.iPhone 3GS had gone with 2 dead batteries and 4S was so flawless I dropped twice on the sidewalk with screen protector and cheap case no damage at all.To be honest, 4s is still good to use, but I'm just tired of its design and want to try something new.I switched from black to white since iPhone 4S and I'm very happy with my new silver iPhone 5S after being happy with my white iPhone 5.i had a iphone 4S and i this jump up too the iphone 5C it was worth it two me has the iphone 5C was a big upgrade too me overe the iphone 4S i was going too get the iphone 5S but i did not really need a iphone 5S am vary happy with my iphone 5CYour in the majority amongst other people who are happy with the current size or happy with the size of the 4s etc.I've got some pretty amazing shots with my 4S, and with the 5S easily outperforming the 4S I'm excited to see what I'll be able to do with it.The 4 was a nice hardware upgrade over the 3GS, and the 5 was a nice hardware upgrade over the 4S.iPhone 3G - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4S - perfect iPad 1st gen. - perfect iPad 2 - perfect iPad 3 - Multiple display issues, multiple returns, sold for iPad mini iPad mini - perfect iPhone 5 - 1st one damaged, second acceptable Now this.AT&T Family Share Plan 4 Smart Phones (iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, Samsung Galaxy S3) Unlimited phone/text Personal Hotspot also included 6 GB data (shared) $239/mo total (including 17% discount from work) Would cost ~$10 more per month to increase data to 10 GB (Data costs $30 more, but cost per phone goes down $5 ea) A nice feature is that are staggered, so we can upgrade a phone every 5 or 6 months.boy am I glad I kept my unlimited data with AT&T, since moving to the 5s from the 4s, my usage SEEMS to have gone from 400-500, to over 2GB a month.Wife has iPhone 4S 16GB White iPad 2 16GB Wifi Accessories:- 2 Apple Battery Chargers - Good deal and really practical Magic Trackpad for the Macbook Air Magic Mouse for the Macbook Air Apple Wireless Keyboard for the Macbook Air Apple Superdrive for the Macbook Air (rarely ever use it)It's quite nice without being too bulkly, and the added weight is not too bad given that the 5S feels quite a bit lighter than the 4S.While I'm more than happy with those numbers (my 4s battery was shot and giving me 2-3 hours max just sitting on the table) I have to be honest, last charge it showed similar numbers so I left the house with 30% thinking it would be more than enough to last me while I went out for a bit and wouldn't need to charge it til I got home...phone died within 3 hours.Great post mate and im still loving mine, had a few snide comments at work about having a yellow phone but then caught the main one looking at new iphones on the web lol Still pick this thing up and love it, have gone white with 4, 4S and 5 but agree the black front totally works with the vibrant colours, white would just not give the same look im also amazed at the number of U turns from 5S back to 5C, love it, keep any more pics coming as love seeing them and it keeps this great thread going!Hi everyone , I'm here to inform you all that I've solved this problem after battling for hours , I red a lot of post on various forums and tried , changed/removed security/encryption standards , changed DNS , Tried different channels , toggled genius in privacy ... etc but none worked I have a 5 year old netgear wifi router which worked just perfect with ipad , iPhone 4 & 4s but since I got i5 , I've faced serious wifi issues like , average browsing , ultra slow app store download speeds ... for a 10mb app it took more than 15 mins to complete , on 20 MBps broadband line .. After trying every solution out there I tried my friends Belkin and Netgear N series router , and everything worked perfect @ blazing speeds on both belkin & N series, found the difference almost instantly(on all my old devices as well) .I have Beta 3 on my 4S in the UK and it's brilliant, it's very usable and HE has a bit of a attitude, I listen to music whilst on the train / walking to/from work and when I asked him the time this morning he said "The time sponsored is 08:15 am, beep" haha quite impressive.I kept my 4s naked for the full 2 years I owned it, I upgraded to a 5s and was planning on keeping it naked until I dropped it on a tennis court and scratched the side, I immediately became paranoid and went out and bought the Apple leather case, Im very happy because believe it or not the case saved my phone after being ran over by a pickup truck! It's not going to feel like the home button on the 4S or 5 for that matter, but if it's clicking and feels cheap it might be defective.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).It's great when it works, but having it fail ~20% of the time just got so annoying that I switched back to the same old method that I used with my 4S.I'm a sad panda too (ugly cry face) I'm a 4s person...CycleCount: 917 DesignCapacity: 1430 FullChargeCapacity: 900 Status: Success BatteryCurrentCapacity: 35 BatteryIsCharging: true ExternalChargeCapable: true ExternalConnected: true FullyCharged: false GasGaugeCapability: true This is the iphone 4s i got from my brother, so far the battery life has been worse than i expected (never had an iphone before) and sometimes the charging is kinda ****ed (it starts charging at 30% even though it was at 1% before) or it says its at 1% when its actually at like 15%.I had pretty bad luck with both my iPhone 4 and 4S.... some people just have bad luck.I'm "upgrading" from the 4S and I gotta say that as weird as this may sound, I really like the thickness of it because - another weird thing here - I can feel its weight in my pocket (yes POCKET) and it reminds me where I put it!I have put my 4s in a Quadlock case to mount on my bike and I was not happy to see it scratched the metal trim so I'm not really keen on hard cases at the moment.I wasn't planning to upgrade my 4S until Apple drops iOS support, but I'm moving to a neighborhood with *terrible* reception.I've