There is another thread on here with a guy who bought an aftermarket silver ring for his home button and his TouchID works perfect and it looks great for those interested...I love my Space Grey iPhone 6...sometimes I miss the Slate Black iPhone 5 color though, I'm sure they could have reformulated the paint to make it more scratch proof but that would've been harder...either way Space Grey looks great.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.The beautiful iconic and very distinguishing iPhone bezels including the home button with one of a kind innovative and flawless security feature makes the iPhone the iPhone, a stunning standout.LG made great use of the screen and smaller form by moving the power button in the back.Nice size, solid button feedback, Touch ID works perfect, excellent camera and solid battery life for my usage.Too bad amex wil NOT cover liquid damage, broken screens.. only stuff like a broken home button, volume button, lcd going bad (not shattered)never had gold before the black's always been default, but i went to the AS today and the gold with white looks awesome and in the brown leather case the little gold accent ring around the home button is fabulous.... p.s.Pre-ordered 6+ 64GB SG @ 1.46am CDT on 9/12 Estimated delivery 10/2 - 10/13 My AT&T site reads 'pending shipment' Cancel button on premier site reappeared 3-4 days ago No sign of any shipment or tracking number Happy for others seeing some progress ... just wish I could see some kind of update! Then there's the topper: "I've exchanged my iPhone 30 times because each one either had a dead pixel, was a gram lighter, had a screen too yellow/blue, the outer box had a dent in a corner, the shrink wrap has an imperfection, the moving lens elements rattle when I smack it against a hard surface, or the home button felt funny, and now Apple doesn't want to exchange it anymore.I had hoped they would reduce the Home button or put it on the side, and have a great screen with a great form factor. The best place to stick a notification light would actually be around the home button, some kind of circular pulsing light would look brilliant.I'd love to see like the post above some form of waterproofing so that I'm not afraid to use my iPhone in the rain also and I've sent this suggestion to apple, a small translucent ring around the home button that has a pulsating ring of light for missed calls, messages, email etc if not then a led somewhere for the same purpose, a smart wifi option so it switches off once you leave your home wifi and will come back on once your home or it can remember where other wifi locations are and switch back on once you get to that area.I'm on the phone in a quiet room, walking and moving around, bending to pick something up from the floor, turning my head left and right while moving, and i hear the button clicking against the bezel. You will need to open your iPhone 5s to be able to view the volume button contacts, and slide something (I used a tiny piece of paper ) inside the gap that makes your volume keys jiggle.... You will need a pentalobular screwdriver (the one that was required to open the iPhone 5) and a suction cup (the kind that you stick on windows and mirror)... just follow the couple of steps on iFixIt website: It worked for me... you must not be scared of opening your iPhone, and be careful enough not to break any connection wires under the screen (read the above iFixIt link for more info) Unfortunately, if it's the power button you want to fix, you wont be able to do it my way My power button jiggles a tiny bit, but it's hardly noticeable... when the iphone was opened I noticed there was no way to properly see the button and gain access to itMy home button feels very solid and no strange angles when depressed which I noticed all the phones in the apple store had this issue on launch month. It's funny, a friend of mine came over, and I tried his 5s, button action was perfect! It's a great shame as everything about it was perfect, screen was good, casing had ZERO damage and the power button was nice and firm. And the 5c fits right into an iPhone 5 case, the only thing is the volume button shape which throws off an otherwise perfect fit.I bought two iphone 5S silver one is perfect quiet nice and smooth yhe other is click like the button is hitting the ringIt's kind of funny with this water thing, I had a second gen iPod touch a few years ago and somehow I managed to render the sleep button useless from my sweat on an arm band after a run.My favorite thing on this is the glowing apple logo and the apple logo home button, the home button on this is probably capactative which would be great if apple introduced that.yeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 general in settingsI'm so sick of the iPhone 6 and iOS8 3rd party keyboards totally unreliable App crashes are among the worst its ever been on iOS Another phone with a home button that feels like its about to give in Restored iPhone again today (set it up as new when i 1st got the 6) but tried doing same today .... phone decides 2 hours later to start heating up drastically and chewing battery .... was depleting fast than i could charge it.It's not going to feel like the home button on the 4S or 5 for that matter, but if it's clicking and feels cheap it might be defective.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).You seem to believe that because Samsung have a capacitive, ugly, illuminated button, every phone's back button is bad.Stop being lazy and set the timer, your thumb moves maybe a total of 5 inches during the process, you can click the sleep button right after you see the timer pop up so she doesn't respond, or you could make an angry post on the internet and pretend like that will help. And while I was standing there, two people came in with bad speakers and one with a bad home button.I don't have any backlight bleeding, no dead pixels, perfect home button, good battery...a lot of which would be worse on a replacement phone. The back button seems so cumbersome and annoying. It was terrible idea and takes up ugly screen space on bottom might as well have a home button.I have realised that the glass around the home button is not as perfect a fit as my 5S.It's been sent in for repair/exhange a total of 5 times, between my ownership of it and my significant other owning it after me, for everything from batteries to a bad home button, to a bad sleep/wake button, to my cracking the screen once.I've received replacement flex cables with defective sleep button in the past, but I think it is possible for the volume buttons to be defective, as well. The button got worse and worse. And surprise, something like the incessant bitch-fest that the OP put up over a power button moving isn't normally covered.Let's say the home button is bad or battery is bad.I was having issues with the home button from day 1... My fault for not taking it in straight away, and of course Apple would have to take "on trust," but in this case, the home button issue (at worst) was made worse by the fall.Loose sleep wake and a very horrible cheap home button.Again, it feels like a cheap plastic toy with a defective button!I wouldn't say the home button loudness is annoying , it's annoying when I click the button and then hear 2 or 3 clicks like it's popping back into place. And we've had occasional issues with the 4 and 4S's but now that the 5's are being passed around its seems like there is always someone with a bad power button or lousy battery. That looks stunning The only thing I don't like is the home button put on the frame, thats so android like and I never liked it on my friends device but the rest looks great & I also like the light up Apple Logo but that would be replaced by the home button again, maybe the lil square lines of that button could light up when I get a notification, I would welcome it...otherwise it depresses me that we all have so many wonderful ideas but we all know that Apple will never implement them into the final productWhat make things worst, My iPhone 5 is in a return box for Apple because of a bad power button.

apps
Havent had any apps "reload on me" while using them and in app performance is extremely superb and great, playing Vainglory/asphalt 8 on the 6 Plus looks absolutely stunning and runs flawless tooThe leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but it feels a bit like a ploy for you to lose track of time while browsing the store or possibly fit more (paid) apps on the page.I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingBut think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.they are on pace for 6 hours of usage which is not bad with so much Angry Birds, most people with 8 hours of usage do not have a game in their top 5 appsThe 2 of 500+ iOS apps I haven't been able to find Android equivalents of is: - Awesome Note - a brilliant iOS app that makes Evernote or Google Drive look great - Period Planner - a fertility planner iOS app.Much better camera, better apps, seamless integration with my iPad Mini, and of course, seamless iTunes integration.SO we get good, great, fair, and finally JUNK apps that put junk on our computers / SMART PHONES (mini computers). The display is amazing and will be great once Apps are updated for it.Believe me, your app developers want nothing more than to make awesome apps taking advantage of all the latest awesome hardware and software. But for apps that don't, like magazines and journals, the problem is, unlike the iPad, which is more "square" and the pages of magazines fit the whole iPad screen, the narrower iPhone 6/6 Plus doesn't fill the whole screen to fit the page on most magazines and such.I've got tons of great music (sequenced playlists - streaming is not the end all for music lovers), movies, pod-casts, loads of great apps, photos and videos on mine (128GB) and still have 52GB free.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.Say I'm refreshing Facebook, it just kind of sits there a while, other apps as well.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBDon't freak out though, the downscaling looks amazing, it is easily the best mobile screen I've ever seen (won't be perfect until developers update their apps for the 6 Plus and iOS 8 though).Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,I'm sure that great iPhone apps and games have come out despite the fact the RAM is still kind of low.Something worth pointing out from The Verge's review is that some apps may require updating before they look nice or even work properly on the 6 Plus's higher resolution display.if i switch to some other device, it might save me money, but i would have to go through all the trial & error to find the perfect apps that i need and sometimes the accumulation of all the knowledge about my preferences is worth more than a few hundred dollars. Some example of apps that you lost all are: smart budget, Whatsapp and pvz I felt very happy when I did a fresh restore but keep the data with iTools. It'd be a really nice thought if developers *could* release pixel perfect apps, though...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)4.7 perfect for gym/working out perfect for jogging/running perfect for taking pics perfect for back pocket and ease of use to carry around for a man 5.5 perfect for movies perfect for editing pics/viewing perfect for music/dj apps perfect for games perfect for browsing websites and shop perfect for reading books i am so so so torn that i cant make up my mind.To me it kind of just seems like people on both sides like to puff out their chest and talk about how much greener the grass is on the their side, whereas I like to take a step back approach and know that whichever side I'm on I can find great apps for what I need to do.The apps are great, and when you have other Apple products it just makes sense to have an iPhone, they play great together! Now the tech stuff aside, there are equally amazing looking and functioning apps on play store as well, and any gap that exists can be leveraged by a smart developer if one wants.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case.Mine is pretty great, I'm a moderate user and never close apps I'm getting easily full day sometimes more.I am confident a software fix will come in the long run but my feeling is at worst case scenario apple will ask/make it mandatory for app developers (apps which require gyro/accelerometers) to include re-calibration tools at the setup of the apps.in the meantime I found a workable solution with callback services and dedicated apps. That's the down side... but since I can't pull the apps out once they are in, I'm kind of glad there is a way to get the apps out.2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:Page two: All the nice looking icons of the apps I use often / daily :P Page three: The other nice looking icons (the apps I din't use as often in folders) I only have Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade because I don't play games that oftenOnly in some apps mind you, like navigation apps you see much less on the iPhone and you get some weird banding display issues that make the map fairly ugly.1gb of RAM in this year on a device that is this high priced is horrible, especially when the Air 2 got 2gb of RAM and the amount of apps and tabs held in the background are far more than this paltry 1gb horribleness. So yeah, I'm still very unhappy with the 1GB of RAM and the fact that lots of apps still aren't optimised for the screen, but it's a very nice phone. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyIf after you have tried A. wipe and restore B. wipe and set up as a new iPhone C. LOADED very little apps (after you did B) for a few days to make sure one of your favorite apps is not causing the issue (due to it not being happy with the OS or the developer screwed up, they are human).I found myself not downloading apps because I was worried about running out of space, and also got tired of the white face.Yep ... the 6 is a lovely design .... but i have to say ... i have a silver 5 sat on my desk waiting for its new owner and its still a lovely feeling phone But the 6 is so thin ... kinda crazy but its a slippery bugger when its naked (i used a slip-case for protection but as it comes in use) Can't wait till apps are resized properly .... most of my daily-driver apps are still scaled but the ones updated look good.I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say! What's annoying is to carry both iPad and iPhone the same time and then later on during the day leaving iPad in the car when stopped for a diner at some place and realising damn I need the bigger screen when you start browsing net and apps while waiting for food.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Thse blown-up apps are ugly - and it's annoying and frustrating. The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.On Apple apps it looks great but developers need to hurry up and update their ****, because it's their apps are hideous zoomed inMost apps look terrible upsize and one hand use is awkward.I have a few apps like stratus that never updated to the 4' screen, lazy devs lol Hopefully they adjust faster with the new iPhone, the worst was with the retina display !My note 3 has been very problematic with apps crashing, bloatware, mysterious battery drain etc.And that same Nexus 4 had a worse camera, worse screen, worse performance (CPU and GPU), worse battery life, didn't have iMessage, didn't have apps as good as iOS, didn't have as good accessories and many more things...Seriously apps on Windows look tired, old, abandoned, boring much like Linux apps did 5-7 years ago when people were banging that drum.I've never owned a recent iPhone (the iPhone 4 was the last version that I owned) but in my experience all iPhones have been very laggy in opening apps, and especially bad at answering phone calls (many times the call ends before I can make the dumb "slide to answer" thingy actually work. The title bars looked nice in bold, but didn't like how it looked in apps.I use my wife's 5S, and the extra screen space seems superfluous to me (granted, in iOS 7 they made some apps worse on the 3.5" screen - like the calendar app - but they didn't have to do that). They will mostly likely do both, launch app and have it float in the middle of the screen with black bars surrounding and then a stretch to fill screen option like the iPad, honestly the stretch wouldn't look bad since when the iPad did it to the 3.5 inch iPhone apps it still looked ok, I doubt a .7inch increase would be horrible.Loved the iPhone 3G and I upgraded too the Samsung Galaxy S, it had pretty awesome specs but Android apps where not good at the time, and the OS although feature rich was ugly.So essentially nothing as drastic as all Google apps being bad like that and even worse than other apps that would provide similar services if one chooses to use them and allows for the relevant permissions. There are lots of AMAZING apps for Android, but it's a system where it's not uncommon for apps to only be really built for a small range of devices. But after having two 5s phones I can say the battery on this one, with more battery saving changes made (no background apps refreshing, screen brightness down, etc), is way worse.

double
Not really, alot of people actually seem to be very pleased and happy with their plus/6 battery life, me, i am getting stupendously good battery life on my Plus, literally probably double the battery life then what I would get on my GS4 easily.sorry Sorry if this is a double post....i know i'm not supposed to laugh and genuinely feel bad for the guy, but this entire series of events is so insane its hard not to laugh.Get Apple care + it's well worth the cost, any time you buy a high end phone or device getting Double the warranty and accidental damage protection is worth it.Screen resolution on this phone is amazing and I'm extremely glad I went with the 6+, and having to use 2 hand to use the phone isn't really that big of an issue, I mean it's a phatblet and you can just double tap to bring the screen down which was pretty neat and simple to use on a pinch.- Find a more elegant, apple worthy if you will, solution to the one handed double tap trick.Couple reasons... the rMini has the amazing Smart Cover that allows it to stand on a hotel nightstand, and the rMini's battery is way way longer and its overall screen size is almost double the real estate.. so going to keep using it as my media device :-)The technically-inclined blogosphere was stunned by this announcement, and an unnamed Qualcomm employee called it a This is all in addition to the design providing yet another 2x benchmark improvement, boasting a very wide execution core, and having an impressive transistor density that was approximately double its Swift predecessor.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).My 5S had the annoying resistive click when I pushed it certain ways, most frequently when I pressed it in the center and it made it really annoying to double press for multitasking but I am pleased to say that after close to 2 weeks usage it is now performing like it has on all the past iPhones.

