issues
I hope by Christmas this will be cleared out so I can treat myself to a nice Christmas present It would be nice to know if those that have iPhone 6 and use it in the back pocket and even sit on it had any issues.I really thought I'd at least be giving it a chance down the road (you can see my previous posts from before the launch when we didn't know we'd be getting both at the same time) but the 6 is pretty damn perfect so coupled with the +'s issues I no longer feel the need.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.I think there is an unfortunate design compromise and a bit disappointed Apple hasn't learnt from similar issues with the 5 and made it even worse, but I still want the phone and will probably keep it with AppleCare+.I got pretty much bored of Android, I had a rooted Galaxy S2 with Cyanogenmod in it, it wasn't a bad phone but it was annoying seeing the force closes, soft reboots, battery life issues. They are very friendly and accommodating for this kind of thing, and I have done it before many times in-store without any issues.I agree, i don't have any issues with ram on my 5c but If I pay a smartphone $800, it better be high tech, It's been a while since we had a ram upgrade, 2gb of lpddr4 would be awesome, more than that would be freaking wonderful hahaI just upgraded to the iPhone 5s and for my need it a great phone all though I had to take it back cause it had issues in the first three months the off and on thing, until then I had the 4s and it worked great.Haha some very amusing replies, as amusing as a stick, thanks for the the time worthy replies though, I guess it's not a big deal and I'll live with it, just glad I don't have other issues with the phone and only a minor one.I was on the T-Mobile family plan for almost 6 months, and while the price is great, customer service is great, the actual service is just ok. Too much switching of LTE to 4G in the same spot killing my battery, loss of signal even though i have 3-4 bars, and not having any of these issues on AT&T prepaid, I made the switch back as of today.iPhone 3G - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4S - perfect iPad 1st gen. - perfect iPad 2 - perfect iPad 3 - Multiple display issues, multiple returns, sold for iPad mini iPad mini - perfect iPhone 5 - 1st one damaged, second acceptable Now this.Hi everyone , I'm here to inform you all that I've solved this problem after battling for hours , I red a lot of post on various forums and tried , changed/removed security/encryption standards , changed DNS , Tried different channels , toggled genius in privacy ... etc but none worked I have a 5 year old netgear wifi router which worked just perfect with ipad , iPhone 4 & 4s but since I got i5 , I've faced serious wifi issues like , average browsing , ultra slow app store download speeds ... for a 10mb app it took more than 15 mins to complete , on 20 MBps broadband line .. After trying every solution out there I tried my friends Belkin and Netgear N series router , and everything worked perfect @ blazing speeds on both belkin & N series, found the difference almost instantly(on all my old devices as well) .Only in some apps mind you, like navigation apps you see much less on the iPhone and you get some weird banding display issues that make the map fairly ugly.Loved it until weird things started happening... First, I have been restarting my phone more then 10 times in a week trying to get some weird issues fixed.People rag on Apple, some issues to be sure but great customer service is worth a lot.yeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsAs a whole, when you add up all OEM's that use Android and all their issues combined, it is drastically worse then Apple's issues combined(2014 Moto G having terrible memory issue problems that Motorola isn't acknowledging, and so much more)Some display units may exhibit it, some may not, thats the thing with LCD technology, it is not 100% perfect and this is where OLED has advantages in having perfect screen uniformity and no backlight(OLED has issues of its own too though) Id say just keep it, nd just relax...slowly overtime too itll go away the backlight as we start to use our phones even more I believe, or itll just dim enough to the point where it is gone eventually....if you truly want to get your phone completly replaced , its really hit or miss with the Genius's, you could of told them, "hey this issue just started developing and im afraid itll get worse over time," etc etc.I too have ever so slightly backlight bleeding at same exact spot on my Plus, it isnt really too bad at all, on black screens it prettt much looks uniform, but there is a little bit that I do see....wonder if overtime as the backlight gets used if itll even out or slightly dim there, kind of bothers me, but I think my case is lighter then yours, not gonna try and go replace it though because the next one could be worse or have other issues (my Plus is flawless in every single other way)Left IOS after experiencing horrible connection issues with the 4 due both to "antennagate" and bad AT&T coverage. Not to start a discussion on unions, because I am well aware of just how corrupt and crooked they can be (Local 63 had it's own issues too).all just not cool when i've paid 1K for an iPhone and cases and it had a kernel panic, must have been a bad chip, so weird as i mentioned it on my old mac book, when i wrote the thread - i think peeps from UK were posting thinking i could just pop over to a store, time difference, plus i was not sure if could store could even help b/c of stock issues..... what are the odds of 2 KP's esp one on an iPhone! The extra inch of screen isn't worth the issues because the phone is far too long and becomes unwieldy for what *I* want of it.As I've posted before, decide whether or not getting a replacement is worth it knowing you might get a phone with a worse screen, scratches, issues, or is bent out of the boxAfter hearing of people having issues with the 5s I was apprehensive about it working well on the 6, but no... it's been absolutely perfect, except for times when my finger is damp with sweat or water.I've returned iPads for yellow screen issues, but in truth the ones I have now that I am happy with are not perfect. This one doesn't have a fault either......it's just pathetic Internet trolling that a very very few minority of people have suffered, in which most of them will have suffered due to misuse......it's as simple as that......and if you haven't bought one yet, then simply don't buy one if you're that worried......I have bought one, I'm treating it like the respect it deserves for being such an expensive device......if you can't handle such a big phone in your lifestyle, don't buy it, simple as that......I guarantee they will still sell more phones than anyone else this year, and I know it's not about sales, it's about customer satisfaction......and as i said, a few moaning idiots on here doesn't show the majority vote here......people who have no issues will not bother coming here, they will simply be enjoying their device and getting on with their lives.....something I wish all the moaners would do instead of just crying about issues that don't exist if you treat things properly.Horrible lag issues with touchwiz and the cheap bezels and body structure. The iPad had issues with large dispay variation, excessive heat and overall mediocre performance.Through all that copying and pasting you still missed the boat...Oh, please just leave android