been considering switching over to T-mobile when I upgrade my phone (going from a 4S to a 5S), but I can't decide if it'll be worth the MUCH worse coverage for my area.I had black on the following models 2g 3g 3gs 4 Then on the 4s i switched to white...it definitely made something that was starting to feel stale a little more lifelike since the phone was getting stale itself.quite a few cycles on my 4S... - dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.My favorite thing on this is the glowing apple logo and the apple logo home button, the home button on this is probably capactative which would be great if apple introduced that.If there isn't an Apple logo on it people here will find it terrible, ugly, pointless, etc etc.The apple logo looks worse in the picture, id keep it next one could have a bad screen, and so on.That looks stunning The only thing I don't like is the home button put on the frame, thats so android like and I never liked it on my friends device but the rest looks great & I also like the light up Apple Logo but that would be replaced by the home button again, maybe the lil square lines of that button could light up when I get a notification, I would welcome it...otherwise it depresses me that we all have so many wonderful ideas but we all know that Apple will never implement them into the final product

Something about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )There is another thread on here with a guy who bought an aftermarket silver ring for his home button and his TouchID works perfect and it looks great for those interested...I love my Space Grey iPhone 6...sometimes I miss the Slate Black iPhone 5 color though, I'm sure they could have reformulated the paint to make it more scratch proof but that would've been harder...either way Space Grey looks great.I love the 5 series design, and I also love and appreciate the 6 design too, I love the sleek black look with the sides sloping off , it looks amazing IMO, With that being said I do wish their Space Gray model was a bit darker, now that would of looked awesome with the black front if the Space Gray is just a bit darkerBut think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...I was pretty sure I was sticking with my perfect all black 5....until I got a perfect space grey 6.I do think the space gray looks sleeker, but was afraid of scratches being more visible, and the silver looks too plain next to the bold colours of the other two choices. My wife's: Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Gold Production year: 2014 Production week: 36 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn) Mine: Nice Name: iPhone 6 (GSM/North America) Machine Model: iPhone7,2 Family name: A1549 Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 35 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 64GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn)Nice Name: iPhone 6 plus Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 plus Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 5.5 inch Screen resolution: 1920x1080 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 39 (October) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Factory: F2 (China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn) Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 37 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn)It gives the iPhone great grip and the black/grey case looks great with the space grey iPhone! This year different story Replaced two iPhone 6 Plus 128gb gold (Third one was perfect) (Both phones had dust or dead/stuck pixels) Replaced one iPhone 6 128gb space grey (Second one was perfect) (First one had dead pixels.Glad I got my Space Gray launch day from Apple IMO, the gold 6+ is hideous but the gold 6 is actually really nice. It's nice to see some women here on the forums to talk about tech-y stuff with My Verizon Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus will be delivered today and I am SO excited! It really looks great on the my space gray 6+ The 6+ is just awesome.Funny enough, I had a space grey 6 plus on launch day........kept it for 4 days then returned it, loved it but found it to cumbersome when outside......used a friends 6 for a day........ Decided to order the 6 plus again! Also the ip6/6 Plus and their design and performance and camera and screens are just fantasic and amazing as a whole in the package , extremely top notch specs (ARMv8/64 Bit processor that is top notch performer on the market right now, extremely good front and back cameras, best LCD screens in a smartphone ever(Thats up to you if you prefer OLED over LCD or vice versa) amazing body design in my opinion, really good battery life) I love and adore the look of the new screens how they like overlap on the edges and it morphs into the edges for a nice smooth glide off feeling, (I have a Space gray iPhone 6 and I love so much how the black screen like morphs over the edges and consumes the phones front ) i think it looks much better then any phone out right nowBoth are very nice colours (both much nicer than gold in my opinion), though the space grey does appear more seamless. So glad the space gray is color matched... Looks sexy with the gray bands vs. black bands yuck. That said, I think the space gray looks great too, so either would be great.I'm glad I did it and I am so glad I held out for the Space Grey.Took my lunch hour to go pick it up and I am posting this with my brand new beautiful sexy iPhone 6 plus 64gb space gray!phone finally got here..and it is frikkin BEAUTIFUL....so glad i waiting out this torture..the phone is worth it...i got the 128 GB Space Gray...i was stuck in the 10/2-10/13 black hole for awhile too so to those of you who haven't received urs hang in there!I'm very confident the 6S plus (haha sounds funny) will be in a much better form factor and you better believe I'll jump to the extra screen space.May I take you up on your generous offer: 6+ 64GB Space Gray Verizon If possible, 128GB would be great, too 92584 Thank you!I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBVery happy with the 64GB 6 I got except Wish I got the 128GB due to lack of space for my photos hopefully iCloud Photo Library will fix this when it launches properly other wise very happy customer with the bigger screen better for web browsing and messagingNice Name: iPhone 6 plus Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 plus Generation: Screen size: 5.5 inch Screen resolution: 1920x1080 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 35 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 128GB Memory - The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the irony