The front of the 6 plus is so nice, without a screen protector, I just love the way mine looks and feels in the hand, I dont know why but the rounded edge just give it such a nice feel. There is no Android phone that feels as premium as this; the fit and finish and seamless feel is stunning.I do like the feel but had one bad experience with my phone falling onto tile that reminds me the cosmetic delta is well worth the security one.I love my 5s, I cannot imagine using an iPhone without Touch ID now, but the 5c is certainly a great device and a great alternative to the 5s for people who want a different shape, a different feel, and a bit of colour.I would go with a 5c to be honest, its just so nice the feel is amazing, my sister has one I'm just waiting to get mine, good luck choosingI didn't like the idea of plastic or of the bright colors at first, I'm pretty happy with a nice sleek black and I love the feel of the aluminum, but reading everyone's posts is starting to make me wish I had an upgrade soon!As much I love the feel of my iPhone 6 plus naked with its curved glass it's too damn slippery and I'm afraid I'll drop it and shatter it.Oh I know it's an official cable (that'd be weird if they shipped bootleg cables) .. but the feel of the cable since the iPhone 5 feels pretty cheap.I almost went in for the Samsung Galaxy4 when it came out because i really liked the larger screen and the android widgets..What held me back was a outright pathetic feel of the phone (I thought it was too fragile, and I hated the leather cover)...If Samsung does come out with a metal unibody for the GS5 (along with other improvements and/or additions) I see a lot of people like myself contemplating switching (even if the devise is still inferior to the ip5 in terms of build quality)...So i hope for my sake that apple comes out with a larger screen (Around 4.7-4.8 would work best for me) as I really do not want to break the apple chain (Have had every iphone till date)..
feature
For moms there's a great camera, a crucial feature that Apple has marketed so heavily they've got most everyone addicted to using it as one criteria of great importance when choosing a phone. The curved design feels fantastic, the screen size upgrades are great, the cameras have some awesome feature like slo-mo and OIS on plus, pretty great battery life, and Apple Pay sounds promising. So - taking into account Apple deprecated the 64GB 5s model from now on, I've just immediately bought the 64GB iPhone 5s - while they are still present here in stores... And now - I'm REALLY happy with it: I've got the extremely convenient TouchID feature, better camera etc, all in lovely 4" size. The beautiful iconic and very distinguishing iPhone bezels including the home button with one of a kind innovative and flawless security feature makes the iPhone the iPhone, a stunning standout.-- I have not used the feature at all, I just end up shifting the phone around in my palm as I find that more convenient (dunno why but i Just do) 8) Camera -- Defininately one of the most amazing cameras I have used on a iPhone, I compared between the 6 and 6+ and the 6+'s ability to focus so fast is just amazing.By far (aside from the beautiful new screen) the feature I'm most excited to try out and use on a daily basis. It's funny that fans of the funny green robot always say we use that excuse too much, when everytime a new iPhone comes out, they use the "we've had that feature for years".I want to stick with Apple, but for me to do so here's what I need: - A smarter, more intuitive and forward thinking iOS 8 - A better camera with improved flash - Sapphire screen (Not a fan of screen protectors, also not a fan of scratches on my screen) - Wireless Charging (Probably the feature I want most on the next iPhone) -Better battery life (No real complaints about the battery life of my 5, but improvements can, and should, be made whenever possible) - NFC (I want to link my debit card to my phone for fast payments) - An aluminum back that doesn't scratch up so easily when using the phone without a case (The iPhone 5 is gorgeous and looks/feels best when used without a case. The bigger screen of the Nexus 4 was and still is beautiful to me, the freedom to change keyboards was a big thing and swipe to type is an amazing feature.I'm not saying it's not boring, I just don't understand how "boring" qualifies as a legitimate criticism of the feature. As for the iphone in general, it's a very nice phone with amazing aspects to it, along with some serious flaws and weaknesses and stupidities about it -- there's nothing "minor" about having no notification light, a usuable DND feature, the ability to toggle quickly with the volume keys between vibrate/ring/silent, being able to silence the sounds of outgoing texts (sounds that where stupid to put there in the first place), and so on.This was a great feature on my Android phone, I'm glad Apple adopted it.AT&T Family Share Plan 4 Smart Phones (iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, Samsung Galaxy S3) Unlimited phone/text Personal Hotspot also included 6 GB data (shared) $239/mo total (including 17% discount from work) Would cost ~$10 more per month to increase data to 10 GB (Data costs $30 more, but cost per phone goes down $5 ea) A nice feature is that are staggered, so we can upgrade a phone every 5 or 6 months. That's definitely a cool feature but I really haven't felt too bad that I don't get that with AT&T, I'm just happy that I can talk and surf the web at the same time.Oh dear.. dare I say.. F A I.... nah, not even gonna bother.. a giga hurt WOULD be a good feature on a smart phone..Since I started tapping my credit card I thought it was a nice feature but not thread worthy. The weird noise reduction "feature" makes the images look worse in a lot of instances.Yeah it's not even a good feature to begin with, extremely awkward and cumbersome. The feature is invisible when turned off I posit that only slow, uncritical, unreasonable, or irrational person could have a problem with this.I mean, many people argued against a feature was demonstrated to be useful, at least to a large segment of users, would be cheap and trivial to implement, and would be 100% transparent to those that didn't want it.That feature is so dumb (in my view) and the way Phil Schiller was gushing on about it was pathetic. The reachability feature is nice, but I have to use it so much that it eventually became annoying.Turn off all my home theatre , dims the lights on a ten minute timer to give me time to brush teeth etc I'm sure there's more but hey Siri looks an interesting feature for my uses just not overly keen on having to plug my iPhone in to use it cause means I'll need to buy a dock and I don't fancy shouting hey Siri I'm going toilet how many ducking times are you listening or what (from a other room) hahaiMessage, and phonecalls are boring too :-) I think he probably means that it's a non-exciting, kinda mundane and unnecessary feature which was supposed to revolutionise the way we use our mobiles.Loved the iPhone 3G and I upgraded too the Samsung Galaxy S, it had pretty awesome specs but Android apps where not good at the time, and the OS although feature rich was ugly.I think it is a nice feature but is not that impressive. If you have every feature activated and your brightness above 50% and a bad cellular connection then your battery life will be much worse. It's interesting how many people get frustrated or baffled about why someone else would want a feature on a phone that they themselves wouldn't use.

The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the irony

The bigger screen of the Nexus 4 was and still is beautiful to me, the freedom to change keyboards was a big thing and swipe to type is an amazing feature.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performance
finger
Something about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.I do like Touch ID, and sometimes it does take an extra try for it recognize my finger, but worse comes to worst I can't still use my passcode.never thought I would be this excited and happy to swipe my finger on a phone every few minutes.come and take a close look my colorful cheaper phones, these are just for you.. also I have same model, no need to enter password just touch your with finger... you see.. ) i hope you forgot about big screen love.. why do you need such things, i know better then you.. this size is most ideal, just perfect.. you drive car when you use your phone, or do something when you are using your phone, it is best with only my phone ) but if you really wnat something big, I have even much bigger than what you want.I got my 6 on launch day and 2 days ago my husband upgraded from his 5s - he got the plus for me and I gave him my regular six The 6 plus has a beautiful big screen but it was not pocketable and is too big to carry and use IMO- I love to bar hop with my husband and attending Niners and Giants games without a purse so it didn't work for me I saw two ladies using their pluses and they looked frustrated trying to stand type and hold the plus however my sister loves hers - even named it the gold finger lol I ended up taking it back and getting him a regular 6.After hearing of people having issues with the 5s I was apprehensive about it working well on the 6, but no... it's been absolutely perfect, except for times when my finger is damp with sweat or water. If not, your finger moved too much or, worst case, you may have given TouchID a bad initial reading.

That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.Apple is usually the first to popularize awesome features such as 7 hour battery life on the MacBook Air (and then to an amazing 12 hours), retina display on a laptop, Touch ID on the iPhone, etc.It feels nice with the candyshell and touch ID is worth every penny.I love my 5s, I cannot imagine using an iPhone without Touch ID now, but the 5c is certainly a great device and a great alternative to the 5s for people who want a different shape, a different feel, and a bit of colour.[slighty] bigger screen would be nice, improved touch id would be nice, I'm pretty satisfied with the camera. It's definitely worth the upgrade, and if you're not interested in a bigger screen, the 5s is a great device with Touch ID (which works great) and is probably the most future-proof iPhone released yet.You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsMine doesn't rattle, neither it restarts by itself, the touch id works perfectly every single time , I have no problems with signal or wifi and the battery last all day using it heavily; I wanted to change my 5s 16g for a 32g but now I'm honestly scared to see all the problems other people have with their phone, I think I got lucky, and now I won't change it.I do like Touch ID, and sometimes it does take an extra try for it recognize my finger, but worse comes to worst I can't still use my passcode.Ya, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I actually got mine replaced under warranty due to that problem (it started within a few months of having it and got worse as the months went on and I finally decided to get it replaced before warranty was gone cause it was getting pretty bad) and then used assistive touch on the new one to keep it from happening again. What I find annoying with the Touch ID/Passcode is that if you try and delete an email from the lockscreen, it then brings up the keypad for your passcode, and then goes back to the lockscreen...makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome. And as dissatisfied as I still am with Siri's limitations, it is dwarfed by how dissatisfied I am with Apple's touch keyboard experience on this tiny screen.Touch ID is great, but really not worth the upgrade.Mine is a launch 5s and it was working perfectly (with a rare miss here and there, but not a big deal at all, I'd say 98% of the time it was fine)... we flew from RDU out to SJC a couple of weeks ago, and my touch sensor got worse and worse for the week and a half we were there.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.Every time I register my fingers, Touch ID works perfectly for a day and then progressively gets worse and worse. The s is nice but the touch ID just makes slide to unlock for notifications annoying. It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

buttons
I'm glad Apple doesn't see the need for that either as dedicated buttons or onscreen.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.The 4.7 inch iPhone seems very sturdy and solid, no hollow back, solid metal sound when you tap on it, rock hard solid buttons, the phone feels amazingThe fit and buttons are just perfect.Luckily, I was given a GREAT replacement (the buttons are super tight, nice and "clicky".A realistic look at the next iPhone from my perspective: PRIORITY Pre-installed Flash Removable battery More physical buttons for options such as profile 5.0MB camera or better Better battery life REALLY NICE TO HAVE Video conferencing and/or live streaming.(From playing with both models in store) Cheap feeling overall Loose buttons Very slippery Way too thin Ugly as hellI had to go through 6 iPhone 5 devices because one had horrid crackling during calls (every call, to any number and however strong the signal was), four had loose buttons (including the one I ended up keeping), and three had nasty scratches on the casing (as well as loose buttons on two of them). The Plus is going to feel awkward to many existing users, unless you have used something this size, years of being used to using a phone with one hand, will have you frustrated that the home buttons is not accessible.I've received replacement flex cables with defective sleep button in the past, but I think it is possible for the volume buttons to be defective, as well. The loose buttons have always irritated me, they feel cheap and nasty.I was nervous that it's nearly mid cycle, but so many of the buttons had stopped working on my 4s that it was getting incredibly annoying.

Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...IF you get lucky, the blue shirt will go to his/her manager and speak about it... the manager will then come over to you and say, yes we can cancel the 2 year contract and you'll have to wait for your upgrade eligibility to kick back in, which generally takes 5-10 mins... if you cancelled twice, you're SOL as it locks the upgrade and you'll have to call AT&T and they'll have to call some other to have it restored which will take 3-5 business days... to avoid that, if you're on a family plan, I'd suggest you pre-order with another line thats not looking to upgrade right away... that way your upgrade is available right away and theres no waiting around... if you're the only line, I'd suggest you log into your AT&T mobile app and keep refreshing the upgrade eligibility page until you see it kick in... once they cancel the 2 year contract, theres an option for the NEXT or you can purchase the phone "device only" which means you pay for the phone completely, right there... again, I've experienced stores where they will flat out tell you they cant do such a thing, blah blah blah, cancelling will put the phone back into their online pre-order batch, which is BS... you just need to get lucky and have a blue shirt willing to do it for you...I'm not saying I believe every single thing I read here, I'm not naive, but nor am I unrealistic.Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird. The one thing that has me amazed, I use to have to take a few pictures to get one in focus the way I want, the new 6+ with the stabilization almost always gives me great focus!Even directly insulting you isn't spam, though it wouldn't be a very nice thing to do.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKI keep hearing about how great the battery life is, which is the thing I'm most excited for.Sent it back, glad to be rid of the thing, back to my wonderful iPhone 5 (although this too has a slight yellowish screen, can't win!).I am glad that people are getting lucky and finding one in stock, but this whole pre-order thing is over for me.Like I tell people, it's great if you're a tinkerer and the kind of person who wants to spend hours customizing every little thing about the phone.Funny thing is that the picture quality does increase tremendously when switching to black & white Again, for a smartphone the camera in the 6 is no different than previous models, it works fine so be happy with it.Having owned a caboodle of high tech equipment, and being what you may call an OCD when it comes to keeping my equipment in perfect looking condition, I've learned a thing or two on how I should properly take care of my precious devices, specially ones with glass on them. This site is driving me crazy I can't keep coming here and obsessing on WHEN WILL I GET MY PHONE I'm not getting a damn thing done On the bright side I do have a fancy new iPhone 6 Plus CASE I can carry around and fantasize about what it might be like to carry around a real phone Maybe I should just go get a big 'ol magnifying glass to make my 5s look bigger in the mean time Oh and my wife - she thinks we all are crazy tracking every baby step our phones are taking from conception to delivery out the birth canal We are by the way .Broadly speaking, the screen is utterly gorgeous and everything (bar this one thing...) looks great on it.My 6 is perfect in every single way, looked at it every millimeter, every part of it, everything is flawless, BESIDES ONE THING AND it is bothering my OCD part of me hard.Like another post said the most shocking thing is that they don't seem to understand what they did its wrong, thats why a lot of kids grow up to be a pos since they grow up doing this kind of things and never face major consequences about it.The iPhone thing is bad, but there are worse out there. You say that like that beautiful screen is a bad thing and not a gift!So lets leave these threads with one thing in common....you be happy with your 6 and stop complaining about how BIG the 6+ is, and I will be happy with my 6+ and won't care how you use your 6.the bend thing isn't ridiculous, its not going to bend in your front pocket if your not in some weird awkward position.Seriously, the whole "gate" thing stopped being funny or clever a looong time ago.So Im reading this thread and kind of excited that I may actually be able to get an iPhone 6 since the thing that was holding me back was having to pay full price to keep my unlimited data.Considering selling it, but as cheap as the base model is retail, probably better worth it to just keep the dang thing.Yep you are lucky, funny thing is that on the tracking it still shows on time with delivery by EOD today lol...3) Health This is a nice thing about the new iPhone is it keeps track of steps and distance walked on its own, which is kinda nice how you dont have to install a specific app for it.Looking at my case is the only thing that keeps me sane...well somewhat sane...I am looking at a case pretending there is a phone in it.Then I checked out the 5.5 and thought geez this thing is huge, but after a moment of playing with it it wasn't so bad, however I put my phones in my front pocket (you know being a guy and all) and although I know it would fit in my front pocket it would be very uncomfortable because of how huge it is.and you want us to "Switch on that thing that sits between your ears" I had some of the earliest smart phones going back to windows phone's, ect.. and I never ever put a smart phone in my pocket most of the time, yes I do sometimes with dress pants, but never jeans, and I posted 2 links to 2 samsung phones that broke in pockets.I have a friend on Facebook who feels the need to do this kind of thing with his new LG phone, only 2 months ago he was telling everyone how he was moving away from the iPhone blah blah blah, he was out of contract, the usual stuff people say. This feels reactionary, not revolutionary (also, it was amusing to see Apple launch a large phone like such a thing didn't exist and have people freak out the way they did..I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal, love apple along w/my mini bags, first thing i grabbed was my smallest bag and voila it fit perfect!iPhone 6+ Gold 128GB on Verizon So worth the wait man, this thing is beautiful.I love their pricing / service / options, but man they're terrible for this kind of thing...This is kind of like the "I'm not racist, but..." Twitter thing.I'll still just be as happy, at the end of the day, stuff happens...the only thing you can do is get something (from ATT) to make it worth the wait. The thing is that it is gaudy, it is crowded but it isn't bad every once in a while. They are very friendly and accommodating for this kind of thing, and I have done it before many times in-store without any issues. That being said, the nice thing for Apple to do after years of proclaimining they had mobile phone operation "figured out" and that 3.5-4" was the "perfect size" would have been to at least offer one as an OPTION.Well this is the first thing that came to my mind I am a developer and I know there are many creative developers out there who could do great things with NFC on iPhoneIf you wear form fitting pants/jeans that thing will look mighty funny in your pants...yes!Funny thing is years ago when I lived in California I also lived in a location that most people consider typically Southern California..A nice 2 story apartment building in a small canyon full of sagebrush and cactus, built around a big kidney shaped pool with palm trees all around. One thing you always can trust Apple for is an amazing quality of product, and also an amazing quality of service if something is wrong with that product. With the 5.5 inch high resolution screen I can finally use my iPhone kind of like an old view camera, which is what I wanted to do with my iPad, but it's just too large for that kind of thing.buy it unlocked and got to t-mobile $30 plan or straight talk only way it makes it a smart thing to do...$$$ wiseThe bigger screen of the Nexus 4 was and still is beautiful to me, the freedom to change keyboards was a big thing and swipe to type is an amazing feature.I'm sure many here will go into a fit of rage since it's kind of the in thing to hate U2 nowadays, but just wanted to pass along some pretty strong rumors that have started making rounds around Twitter from music journalists and sources inside Univeral Records/U2's camp that there is going to be some kind of tie in with U2 next Tuesday, possibly resulting in their new album or single being preloaded on the iPhone 6.I think that the iPhone 6 design is absolutely amazing and incredible, how thin it is and all the technology its gonna be packed in it with that build quality (aluminum/sapphire glass screen or synthetic sapphire) Thing looks absolutely beautiful if leaks are true, its gonna be a absolute joy to hold and use and look atI been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.I have done the waiting in line thing, and while it was kind of exciting. That's not a bad thing though as it's a nice looking deviceI just upgraded to the iPhone 5s and for my need it a great phone all though I had to take it back cause it had issues in the first three months the off and on thing, until then I had the 4s and it worked great.Either way carriers would destroy allot of their user base if they got rid of subsidizing because that would end contracts...Verizon already has that program where you essentially "lease" your phone like a car...I'm guessing the pre-paid revolution is either scaring them or costing them a little.. Another funny thing that inflates the price of a smart phone: CDMA2000 only! It's these kind of questions that make me realize that the whole " No question is a dumb question" thing is just not true. The funny thing is that I dress kinda junkie and I listen to old school music (like Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, CCR, The Doors etc) and I walk around with a fancy champagne-gold phone.I have learnt one thing you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great smart phone. The funny thing is that its kind of seasonal with Apple's release cycles.Haha this is great most hilarious thing I've heard in my life. So, the compelling reasons boils down to (1) saving a bit of cash at the moment, and (2) maybe going for something even better in 6-10 months when the next great thing comes out of Cupertino. It works great for that kind of thing.I can't believe there is people that despise the design of the iPhone 5S, come on the thing is absolutely beautiful, I got the silver one and it seriously is a work of art, most beautiful phone ever, In fact the beautiful design and the smoothness of IOS are the only reasons I stay faithful to the brand, that tacky 5c can't even compareI'll tell ya what, I'm gonna do something you don't see on the internet very often: I'm gonna look deep into AppleCare+ and see if maybe it really is worth it and would make leaving the thing naked worth it.And the 5c fits right into an iPhone 5 case, the only thing is the volume button shape which throws off an otherwise perfect fit.The funny thing is I get great LTE at my house where I don't need it because I'm on Wi-Fi most the time.Great post mate and im still loving mine, had a few snide comments at work about having a yellow phone but then caught the main one looking at new iphones on the web lol Still pick this thing up and love it, have gone white with 4, 4S and 5 but agree the black front totally works with the vibrant colours, white would just not give the same look im also amazed at the number of U turns from 5S back to 5C, love it, keep any more pics coming as love seeing them and it keeps this great thread going! If you are sincere then you've already hit on the only realistic solution, cover the thing. The only other thing worth mentioning is that I had a custom "uncommon" brand clear case on the phone that fit rather tightly. It's kind of funny with this water thing, I had a second gen iPod touch a few years ago and somehow I managed to render the sleep button useless from my sweat on an arm band after a run.My favorite thing on this is the glowing apple logo and the apple logo home button, the home button on this is probably capactative which would be great if apple introduced that. One thing for sure though, now that Apple is offering us the unlocked iPhone I think it will force the companies to offer amazing deals to keep us locked in....if they do, I'll definitely be happy to save the money and sign again...I figure I'm going to need a phone for another 3 year anyhow, so if the price is right, I will. It's the latest and greatest thing, very 2.0, and so Apple is wise to include it with their phone. But, telling me some Android phone was "more advanced" 2 years ago is meaningless to me if the thing that is being pointed to as "advanced" is something irrelevant to me.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceGood thing I'm an honest kind of guy and didn't take this one, then go in later and do it again since the system would have shown I hadn't picked it up yet. Some display units may exhibit it, some may not, thats the thing with LCD technology, it is not 100% perfect and this is where OLED has advantages in having perfect screen uniformity and no backlight(OLED has issues of its own too though) Id say just keep it, nd just relax...slowly overtime too itll go away the backlight as we start to use our phones even more I believe, or itll just dim enough to the point where it is gone eventually....if you truly want to get your phone completly replaced , its really hit or miss with the Genius's, you could of told them, "hey this issue just started developing and im afraid itll get worse over time," etc etc.At the time I had no idea what his reason could have been but dishonesty always troubles me and only bad things seem to follow and I felt that we had time to stop the whole thing from getting ugly.Excessive thread locking and post deletion and banning has destroyed countless formerly great forums - deleting spam is one thing but vibrant forums that stay vibrant are typically the least moderated.Borg.... resistance is futile...you will be assimilated... you will be the same unsubscribed ps... am I the only one who thinks its weird that their iPhones are so important to them they cannot miss a call or text that its life or death each time... that given all that they actually put the thing down and walk away from it.Anyway, I will go ahead and say the phone is the only thing I have in my lonely, really bad life.It would be annoying and there maybe a reason they don't do that, but it would do the same thing without majorly upsetting users of Apple Pay/Google Wallet/ISIS, etc.My mom had her iPad stolen once, I activated Find my iPhone on it prior but it did practically nothing...the guy that "found it" (he's got a record so I was weary) erased the whole thing....was sketchy overall and kind of pissed me off but oh well.It is by far the worst thing I have to say about this phone, even worse than battery life. But I have a picture with a first gen iPhone next to my plus and damn that thing was puny.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...What a strange and absurd thing to say.The weird thing is, turning this on and using it for more than a couple minutes, the icons on the home screen and photo displays actually kinda give me a weird case of nausea. But the thing that you seem to have missed (since 1994) isnt that you are stopping discussions with "truth" you are stopping discussions because you annoy people with such irrational thinking that they dont bother trying to reason with an unreasonable person.I swapped to a note 3 then S5 worst thing i have ever done with tech, especially with a MBPr and iPad.They don't play nice together. The 6 plus is great but it doesn't get rid of that stale iOS feeling of the same thing for 7 years now.One thing I've learned in my old age - the world is a cruel, cruel place.Besides, I've seen some research on this very thing and it turns out that people are just as rude and vicious when using their real names. Its so strange to me that Space Gray is more popular, since the iPhone 5 I was worried that Black iPhones might have become a thing of the past!To believe that sapphire is less than ideal simply because traditionally used sapphire as we know it and as it's used today is less than ideal, is to not understand Apple as a company, I think, and how they've completely changed how things are done and what is(n't) possible from manufacturing and engineering standpoint Picking nits now: While that's indeed true, I also know that even though I'm from the south, saying, "God bless her, but..." doesn't excuse or sterilize any nasty thing I say about a person thereafter. The only thing I'm worried about is if Apple fixed their lighting cables, because I'm honestly tired of having my cables wear turtlenecks. Here's the thing too many of you are getting hung up on "it doesn't feel cheap next to a cheap competitor."I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say!My is still processing but I'll be keeping my 6+ Only thing I'm worried about is when they're gonna finally ship the damn thing. It makes no sense to attach "gate" to any word to automatically infer that it means a scandal, and this whole thing can get rather annoying and tiresome. If this is somehow a narrow thing and a non issue, which seems doubtful at this point, great but as It stands if the phone Is bending in a front pocket there is a definite problem and apple should have either engineered around it and honeycombed the metal and reinforced it or made the phone thicker.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Being ignorant about something potentially very serious is not the most intelligent thing to doSitting on the same thing ... to me they can get it to us tomorrow ... and I'm gonna be pretty unhappy if it carries over into Thurs ... since I am not home all day and even picking it up will be annoying as I have class all day ..The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.Your own impatience is the only thing making it 'outrageous' and 'unbearable'.Strange thing is if I use it I get worse or same as applesI don't have it yet, I do have placed a pre-order though, and the only thing I'm really 'worried' about is whether or not it will actually fit in my pants (front).I'm "upgrading" from the 4S and I gotta say that as weird as this may sound, I really like the thickness of it because - another weird thing here - I can feel its weight in my pocket (yes POCKET) and it reminds me where I put it!And of course the worst thing about this is, I am at the mercy of ATT and their iPhone 6 inventory (which is quite abysmal). The major major thing with the 6+ is how shocking bad safari behaves.I usually don't mind this kind of thing because of the battery issue, but the 6 and 6 plus have great battery life so there's no more excuse to not put 2GB of RAM in it...and one last thing; do not give advice on this or any forum based on unfounded assumptions or wishful thinking, the internet is becoming overloaded with dubious information. The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies. The plus owners will think " i thought im going to watch a lot of movies and playing games with this thing, but 90% of the usage actually chatting and soc med and this thing is so big and annoying it's very hard to use with one hand, i should have got the 6 instead damn!!!"Hmm...I saw the same thing when I put in my phone numbers and then a fake number to see what was happening, but if I put in a fake number (even a valid land line number) it doesn't work. It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date.Well, it's a good thing you aren't exaggerating and adopting an insulting tone to "support" your rebuttal, because if you were that would make it significantly less compelling. The only thing that could cause that bad of battery life is if you're in an area with really bad coverage and it's doing a lot of searching\low-bar data...I was just going to suggest one that can fit an iPad Mini but that thing is beautiful. Can't wait until it's revealed that Lord Zedd used his evil powers to steal all the iPhones, thus meaning that none of us are getting a damn thingThat thing is bizarre, way too big for a phone, nice if you don't have a tablet already.I know I can order and get it delivered next Friday but I kind of want to experience the waiting in line thing as dumb as it may be.Maybe this is not worth a post, but last night a funny thing happened. Now it becomes an awkward thing for both people (cashiers touching nasty phones/nasty cashiers touching my personal phone) etc. It's the same thing every time we have one of these.... Everyone gets all spun up and Apple Logos appear in their eyes....We make ludicrous posts about how Apple is the greatest and we can't wait to stand in line at 3 am to purchase it.... And then the Keynote happens and we will come back and say what an awful update that was and how underwhelmed we are by the newest Apple offerings....Then we may buy it...We may preorder it but only because the battery life sucks on the 6 month old 5S we currently have....Trying to ascribe bad motives to whoever had the device blacklisted is just sick, and it's wrong, and it's a pathetic whiny excuse to avoid doing the right thing and turning it in to the police. The main thing stopping me from doing so is I am worried that apple can tell if an esn is bad or activation lock I sensed. While there are people who will defend something here and there because of this or that, there are certainly quite a few of those who will simply explain what their use is like and/or what they think is behind a particular design/functionality without necessarily saying it's the best thing ever and can't be better, but also without going crazy about it and how bad it is and how bad Apple is and how it's all horrible.on the contrary, web browsing is the main thing I use my phone for, I've never had "ram" issues but I don't look for trouble, having 8 open tabs is dumbof the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedThe thing that is annoying is people take comments personally like you are insulting their kids or something.I've already replaced the screen myself with a cheap Chinese knockoff after shattering it one drunk night in platform heels, so I'm familiar with the guts of the thing.A few months after having my phone i dropped it and where the sim card would go popped open which was weird and noticed it had a sim card which i am pretty sure it never had another weird thing it was a at&t sim card and my google number was assigned to it which i know i never did. Here's the strange thing about my service.....I can have terrible service one day and then decent service the very next day, same exact location (standing in my front yard).Hope this helps some of you out because this battery thing had me furious and frustrated!I have to be honest, I am not very knowledgeable on this kind of thing, and so far my google searches have produced zilch, BUT I was wondering if anyone might have some information on the ST iPhone 4.Yes, there are shady Geniuses who would suggest such a thing, but they do not represent the vast majority of them so your argument is invalid. After a while trying to understand why my fullchargecapacity was dropping like crazy(sort of 50mAh per charge), a noticed something: Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I guess this is THE THING that is giving to the users a variety of different fullchargecapacities, my example: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1243 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I let my iphone plugged in to my computer, and after a while i opened the ibackupbot again, but this time something showed up differently: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1304 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false So, I guess my advice is, if you want the app to accurately measure your fullchargecapacity, you have to wait till the batteryischarging:false and fullycharged:true.BUT, dear friends, the worst annoying thing is that 3D Games and scenes looking worst on this faulty screens!I do believe I am slowly spiraling down into a rainbow colored psychedelic twisted full blown level 5 code red delusional brain melt down waiting for this thing. And the last thing I want is too get a replacement that is worse than my current week 39: -3 flat -2 long edge -2 short edge This is definitely the worse apple issue I have faced throughout the 10 different purchases I've made over the years!Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power. It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneI already tried to get used to the no surf and talk while on data and the annoying "multiple calls" thing when you get another call while being on one, it says multiple, if you hang up with one, the other goes away and rings you back, beyond weird, i realize this is a CDMA thing along w/ super slow 3g when LTE is not avail. The thing that does disturb me on a routine usage is the vertical scan lines or interlaced lines, which makes me dizzy and gives me sore eyes. The strange thing is that is I switched the phone off then on again it would all work ok, I noticed this on Friday and over the weekend, I called Apple Support who did not have a clue about what to do, strange that it has been fine yesterday and today. That looks stunning The only thing I don't like is the home button put on the frame, thats so android like and I never liked it on my friends device but the rest looks great & I also like the light up Apple Logo but that would be replaced by the home button again, maybe the lil square lines of that button could light up when I get a notification, I would welcome it...otherwise it depresses me that we all have so many wonderful ideas but we all know that Apple will never implement them into the final productThere could very well be bad publicity for Apple, they will be releasing a product which is somewhat defective right when you turn it on..... Sure Apple has alot of people who will still buy the device regardless of how many probs the thing has, but then you have people who will come after Apple just like they would any other company who releases a broken product and does nothing to fix it.This is the problem with spending your time reading Macrumors I guess, people can make mockups that look realistic but are unrealistically small/thin and have features that Apple won't or can't add yet, then when the real thing is released it looks bad by comparison.
ring
ois also works great for video I've seen tests where the ois 6 plus on video was superior to the 6 ois has a magnetic ring and this magnetic ring is what keeps the lens from moving from what i have read the magnetic protruding ring does not care if you are recording video, taking still pictures, or you are in low light. There is another thread on here with a guy who bought an aftermarket silver ring for his home button and his TouchID works perfect and it looks great for those interested...I love my Space Grey iPhone 6...sometimes I miss the Slate Black iPhone 5 color though, I'm sure they could have reformulated the paint to make it more scratch proof but that would've been harder...either way Space Grey looks great.I like them too, it actually looks good IMO, if it was all just metal'ed out it wouldnt look as good I dont think, Also call me crazy but I actually do like the slight camera protrusion too with the nice beautiful darkish gray gunmetal ring that surrounds the camera, covered in sapphire lens glass, its beautiful IMO..Not at all, my iPhone 6 is perfect and it feels really premium imo, I love the camera actually protruding from the phone ever so slightly, the dark metal shiny ring around the camera is a nice touch.Little touches such as the Lockscreen accent colors changing to the wallpaper are beautiful, the Dialer ring colors accenting to the frosted glass look of the background are perfect touches.never had gold before the black's always been default, but i went to the AS today and the gold with white looks awesome and in the brown leather case the little gold accent ring around the home button is fabulous.... p.s.The white fascia with the gold ring around the TouchID in the Olive Brown looks fabulous, very happy with it.I'd love to see like the post above some form of waterproofing so that I'm not afraid to use my iPhone in the rain also and I've sent this suggestion to apple, a small translucent ring around the home button that has a pulsating ring of light for missed calls, messages, email etc if not then a led somewhere for the same purpose, a smart wifi option so it switches off once you leave your home wifi and will come back on once your home or it can remember where other wifi locations are and switch back on once you get to that area.I bought two iphone 5S silver one is perfect quiet nice and smooth yhe other is click like the button is hitting the ringTo me the silver ring looks a little cheap and IMO will deff get scratches, I'm picky like that with my phones.
screens
It's amazing that a display that is 5 years old keeps holding it's own against some of these more advanced screens on the latest and greatest phones that are out now, and still looks better than most of the new amoled phones. All the things we thought the 6 would be, but wasn't: Wireless charging Waterproof Two day battery 20Mp camera Bezel-less Two gigs ram at least LED notification Durable Sapphire screen No ugly antenna bands No ugly protruding lens No bad screens escaping QC inspection Stable iOS Smooth iOS This would make a phone with paying a thousand bucks for.Must be lucky, my iPad 4 and iPhone 6 plus have perfect screens.Like TVs they tend to set the screens to the vibrant mode to catch your attention in the store as we humans tend to like bright bold colours in those situations.Amazing how Apple gets away with advertising these great screens when most have serious flaws.Intriguing to see the 6 screen looking so weird though but I personally wouldn't panic as polarized glasses makes loads of screens look odd. Also the ip6/6 Plus and their design and performance and camera and screens are just fantasic and amazing as a whole in the package , extremely top notch specs (ARMv8/64 Bit processor that is top notch performer on the market right now, extremely good front and back cameras, best LCD screens in a smartphone ever(Thats up to you if you prefer OLED over LCD or vice versa) amazing body design in my opinion, really good battery life) I love and adore the look of the new screens how they like overlap on the edges and it morphs into the edges for a nice smooth glide off feeling, (I have a Space gray iPhone 6 and I love so much how the black screen like morphs over the edges and consumes the phones front ) i think it looks much better then any phone out right nowSome people can't stand screen protectors and are passionate about their beautiful naked and lightly scratched screens. These are very nice, I will be getting this one for my wife.... She killed already 2 screens in prior iPhones so it will be worth itEventually, the app developers will optimize them to fit natively on the new screens, at which point the font will be nice and crispy once again.Too bad amex wil NOT cover liquid damage, broken screens.. only stuff like a broken home button, volume button, lcd going bad (not shattered)Reviews summary: both are fantastically designed, with great cameras, brilliant screens, fast chips, and solid battery life. The Apple fanboys say anything to defend Apple, their screens were perfect at 3.5 & 4 inches and are now perfect at 4.7 & 5.5 inches. They are very nice, beautiful HD screens. They are great for getting a general idea of how big the screens might be I am actually happy with the 4 inch screen I had a little trouble reaching all of the corners of the screen on the 4.7 inch screen. But web browsing and texting, etc on the beautiful android 5" screens is amazing! The glossy surface and fantastic colors make it look sleek and stylish and I love that it has a black screen (I'm not very attracted to white iPhones or the white screens on the iPod touch 5).I think video stabilization would be great along with a great low-light camera and much clearer picture-i don't think screens on phones will be 4k for several years-I can see them already making 2k tablets and some crazy expensive 4ktablets but i don't see them making 4k phones-maybe a 2k but that would be expensive. You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themMy iPad Air has a gorgeous screen and I think to remember that Sharp made these screens (IGZO), so I don't think Sharp made the bad iPhone screens.I've had plenty of samsung friends who said the retina display looks nice and i've had many iOS friends who said samsung screens look nice; i doubt either had any idea with the exact PPI numbers were.i am 6'5 and i too have tried the samsung note 2 with the bigger screen and for the first couple of days it was weird but after that i was use to the size and feel i do agree that would be ideal for them to release 2 differnt size screens but i do not think i would want a screen size as big as the note as it makes it very uncomfortable in the pantsBut there ARE cheap devices with huge screens, many of them made by some cheap chinese brands but also devices like the Galax Mega.I too have ever so slightly backlight bleeding at same exact spot on my Plus, it isnt really too bad at all, on black screens it prettt much looks uniform, but there is a little bit that I do see....wonder if overtime as the backlight gets used if itll even out or slightly dim there, kind of bothers me, but I think my case is lighter then yours, not gonna try and go replace it though because the next one could be worse or have other issues (my Plus is flawless in every single other way)Big screens are great and impressive, but I don`t want them on the phone.I returned 3 iPad Airs with yellow screens last year before getting one that I was happy with and it is not perfect - just perfect enough for me.PS, I am usually so unlucky with screens, and dead/stuck pixels, but this one perfect!I just want my product to be as advertised - without any defective screens or bad built quality.Anyway, we just text and voice with the iPhones since we got tired of the very small screens and keyboards of our old "dumb" phones.People were screaming " give us bigger screens blah fingerprint sensor isn't spectacular blah" and now people are screaming " why are the new iPhones big wee the 5s is too big for my pocket"...there are always people like you around, sad part, too much talking with superficial knowledge... the day come and apple is releasing new 2 phones with much bigger screens.Cheap cheap screens, and about 1 in 15 to 20 do not have these lines.I was basically saying that the lag when switching between home screens is almost non existent but the app loading time was a LOT worse on the s5 it was shockingThe larger and better screens on the GS5 and the new HTC one are kind of appealing, but the hassle is just not worth it.It's small black lines that seem to move very fastly, a behaviour I also saw on very cheap phones with very cheap LCD Screens.BUT, dear friends, the worst annoying thing is that 3D Games and scenes looking worst on this faulty screens!Overall I'm still very disappointed in Apple for using these cheap screens. Both display models, gray and white, had hideous yellow screens and HORRIBLE screen interlacing compared to the iPad 3 sitting next to them.Besides, I've seen screens way worse than this one and I don't wanna risk getting a screen that's worse and wishing I had kept this one.