out of it that **** is old and lame now....but like i said you missed the boat bad, the plus needed more ram period...ram/processor works as a tandem, damn the bench score...what about the issues with safari address that with your bench scores...it will fall back to ram/processorWhat's amazing is that no one seems to have any glaring issues with their phones.so bizarre, can only assume they had issues with bad people doing unsavory things so it had to become stricter but clearly it's too strict now! It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date.I think if activations aren't smooth, the issues won't be anywhere near as bad as in the past (when they were bad that is).iPhone5s Defective Battery - Genius Bar Rejection Twice, horrible AppleCare Service *Reported all these issues, Apple is now "investigating it" Whatever means, just s slap on the wrist for them*on the contrary, web browsing is the main thing I use my phone for, I've never had "ram" issues but I don't look for trouble, having 8 open tabs is dumbI was having issues with the home button from day 1... My fault for not taking it in straight away, and of course Apple would have to take "on trust," but in this case, the home button issue (at worst) was made worse by the fall.If worst comes to worst just go to a 3rd party iphone repair shop and get the battery replaced there with no issues and probably cheaper too.i have been having horrible issues with my phones battery and basically i think the battery is bad which is what ever ill pay the 80 bucks and have it replaced.I had some of those same issues w/ AT&T, but they were much more tolerable as it was just frustrating w/ TMo.And we've had occasional issues with the 4 and 4S's but now that the 5's are being passed around its seems like there is always someone with a bad power button or lousy battery.Seems to me WiFi issues are getting worse and worse. While I am tempted to think that most of my issues were hardware issues, I found it hard to believe that I could be so unlucky to get one with a bad battery.Terrible proximity sensor issues (hung up on like 5 people today) and the death grip is pretty bad.
update
Ill stay at least until Gingersnap gets hers from apple and she becomes happy again- Update: Tracking number updated and phone is shipping from Fort Worth, TX and its Next day air!I am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI am happy to report impressive battery life since the update so it seems to be working well on my iPhone 6 iPhone 6 64GB (AT&T) // iPad Mini (Wifi) // 2013 MacBook Pro RetinaDid that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBBeautiful screen alone was worth the update.Pre-ordered 6+ 64GB SG @ 1.46am CDT on 9/12 Estimated delivery 10/2 - 10/13 My AT&T site reads 'pending shipment' Cancel button on premier site reappeared 3-4 days ago No sign of any shipment or tracking number Happy for others seeing some progress ... just wish I could see some kind of update!iOS7 was a nice update and made the my iPhone 5 feel like a new phone again and if nothing else the iPad Air I just purchased was nice due to it's speed and screen. The Nexus 5 for me has been great, it was my first 4G phone (London) and signal is great, battery was a bit meh but I wiped my phone and has since doubled, the camera is good enough, the 4.2.2 update fixed the slow focusing. The 6 runs the 64bit chip while he 5 dose not and with each iOS update you will see you 5 getting worse and worse. With the shoddy update that was/is iOS 8, your phone could get bricked/slowed down thanks to terrible coding.Disappointed, hope it will be a future update as it's handy, but definitely not enough for me to go and buy the plus.Got tired of the phone looking mismatched, and tired of having to reapply icons after every update.I was also a bit annoyed at how quickly Apple drop update support for previous models (little did I realise how much worse the situation can be with non-Nexus devices on Android).****^ I don't find your sarcasm amusing The end tester(s) @ Apple that gave the go ahead to release this update needs to be fired Sad....Steve Job has passed awayIt's the same thing every time we have one of these.... Everyone gets all spun up and Apple Logos appear in their eyes....We make ludicrous posts about how Apple is the greatest and we can't wait to stand in line at 3 am to purchase it.... And then the Keynote happens and we will come back and say what an awful update that was and how underwhelmed we are by the newest Apple offerings....Then we may buy it...We may preorder it but only because the battery life sucks on the 6 month old 5S we currently have....Worked great, but was made obsolete quite soon with that terrible iOS 4 update that basically killed the performance.Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power.Twice Also did a ##update# no luck Googled the issue, and every result was indicating a bad SIM - although, they were posts for 4, 4S and 5 (Around October 8 for the 5) which did not correlate to an update I would not really even consider the update being an issue if it weren't for a few of us with the same experience of updating, and then immediately having the issue Too weird Anyway, point of the post was to see if anyone else had this, which, some did - and as a heads up for others beating a dead horse now.Being "worried" about an unannounced software update to your mobile phone is, well, pathetic.

services
Find products and services that fit them best and try to help them make the right decision both financially and lifestyle wise.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case.Nice and now if your company buys iPhone 5S (thats if they buy at full price rather than on contract) they wouldn't have to make employees change phones should they wish to change networks if they provided everyone with Verizon 5C/5S models :-) Glad your enjoying your services and iPhone - at the end of the day its your best experience and what ever model + carrier gets you that - is what matters.in the meantime I found a workable solution with callback services and dedicated apps.I found Verizon to be one of the worst services I've used (more so than T-Mo), from dropped calls and some of the worst customer service I've experienced.Personally, I think overall the service is better in my normal stomping ground, and 'good enough' everywhere else until next year when things are all rolled out -- and I'm tired of paying evil companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast, and whenever I have a choice, I will avoid buying services from them.I saw really no difference in the 2 services tho I was worried when I would travel or go places because when you visit Tmobile they mention all the places it doesn't work that I never experienced when I was with verizon(awful awful customer service) or AT&T(ask to speak to a manager and you will get 2-4 free months of service). So essentially nothing as drastic as all Google apps being bad like that and even worse than other apps that would provide similar services if one chooses to use them and allows for the relevant permissions. They're everywhere, but the aforementioned countries should be excluded anyway because of corrupt customs and unreliable mailing services.Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power.I might not have been so eager to switch had Google not gotten rid of their EAS option, but since they did I didn't have much heartburn about moving my services to iCloud, especially after I bought a MacBook.