I went into settings, safari (my phone browser), selected advanced, then website data, then remove all website data (at the bottom) and the discs went away, I don't think I lost any of my saved passwords or anything that I wanted to keep probably just cached pages to help sites load faster, but the discs annoyed me so I was happy they went away. Also the battery life on the 6 Plus is amazing, you need to adjust some settings for optimal battery life, these links will help...There are mounds more settings in iOS (which can be overwhelming at first) but you get more control over what you want to control such as fine grained notification control, permissions management and a smart backup solution.Going into accessibility settings and toggling Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast to on seemed to make it more tolerable performance wise.Definitely getting worse (but not terrible) battery life out of my 5 compared to my 4 under exactly the same settings and usage. In some ways it's nice, because otherwise I'd be kind of glued to my phone like some people are, and that's really disrespectful in group settings..but that's a totally separate discussion topic.yeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsWorst case scenario, you find the backup problematic, you erase all content and settings and setup phone as new.In every case excluding maybe a rare extremely god awful console port pc settings maxed out blow consoles out of the water, those kind of graphics are not applicable to consoles, they at aren't powerful enough, no amount of optimization will fix that.I'm seeing it and it is worse than terrible... iPhone 6 speedtest (after resetting network settings): 0.01 d/l 3.35 u/l AWFUL.
windows
However, T-Mobile becomes a much more compelling choice for customers who are happy with a cheaper Android or Windows phone (like $200-400 off-contract) that they plan to keep for years. The typical fan will just buy a case for it and say its the greatest phone even Smart apple fans will buy a different phone, androids or windows.and you want us to "Switch on that thing that sits between your ears" I had some of the earliest smart phones going back to windows phone's, ect.. and I never ever put a smart phone in my pocket most of the time, yes I do sometimes with dress pants, but never jeans, and I posted 2 links to 2 samsung phones that broke in pockets.Throughput on my LAN isn't terrible though: PS Before some wise guy comments on the Win7 VM and my ' ' ecosystem--I have to have Windows for certain automotive software I use.And you know you ain't going to crap in return like on (Windows Phone or Android) 3. iOS/ICloud/Intergration - Simple , elegant (dock bar blur is annoying, but I can overlook it) customisable to what you want it to be.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. You will need to open your iPhone 5s to be able to view the volume button contacts, and slide something (I used a tiny piece of paper ) inside the gap that makes your volume keys jiggle.... You will need a pentalobular screwdriver (the one that was required to open the iPhone 5) and a suction cup (the kind that you stick on windows and mirror)... just follow the couple of steps on iFixIt website: It worked for me... you must not be scared of opening your iPhone, and be careful enough not to break any connection wires under the screen (read the above iFixIt link for more info) Unfortunately, if it's the power button you want to fix, you wont be able to do it my way My power button jiggles a tiny bit, but it's hardly noticeable... when the iphone was opened I noticed there was no way to properly see the button and gain access to itwindows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futureWith microsoft bringing xbox live to windows phone 7 series would be nice if apple introduced some kind of universal gamer card system, could include most played music/tv/movies too perhapsI gave the iphone 5S to my son, but I could suffer with a Windows phone if worse comes to worse.I had 2.3 gingerbread android phone for 18 months and while android itself was fun to use the weak hardware and lack of regular updates let the experience down considerably. So much stuff could be done even without having to root your phone. Then I switched to Lumia 520 and it was a breath of fresh air the simple yet elegant ui is great windows phone 8 is a cool ecosystem.Just this week I bought iPhone 3GS with ios 6 which is a little inferior to iphone 6 i would guess and I like the OS it's smooth and fluid and the phone is also well built although camera quality is not so good but everything else is good.So I like all 3 platforms equally well. The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.Windows continues to get worse and worse.Shame on you for using Windows, and non Apple displays....horrible bad habits.Seriously apps on Windows look tired, old, abandoned, boring much like Linux apps did 5-7 years ago when people were banging that drum. They're several iterations of Windows past 95/98/ME/XP and want to concentrate on moving forward and not having to continue legacy support of such, in relative terms, archaic software. And inside a car, bad weather (lots of clouds), high buildings, tinted windows, being far away from the windscreen, possibly defective parts in the car producing electronic noise, can stop it from working.