edge
The front of the 6 plus is so nice, without a screen protector, I just love the way mine looks and feels in the hand, I dont know why but the rounded edge just give it such a nice feel.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc. They should have just done this iPhone Star MEGA iPhone MEGA iPhone 6S Mini iPhone Young iPhone ACE 4G LTE iPhone 4G LTE A iPhone ROUND S iPhone BEND PLUS S iPhone EDGE iPhone NO EDGE iPhone PRO iPhone ROYAL iPhone SuperSmart iPhone SuperDumb iPhone Kaptuer iPhone Patented iPhone Wonderful iPhone Magical iPhone Bigger than Bigger iPhone The U2 U Don't Want And that's just the first six months!I live in a town with beautiful rolling hills of forested trees, my house is actually on the edge of a park and surrounded with beautiful trees in the back and out front. We all know for nationwide coverage Verizon and AT&T are the only carriers one should look for and the key word there is "Nationwide" but, where I'm T-Mobile is the best (coverage wise and cost wise) and since I'm 57 years old and use to travel with car Radio and 8-tracks I really don't mind Edge or no service while I'm driving since again the key word there is "Driving" and not playing with my phone .I want to keep this phone bad but constantly having no service and edge (just as useless, cant even make calls) in my own room is kind of a dealbreaker.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceOne 6+ was so bad I felt bad for selling it because it had a noticeably darker band on the top edge of the screen.Damn, sorry *Mods please delete this thread if you get a chance I'll take your word for it...but to play devils advocate, one could argue that the softer aluminum when hit very hard creates a sharp internal edge which could puncture the softer Li-Ion battery that apple uses where as cheap quality plastic phones with removable backplates tend to have hard plastic battery housings....I I think in this case it doesn't matter what phone the guy had, same result would have happened due to the force upon impact resulting in what you described.I wasn't saying Edge isn't worth doing, I mean Edge isn't worth doing for you.I figured something was up, so I did a mock edge upgrade, only to find my account locked for upgrading because my MEID didn't match the one on my agreement (my device had been replaced with Asurion and they gave me this awful S4 instead of a Moto X, unless I wanted to wait a month to get a functioning phone).Went in to Telecom to upgrade my Samsung galaxy nexus to a Samsung galaxy s5 and was sooooooooo disgusted at the horrible cheap nasty imitation plastic chrome edge and nasty plastic case that I got the iphone 5s instead. What's ironic is that, because of the original iPhone with no 3G, AT&T had to spend months backfitting their system for a higher speed EDGE so the new Apple device wouldn't look pitiful running at 59 Kbps.I wish HTC would concentrate on quality as well, HTC ONE is a beautiful phone but it needs work to become better...not hardware wise, but software wise...HTC too can create a ecosystem of its own that utilizes simple things like an iCloud competitor....or even start going with Ubuntu EDGE!And the last thing I want is too get a replacement that is worse than my current week 39: -3 flat -2 long edge -2 short edge This is definitely the worse apple issue I have faced throughout the 10 different purchases I've made over the years!T-Mobile will still be stuck with abysmal EDGE because they're too cheap to upgrade all sites to at least HSPA.I have been a T-Mobile iPhone user for about a three years now..at first i had to deal with the terrible speed of EDGE since the iPhone is not built to run on T-Mobile's network..about two months ago i was finally able to get 3G on my iPhone 5 thanks to T-Mobile's attempt to upgrade their network to be able to drag more iPhone users to join their network...I'll admit at first i was really excited about this but after two weeks of 3G coming in and out, weak signal, dropping calls i finally said i've had enough, my iPhone would drop from 3G to EDGE at random times and even go NO SERVICE!!I am having trouble deciding it because if i go swap it i am afraid that those units were are also defective or worst than what i have i have a dent on the edge as shown in the pic below, but in the picture it looks small. You also have a gap between the display and the infamous defective aluminum edge.

safari
I went into settings, safari (my phone browser), selected advanced, then website data, then remove all website data (at the bottom) and the discs went away, I don't think I lost any of my saved passwords or anything that I wanted to keep probably just cached pages to help sites load faster, but the discs annoyed me so I was happy they went away.I've noticed that scrolling in Safari on my 6 Plus feels kind of weird, like there is no acceleration or inertia. My tests were: Safari Pages iMovie One handed typing The 6 was nice, very nice.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,my ipad air has a perfect screen and I'm getting upwards of 12 hours use out of it even with some gaming, the mini retina I bought had a perfect screen and good battery life, and safari doesn't crash on me.64GB SG & 64GB GOLD ordered in store 9/22 Shipping window 10/30-11/10 GOLD shipped 11/11 out of Fort Worth no emails received from AT&T only one order traceable online (although both shown) online chat didn't work on Safari phone call at 3pm 11/11 rep says gold shipped SG pending GOLD shipped at 3:45 pm phone call to at&t was only way i can find status of SG phone they said a shipment of SG iPhones is expected from China in 2-3 days that the AT&T website is not perfect is not excusable considering their pocket books BE PATIENT FRIENDS - yours, too, will come no need to get yourselves upset or use unkind language towards hapless dronesDamn robbery for a few extra Mbit/s.. "Safari feels snappier" is not worth _that_ muchThe major major thing with the 6+ is how shocking bad safari behaves.Either Safari is horrible at memory management, iOS is horrible at memory management, or iOS devices need more RAM.Through all that copying and pasting you still missed the boat...Oh, please just leave android out of it that **** is old and lame now....but like i said you missed the boat bad, the plus needed more ram period...ram/processor works as a tandem, damn the bench score...what about the issues with safari address that with your bench scores...it will fall back to ram/processorI will buy it, use safari extensively and see how "bad" it is, and sell it if it's worse than the current phone; I will most definitely make money on the deal lol.I asked Siri to open safari a few days ago and it asked me if u want to search the web for something inappropriate even though I just said "Siri, can you please open Safari" I was a bit offended by that...Siri is really annoying and never understandsThe same with this damned music app, which tends to crash every hour, that's extremely annoying, in my opinion Despite this, safari crashes also a lot, but it's bearable, though not nice.
reachability
mode
Like TVs they tend to set the screens to the vibrant mode to catch your attention in the store as we humans tend to like bright bold colours in those situations. In areas I had GREAT LTE signal strength with my 5S.... on my 6 Plus is more on 4G... toggle airplane mode on/off..... goes back to fast amazing LTE, 3-5 mins later back to 4G... without even moving...I would really like the OIS for the camera and the landscape dual pane mode for apps looks awesome (Though I find it annoying that they didn't add faces to iMessage on the 6...it already increased width from the 5s, the icons would fit fine.)Horses were perfect too as a mode of transportation for years, doesn't mean that when something newer that was better and actually had enough support and desirability wouldn't then be perfect instead.(The second biggest factor is that annoying, pointless, and confusing outgoing text sound iphone makes that can't be turned off in non-vibrate mode.It is the dishonest and unethical "people" (i use that word loosely) who violated the TOS by using it in tether mode.Perhaps leaving the phone on "demo" mode all day long "fixes" the display c. We all just have the worst luck and have in fact received "defective" displays 2.Got an email from AT&T though reviewing my plan and telling me stuff for my account, but who knows....happy for everyone in the group in shipping mode, feel bad for me, hahaA Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone need to be much smaller, basically, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen) It's ugly how much space/real estate is wasted on the current design of the front of the iPhone Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, atleast while connected to Wifi N iChat Support Flash Support (I want to access hulu from my iphone damn it!)

ipod touch
I'm not worried about the protruding camera (I've had an iPod Touch for ages and the camera isn't affected at all, nor is it very noticeable) but those antenna lines look terrible and there's still way too much bezel.I been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsYa, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

imo
If you dont mind the size of the Plus(which i got used to pretty quickly and dont think its that big anymore actually, and also the tapered edges and thinness makes it alot better to hold and is less cumbersome overall) The screen and battery life on the Plus is just incredibly good and really dam good, it is worth it, the extra screen size and the battery life alone makes it worth it imoSomething about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )Yeah I got applecare + on my 6 Plus and im rocking it naked with just a ghost armor screen protector, applecare+ is very worth it imo , gives great piece of mindI love the 5 series design, and I also love and appreciate the 6 design too, I love the sleek black look with the sides sloping off , it looks amazing IMO, With that being said I do wish their Space Gray model was a bit darker, now that would of looked awesome with the black front if the Space Gray is just a bit darkergot the 6 first, absolutely thought Id never get a phone the size of the Plus, was chirping that the 6 is the perfect size and phone, but then I started getting envious of the Plus, then i wanted to switch to the Plus and I did and i love it that much more over the 6 and im beyond happy and satisfied I switched to the Plus Love the screen and battery life tremendously, they are simply incredible on the Plus, also has OIS which is a benefit, its been about a week since I owned the Plus and I am already used to the size(granted I rock it without a case to keep it slim and light, which the thinness and weight makes it alot more tolerable to hold and feels good imo, much better feel and hold and is slimmer in hand then other phablets, I am used to the size alreadyI like them too, it actually looks good IMO, if it was all just metal'ed out it wouldnt look as good I dont think, Also call me crazy but I actually do like the slight camera protrusion too with the nice beautiful darkish gray gunmetal ring that surrounds the camera, covered in sapphire lens glass, its beautiful IMO..out of the past few iOS devices: iPad 2 was pretty bad iPad 3/4 not bad at all iPhone 5 was awful iPhone 5S wasn't horrible unless you wanted Gold IMO, the iPhone 6 Plus availability is the worst I've seen in any iPhone release, particularly 64GB.This, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusI got Applecare + on it, this phone is way too beautiful to put a case on it imo, bought Applecare+ for peace of mind, and knowing I can get a replacement for around $80 if anything happens besides theft Much much better then having to pay alot more if you happen to bust your phone, Applecare + is awesome, and it's also for 2 years, AND boosts your 1 year limited warranty to 2 yearsIf I wasn't on a family plan only paying for unlimited data then I would be on one of the following: - Verizons $60/mo 2gb + unlim talk & text plan (includes phone subsidy worth $18.75/mo) - Crickets $35/mo 1gb + unlim talk & text plan - Brightspot Mobiles $29/mo 3gb + 300 min + unlim text Gun to my head right now I'd pick Verizon's deal, best combination of great network and value on an individual currently running IMO.Not at all, my iPhone 6 is perfect and it feels really premium imo, I love the camera actually protruding from the phone ever so slightly, the dark metal shiny ring around the camera is a nice touch. That all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningGlad I got my Space Gray launch day from Apple IMO, the gold 6+ is hideous but the gold 6 is actually really nice.iphone 6 plus is a huge phone, screen real estate wise, and its a great migration IMO!I too love the way the gold looks and the bands don't bother me at all since the front is white it all kind of meshes it looks gorgeous IMO.Then again if you think of all the 6+ users that have posted or "trolled" similar comments.... To each his own, but packing all the electronics and capabilities in the form factor of the 6 is more impressive and awesome than the 5.5'' imo.IMO great piece of technical device, I'm glad I'm keeping it..It's not bad IMO at all and if you ignore taxes/fees for a second it's almost the same exact price as a goPhone plan, which I've always found to be a great value. The screen resolution is better at 1080 but not amazing IMO, amazing is the note 4 which a couple of my family members have, but I prefer iOS which speaks for why I chose the 6 plus. Its great coverage but just not that great for a smartphone bought on contract IMO.The back looks ugly (IMO) and the protruding camera is ugly and will probably annoy the hell out of me if it wobbles on a flat surface. With 5 lines, if you share the 10GB (which would likely only be sharing between 3 lines since 2 are dumb phones), it's $100 for data, then $15/line... so $100 + $75 = $175/month (not including taxes or any discounts you may have) (NOTE: tethering is included) You just have to remember that phone upgrades aren't included in that price at all, so anytime any of the 5 lines need to be upgraded/replaced, you are left with buying the phone outright or going NEXT (or the traditional subsidized route which isn't even worth considering IMO.)To me the silver ring looks a little cheap and IMO will deff get scratches, I'm picky like that with my phones.