track
Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but it feels a bit like a ploy for you to lose track of time while browsing the store or possibly fit more (paid) apps on the page. After completely moving away from my 5S fully, I could not see the point in going with anything smaller as it has worked out well for me at the Gym, In the car and overall in the pocket, so far it has fit very well into my dress pants, shorts and track pant pockets.3) Health This is a nice thing about the new iPhone is it keeps track of steps and distance walked on its own, which is kinda nice how you dont have to install a specific app for it.I'm not worried about it not showing up on the 21st but like others have stated, it is frustrating to not be able to track and follow the location of my iPhone when almost everyone else is able to.I got my letter from Apple that "my items should ship between oct 20-27" That is right on track for my delivery estimate of Oct28-Nov4 Unlocked sg+128 9/29 Apple is dumb for making only one black front faced phone and two white............ most of us use cases and you never see the gold..sg..silver... but you see the front and most people want black except for girls and impatient people because its the only phone that might be in stock near you... rant over...It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date. And damn, if you have a 12 track album only taking up 60MB, I feel so bad for you for the poor quality it must be in.

3) Health This is a nice thing about the new iPhone is it keeps track of steps and distance walked on its own, which is kinda nice how you dont have to install a specific app for it.You will need to open your iPhone 5s to be able to view the volume button contacts, and slide something (I used a tiny piece of paper ) inside the gap that makes your volume keys jiggle.... You will need a pentalobular screwdriver (the one that was required to open the iPhone 5) and a suction cup (the kind that you stick on windows and mirror)... just follow the couple of steps on iFixIt website: It worked for me... you must not be scared of opening your iPhone, and be careful enough not to break any connection wires under the screen (read the above iFixIt link for more info) Unfortunately, if it's the power button you want to fix, you wont be able to do it my way My power button jiggles a tiny bit, but it's hardly noticeable... when the iphone was opened I noticed there was no way to properly see the button and gain access to itAll of the guides I'm finding on the web are assuming my iTunes content is stored in the default location (it isn't) or involve a bunch of weird steps involving adding fake calendar events or messing around with plist files. They dont understand their phones interface is annoying, ugly and confusing and requires extra steps for everything.Paranoid UPS will pull their typical lazy shizzat where they pre-fill out the "sorry we missed you" info notice that they slap on the garage door, rather than ascending the 14 steps to my front door to you know...
problems
I have a 128gb iPhone 6+ ..no problems all the rumors(gates) floating around the internet are all BS ..my iphone hasn't bent ..my 128gb tlc hasnt died ..my screen is perfect ..I get better service than on the Note 3 bottom line is ..unless apple acknowledges the problem or someone posts substantive empirical evidence that has been repeated with the same results by another party ...then its a fake rumor you need not trouble yourself withOne of the biggest problems in the U.S. criminal justice system is that we don't employ these kinds of punishments ; Americans are way too eager to see everyone do some time thinking that it has some kind of magical rehabilitative effect on criminals, which we know is not true.Wow, seems like Iphone 6 Plus is having a lot of problems...I tried the Note 4 at bestbuy today and it was stunning and a wonderful device on all regards...would not trade it for another love the larger screen for these retired old eyes no "pocket problems" better Nav screen for the car great for videos great for surfing websites overall just a great improvement.... and I think it's interesting reading the posts that seem to think "everyone will see you have a large phone" hogwash - nobody so far has even noticed it - in the real world (outside forums) no one seems to give a damn what phone I have...LOLRefreshing causes a great deal of problems on the sites I frequent.Someone who looks nervous and uncertain will seem less likely to cause problems than someone who looks strong and confident.Mine doesn't rattle, neither it restarts by itself, the touch id works perfectly every single time , I have no problems with signal or wifi and the battery last all day using it heavily; I wanted to change my 5s 16g for a 32g but now I'm honestly scared to see all the problems other people have with their phone, I think I got lucky, and now I won't change it.But, it never gets that delicious kind of information due to the sensor problems.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceMy 6 Plus has been absolutely amazing and I have absolutely no lag or stutter at all on my 6 Plus, your 6 Plus seems to be defective, Sounds like you might not even have a 6 Plus, why would you spend all that money when a ton of your "problems" is something you could of always seen in person hands on with the device or so (surely you tried the device out before forking over money) And Siri has been working for me 90% of the time and is light years better then what it has been, that seems to be a connection issue on your part with Siri having a response like thatCars have some weird problems with stereo's....my dads car is horrible, if I plug my phone into the charger in his car his radio just goes out (well loud static constant), its pretty bad lol.As a whole, when you add up all OEM's that use Android and all their issues combined, it is drastically worse then Apple's issues combined(2014 Moto G having terrible memory issue problems that Motorola isn't acknowledging, and so much more)I think i may just be paranoid.. doesn't seem like annoying else is experiencing the same problems under careful usage.iP6 not moving on swappa either Awesome or as CNotes would say If you are doing ship to home, some people on SDs thread are still reporting activation problems.Like the argument that Apple is evil and the workers in china all die etc.. Those ppl did obviously not understand that the lithium for every houshold device is harvested from poor african childs in lithium mines and most of them die or get serious lung problems but thats ok, because the real evil are the apple factories which means foxconn and those factories actually produce for alot of companies, not only apple.I am lucky enough not to have any problems where I live but heard of other cities can be bad.I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say!Horrible build quality...the chrome bezel painting is wearing off, the battery cover scratches so damn easily and the screen gets ********s of fingerprints despite having an oleophobic coating... Now on the software side, things are even more ******... During my first 3 months of usage I had no problems with this phone, everything was fast and smooth. After two years of sheer complacency, this launch will sure to be fraught with lots of problems and angry buyers. No one was perfect, either connection problems or unstable connection / bad speed etc.No problem brother , like I said we pay crazy prices for these devices and honestly if people just settled for less than perfect because they were afraid to be anal retentive than how would company's like apple even know these problems exist , they have to be held to the same standards we are and if I gave less than 100% at work I would be fired or less than 100% at home something could happen to my family and I'm not about to let that happen .and if they approve they can do swap, so hopefully they can help... Again, I know i had 14 days but it didn't affect me at the time bad enough, its go ten worse over time and yes I know it sounds so silly cause if you don't experience it you have no real understanding and trolls these days do kinda ruin it for legit problems