3gs
As someone noted, I would definitely unlock the 3GS, it may be worth something one day, and it'd be nice for the buyer if it were unlocked.Replacement ok. IPhone 3GS - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4 white - perfect iPhone 4s - perfect iPhone 5- perfect iPhone 5s - perfect then lost on holiday, replacement, perfect iPhone 6 Plus - perfect iPad 2 3G - perfect iPad 3 3G - perfect until about 8 months old, 1 inch line of dead pixels.Case in point, when I went from a 3GS to a 4S, I was able to get a mophie case right away, because the same one that fit the 4 would also fit the 4S.iPhone 3GS had gone with 2 dead batteries and 4S was so flawless I dropped twice on the sidewalk with screen protector and cheap case no damage at all.The 4 was a nice hardware upgrade over the 3GS, and the 5 was a nice hardware upgrade over the 4S.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).I had 2.3 gingerbread android phone for 18 months and while android itself was fun to use the weak hardware and lack of regular updates let the experience down considerably. So much stuff could be done even without having to root your phone. Then I switched to Lumia 520 and it was a breath of fresh air the simple yet elegant ui is great windows phone 8 is a cool ecosystem.Just this week I bought iPhone 3GS with ios 6 which is a little inferior to iphone 6 i would guess and I like the OS it's smooth and fluid and the phone is also well built although camera quality is not so good but everything else is good.So I like all 3 platforms equally well.I had black on the following models 2g 3g 3gs 4 Then on the 4s i switched to white...it definitely made something that was starting to feel stale a little more lifelike since the phone was getting stale itself. Those of us who went from original iPhone to 3G or 3GS were surprised how cheap and plasticky it felt (combined with the lighter weight), along with the worse build quality. My phone is a 3G not the 3gS Ability to transfer data via bluetooth (admittedly, i don't use bluetooth that often but it would be nice to have the ability to do so) 5 items on the dock instead of 4 (i had my phone jailbroken for awhile -not anymore- and really loved that option) Ability to open .ICS events natively especially when I'm traveling and my phone is the only option for email checking (i do not have an exchange account or mobileme) Flash (yeah, i know, extremely unrealistic given Jobs' comments about Flash not terribly long ago) An earlier post mentioned a drop-down on the home screen for wi-fi options, i.e, the same function available on the Mac desktop.