future
windows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futurewatch out for "iPhone for life" if you terminate your agreement you must pay ALL future device payments and then you have to either hand them your phone or you have to take their purchase option so for example if i lease an iPhone 6 64 gb for $25 a month and i have 21 months left, i have to surrender my iPhone PLUS pay them $525 i guess the purchase option would be another $224 i am sick of people calling this deal a rental going around and making sure all the various news sites telling you how bad the iPhone 4 life program is almost as futile of trying to destroy every last copy of Star Wars the Holiday Special if i pay the future device payments plus take the purchase option, i bet i still won't get an unlockDisappointed, hope it will be a future update as it's handy, but definitely not enough for me to go and buy the plus. This sin't happening to everybody though and you may be lucky, but its wise in future to test these things out before jumping in with both feet.IMO accepting a defective product only rewards the company for their incompetence and heightens the chances of future defective products.all brand new in sealed boxes just makes me wary about getting another iphone in the future which is a shame because they are lovely phones but i don't have much confidence in their build quality anymore.I was worried it would get worse in the future.
lot
I've noticed having the case gives me a lot of freedom because I'm not constantly worried about scratching my phone which is nice.Still, 8.1 has a lot of other nice fixes that make it worth it.True I've never had a glass one, but I just feel weird about covering up something I paid a lot for that feels nice, and I worry about air bubblesThat all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningshould i stick with my 64gb 6 or get a 16gb 6+ , or somehow dish-out/find $100 (which is like a months worth of weekend entertainment for me in college ) an get a 64gb 6+, which my parents won't be too happy about since they think i already spent a lot getting the 64gb 6 then the baseLike another post said the most shocking thing is that they don't seem to understand what they did its wrong, thats why a lot of kids grow up to be a pos since they grow up doing this kind of things and never face major consequences about it.Wow, seems like Iphone 6 Plus is having a lot of problems...I tried the Note 4 at bestbuy today and it was stunning and a wonderful device on all regards...Take Blizzard's Hearthstone, it works great on an iPad and while they are working on an iPhone version, I think that is going to be a much different experience because the cards will necessarily have to be shrunk a lot to fit the interface. These tech websites are making these iPhone bending reports such a big deal, of coarse it's gonna bend if you put that much pressure on it, any phone would...People always find the smallest things to complain about, a lot wanted a big iPhone for such a long time now they got it but keep finding negative things about it, people want thin, light, indestructible and cheap and they'll still not be satisfied, simple solution of putting a case on it would solve the issue...out of at least 10 million iPhones only a small percentage of iPhones actually were bent but these reports are making this such big deal and people are actually going out and exchanging their phones smh...just my opinion thoughThe size isn't event that bad, but I'm just ok indecisive and notice I carry this phone around a lot at work due to it not being the easiest to place in my pocket. My 5s looks fabulous despite a lot of hard living in my pocket when I'm doing landscape/gardening work or playing with kids and dogs at the park because it's kept in a nice leather wallet case that protects it front and back. While there were a lot of enthusiastic Apple fans eager to get their hands on the new iPhones, yes, it was disconcerting to see others in line who really couldn't care less. She did this evening and gave me enough credit to get a nice case as well as a bill credit BTW I was nice on the phone and and explained that a lot of the frustration I've seen on this thread had as much to do with ATT's lack of transparency as well as the fact that the CSR's obviously were not given any leadership/guidance/information that would have at least given the consumer a feeling that we weren't all being stonewalled.Got to say that I have been using Apple products since 1984 and have not gotten bad product yet, I have had a LOT of Apple products, just about every computer every iPhone every Apple TV, I have been luckyI agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBGreat signal in a lot of places and really great 4G speeds. It may be somewhat of a more niche market you're selling to but I don't think it will hinder any kind of resell value For what it's worth, I have sold both Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3 recently and had A LOT more responses about my Note 3 than my S5.OCD isn't what I have I just DESERVE a perfect phone because I think 749$ is a LOT of money... so because of that it had better be PERFECT.Looks like I got lucky and got a CSR that was happy to credit the account without asking a lot of questions.I know SPRINT is at the bottom but I think they have been putting a lot of work in to come back and I was all over the new deal for $50/month UNLIMITED data when SPRINT came out with that for the 6/6+ Also...Im moving from a small area to a much larger market and any provider will do just fine out there so Im excited to see how great SPRINT is with all their upgradesI'm kind of in that boat -- I do a lot of email and remote IT work, and a larger canvas, while still pocketable, is a great advantage.A lot of people thought the glass panels on the back of leaked iPhone 5 pictures was really ugly, but most people now think the iPhone 5/5S looks great. You'll find Macrumors to be populated by a lot of intelligent and passionate 'technology' fans. For a while those things were worth a lot - I'm amazed. If that were to happen, I think there will be a lot less people upgrading, unless there is some kind of spectacular ability with the new phone. She doesnt want to spend a whole lot, doesnt use much data, and is not worried about having the latest and greatest. That makes me a happy camper Thanks a lot for all help everybody, have a nice weekend!Glad to hear that you are okay, like what the other guy said this kind of situation can certainly get a lot more uglier than this. The 5C make a bold statement, though it's plastic it has a lot to offer and I kind of like that. It's sad but not a lot of companies would sit and hand a customer $2400 worth of product to satisfy their complaint, no matter how wrong they were.Yes the damage isn't bad and yes over time you would probably sustain some sort of marks on the phone by yourself but the point is these things are a lot of money and should be perfect out of the box. It's great there are so many happy 5c owners and I like how a lot of people (like me) had every intention of buying the S until they saw / held the C in person and changed their mind!Hi everyone , I'm here to inform you all that I've solved this problem after battling for hours , I red a lot of post on various forums and tried , changed/removed security/encryption standards , changed DNS , Tried different channels , toggled genius in privacy ... etc but none worked I have a 5 year old netgear wifi router which worked just perfect with ipad , iPhone 4 & 4s but since I got i5 , I've faced serious wifi issues like , average browsing , ultra slow app store download speeds ... for a 10mb app it took more than 15 mins to complete , on 20 MBps broadband line .. After trying every solution out there I tried my friends Belkin and Netgear N series router , and everything worked perfect @ blazing speeds on both belkin & N series, found the difference almost instantly(on all my old devices as well) .Tmobile won't launch lte till 2013 and even then it will probably only be in a select few cities so its not a bad idea to buy the verizon version Nice I traded my att iPhone 5 for the Verizon one just because I will probably never have tmobiles lte in my area and the Verizon version supports a lot more bands and one day I might go to Verizon they have lte in my areaThey sure charge a lot for literally doing NOTHING worth that kind of charge.windows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futurePeople rag on Apple, some issues to be sure but great customer service is worth a lot.ps: if you're a Samsung employee, please refrain from posting, I'm tired of reading carbon copy "I'm never gonna buy apple again" fake reports like a lot of the ones here:The weird noise reduction "feature" makes the images look worse in a lot of instances.A lot of 6 users are mad that their phones are deficient in a few areas, and that is understandable, however they shouldn't be in denial lol.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).There are a lot of bad people out there and I agree it's sad we rank among the highest countries in crime.Call the iPhone 6 or 6+ GPU as "inferior" tell me a lot about how much do you understand on the matter..... Maybe he has a defective iPhone....I am sure A LOT of people are tired of the unfair prices of a bad valued service. You'll find that a lot of the people who HAVE worked their way through hardship to get to a better life are the ones with the least sympathy for those who prefer to whine about how unfair the world is when their bad decisions come home to roost.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...I wasn't insinuating that people don't want a larger phone a lot do (the 6+ is perfect for them probably) but a lot were happy with the compactness of 4-5s as well and they shouldn't be disregarded as you go on to point out.I don't have any backlight bleeding, no dead pixels, perfect home button, good battery...a lot of which would be worse on a replacement phone. You want a lot of unhappy customers ...... read the 10069 messages thread of unhappy AT&T pre-order customersTHINGS I WONT MISS: The battery life: The battery life on a lot of android phones are generally not that great, and seeing as Samsung can't make a nice OS skin if they tried, I'm not going there. My mom couldn't fit the Plus in a lot of her pants and my dad's hand got tired using the device. What I find annoying with the Touch ID/Passcode is that if you try and delete an email from the lockscreen, it then brings up the keypad for your passcode, and then goes back to the lockscreen...makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome.Scammers have a lot of tricks from sending money from bad bank accounts that somehow clear into your account, to returning a different phone back and claiming you sent them a bad product, to just shipping back rocks AND PAYPAL SIDES 99% WITH BUYER NO MATER WHAT.The plus owners will think " i thought im going to watch a lot of movies and playing games with this thing, but 90% of the usage actually chatting and soc med and this thing is so big and annoying it's very hard to use with one hand, i should have got the 6 instead damn!!!"I know quite a few couples that have downgraded and are a lot happier for it: no longer having to deal with annoying texts, facebook requests, weird phone glitches due to overcomplicated software, much better battery life, much lower bills, etc.The only thing that could cause that bad of battery life is if you're in an area with really bad coverage and it's doing a lot of searching\low-bar data...I tried my luck and waited for 45 minutes the agent i got was pretty cool but he told there was nothing he can do about it and that all orders are getting expedited, i don't know if its true but he told me that he have received a lot of calls about from people with shipping dates November + including himself; anyway if i can get 6 plus locally at a fair price i might bite and cancel the pre-order, the sad part is my first order got cancel with a "nice" 7-10 days shipping but my new one is 3-4 weeks lol.I have seen a lot better mock ups and i think the mock ups looked way better.****** i highly suggest one card for express check out in app as the system gets really buggy + slow the more clicks you need to do, if any way to use one card i would try.....they state a gift card issued by credit card co but given the wording i would assume that it would be ok for two credit cards i know a lot of online merchants like the top dept stores will only allow one credit card but mutiple store gift cards, you may want to send a quick note under a different email just to confirm as apple is quite strict.... in worse case you could get the gift card from one of the credit cards and that will def work, good luck!Yes I will get iphone 6 because I rely a lot on iOS, but apple has always been about clean simplistic design, these antenna bands are horrible and go against their previous product designs.I see a lot of posts saying service was as bad or worse than expected. This is a bad situation that a lot of people like the OP who are ignorant of the way tmobile operates find themselves in.There are clearly trade offs in smart phone cameras, but a lot of credible reviews rank the 5s camera at the top of the heap overall.I was basically saying that the lag when switching between home screens is almost non existent but the app loading time was a LOT worse on the s5 it was shockingof the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedit was definitely my phone that had a bad vibrator in it, got it replaced, it is not as loud my 5, but it is certainly louder and also a lot stronger, I'm happy with it not, i can finally here my phone go off when it not on me or on my deskI bought my daughter a new iPod touch 5th gen today and wow it seems like a lot more quality control is going on there cuz it's flawless it's beautiful not a mark but give it a few months right lolThe same with this damned music app, which tends to crash every hour, that's extremely annoying, in my opinion Despite this, safari crashes also a lot, but it's bearable, though not nice.Things can be a lot less flexible here and you're unlikely to get anything no matter how nice you are.I almost went in for the Samsung Galaxy4 when it came out because i really liked the larger screen and the android widgets..What held me back was a outright pathetic feel of the phone (I thought it was too fragile, and I hated the leather cover)...If Samsung does come out with a metal unibody for the GS5 (along with other improvements and/or additions) I see a lot of people like myself contemplating switching (even if the devise is still inferior to the ip5 in terms of build quality)...So i hope for my sake that apple comes out with a larger screen (Around 4.7-4.8 would work best for me) as I really do not want to break the apple chain (Have had every iphone till date)..I actually had my iPhone 5 replaced today which had the same issue but it was replaced because it was getting noticeably worse service and there was a lot of dust in the camera lens which was throwing off pictures and also the phone was dropping service but anyway, my battery drain is gone, plus especially on "4G" not LTE, its not draining even close to as bad as before even with only 1-3 dots of serviceJust because Apple held off this generation doesn't mean the NFC tech isn't awesome or worth discussing and a lot of the scenarios for NFC are user created.
motion
I have a 6 plus and it is completely smooth, (I do have Reduce Motion on though) I went from a 6 to a 6 plus and honestly i am beyond happy and satisfied and gratified and everything i switched from a 6 to a Plus, it is alot better in my eyes... the screen is incredible, the battery life is stupendous.. i just enjoy the Plus so much more then the 6, and I dont think the Plus is too big at all, its nice and thin and pretty light.Nice video, yeah the time lapse quality is great, better than the slow motion which on mine seems off, not as sharp.I just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes.Creative applications (motion or still editing, music making and artistry, DJs and musicians...even productivity with iWork and 'fun' with the free iLife suite, as well as Microsoft's Offoce suite) and aggregation with your Mac, iPad and other iOS devices is the compelling & reasonable argument to make the change.I'm actually quite happy with my iPhone 5, and since I'll be paying less once out of contract, will probably hang onto it a bit longer than I normally would (unless the iPhone 6 is AMAZING or something) I may actually upgrade to a used 5s once the 6 comes out, because I want that motion processor and TouchID.Going into accessibility settings and toggling Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast to on seemed to make it more tolerable performance wise. There's also a thread dedicated to slow motion videos but I don't have the link handy.
fingerprint
At some point, it becomes, "I'm tired of not having the fingerprint authentication," instead of "The fingerprint authentication will be so nice!"Camera is great, and the fingerprint sensor is awesome. And the switch to the A7 with phenomenal performance and 64bit architecture (with the A8 instruction set and new GPU), DDR 3 RAM (w/a 4mb 'on die SoC' buffer), fingerprint scan system second to none and a wicked camera (1080p is truly amazing, still capture is definitely a well refined with an awesome and perfect for sensor size 8mp, f2.2 with 10fps full Rez bursts as long as you hold the shutter down), continued progression of their IPS display technology and implementation..the 5s is AS good as ANY of the flagship Android 2014 handsets.I didn't see the point in taking a further loss to move up to a 5s, even though I do think the fingerprint sensor is handy, and the camera improvements would be "nice to have".*hey let's post about my nice wonderful fast, reliable brand new Nexus 5 smartphone running Google's mobile operating system Android 4.4.2 KitKat...in a thread about iPhone fingerprint sensor* Just seems desperately out of place to me, that's all.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performancePeople were screaming " give us bigger screens blah fingerprint sensor isn't spectacular blah" and now people are screaming " why are the new iPhones big wee the 5s is too big for my pocket"...the screen is bigger, but the only place i noticed it was in angry birds where all the angles were wrong... :-/ but by far is the fingerprint security option, and by this i mean that for the past 2 years i turned off the passcode option as I'm just not that issued with people i know having access to my phone, but was a "little" worried if i lost it, but the fingerprint option is awesome, full lock, but a 2 second thumbprint and its unlocked.Yes, I'm absolutely concerned about these things... but for the purposes of this thread, I for one am more gobsmacked that of all of these other things that the OP should be worried about, he instead has chosen to fixate on a rather absurd one: he wants to disable the fingerprint reader on a device which can be used to collect insidious data, and buying said device - the option which is most effective - is an option he finds acceptable.