I'm astounded that people are amazed turning off the cellular modem saves battery...I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBI had been refreshing since 245am and I have been kicking myself since thursday night for not turning off wifi and going cellular to place my order cause all the refreshing locked me out. While wireless phones are great for mobility, it is funny how we've gone from wired phones offering crystal clear clarity for even international calls to tolerating low quality cellular calls, not being able to make/receive calls indoors, or dead zones outside major metro areas. It depends on your needs, Straight talk says Unlimited - however no outside MVNO carrier is going to give you true unlimited data to be honest, so that aside you have to measure your data usages - I on average use 1-1.5GB data, so 2GB has been great for me because I rely on WiFi for roughly 40% of the time and I also avoid videos over cellular as they take big bites out of the monthly data usage. The iPhone 5 has bad battery life, a craptastic cellular connection and shoddy WiFi connection...Also bad battery life, a craptastic cellular connection, and a shoddy Wi-Fi connection. If he's on cellular data then his signal is very ideal, if not perfect. If you have every feature activated and your brightness above 50% and a bad cellular connection then your battery life will be much worse.
display
Something about the 6 Plus that is just incredible..i just feel like i have the whole world at my finger tips...a big very beautiful into this world, and the way the space gray 6 /6plus in the front looks with the edges sloping off and like the blackness of the front display and just the way it seems to morph into the edges and kind of like consume the whole front of the device is amazing...plus ( no pun intended lmao) i love the battery life, it is absolutely incredibly good and lasts a very long time I like the 6 design better then the 5S/5 design overall.... One thing I do wish though is that i wished they made a darker model then Space Gray (like the dark slate color from the iPhon 5) , that would look even moreamazing imo.. Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )I got a 6+ two days ago, it has a very nice even cool display just a gorgeous screen ,compared to my brother's which has a yellowish warm display. It's amazing that a display that is 5 years old keeps holding it's own against some of these more advanced screens on the latest and greatest phones that are out now, and still looks better than most of the new amoled phones.I also really looked at both displays and the 6 Pluses display seemed more vivid (better contrast ratio; 1300:1 on 6 Plus, 800:1 on 5s) and just overall beautiful. The curved glass, thin unibody metal body, gorgeous display, and amazing battery life.-Excellent build quality - Consistent battery life - Great performance - Almost flawless stability - Very bright display - Best app quality when compared with Android - Don't have to wait for carriers when system updates release - Excellent audio quality -Touch ID is a blessingI used to love the notification LED until I got my Moto X. Motorola's active display is absolutely awesome and kind of like an Apple answer to the LED.To me, the 6+ has taken time to get used to and still at times can be a tad unwieldy but it's a compromise I happily make every day to get that awesome battery life and larger HD display. The display gods were kind to me and I scored a perfect display on my second tryBut most of users want a great display, a great camera and a great battery life.Amazing display, amazing battery life, iOS8 has mostly been fine.I'm still happy with the new iPhone though because I love the new display size, so moving to iPhone 6 was the right decision.DISPLAY IS IMPERATIVE IMO so glad I got a rMini right away that I deemed fine enough without any swaps, and with Color Profiles (jailbroken) looks great only upgraded from iPad3 to rMini as soon as jailbreak came out, so I had out of box tweaking made possible to cool off the tint a little.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKThey are scratch resistant, just not scratch proof, I am pretty sure "iom-strengthed glass" is just another name for Gorilla Glass i got my 6 screen covered in Ghost Armor clear screen protector....I love this screen protector, perfect cutouts, perfect size, fits the whole glass display, had a guy at the kiosk did it, no air bubbles at all anywhere, complete clean and clear installation, it is flawless and you cant even tell sometimes that there actually is a screen protector thats how well installed it was(guy at the kiosk did it, put it in a heat box, popped all remaining other air bubbles/pushed them out) I feel very safe and secure with this Ghost Armor protector lol I know it will hold up great and absorb alot of scratches over time instead of my screen Honestly , literally there is not much you can do to protect your screen without a screen protector, a OCD guy like me, where i never keep anything in my pocket with my phone but my phone, where I am always shaking off my pockets to get all lint/sand out before I put my phone in there so nothing can scratch it in my pocket, blowing on my phone sometimes throughout the day to get dust/lint off of it from my pocket, and being very careful where I place my phone (Never in a car cup holder etc) and even doing all this, all my smartphones that I had owned even with care like this, I always still end up finding micro scratches on the screen build up over the months, doesn't affect actual screen display like i dont see rainbow lines or anything like that, but still micro scratches all over the display, it is almost impossible to guard from really with no screen protector you honestly can't do nothing about it and it's not "cheap Apple" , its just not sapphire glass display lol.How nice it is to look at the massive line and laugh as I glance down to mine in its place in the center console, wirelessly connected to my audio, navigation, app center with its gorgeous eight inch display. The display is amazing and will be great once Apps are updated for it.The amazing display and the awesome battery has me sold. Thanks buddy for the kind reply, I totally agree with you, applying one of these films on top of this beautiful display is a bit like killing it...I think the raised lips of the leather case will be plenty for me.So far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance. But I knew that going in and it's awesome to have something with this big , beautiful display that lasts 2-3x longer than my 5s did with similar use.Much more user friendly then our 5 and the display is phenomenal.Netflix streams absolutely beautiful on this gorgeous 1080p display.Glorious and gorgeous display of all the things you love about iPhone.I got my