update
Ill stay at least until Gingersnap gets hers from apple and she becomes happy again- Update: Tracking number updated and phone is shipping from Fort Worth, TX and its Next day air!I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI am happy to report impressive battery life since the update so it seems to be working well on my iPhone 6 iPhone 6 64GB (AT&T) // iPad Mini (Wifi) // 2013 MacBook Pro RetinaDid that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBBeautiful screen alone was worth the update.Pre-ordered 6+ 64GB SG @ 1.46am CDT on 9/12 Estimated delivery 10/2 - 10/13 My AT&T site reads 'pending shipment' Cancel button on premier site reappeared 3-4 days ago No sign of any shipment or tracking number Happy for others seeing some progress ... just wish I could see some kind of update!iOS7 was a nice update and made the my iPhone 5 feel like a new phone again and if nothing else the iPad Air I just purchased was nice due to it's speed and screen. The Nexus 5 for me has been great, it was my first 4G phone (London) and signal is great, battery was a bit meh but I wiped my phone and has since doubled, the camera is good enough, the 4.2.2 update fixed the slow focusing. The 6 runs the 64bit chip while he 5 dose not and with each iOS update you will see you 5 getting worse and worse. With the shoddy update that was/is iOS 8, your phone could get bricked/slowed down thanks to terrible coding.Disappointed, hope it will be a future update as it's handy, but definitely not enough for me to go and buy the plus.Got tired of the phone looking mismatched, and tired of having to reapply icons after every update.I was also a bit annoyed at how quickly Apple drop update support for previous models (little did I realise how much worse the situation can be with non-Nexus devices on Android).****^ I don't find your sarcasm amusing The end tester(s) @ Apple that gave the go ahead to release this update needs to be fired Sad....Steve Job has passed awayIt's the same thing every time we have one of these.... Everyone gets all spun up and Apple Logos appear in their eyes....We make ludicrous posts about how Apple is the greatest and we can't wait to stand in line at 3 am to purchase it.... And then the Keynote happens and we will come back and say what an awful update that was and how underwhelmed we are by the newest Apple offerings....Then we may buy it...We may preorder it but only because the battery life sucks on the 6 month old 5S we currently have....Worked great, but was made obsolete quite soon with that terrible iOS 4 update that basically killed the performance.Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power.Twice Also did a ##update# no luck Googled the issue, and every result was indicating a bad SIM - although, they were posts for 4, 4S and 5 (Around October 8 for the 5) which did not correlate to an update I would not really even consider the update being an issue if it weren't for a few of us with the same experience of updating, and then immediately having the issue Too weird Anyway, point of the post was to see if anyone else had this, which, some did - and as a heads up for others beating a dead horse now.Being "worried" about an unannounced software update to your mobile phone is, well, pathetic.

version
I would be happy if they made the new phone thicker to include a bigger battery and bigger Camera lens to improve low light photos I am very happy with the current 6 design and will probably get the plus version next timeI'm super happy at how fast video focuses too, I think the 6s is going to be the ultimate, the s version iPhones always seem to perfect the camera.Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird. That all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningTake Blizzard's Hearthstone, it works great on an iPad and while they are working on an iPhone version, I think that is going to be a much different experience because the cards will necessarily have to be shrunk a lot to fit the interface.I got to do a real "test drive" on it, and although it was super impressive & the screen was awesome...I had to face the truth that it just wasn't the device for me, given a choice of the smaller version.I was excited when I heard about the first iPad, but I didn't buy the first version and I'm very happy I waited.Sure, it would be nice if the 32 GB was the base version for the same price as the 16 GB one was....just as it would be nice to get more extra options in a car for the price of the based model with no options.Feel free to sound off which version you are getting (including size) as I'm curious what the average on the forum will be Apple kind of threw us a curve ball by bumping the 2nd tier to 64gb but still keeping the paltry 16gb as the base model.Google's Nexus 5 is a great little device with the best version of Android, but the battery life is atrocious.Tmobile won't launch lte till 2013 and even then it will probably only be in a select few cities so its not a bad idea to buy the verizon version Nice I traded my att iPhone 5 for the Verizon one just because I will probably never have tmobiles lte in my area and the Verizon version supports a lot more bands and one day I might go to Verizon they have lte in my areathe original iPhone sold for $500, $600 what are you guys getting so worked up about at this point many of these auctions aren't even breaking even lol lock this thread, put the phone away for 20 years and see if it's worth anything btw at least it's a first gen, those are the only version collectors are ever worried about ( no one in history is going to give a crap about a 3rd gen iPod shuffle lol)I joined recently as well I think my first comment was a thread saying 'The 5.5 Inch Version Is A Must', then everyone got angry with me and said how is it a must, but I'm pretty happy Apple did bring it out, obviously people like me put pressure on them to release it, and it probably was a little rushed but Oh Well.I wish the leather or original was able to fit the 6+ though...not too excited about the utility version. We thought we could rip off customers by selling a $600 cheap plastic version of our nice phones, but no one would buy them."think twice about sprint, their the worst carrier in the states, very unfriendly towards consumers, harsh unlock policies, terrible 3G speeds (below 500kbps) you'll be better off with a MVNO using at&t infrastructure like a gsm version of straight talkJust buy a cheap knockoff lightning cable from somewhere for cheap that looks exactly like the apple version.I've never owned a recent iPhone (the iPhone 4 was the last version that I owned) but in my experience all iPhones have been very laggy in opening apps, and especially bad at answering phone calls (many times the call ends before I can make the dumb "slide to answer" thingy actually work.Apple rely on releasing such a pitiful base spec that most people are forced to buy an enhanced version for an outrageous price hike.too bad Samsung ruined it with their ugly version of TouchWiz introduced with ICSUsually the "cheap"(last years) iPhone gets a 8GB version but this year with the iPhone 5C the cheap version gets 16GB standard.