The plastic cover has perfect fit & finish and crucially, not only does it allow access to the removable battery, but most people would have it covered by a case. This colored plastic adds a slight amount of thickness to the paperclip, making it a much tighter fit (if it will even fit at all).I'm pretty confident I can do that to a 5, 5S ... and majority of popular smart phones out there ... (though plastic would probably crack) ... that doesn't seem like a real world test ...I just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes.I'm happy with the plastic, its a great phone.Black and also have a black Lunatik Taktik Extreme case - looks soooooooooo sexy Would have got a black Samsung S5 but they look soooooooooo ugly now with their imitation plastic chrome surroundSo I upgraded to the Note 3 and...alright it was a pretty fast phone, but I still couldn't stand the excessive cheap plastic everywhere.Fit a 2400 mah battery into the iPhone 6 and I'll be happy PLASTIC ISN'T THAT BAD Don't be afraid to design a more durable iPhone in plastic -- the 5c is actually the best iPhone to hold, while remaining sleek and beautiful with its unibody design -- there's nothing wrong with that. The 5C make a bold statement, though it's plastic it has a lot to offer and I kind of like that.I prefer the plastic and am happy with the fact that they provide beautiful colors. So plastic is not cheap when it is used on iPhone but cheap when used on non apple phones.I didn't like the idea of plastic or of the bright colors at first, I'm pretty happy with a nice sleek black and I love the feel of the aluminum, but reading everyone's posts is starting to make me wish I had an upgrade soon!Yellow is sweet bt that blue still looks great, at apple store in Newcastle tomorrow so looking forward to seeing a green Another point this feels great in the hand, its more like ceramic than plastic! The plastic looks incredible ugly and cheap.Damn, sorry *Mods please delete this thread if you get a chance I'll take your word for it...but to play devils advocate, one could argue that the softer aluminum when hit very hard creates a sharp internal edge which could puncture the softer Li-Ion battery that apple uses where as cheap quality plastic phones with removable backplates tend to have hard plastic battery housings....I I think in this case it doesn't matter what phone the guy had, same result would have happened due to the force upon impact resulting in what you described. Not sure why you would want to model after the Note 4, considering they took the design off of the iPhone 5 and stuck a fake, fake leather (or plastic) back on it.Other than using cheap plastic that can bend back into shape, I don't know what the answer would be, and I really don't want a nice phone made out of cheap plastic. The back gives off a complete cheap and plastic vibe and it looks and feels worse in hand.Just because someone points out flaws in a device doesn't make them jealous lol... by your logic, Apple fanboys are all jealous of Samsung's plastic phones.Plastic......now that feels cheap, metals, glass, aluminum........that doesn't feel cheapI'm in a similar boat, coming to the end of my 2 year contract with my 5 and I was all set and excited for the 6 but once I tried one in the store, I just wasn't happy with the way it felt in my hand, and now I'm thinking that I might just stick with my 5, it's still just as speedy as ever and just feels nice in my hand, I mean, that new screen is nice and all but I'm not sure it's really worth the money, maybe I'll cave eventually but I'm thinking I'll wait for the 6S and hope they make the camera lens flush again, and remove the silly plastic lines on the back.I'm not talking about bend gate lol... but aluminum metal will always trump plastic fake weird leather.Multiple errors in that pathetic article, amongst many calling the Galaxy S4 'new' when its over a year old and even has a successor, and calling the S4 metal friendly, it isn't, it is plastic. That plastic and fake leather (with real fake stitches to boot!)take 3 tampons wrap it around your wee wee and warp that around a leak proof plastic bag... portable toilet! We thought we could rip off customers by selling a $600 cheap plastic version of our nice phones, but no one would buy them."from best to worst in my opinion: 4/4S > 5/5S > original 2G > 6/6+ > 5C > 3G/3GS The plastic backs just don't do it for me, and the massive bulge of the 3G combined with the fake chrome rim around the front...ugh.Ugly antenna plastic piece, and camera sticking out like sore thumb. Those thick plastic antenna breaks stick out like a sore thumb and look cheap...and nasty.Went in to Telecom to upgrade my Samsung galaxy nexus to a Samsung galaxy s5 and was sooooooooo disgusted at the horrible cheap nasty imitation plastic chrome edge and nasty plastic case that I got the iphone 5s instead. Some people receive their phones with a bad bezel, while others have bad batteries that expand pushing the screen away from this plastic bezel.I don't like it because is made like any other Samsung phone, with cheap plastic (faux leather with faux stitches, what a tawdry solution ...), bad aesthetics and a bloated software above the operative system. It's just that Apple decided to be ****ing greedy and axe the 5 because they could either a) make more profit off a cheap plastic than more premium materials or b) make people so disgusted with the color options available that they were swayed to buy the more expensive 5s.Personally, I feel like the ugly plastic border around the screen on the iPhone 4/4s made the whole phone feel cheap.Again, it feels like a cheap plastic toy with a defective button! But after taking the plastic off the back, the space doesn't come off and I'm afraid to try too hard for fear of just making it worse.
bigger screens
functionality
And only the note added some functionality worth of changing my mac environment (imac, MBA, ipad retina, ipod classic, iPhone 5s) I managed to integrate android almost seamlessly and discovered it is a great os and learned quite a few things.I even like the protruding camera, because to me it is a sign that apple didn't cheap out on the camera to make the design perfect, and that is a step closer to them not prioritizing design over functionality.I was lucky enough to get a phone with brilliant battery life in comparison to my two prior faulty iPhone 5's (not replaced due to battery - the first due to busted speaker in the ear piece, plus dirt under camera lens, the second due to no phone functionality working at all).- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; (b) using the Service or Device to engage in unlawful activity, or in conduct that adversely affects our customers, employees, business, or any other person(s), or that interferes with our operations, network, reputation, or ability to provide quality service, including but not limited to the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or "denial of service" attacks; (c) using the Service as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (d) tampering with or modifying your T-Mobile Device; (e) "spamming" or engaging in other abusive or unsolicited communications, or any other mass, automated voice or data communication for commercial or marketing purposes; (f) reselling T-Mobile Devices for profit, or tampering with, reprogramming or altering T-Mobile Devices for the purpose of reselling the T-Mobile Device; (g) using the Service in connection with server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients, "bots" or similar routines that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality; (h) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, T-Mobile's or another entity's network or systems; (i) running software or other devices that maintain continuously active Internet connections when a computer's connection would otherwise be idle, or "keep alive" functions (e.g.
unlock
Swiftunlocks never guaranteed the unlock would be permanent as far as I can remember (and it was cheap), so I'm not really frustrated--but it does illustrate to me that: 1.watch out for "iPhone for life" if you terminate your agreement you must pay ALL future device payments and then you have to either hand them your phone or you have to take their purchase option so for example if i lease an iPhone 6 64 gb for $25 a month and i have 21 months left, i have to surrender my iPhone PLUS pay them $525 i guess the purchase option would be another $224 i am sick of people calling this deal a rental going around and making sure all the various news sites telling you how bad the iPhone 4 life program is almost as futile of trying to destroy every last copy of Star Wars the Holiday Special if i pay the future device payments plus take the purchase option, i bet i still won't get an unlockUsed sndeep service to check it and this is what I got: Model: IPHONE 6 SPACE GRAY 64GB TMOBILE-USA IMEI: 3520XXXXXXXXXX MEID: Serial Number: F1XXXXXXXXXXXXX ICCID: Bluetooth MAC Address: XXXXXXXXXXXXX WiFi MAC Address: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Activated: false Next Tether Activation Policy: Multi-Mode Unlock Original Carrier: Multi-Mode Unlock Network Unlocked: false So, it looks like as soon as the phone can dial into Apple, the unlock will happen if I understand this report correctly.think twice about sprint, their the worst carrier in the states, very unfriendly towards consumers, harsh unlock policies, terrible 3G speeds (below 500kbps) you'll be better off with a MVNO using at&t infrastructure like a gsm version of straight talkSo your outrage over the unlock policy (and I get it because it's draconian and stupid) is strange considering that you want to STAY on the Sprint network. You need to delete this post ... Unlock fusion IS LEGIT and provides great service ... And I don't know him but I'm happy cuz my AT&T contract will be cancelled tomorrow... Hello tmobile
sense
Emotionally, it may make sense, but financially its a terrible terrible decision for a depreciating discretionary item.Makes sense but damn that is sad to hear :cry:I'm more than happy to keep this little nifty for another 2 years then upgrade to whatever is making sense at that time. But contrary to what the shift lead told me, I'm still kind of buying his switcharoo "hassle" process because it makes sense to me (at least for right now).doesn't make sense to have that kind of bend on a large device, unless you are wearing a 50inch tight jeans that can fit an iphone6+ horizontally.Never had a bad experience but I use common sense and am not paranoid.I think that using sapphire glass is a brilliant idea, making the screen so that it doesn't scratch is great business sense for Apple, they make a phone where you don't need a screen protector and they can bump up the price to compensate. The apps are great, and when you have other Apple products it just makes sense to have an iPhone, they play great together!Nice, totally makes perfect sense.A std 4" and a 4.7; no sense in annoying the faithful when you can make both camps happy.I would think having a 128GB phone and only needing less than 16GB would be more of a reason to be ashamed... And even then, doesn't make sense to be ashamed.I simply asked a question and now I'm getting **** on for doing so for one I'm not a troll and my canadian sense of humor is just fine, this is the worst forum I've ever been on just awful mean ppl on here now a days!!!!!They looked weird in the leak images of backs with no front attached but make perfect sense in the context of a complete iPhone. It makes no sense to attach "gate" to any word to automatically infer that it means a scandal, and this whole thing can get rather annoying and tiresome.Example: Angry Birds 2009 - 18mb file size Angry Birds 2014 on a larger screen iPhone 6 - 72mb 3.2mp camera 0.4~mb VGA video 1 minute 33mb 8.0mp camera 1.7~mb 1080 video 1 minute 142mb I hope my question made sense..It makes total sense for Apple to respond to this market, and it's the perfect timing since Samsung isn't enjoying the great success as it used to.For that, I am VERY disappointed in Apple that they would spend so much time on fit and finish yet overlook something like this - it just doesn't make sense...
option
but the heavy JPEG compression....they need to set the compression to the least setting so you get or have the option for bigger JPEG's (like the setting DSLR's have)...wouldn't mind a RAW setting but don't see that anytime soon :P PNG's would be nice (strange for live images but still lossless).IF you get lucky, the blue shirt will go to his/her manager and speak about it... the manager will then come over to you and say, yes we can cancel the 2 year contract and you'll have to wait for your upgrade eligibility to kick back in, which generally takes 5-10 mins... if you cancelled twice, you're SOL as it locks the upgrade and you'll have to call AT&T and they'll have to call some other to have it restored which will take 3-5 business days... to avoid that, if you're on a family plan, I'd suggest you pre-order with another line thats not looking to upgrade right away... that way your upgrade is available right away and theres no waiting around... if you're the only line, I'd suggest you log into your AT&T mobile app and keep refreshing the upgrade eligibility page until you see it kick in... once they cancel the 2 year contract, theres an option for the NEXT or you can purchase the phone "device only" which means you pay for the phone completely, right there... again, I've experienced stores where they will flat out tell you they cant do such a thing, blah blah blah, cancelling will put the phone back into their online pre-order batch, which is BS... you just need to get lucky and have a blue shirt willing to do it for you...If anyone is looking for a wallet/wristlet option for the 6+, I found that the wallet is a completely perfect fit for mine even when it's in the apple leather case.Very happy with my choice, and I definitely feel the silver is the most attractive option this time around. It's kind of a pain that they gave us the option of moving all the icons including those in the dock to the next screen, but then we have to keep staring at the dock.Apple probably has data on how much used space and therefore keeping that option is smart money if the benefit of upgrading would only make a few people happy and keep most from upgrading to second tier. That being said, the nice thing for Apple to do after years of proclaimining they had mobile phone operation "figured out" and that 3.5-4" was the "perfect size" would have been to at least offer one as an OPTION.Granted it costs 5 bucks, it was nice to have that option and can come in handy if you know you won't be home during certain hours and don't want your package to be left at door or if its signature required. For those that have tried the printable templates, make sure you haven't got a "scale to fit" or "fit to page" option set when printing.Having a FAST LTE on a plan that is not unlimited can be problematic so it would be nice to have Sprint as an option (of course assuming you are in a Sprint LTE service area). The so called compelling evidence could just be the case that Apple have told manufacturers that this option exists now to get headphones on the market for the launch and isnt compelling at all that they are dumping the normal jack. The bold font selection is a nice option.I'd love to see like the post above some form of waterproofing so that I'm not afraid to use my iPhone in the rain also and I've sent this suggestion to apple, a small translucent ring around the home button that has a pulsating ring of light for missed calls, messages, email etc if not then a led somewhere for the same purpose, a smart wifi option so it switches off once you leave your home wifi and will come back on once your home or it can remember where other wifi locations are and switch back on once you get to that area.It seems Google have gone for the half-arsed 'force text to fit the screen' option rather than the more elegant 'load the page in a readable format from the word go' that Apple takes.watch out for "iPhone for life" if you terminate your agreement you must pay ALL future device payments and then you have to either hand them your phone or you have to take their purchase option so for example if i lease an iPhone 6 64 gb for $25 a month and i have 21 months left, i have to surrender my iPhone PLUS pay them $525 i guess the purchase option would be another $224 i am sick of people calling this deal a rental going around and making sure all the various news sites telling you how bad the iPhone 4 life program is almost as futile of trying to destroy every last copy of Star Wars the Holiday Special if i pay the future device payments plus take the purchase option, i bet i still won't get an unlockAnd moving isn't an option, kind of hard to just pick up and move when the Army gets to say where I work. They will mostly likely do both, launch app and have it float in the middle of the screen with black bars surrounding and then a stretch to fill screen option like the iPad, honestly the stretch wouldn't look bad since when the iPad did it to the 3.5 inch iPhone apps it still looked ok, I doubt a .7inch increase would be horrible. As well: 128 gb option 5 inch screen Thicker, with twice the battery life Other than that, hardware wise, I can't think of anything else that I really really want that apple would ever implement (SD card and removable battery come to mind as nice options, but don't see that ever happening).the screen is bigger, but the only place i noticed it was in angry birds where all the angles were wrong... :-/ but by far is the fingerprint security option, and by this i mean that for the past 2 years i turned off the passcode option as I'm just not that issued with people i know having access to my phone, but was a "little" worried if i lost it, but the fingerprint option is awesome, full lock, but a 2 second thumbprint and its unlocked.Yes, I'm absolutely concerned about these things... but for the purposes of this thread, I for one am more gobsmacked that of all of these other things that the OP should be worried about, he instead has chosen to fixate on a rather absurd one: he wants to disable the fingerprint reader on a device which can be used to collect insidious data, and buying said device - the option which is most effective - is an option he finds acceptable.I might not have been so eager to switch had Google not gotten rid of their EAS option, but since they did I didn't have much heartburn about moving my services to iCloud, especially after I bought a MacBook. So I wouldn't completely rule out the option of defective aluminium or bad assembly causing strong pressure from the inside of the phone. My phone is a 3G not the 3gS Ability to transfer data via bluetooth (admittedly, i don't use bluetooth that often but it would be nice to have the ability to do so) 5 items on the dock instead of 4 (i had my phone jailbroken for awhile -not anymore- and really loved that option) Ability to open .ICS events natively especially when I'm traveling and my phone is the only option for email checking (i do not have an exchange account or mobileme) Flash (yeah, i know, extremely unrealistic given Jobs' comments about Flash not terribly long ago) An earlier post mentioned a drop-down on the home screen for wi-fi options, i.e, the same function available on the Mac desktop.
glass
- not sure if that's policy, but nice of the Apple genius to declare "Cosmetic conditions: out of box" for a phone with microscratches "visible at an off angle without looking for them" and a nail-catching dent in the glass As for the added disclaimer to the thread, I know it may sound paranoid or obnoxious but you gotta draw a line somewhere, otherwise it becomes extremely hard to draw conclusions based on this kind of thread. The curved glass, thin unibody metal body, gorgeous display, and amazing battery life.I like them too, it actually looks good IMO, if it was all just metal'ed out it wouldnt look as good I dont think, Also call me crazy but I actually do like the slight camera protrusion too with the nice beautiful darkish gray gunmetal ring that surrounds the camera, covered in sapphire lens glass, its beautiful IMO..I agree that the icons are still ugly, but the rest of the OS is beautiful, especially the frosted glass effect. They are scratch resistant, just not scratch proof, I am pretty sure "iom-strengthed glass" is just another name for Gorilla Glass i got my 6 screen covered in Ghost Armor clear screen protector....I love this screen protector, perfect cutouts, perfect size, fits the whole glass display, had a guy at the kiosk did it, no air bubbles at all anywhere, complete clean and clear installation, it is flawless and you cant even tell sometimes that there actually is a screen protector thats how well installed it was(guy at the kiosk did it, put it in a heat box, popped all remaining other air bubbles/pushed them out) I feel very safe and secure with this Ghost Armor protector lol I know it will hold up great and absorb alot of scratches over time instead of my screen Honestly , literally there is not much you can do to protect your screen without a screen protector, a OCD guy like me, where i never keep anything in my pocket with my phone but my phone, where I am always shaking off my pockets to get all lint/sand out before I put my phone in there so nothing can scratch it in my pocket, blowing on my phone sometimes throughout the day to get dust/lint off of it from my pocket, and being very careful where I place my phone (Never in a car cup holder etc) and even doing all this, all my smartphones that I had owned even with care like this, I always still end up finding micro scratches on the screen build up over the months, doesn't affect actual screen display like i dont see rainbow lines or anything like that, but still micro scratches all over the display, it is almost impossible to guard from really with no screen protector you honestly can't do nothing about it and it's not "cheap Apple" , its just not sapphire glass display lol.True I've never had a glass one, but I just feel weird about covering up something I paid a lot for that feels nice, and I worry about air bubblesHaving owned a caboodle of high tech equipment, and being what you may call an OCD when it comes to keeping my equipment in perfect looking condition, I've learned a thing or two on how I should properly take care of my precious devices, specially ones with glass on them.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc. This site is driving me crazy I can't keep coming here and obsessing on WHEN WILL I GET MY PHONE I'm not getting a damn thing done On the bright side I do have a fancy new iPhone 6 Plus CASE I can carry around and fantasize about what it might be like to carry around a real phone Maybe I should just go get a big 'ol magnifying glass to make my 5s look bigger in the mean time Oh and my wife - she thinks we all are crazy tracking every baby step our phones are taking from conception to delivery out the birth canal We are by the way .Little touches such as the Lockscreen accent colors changing to the wallpaper are beautiful, the Dialer ring colors accenting to the frosted glass look of the background are perfect touches.Didn't think this new design would be a big deal, but damn the tapered glass edges sure feel nice when swiping forward and back between web pages and whatnotGold 5S looked beautiful, it's the combination with the glass that makes it so attractive.A lot of people thought the glass panels on the back of leaked iPhone 5 pictures was really ugly, but most people now think the iPhone 5/5S looks great.I think that the iPhone 6 design is absolutely amazing and incredible, how thin it is and all the technology its gonna be packed in it with that build quality (aluminum/sapphire glass screen or synthetic sapphire) Thing looks absolutely beautiful if leaks are true, its gonna be a absolute joy to hold and use and look atI think that using sapphire glass is a brilliant idea, making the screen so that it doesn't scratch is great business sense for Apple, they make a phone where you don't need a screen protector and they can bump up the price to compensate. However the counter to that is while an absolute perfect Gorilla Glass screen may be less likely to shatter when dropped it must remain absolutely flawless.I use a Speck case with mine which has done more than its fair share of saving my bacon and happy to report that only just last week when I decided to give my phone a good cleaning and inspection that the Black/Slate finish is perfect and even the rear glass inserts are intact. My co worker had a cracked screen that was so bad the glass pieces were cutting her fingers and she had scotch tape at the worst place to stop the cuts I was on eBay one night and saw a cheap screen replacement and bought it for her - replaced it at my lunch time for her while she went to get us lunch She would have never repaired it had I not done it myselfAs much I love the feel of my iPhone 6 plus naked with its curved glass it's too damn slippery and I'm afraid I'll drop it and shatter it.Plastic......now that feels cheap, metals, glass, aluminum........that doesn't feel cheapThe thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.It is truly a very small improvement over the worst glass to use and is really a necessity since soda-lime glass without treatment would be the worst disaster ever in Apple-land.Bear in mind that photos of these type of screen protectors on a white iPhone (like above) will make it look worse as the light refracts against the White glass screen and makes the edges look really bad.I have realised that the glass around the home button is not as perfect a fit as my 5S.Rumor has it that every single person that tried to leak the Apple Watch went mad and ended up tearing up the sapphire glass in order to find the source of the beating of that hideous heart.i dont see how they could be worse than those ugly glass breaks we currently have on the back. It's pretty ugly and worse looking that the glass back of the iphone 4 (which incidentally is much easier and cheaper to replace--$15 or so).The screen is too small, now it's too big It's too heavy, now it's too light and feels cheap The glass back breaks too easily, the aluminum back is terrible If I take keys to my phone it scratches.I'm not sure what kind of case I'll get-probably an invisishield for the front/back and possibly a bumper-although I hate cases on phones I'm a bit paranoid with all the broken glass photos popping up.