iPhone 6 in the mail yesterday, and even though it's nice and has a beautiful display, it just feels too big! This display is nice to read from portrait or landscape, but the size is so weird to carry.I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,Something worth pointing out from The Verge's review is that some apps may require updating before they look nice or even work properly on the 6 Plus's higher resolution display.Apple iPhone 6 Plus PROS Large, beautiful display Great camera with optical image stabilization Long battery life Fast performance CONS NFC can only be used for mobile paymentsApple is usually the first to popularize awesome features such as 7 hour battery life on the MacBook Air (and then to an amazing 12 hours), retina display on a laptop, Touch ID on the iPhone, etc.And the switch to the A7 with phenomenal performance and 64bit architecture (with the A8 instruction set and new GPU), DDR 3 RAM (w/a 4mb 'on die SoC' buffer), fingerprint scan system second to none and a wicked camera (1080p is truly amazing, still capture is definitely a well refined with an awesome and perfect for sensor size 8mp, f2.2 with 10fps full Rez bursts as long as you hold the shutter down), continued progression of their IPS display technology and implementation..the 5s is AS good as ANY of the flagship Android 2014 handsets. With a very spacious, beautiful 5" display and SWYPE lightning fast keyboard, I'm very happy that I embraced change.I've had plenty of samsung friends who said the retina display looks nice and i've had many iOS friends who said samsung screens look nice; i doubt either had any idea with the exact PPI numbers were.iPhone 3G - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4S - perfect iPad 1st gen. - perfect iPad 2 - perfect iPad 3 - Multiple display issues, multiple returns, sold for iPad mini iPad mini - perfect iPhone 5 - 1st one damaged, second acceptable Now this.I'm happy with 4" if they widen the screen to fit 720p exactly then that would be better than offering a 4.7" display, & would still look tack sharp to with the screen size still being 4".Display is wonderful of course and the camera takes great pics.Only in some apps mind you, like navigation apps you see much less on the iPhone and you get some weird banding display issues that make the map fairly ugly.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceUm, PhoneArena battery testing is awful and they dont even disclose how they run their tests, they are not reliable at all, Anandtech has the best real world life usage testing PhoneArena doesnt even disclose how they do their testign, they dont go at all into details, their testing is not reliable and doesnt match more then half the times with multiple other battery tests done by other websites and also reviews Anandtech is one of the most reliable, reputable non biased websites on the web, their results and testing and analysis is really almost unmatched in the industry Anand does not write any articles or post anymore on Anandtech, he has put others complelty in charge and now works basically full time at Apple, you dont just throw out years of extremely reputable fame and non bias and renown that Anandtech has built over the years with the industry, terrible damage control, its widely known now that PhoneArenas testing is flawed and that they dont even disclose their testing Lol yeah, im sure the iPhone 6 plus only gets one hour more of battery life then the 6, what a joke, nobody takes PhoneArenas testing seriously anyway, their testing is flawed they dont even disclose how they do their test I went from a 6 to a Plus and I get way more then one extra hour of battery life with my Plus What do you expect, it powers a Quad HD screen , the GPU has to push more pixels, the display is bigger and has a bigger drain on the battery, the 28nm Snapdragon 805 is not as power efficient as the 20nm Apple A8, this was pretty obvious just by looking at the specs on paperSome display units may exhibit it, some may not, thats the thing with LCD technology, it is not 100% perfect and this is where OLED has advantages in having perfect screen uniformity and no backlight(OLED has issues of its own too though) Id say just keep it, nd just relax...slowly overtime too itll go away the backlight as we start to use our phones even more I believe, or itll just dim enough to the point where it is gone eventually....if you truly want to get your phone completly replaced , its really hit or miss with the Genius's, you could of told them, "hey this issue just started developing and im afraid itll get worse over time," etc etc.Anyways I was a target and I saw a 5s on display and it looked like a kids toy without a case...the display also looked inferior even to my regular 6's screen...it was just very strange...then I was riding with my buddy on leave and he has the iPhone 4 and we're on the interstate so he asks me to text someone back and I felt like I was a gorilla trying to type on the smallest phone ever.I think the Note implementation is dumb beyond dumb (though it does have the advantage in that the OLED display means the blank parts don't consume power). If you're exceptionally active at work, these brick-like phones are really noticeable and annoying in your pocket - I had the Note 3 before, and that was bad enough - the 6+ is even worse with a smaller display to boot...The G3's display is much dimmer, not nearly as accurate, has worse black levels, worse off-angle colors and contrast, and all the while consumes more power.Until this iteration of the iPhone, display size and battery life were not as satisfactory for the amazing amount of media consumption done on a daily basis.Perhaps leaving the phone on "demo" mode all day long "fixes" the display c. We all just have the worst luck and have in fact received "defective" displays 2.These phones aren't cheap and nobody should settle for a less than perfect display.I thought it wouldn't fit but it fit great and the grippiness of my clear case holds it up nicely as if purposely on display.Having a Notes app that decides to dedicate a third of it's window on a 5.5" phone to a largely irrelevant list so the actual note you are typing gets *less* display space than it did on a 4 inch phone is really bad design (and indeed you got more text on a 3.5" screen!).I have a few apps like stratus that never updated to the 4' screen, lazy devs lol Hopefully they adjust faster with the new iPhone, the worst was with the retina display !I'm always about getting the latest and greatest but not too fond of the giant display on the 6 Plus. Both display models, gray and white, had hideous yellow screens and HORRIBLE screen interlacing compared to the iPad 3 sitting next to them. While I was waiting for my appointment I loaded it on a display phone for comparison (which looked perfect), but she said she didn't even need to look, it's that bad.You also have a gap between the display and the infamous defective aluminum edge.this is my expectations/wishlist for the iphone 5 -8 megapixel camera -hd front facing camera -A5 1GHz dual-core chip -some changes to design -7.5mm depth -4" display -better battery life (average 1 extra hour on all battery specs) -external keyboard (dont think it will happen but would be nice) -3d screen (doubtfull for the iphone 5 but hopefully soon) -death grip fix -live wallpaper (seen it on jailbroken ipads and it looks amazing) -im deffinately not expecting apple to do all of the things in my list on the iphone 5 but it would be nice P.S.
list
- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.I ordered at 3:15 AM, still no shipping confirmation but seeing as how they seem to be moving down a list I am confident I will get one soon enough.Simplified: AT&T MVNO's: - AT&T GoPhone [I currently on $60 plan and its great] - AIO Wireless [Owned by AT&T] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - H2O Wireless - Go Red Pocket Mobile T-Mobile MVNO's: - GoSmart Mobile [Owned by T-Mobile] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Simple Mobile [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Ultra Mobile - Spot Mobile - Solavei - Platinum Tel - Metro PCS - iWireless - Walmart Family Mobile - 35orLess Sprint MVNO's: - Virgin Mobile - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] Verizon MVNO's: - PagePlus - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] If T-Mobile gave you the boot, go with AT&T MVNO's and I recommend: - #1 Straight Talk [Fast 4G + LTE Speeds slightly higher ping rates] - #2 GoPhone [Fastest 4G + LTE Speeds and Lowest Ping] - #3 AIO Wireless [Slightly cheaper than GoPhone with Fast 4G + LTE Speeds with slightly higher ping rates] Net10 and Straight Talk = Exact same except net10 = $5 more unless you do "Auto payment" T-Mobile MVNO's list has grown over the past couple of years maybe because its cheaper for companies to use its network vs AT&T but do note that you get LTE and much better coverage going with AT&T MVNO vs T-Mobile.2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:It's not normal that a 3000$ product to die after one year, or to have a bad screen, or to make strange HDD noise and the list can continue ...This seems a bit shady, I would see the point with other phones with this kind of code, but with the iPhones, Apple maintains the imei white list.I will say putting together that list really served nicely as a check on my expectations, and has greatly quelled my desire to repeatedly check the 877 number So, I'm glad I did it, but seeing that AT&T hasn't gotten past the first hour and a half of the first day of pre-orders for my model is a bit depressing.I was very angry at the time - i didn't call apple or anyone ranting or angry about it btw lol - but it still bugs me sometimes and i still have the iphone on my icloud list,so sometimes i remember about it.Having a Notes app that decides to dedicate a third of it's window on a 5.5" phone to a largely irrelevant list so the actual note you are typing gets *less* display space than it did on a 4 inch phone is really bad design (and indeed you got more text on a 3.5" screen!).this is my expectations/wishlist for the iphone 5 -8 megapixel camera -hd front facing camera -A5 1GHz dual-core chip -some changes to design -7.5mm depth -4" display -better battery life (average 1 extra hour on all battery specs) -external keyboard (dont think it will happen but would be nice) -3d screen (doubtfull for the iphone 5 but hopefully soon) -death grip fix -live wallpaper (seen it on jailbroken ipads and it looks amazing) -im deffinately not expecting apple to do all of the things in my list on the iphone 5 but it would be nice P.S.

ios8
Amazing display, amazing battery life, iOS8 has mostly been fine. The 4 serise felt great in the hand, they looked stunning, they were fast until ios8.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically, browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.Calls sound great, iOS 8 seems to work fantastically (outside of some skins of apps not loading all the time), browses great, and the regular web sites look good (after a simple pull down on the web page to load them...thanks iOS8) on this size phone.TouchId in the 5s is something I could do with (from using my phone with OS maps on when walking), the iOS8 continuity stuff looks great - I personally find it handy now to tap away iMessages on my mac, and things like air dropping between the two will make it better still.I'm so sick of the iPhone 6 and iOS8 3rd party keyboards totally unreliable App crashes are among the worst its ever been on iOS Another phone with a home button that feels like its about to give in Restored iPhone again today (set it up as new when i 1st got the 6) but tried doing same today .... phone decides 2 hours later to start heating up drastically and chewing battery .... was depleting fast than i could charge it.