If you're happy with the phone, and its not defective, I see no reason why it should be returned.Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfNo one wants to be stuck with this kind of debt, it is a perfect reason for suppliers or parties responsible for changing the composition slightly to strengthen the frame to be "hush hush".I have never encountered a single reason worth the effort and none of the things you mentioned sound worthwhile."That said, I'm really confident that supply is going to be great and that's the reason you see incredibly strong guidance that we're giving [for next quarter]."Another nice reason is the typing on the Plus is phenomenal. That was the reason (as we all know In this factory by the sea) That the sidewalk so dark and hard Shattered and killed my iPhone 33 But his service was faster by far than the service Of phones who were older than he Of many far slower than he And neither the angels in factories above Nor the sidewalks down under the sea Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful iPhone 33 For my phone never rings without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful iPhone 33 And so all the night-tide I lie down by the side Of my darling-my darling I weep and I cry In the factory there by the sea On the sidewalk down by the seaActually - for a case like mine with a lip over the front, the screen protector is great cause its "case friendly" for that reason.I guess my point is: it sucks if you've had a bad experience, but for the overwhelming majority, customer service/support is a very large reason why Apple retains so many customers. As someone stated below is the perfect reason, we all have choices and budgets, as I stated for reasons as asked by the OP, but all measure up to this statement below in bold! Not mad that I have to go 2 hrs away cause it gives m reason to ride my bike on a beautiful day.Meanwhile I understand the reason (only now Apple is confident to produce something decent in the sizes they do) and am delighted about my iPhone 6!i m happy enough... he was also pretty nice an hour later when i called in apple for the same reason for my friend, the other rep just told me that apple is not giving free stuff for no reasons... so yea, i ended up getting free cases from apple, and now i m perfectly fine with waiting my phones to arrive at oct. 1..For the same reason that, for some people, a BMW or a Mercedes is worth the extra money over a Honda, an iPhone is worth the extra money over an Android.I could have played The Great Carnac and predicted that the 6 camera was going to be the same way, but had other things going on... Those that seek to romp around free from encumbrance (naked) might find this a reason to buy at least a small case of some kind...That kind of confusion and bait-and-switch moving target pricing is the exact reason why I hate contracts and subsidized plans.Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed camping out because I was the only one who upgraded but a few of my friends joined me and the atmosphere of everyone there socializing and kind of there for the same reason was rather nice. You can disagree all you want to defend your desire to not be viewed as vain or superficial, but there's a reason why people went crazy over the 5S in gold (just as an example). The point the people that actually have thought the issue through are making (instead of the ones talking about how "nice" it would be and why Apple "should" just because costs have come down and it would make them happy) is that Apple has NO reason to do this.No thank u - verizon is where I will be - my main reason for moving was pricing - Tamara made that a non issue I am happy it is over - checked the Att acct this morning and it is with a zero balance and closed - and it will remain that wayIf you all have great service with TMO it might be worth it to stick with them for that reason. It's like a damn civil war for no damn reason. The reason for calibrating by turning in a circle or waving in a figure 8, is that in a perfect world, the readings would form a perfect circle or sphere.Glad I never paid that for my Sealed 1st Gen. Reason I bought it because it was such a great price. The only reason you would want more pixels is for cropping, but the aforementioned drawbacks are so bad that it's a terrible compromise to make. The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironyIt is a great phone but after a couple of days I could not use it anymore because of a strange reason: pain in my eyes after max.My whole point was that the reason why Android has such a huge marketshare is because of cheap Android devices , and that basically any OEM can just make a cheap 1GB , 5 megapixel shooter with a simple old dual core and stick 4.1/4.2 on it and sell it for really cheap which is a fact.At the time I had no idea what his reason could have been but dishonesty always troubles me and only bad things seem to follow and I felt that we had time to stop the whole thing from getting ugly.I would think having a 128GB phone and only needing less than 16GB would be more of a reason to be ashamed... And even then, doesn't make sense to be ashamed. For some reason I always think its really sad when I see such a beautifully designed device that is as large as a tablet/phablet but only 16GB...your going to be constantly clearing room....do yourself a favor because in the long run it will help and you might regret it far after the 14 or 30 days you get it...so many people I know regret getting the 16GB model....I feel almost bad!It would be annoying and there maybe a reason they don't do that, but it would do the same thing without majorly upsetting users of Apple Pay/Google Wallet/ISIS, etc.So the reason you rejected this picture: in favour of these two: was because the second two were close ups - not because by themselves they make it appear that relatively minor bending which probably shouldn't have hurt the battery had caused an iPhone to catch fire, as opposed to the first image which shows the damage to actually be so catastrophic that it would almost certainly have resulted in a smashed battery making leakage and ignition just about inevitable on any phone.Well I got my phone replaced on Monday so here it is: Battery (6 Plus) CycleCount: 0 DesignCapacity: 2855 FullChargeCapacity: 3000 Status: Success BatteryCurrentCapacity: 100 BatteryIsCharging: false ExternalChargeCapable: true ExternalConnected: true FullyCharged: true GasGaugeCapability: true However I kind of feel like my battery is draining for some reason.Get a cheap dumb phone for your emegrency calls, and get an ipad ..voice of reasonUPS is sometime lazy about updating over the weekend for some strange reason. Here's the reason why: I went to a Best Buy and tried to put a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 into any of my clothes pockets--talk about not fitting many pockets and just looking/feeling awkward even if it fits!So if you've never posted anything sarcastic or rude or made someone on here feel like an idiot for no reason, then you're not one of the people I'm talking about.RAM is very cheap these days, so just cost is not a great reason. The cheap iphone deals on street corners are cheap for a reason.I would never touch a iP4 because the microphone is TERRIBLE and that is the real reason SIRI was never allowed - voice recognition was impossible with such a cheap mic - so if you actually need to be understood when talking to someone you need at least a iP4s, which had a mic system leaps and bounds better and was the first iphone that didn't make you sound like you were being choked underwater to the other party. The circumstances under which someone buys a phone with a bad ESN without inquiring of the carrier to determine its status may provide ample reason to call into question the ethics of the seller or the buyer, but the likelihood of a strong correlation between a bad ESN and harmful viruses or malware is slight.ditto to my previous comment The 32 gold 5s I had had a more reddish tint to it than my perfect 5 screen (neither with interlacing, I really can't believe first shot I got a good 5s I had terrible luck with the 5 for a while) but I returned it because I saw no reason to really sell my jailbroken 5 and fork over at least a couple of hundred to get the new one.I hate buyers remorse or defective phones (my current brand new phone is defective and I have to go take it in, reason I'm switching to the iphone soon.)So you'd have to have your phone turned on, unlocked AND not notice someone bump a gizmo against your phone, AND not notice that all of a sudden your browser opens to a page you've never seen before, with a "click me" download link on it, AND you click on it for some dumb reason AND then for another dumb reason, go find the downloaded file afterwards, AND click on AND agree to install it.

Glad the folks at the Apple store were more sensible and kind than many of the folks on this forum!I also purchased a basic phone as a second line.... Later in the day i got a phone call saying my card was declined..called and approved but at that point my order was pushed further in the que... waited and waited and nothing changed... until today and kept checking this forum to see where everyone was at....and after finally waiting for so long i gave up and was LUCKY enough to find a device at a Best Buy Mobile store via: idevicechecker.com I would definetely recommend it..got there wiht no line and got my new SILVER 128 gb plus...and I decided to stay with my carrier.. ATT customer service was worthless...they didn't know what they were talking about and was always getting the run around..ontop of that the LG basic phone I ordered was in stock but they never shipped it to me and its always says backordered.....I know that sounds so horribly obnoxious since you can't hear tone through a forum, but I promise it comes from a sincere place of pure ignorance to how these things are measured exactly. No worries, just keeping the forum nice & tidy is allIt is kind of funny to think of all of us on this forum going nuts, and we will lose interaction with each other in a week or two, but in the meantime, all of our phones are snuggled together on a pallet in a warehouse in Korea...I don't see it as bad as others on the forum have gotten and definitely not as bad as it has been on my 5s.Second, I find it hilarious that there seems to be some kind of belief among some on this forum that only people with big hands buy phablets.I have been reading this forum for weeks now and I am finally posting on here because I am so excited, yes... actually excited.Firstly, I know I will be critisised for starting another 'vs' thread, but come on - this is a forum, and none of the other threads I found were a perfect fit for this.I'm amazed at all the people on this forum who have acted like the 6+ is the greatest phone ever for the past 2 weeks and then act surprised when people ordered the 6+ and realized it wasn't for them.Feel free to sound off which version you are getting (including size) as I'm curious what the average on the forum will be Apple kind of threw us a curve ball by bumping the 2nd tier to 64gb but still keeping the paltry 16gb as the base model.I mean you are a snob if you think asking a question like that to "potential snobs" would help you get any meaningful insight..Although this is the best forum site(among all smartphone forums) to have an actually neutral and intelligent discussion, you should ask it on a general tech forum imo to know what the non-iphone owners think of those with iphones.I read this comment 1000 times on this forum about "I think 3.5" is the perfect size for a phone" then in 2012 "I think 4.0" is the perfect size for a phone" Now in 2014 "I think 4.7" is the perfect size for a phone."People are reading WAY to into this, it was an incident that happened to a phone, and I just shared my experience because I was lucky enough to have been able to catch it and just so happened to post on a forum that talks about this kind of stuff.I'm glad that people know some of this stuff on here, it shows how this forum, although is mostly just for fun, can also be an awesome source for interesting and helpful information like this2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:However, I think Ace134blue has done a great job and this is the kind of post that will make me come back to the forum.I suspect that even though some people simply got a bad Genius, many of the posters on this forum with bent iPhones that were denied a replacement phone were turned down due to their awful attitudes.I simply asked a question and now I'm getting **** on for doing so for one I'm not a troll and my canadian sense of humor is just fine, this is the worst forum I've ever been on just awful mean ppl on here now a days!!!!!Why we're discussing this on an Apple based forum on the Internet is that like Apple users can get together and talk about their experience with Apple products, good, bad, and ugly.I was a bit frustrated so maybe the title of the thread could have been better but its truly amazing to me how most people on this forum get so ******** over mentioning a competitor device. The other forum members twisted what he said and did into something different entirely that they could mock.I've been whining about this on this forum before this thread started, worried about whether this would happen and inquiring about rigid cases to help prevent this (and reading comments about how I don't need a case and why would I want to take away from the sleek beauty of the phone)...but even now - having predicted this - I'm bummed and not feeling as excited about the 6 Plus that should be arriving soon...and one last thing; do not give advice on this or any forum based on unfounded assumptions or wishful thinking, the internet is becoming overloaded with dubious information.Anyway...I am getting tired of ignorant people on this forum.I don't get why some people have to be so damn rude on this forum.I'd feel sad if a forum member got something they were really looking forward to and it didn't work out for them--not smug and pleased with myself.Be smart and try not to buy into a financially bad plan just cause you want the iPhone 6 or 6+...we all want it and thats why we are on this forum...but I stopped myself as this was not just a bad deal ...it is a very bad deal..... yeah, two brands notorious for their quality It is THAT sound, and very picky people on forum like this call it "rattle" like it was a maracas ....

Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfThis, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusFunny how I dislike it when it was introduced (ugly), but when I held one I fell in love.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKwould not trade it for another love the larger screen for these retired old eyes no "pocket problems" better Nav screen for the car great for videos great for surfing websites overall just a great improvement.... and I think it's interesting reading the posts that seem to think "everyone will see you have a large phone" hogwash - nobody so far has even noticed it - in the real world (outside forums) no one seems to give a damn what phone I have...LOLGreat post mate and im still loving mine, had a few snide comments at work about having a yellow phone but then caught the main one looking at new iphones on the web lol Still pick this thing up and love it, have gone white with 4, 4S and 5 but agree the black front totally works with the vibrant colours, white would just not give the same look im also amazed at the number of U turns from 5S back to 5C, love it, keep any more pics coming as love seeing them and it keeps this great thread going!come and take a close look my colorful cheaper phones, these are just for you.. also I have same model, no need to enter password just touch your with finger... you see.. ) i hope you forgot about big screen love.. why do you need such things, i know better then you.. this size is most ideal, just perfect.. you drive car when you use your phone, or do something when you are using your phone, it is best with only my phone ) but if you really wnat something big, I have even much bigger than what you want.I admit Siri is kind of sexy, but I'm a little concerned that you are in love with your phone.Your false bravado and incredulity are boring, and though it's hilarious that you're willing to declare the love you have for your 6 Plus out of one side of your mouth while out of the other judging people for buying devices made through what you deem child abuse and near-slave labor, falling back on tired "FOX News" insults just proves that you're a dime store talking head and not worth the time.Love of money ends up making a tech company boring as fsck and TC is boring as fsck.

Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )There is another thread on here with a guy who bought an aftermarket silver ring for his home button and his TouchID works perfect and it looks great for those interested...I love my Space Grey iPhone 6...sometimes I miss the Slate Black iPhone 5 color though, I'm sure they could have reformulated the paint to make it more scratch proof but that would've been harder...either way Space Grey looks great.I love the 5 series design, and I also love and appreciate the 6 design too, I love the sleek black look with the sides sloping off , it looks amazing IMO, With that being said I do wish their Space Gray model was a bit darker, now that would of looked awesome with the black front if the Space Gray is just a bit darkerBut think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...I was pretty sure I was sticking with my perfect all black 5....until I got a perfect space grey 6.I do think the space gray looks sleeker, but was afraid of scratches being more visible, and the silver looks too plain next to the bold colours of the other two choices. My wife's: Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Gold Production year: 2014 Production week: 36 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn) Mine: Nice Name: iPhone 6 (GSM/North America) Machine Model: iPhone7,2 Family name: A1549 Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 35 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 64GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn)Nice Name: iPhone 6 plus Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 plus Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 5.5 inch Screen resolution: 1920x1080 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 39 (October) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Factory: F2 (China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn) Nice Name: iPhone 6 Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 Generation: CPU speed: 1.4GHz Screen size: 4.7 inch Screen resolution: 1334x750 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 37 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 16GB Memory - flavour: xx Memory - maximum total: 1GB Factory: DN (China, Chengdu - Foxconn)It gives the iPhone great grip and the black/grey case looks great with the space grey iPhone! This year different story Replaced two iPhone 6 Plus 128gb gold (Third one was perfect) (Both phones had dust or dead/stuck pixels) Replaced one iPhone 6 128gb space grey (Second one was perfect) (First one had dead pixels.Glad I got my Space Gray launch day from Apple IMO, the gold 6+ is hideous but the gold 6 is actually really nice. It's nice to see some women here on the forums to talk about tech-y stuff with My Verizon Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus will be delivered today and I am SO excited! It really looks great on the my space gray 6+ The 6+ is just awesome.Funny enough, I had a space grey 6 plus on launch day........kept it for 4 days then returned it, loved it but found it to cumbersome when outside......used a friends 6 for a day........ Decided to order the 6 plus again! Also the ip6/6 Plus and their design and performance and camera and screens are just fantasic and amazing as a whole in the package , extremely top notch specs (ARMv8/64 Bit processor that is top notch performer on the market right now, extremely good front and back cameras, best LCD screens in a smartphone ever(Thats up to you if you prefer OLED over LCD or vice versa) amazing body design in my opinion, really good battery life) I love and adore the look of the new screens how they like overlap on the edges and it morphs into the edges for a nice smooth glide off feeling, (I have a Space gray iPhone 6 and I love so much how the black screen like morphs over the edges and consumes the phones front ) i think it looks much better then any phone out right nowBoth are very nice colours (both much nicer than gold in my opinion), though the space grey does appear more seamless. So glad the space gray is color matched... Looks sexy with the gray bands vs. black bands yuck. That said, I think the space gray looks great too, so either would be great.I'm glad I did it and I am so glad I held out for the Space Grey.Took my lunch hour to go pick it up and I am posting this with my brand new beautiful sexy iPhone 6 plus 64gb space gray!phone finally got here..and it is frikkin BEAUTIFUL....so glad i waiting out this torture..the phone is worth it...i got the 128 GB Space Gray...i was stuck in the 10/2-10/13 black hole for awhile too so to those of you who haven't received urs hang in there!I'm very confident the 6S plus (haha sounds funny) will be in a much better form factor and you better believe I'll jump to the extra screen space.May I take you up on your generous offer: 6+ 64GB Space Gray Verizon If possible, 128GB would be great, too 92584 Thank you!I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBVery happy with the 64GB 6 I got except Wish I got the 128GB due to lack of space for my photos hopefully iCloud Photo Library will fix this when it launches properly other wise very happy customer with the bigger screen better for web browsing and messagingNice Name: iPhone 6 plus Family name: Group1: iPhone Group2: 6 plus Generation: Screen size: 5.5 inch Screen resolution: 1920x1080 pixels Colour: Space Gray Production year: 2014 Production week: 35 (September) Model introduced: 2014 Capacity: 128GB Memory - and happy to have an iPhone again (and a black phone). My launch space grey is perfect, and I mean PERFECT.The space grey I see holding up better to the rigors of being careless with your phone, but on the other hand, if you are expecting anything to remain "flawless" you need to treat it accordingly. At the time I was disappointed but now I like the space grey and glad I have it.Keep you inform about any drift during next days ..... pocket
Nearly all my friends/family ripped me saying it was way too big, wouldn't fit in pockets very well etc, but I kept trying to explain to them that yes it was a bit big when sitting in the pocket, but it's only a minor inconvenience and it all fades away to insignificance when you actually use the phone as it's so lovely to use.Went from the 6 to the 6 Plus and am beyond absolutely happy and satisfied and glad that I did, no regrets at all and i am already used to the Plus now...the bigger screen and 1080p panel, the OIS, and espcially the noticeably better battery life of the Plus makes it feel like a big upgrade from past iPhones and a legit upgrade...I am absolutely in love with my Plus, if you dont mind a Note 3 sized phone/phablet , the Plus is the way to go, I promise you wont be let down The thinness and tapered edges makes this device great to hold in hand IMO, and keeps it slim and very tolerable and lighter and skinnier in pocket due to its form factor OIS is the smallest reason to upgrade to the 6 Plus, but OIS most certainly does help in low light and makes the Plus produce better images then the 6, you picked a bad few examples, OIS helps quite a bit in low light On a 6 Plus here, came from a 6 , and have noticed absolutely no difference in performance, both scream and peform blazing fast and give fantastic graphical details in games alongside with superb high frame rate, Vainglory looks and plays beyond amazing on my Plus I agree to this, 6 Plus performs just as blazing fast and stupdenously fast as the 6 I switched from which I had own for over a month and a halfAnd any pocket where the 5s will fit fine, the 6 will fit just fine too.I either need the smaller 6 or I wish that the 6+ was a bit bigger so that I can hold it the way I want to hold it....I was even thinking that my Kindle Paperwhite would be the perfect size phone for a big phone....seriously, my Kindle Paperwhite feels GREAT as a phone if it were a phone...it fits in my pocket and feels comfortable when I hold it to my head....hoping for a Kindle iPhone 7!There is no phone at all out there that is 6 inches screen and smaller then the Plus Im sorry to say...and the bezels are not bad at all on the Plus, the black front and curved edges makes the screen really beautiful actually, the bezels are not bad at all, although obviously they could of made it slimmer for a overall smaller device, But the thinness of the Plus and weight makes it the easiest phablet to hold and use after a long period of time, slim fit in the pocket, and noticeably thinner then just about every phablet out thereI typically wear slim fit Dockers which fit more loosely than the average blue jeans and I found myself having to remove the phone from my pocket if I was sitting down at the desk. This, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 PlusThat took away any kind of "won't fit in my pocket" issue.I hope by Christmas this will be cleared out so I can treat myself to a nice Christmas present It would be nice to know if those that have iPhone 6 and use it in the back pocket and even sit on it had any issues. The perfect form factor for a carry-in-your pocket phone is the Nexus 5 - a great Android phone. They can even post pictures after they sit on their phone and claim under the oath of the internet that it was always in their front pocket, in a case, and that they wear baggy microfiber pants because they are so terrified of bending their precious phone.what I find amazing is that after the success of Lewis bending video, which surely gave him some huge cash, nobody but nobody in this world came up with the idea of making a video of a straight iPhone 6 or 6 Plus being put in a pocket and then taken off it bent....by magic like all the bend cases we keep seeing on here....And if I had a big purse it would have to have a cellphone pocket that would keep my phone from moving around and other objects from moving around and hitting it.Another contributing factor was owning an iPad mini and using that along with my iP5S sitting on my couch thinking "Wouldn't it be nice to have something bigger than my phone, smaller than the mini and still fit in my pocket..." Tastes evolve and needs change.awesome, I always keep my phone in a dedicated pocket, I think with the apple leather case and applecare+, I will be fine without a screen protector awesome! They are scratch resistant, just not scratch proof, I am pretty sure "iom-strengthed glass" is just another name for Gorilla Glass i got my 6 screen covered in Ghost Armor clear screen protector....I love this screen protector, perfect cutouts, perfect size, fits the whole glass display, had a guy at the kiosk did it, no air bubbles at all anywhere, complete clean and clear installation, it is flawless and you cant even tell sometimes that there actually is a screen protector thats how well installed it was(guy at the kiosk did it, put it in a heat box, popped all remaining other air bubbles/pushed them out) I feel very safe and secure with this Ghost Armor protector lol I know it will hold up great and absorb alot of scratches over time instead of my screen Honestly , literally there is not much you can do to protect your screen without a screen protector, a OCD guy like me, where i never keep anything in my pocket with my phone but my phone, where I am always shaking off my pockets to get all lint/sand out before I put my phone in there so nothing can scratch it in my pocket, blowing on my phone sometimes throughout the day to get dust/lint off of it from my pocket, and being very careful where I place my phone (Never in a car cup holder etc) and even doing all this, all my smartphones that I had owned even with care like this, I always still end up finding micro scratches on the screen build up over the months, doesn't affect actual screen display like i dont see rainbow lines or anything like that, but still micro scratches all over the display, it is almost impossible to guard from really with no screen protector you honestly can't do nothing about it and it's not "cheap Apple" , its just not sapphire glass display lol.Unfortunately im rushed off my feet so much on the shop floor that I don't have time to rush back and forth my desk to use my iPad air, and it's too big to fit in my suit pocket, while the 6 Plus is big enough to do both jobs and is small enough to fit in my jacket pocket.I loved everything about it except for the fact that it felt super big in my pocket, it seemed heavy (kind of made my wrist sore) and that Otterbox didn't have any cases for it yet.The 6 is really nice because it feels like my 5s in my pocket, but I really miss the big screen and phenomenal battery life that the 6 plus had.Not defending Apple here however I do find it rather funny in your original thread you were like "omg i just pull phone out my pocket and its bended, i did nothing to cause it to bend/break" yet you end this opening post with "will get applecare+ just incase i drop it again" lol.... original thread ( ) this thread: funny guyNot one or two people with questionable reports but an overwhelming number of undeniable cases of pocket bent phones. That all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningAmazingly enough the Plus does fit in the front pocket of my baggy mom jeans that I wear most of the time I'm in my ordinary routine...even with a bulky case on it will fit, though I'll have to change the way I bend down to pick stuff up.The size isn't event that bad, but I'm just ok indecisive and notice I carry this phone around a lot at work due to it not being the easiest to place in my pocket.Surprisingly the Plus model fit in my pocket when I tried it at the Apple Store and the big screen wasn't too bad to hold in my hands.I know that apple tested these phones 15,000 different ways, with sophisticated equipment, and are smart enough to know releasing a device that 'bent in your pocket under normal wear' would be a poor move for them, I just dont think they would do that, and I believe their testing facility is fully capable of recreating whatever circumstances alleged bender victims have hypothesized. After completely moving away from my 5S fully, I could not see the point in going with anything smaller as it has worked out well for me at the Gym, In the car and overall in the pocket, so far it has fit very well into my dress pants, shorts and track pant pockets.the bend thing isn't ridiculous, its not going to bend in your front pocket if your not in some weird awkward position. My 5s looks fabulous despite a lot of hard living in my pocket when I'm doing landscape/gardening work or playing with kids and dogs at the park because it's kept in a nice leather wallet case that protects it front and back.I was so happy to finally be back on iOS, but now it has me worried too much about breaking a $900 phone, when I never gave Note 3 a second thought in my pocket.Even with a regular fit pair of Levi's, it can sometimes be a tight fit pulling my 5s out of the front pocket when I'm sitting down.I posted my pics/video because I'm pissed that this beautiful, amazing phone bent in the pocket of my shorts in three days with nothing extraordinary going on.Then I checked out the 5.5 and thought geez this thing is huge, but after a moment of playing with it it wasn't so bad, however I put my phones in my front pocket (you know being a guy and all) and although I know it would fit in my front pocket it would be very uncomfortable because of how huge it is.would not trade it for another love the larger screen for these retired old eyes no "pocket problems" better Nav screen for the car great for videos great for surfing websites overall just a great improvement.... and I think it's interesting reading the posts that seem to think "everyone will see you have a large phone" hogwash - nobody so far has even noticed it - in the real world (outside forums) no one seems to give a damn what phone I have...LOLand you want us to "Switch on that thing that sits between your ears" I had some of the earliest smart phones going back to windows phone's, ect.. and I never ever put a smart phone in my pocket most of the time, yes I do sometimes with dress pants, but never jeans, and I posted 2 links to 2 samsung phones that broke in pockets. It's also a good fit in the phone pocket in my purses, whereas a 6+ wouldn't have fit.The six is just perfect that way and I keep my phone in my pocket and it is great that way. However, since I don't have a purse nor really baggy/cargo pants (I don't wear skinny jeans either, I wear stuff that looks good - and that's not anything really baggy and sloppy), I couldn't get over the size of the 6 Plus as I had worries about how it'd fit in my pocket - particularly when sitting down.Lol exactly... she was worried about "pock-ability" but I showed her she still had plenty of room with her 5 and it's thinner...... She's going to gush over it (need that water proof sammy now) and I believe it will fit into her pocket just fine.Nope - I knew I was getting a 6 when I woke up at 2:53AM EST I carry my phone in my front pants pocket all of the time, and did try a co-worker's 5.5" phone in my pocket a couple weeks ago; it fit, and I could sit if I adjusted the phone a bit before sitting, but it was way too obtrusive.Well, I tested the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with 5.7 screen in my pants pocket and it fit perfect!Oh and a flexible phone would be great since I want to put that phone in my back pocket where my over sized wallet used to be.6 plus to big esp if you gym it which i do 3 times a week then run 3 days a week on off days as one member said, number two can barely fit in my pocket and just big overall 4.7 seems perfect.i thought the htc one m8 i had was big but jesus christI'll get the 6..it's $100 cheaper, bigger than my 5 screen, will fit in one hand, will fit in my pocket, an upgrade from my 5 camera, and I won't look foolish holding an iPad up to my ear for calls.Personally, I want the biggest phone that I can fit comfortably in my pocket (no man purse for me I tried a Note 3, and it fit in my pocket just fine.I'm slightly leaning toward the 6+, but I'm still afraid it will be too big to fit in my front jeans pocket comfortably.I am 6'1", 185 pounds, and "tricky" is not a word I would use to desribe fitting a Note in my pocket. In my world and among my peers I can even fit a 7" inch smart phone in pocket:4.7 perfect for gym/working out perfect for jogging/running perfect for taking pics perfect for back pocket and ease of use to carry around for a man 5.5 perfect for movies perfect for editing pics/viewing perfect for music/dj apps perfect for games perfect for browsing websites and shop perfect for reading books i am so so so torn that i cant make up my mind.A slightly smaller phone would fit my pocket much better and would still have a nice screen.Well, I tested the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with 5.7 screen in my pants pocket and it fit perfect!Really awesome when I'd been using a difficult to use 5, then a verrrrry slowwww 4, then to a brand new 5 for free out of warranty This whole experience makes me wonder exactly what kind of dirt gets into my pocket though heheI remain so amazed and grateful for tech that fits in a pocket and outguns those ol' things ten million to one without getting hot.Worked great - amazing how much pocket lint got in there!!It's perfect -- large enough to read things, play games, type comfortably, etc., but small enough to use with one hand and fit perfectly in a pocket.Carry it in a dedicated front pocket so the screen stays perfect.Simplified: AT&T MVNO's: - yours, too, will come no need to get yourselves upset or use unkind language towards hapless dronesThat's frustrating to have scratches and blemishes all over you phone especially when all you've done is have it in your pocket...or even worse...a case.If you're exceptionally active at work, these brick-like phones are really noticeable and annoying in your pocket - I had the Note 3 before, and that was bad enough - the 6+ is even worse with a smaller display to boot...My 5 fit in my back pocket but 6+ sticks out and I'm afraid it will fall out.The phone fit in pocket great - not too loose or tight.Of course it might not fit in a really, really tiny girls pocket or something but that's not the point, the point is it does fit in nearly everyones pockets but when it goes in and fits, it BENDS, that's the real issue. If you take into account that there are some fake answers on one end; also take into account that there are fake answers on the other side - Second, I don't think the problem is "the phone will bend in your pocket in your first couple of days of use", but "the phone will eventually bend in your pocket".If this is somehow a narrow thing and a non issue, which seems doubtful at this point, great but as It stands if the phone Is bending in a front pocket there is a definite problem and apple should have either engineered around it and honeycombed the metal and reinforced it or made the phone thicker.oh let me put my phone in my pocket.....damn it bent by some weird miracle....Then it shouldn't be new to you either that sitting with a cell phone in a tight pants pocket can subject your expensive device to undue stresses at best, and damage at worst.I'm "upgrading" from the 4S and I gotta say that as weird as this may sound, I really like the thickness of it because - another weird thing here - I can feel its weight in my pocket (yes POCKET) and it reminds me where I put it!What's even more delusional is to have one get bent in your pocket and then think "Oh, this particular one was just 'defective' so I'll have Apple replace it with another one exactly like it.People were screaming " give us bigger screens blah fingerprint sensor isn't spectacular blah" and now people are screaming " why are the new iPhones big wee the 5s is too big for my pocket"...Taking it on a bike workout, it was rather safe in my pant/short pockets, but the taking in-and-out of pockets makes it kind of a PITA, but it's assurance that it wont fly out of my pocket easily, so good n bad.Feels nice in my hands, but does not fit in my pocket.I'm worried about how it may look in dress pants, I guess I could always put it in my back pocket like a girl if worse comes to worse...The area on the back where the makes contact with the case makes a strange oily-looking mark which is ugly as hell, the case fits the phone a bit too tightly for my tastes (making it difficult to remove), and the edges are a bit sticky (in that it would be difficult to remove from my pocket).
touchid
There is another thread on here with a guy who bought an aftermarket silver ring for his home button and his TouchID works perfect and it looks great for those interested...I love my Space Grey iPhone 6...sometimes I miss the Slate Black iPhone 5 color though, I'm sure they could have reformulated the paint to make it more scratch proof but that would've been harder...either way Space Grey looks great. That all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningLength of 6+ ... it needs to be 1/4-1/2" shorter ... would be perfect... i get that we can't shorten the bottom without changing the touchid sensor in some way and i don't think Apple would like a non-equal bezel I just felt that when i was holding it 1 handed without a case i had to hold onto it tightly which didn't make for best comfort experience Do miss the screen though .... was amazing in its contrast and tonality and so sharp and battery was significantly bigger. The white fascia with the gold ring around the TouchID in the Olive Brown looks fabulous, very happy with it.TouchId in the 5s is something I could do with (from using my phone with OS maps on when walking), the iOS8 continuity stuff looks great - I personally find it handy now to tap away iMessages on my mac, and things like air dropping between the two will make it better still.I'm actually quite happy with my iPhone 5, and since I'll be paying less once out of contract, will probably hang onto it a bit longer than I normally would (unless the iPhone 6 is AMAZING or something) I may actually upgrade to a used 5s once the 6 comes out, because I want that motion processor and TouchID.TouchID is "magic", a very brilliant idea.If your experience with TouchId is so awful, maybe your iPhone is defective (a defective sensor) ....Yes there are some people where TouchID is NOT plausible or ideal. If not, your finger moved too much or, worst case, you may have given TouchID a bad initial reading.I've also been disappointed in how inconsistent and unreliable TouchID has been for me.