couple
I personally agree that sprint network is bad but in couple spots is really great. It's a stunning phone and thoroughly nice to use with a couple of additional features the standard 6 doesn't have, however it's the size that is the real consideration for people I think. However, I noticed in a couple of trips to the apple store I would always pick up the 6+ and wonder if I could actually "live" with this phone, because man that screen is beautiful, it looks awesome and I like it.A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were enjoying a nice lunch out and I texted a photo to a friend of mine to let him know the restaurant we were at had his favorite beer on tap.I'm happy to get a perfect 6 plus after a couple of exchanges. He also went into great detail about how he/they want to do their best to make me happy and be there for me and how he'll stay on the phone with me for a couple of hours if need be, etc etc.If however you want the latest and greatest iPhone and your going to keep the device for a couple of years or more then it may be worth adding the extra money and getting a 6, but as I said the 5s is still a very, very capable and good phone.I find it really funny how a couple years ago when Samsung INTRODUCED the Note phablet just about everyone here said how it was such a stupid idea because it was so large and said they'd never buy an iPhone bigger than 4" because 4" was the perfect size.Nope - I knew I was getting a 6 when I woke up at 2:53AM EST I carry my phone in my front pants pocket all of the time, and did try a co-worker's 5.5" phone in my pocket a couple weeks ago; it fit, and I could sit if I adjusted the phone a bit before sitting, but it was way too obtrusive.Agree I always meet some really nice folks and nice conversations so waiting a couple hours is not a big deal.Couple reasons... the rMini has the amazing Smart Cover that allows it to stand on a hotel nightstand, and the rMini's battery is way way longer and its overall screen size is almost double the real estate.. so going to keep using it as my media device :-)Hopefully 5.5 grey, if I need to wait a couple of months ,I'll do that for bigger screen, had a note 3 an it was perfect bar being on android, so this 5.5 if true is perfect for me.I used to use the virgin deal , but after being given a couple of out of contract iPhone 4 we went with Genius wireless, we have three phones on the verizon network for just $75 each per yr, there are some other deals for time, data etc, but for pretty low users this is perfect, I only use wifi for data ...worth checking their plans...def a plus for teenagers too, no overspending from my teen.I figure a 16GB 4S built in Feb of 2014 (chipmunk.nl) and on 7.04 was worth a couple of Franklin's... so I'll keep it for nostalgia's sake haha... Too bad it wasn't a 64GB, but at least it wasn't an 8.You will need to open your iPhone 5s to be able to view the volume button contacts, and slide something (I used a tiny piece of paper ) inside the gap that makes your volume keys jiggle.... You will need a pentalobular screwdriver (the one that was required to open the iPhone 5) and a suction cup (the kind that you stick on windows and mirror)... just follow the couple of steps on iFixIt website: It worked for me... you must not be scared of opening your iPhone, and be careful enough not to break any connection wires under the screen (read the above iFixIt link for more info) Unfortunately, if it's the power button you want to fix, you wont be able to do it my way My power button jiggles a tiny bit, but it's hardly noticeable... when the iphone was opened I noticed there was no way to properly see the button and gain access to itSimplified: AT&T MVNO's: - AT&T GoPhone [I currently on $60 plan and its great] - AIO Wireless [Owned by AT&T] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - H2O Wireless - Go Red Pocket Mobile T-Mobile MVNO's: - GoSmart Mobile [Owned by T-Mobile] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Simple Mobile [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Ultra Mobile - Spot Mobile - Solavei - Platinum Tel - Metro PCS - iWireless - Walmart Family Mobile - 35orLess Sprint MVNO's: - Virgin Mobile - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] Verizon MVNO's: - PagePlus - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] If T-Mobile gave you the boot, go with AT&T MVNO's and I recommend: - #1 Straight Talk [Fast 4G + LTE Speeds slightly higher ping rates] - #2 GoPhone [Fastest 4G + LTE Speeds and Lowest Ping] - #3 AIO Wireless [Slightly cheaper than GoPhone with Fast 4G + LTE Speeds with slightly higher ping rates] Net10 and Straight Talk = Exact same except net10 = $5 more unless you do "Auto payment" T-Mobile MVNO's list has grown over the past couple of years maybe because its cheaper for companies to use its network vs AT&T but do note that you get LTE and much better coverage going with AT&T MVNO vs T-Mobile.i am 6'5 and i too have tried the samsung note 2 with the bigger screen and for the first couple of days it was weird but after that i was use to the size and feel i do agree that would be ideal for them to release 2 differnt size screens but i do not think i would want a screen size as big as the note as it makes it very uncomfortable in the pantsI'm not eligible for an upgrade at new customer pricing so any promotion Rogers does (unless it is amazing) won't be worth it when I can get an unlocked one for a couple hundred dollars more. The screen resolution is better at 1080 but not amazing IMO, amazing is the note 4 which a couple of my family members have, but I prefer iOS which speaks for why I chose the 6 plus.It is a great phone but after a couple of days I could not use it anymore because of a strange reason: pain in my eyes after max.The weird thing is, turning this on and using it for more than a couple minutes, the icons on the home screen and photo displays actually kinda give me a weird case of nausea. So there you have it, real world torture test from a tired middle-aged couple with the usual careless habits couples like us have and a crazy cat that, before we adopted it, probably worked as a movie extra as That Cat that pops out of cupboards and fakes the audience out in horror films. If you take into account that there are some fake answers on one end; also take into account that there are fake answers on the other side - Second, I don't think the problem is "the phone will bend in your pocket in your first couple of days of use", but "the phone will eventually bend in your pocket".Those complaining about horrible battery life need to wait a couple days, especially if you see the message that its still restoring Those claiming the have super duper awesome battery life are either not using their phone or are FOS.The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.Pretty Pathetic" "I find it strange how people would rather get the phone they don't want than to have to wait a couple of extra weeks to get the phone they do want."I have a family member wanting a 5c/s and I have seen a few on craigslist the past couple days for $300-325 and I am assuming they have a bad esn, I remember reading that the iphone 5 on verizon would work on att/tmobile but wasnt sure if it would if it had a bad esn for VerizonMine is a launch 5s and it was working perfectly (with a rare miss here and there, but not a big deal at all, I'd say 98% of the time it was fine)... we flew from RDU out to SJC a couple of weeks ago, and my touch sensor got worse and worse for the week and a half we were there.ditto to my previous comment The 32 gold 5s I had had a more reddish tint to it than my perfect 5 screen (neither with interlacing, I really can't believe first shot I got a good 5s I had terrible luck with the 5 for a while) but I returned it because I saw no reason to really sell my jailbroken 5 and fork over at least a couple of hundred to get the new one.So if worse comes to worse I guess I'll just pitch in the extra couple hundred bucks.
indicator
The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the irony

The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..I have been experiencing something similar though not as bad as what you described plus touch ID fails most of the time, i'm not mad, that's what happens when you buy products on launch day.Touch ID is just amazing, camera is outstanding and the screen size is perfect..It has an: Awesome camera Awesome screen Awesome speaker Awesome thinness Awesome processor Awesome Touch ID Awesome design Awesome flash Awesome battery life compared to all new smart phones it just trounces them. Not at all, my iPhone 6 is perfect and it feels really premium imo, I love the camera actually protruding from the phone ever so slightly, the dark metal shiny ring around the camera is a nice touch.May still eventually get the 6 for Apple Pay and Touch ID which my 5 doesnt have but still worried about one-handed use on the 6...glad that I learned I favor portability and one-handed use over all else and, in that respect, the 5 is a pretty nice phone.- dead pixel - backlight bleed - uniformity (one side darker, yellower) - smudge / smear inside glass - dust inside screen - dust or dirt inside glass (outside of screen area) - recessed / uneven volume button (on one but not another) - sticky vibration button (normal ones have a nice firm click) - uneven pressure / sticky / unbalance on sleep wake button (normal ones have a nice click to it) - uneven home button pressure (perfect ones have a nice click to it, but this is personal preference) - uneven gap when assembled (run your finger on the edge on each side and compare for your 6/6+) - dust inside camera lens - general cosmetic scratches / chips / dings (Apple logo, aluminum, buttons, sim slot) And this list hasn't even covered technical issues like wifi, Bluetooth, Touch ID, vibration rattle, etc.I'm coming from a 4s so I love everything about it...it's sleek, the touch screen is nice and responsive, the touch id amazing..great phone..Nice size, solid button feedback, Touch ID works perfect, excellent camera and solid battery life for my usage.Coming from the 5, I was excited for Touch ID, and it hasn't disappointed.its ios and a 5.5 screen so i am going to buy but its that damn touch id taking up so much room and apple's design to keep everything symmetrical which i like but damn look at those bezels up top and bottom!!And the leather is just a nice touch to an unbelievably nice phone.I'm not worried about the protruding camera (I've had an iPod Touch for ages and the camera isn't affected at all, nor is it very noticeable) but those antenna lines look terrible and there's still way too much bezel.I been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.Apple is usually the first to popularize awesome features such as 7 hour battery life on the MacBook Air (and then to an amazing 12 hours), retina display on a laptop, Touch ID on the iPhone, etc.It feels nice with the candyshell and touch ID is worth every penny.I love my 5s, I cannot imagine using an iPhone without Touch ID now, but the 5c is certainly a great device and a great alternative to the 5s for people who want a different shape, a different feel, and a bit of colour.[slighty] bigger screen would be nice, improved touch id would be nice, I'm pretty satisfied with the camera. It's definitely worth the upgrade, and if you're not interested in a bigger screen, the 5s is a great device with Touch ID (which works great) and is probably the most future-proof iPhone released yet.You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsMine doesn't rattle, neither it restarts by itself, the touch id works perfectly every single time , I have no problems with signal or wifi and the battery last all day using it heavily; I wanted to change my 5s 16g for a 32g but now I'm honestly scared to see all the problems other people have with their phone, I think I got lucky, and now I won't change it.I do like Touch ID, and sometimes it does take an extra try for it recognize my finger, but worse comes to worst I can't still use my passcode.Ya, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I actually got mine replaced under warranty due to that problem (it started within a few months of having it and got worse as the months went on and I finally decided to get it replaced before warranty was gone cause it was getting pretty bad) and then used assistive touch on the new one to keep it from happening again. What I find annoying with the Touch ID/Passcode is that if you try and delete an email from the lockscreen, it then brings up the keypad for your passcode, and then goes back to the lockscreen...makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome. And as dissatisfied as I still am with Siri's limitations, it is dwarfed by how dissatisfied I am with Apple's touch keyboard experience on this tiny screen.Touch ID is great, but really not worth the upgrade.Mine is a launch 5s and it was working perfectly (with a rare miss here and there, but not a big deal at all, I'd say 98% of the time it was fine)... we flew from RDU out to SJC a couple of weeks ago, and my touch sensor got worse and worse for the week and a half we were there.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.Every time I register my fingers, Touch ID works perfectly for a day and then progressively gets worse and worse. The s is nice but the touch ID just makes slide to unlock for notifications annoying. It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

Top-tier companies give great medical insurance, great vacation benefits (4 weeks), and great discounts (phone bill, Apple products, restaurants). That might have been funny a few weeks ago, Now it's just kind of hack.I'm now very very happy with my 2nd replacement unit which is doing absolutely fine and shows no signs of any bending after 2 1/2 weeks (with the exact same kind of usage that the former iPhone bent under after just 2 days). Its well worth the wait, and glad I got to spend the last 6 weeks with all of you!A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were enjoying a nice lunch out and I texted a photo to a friend of mine to let him know the restaurant we were at had his favorite beer on tap.My next "precious" will be in my possession in two weeks and no I am not tired of my Plus.If i have to wait a few weeks longer for the beautiful plus, i'm still happy its worth it.I have been reading this forum for weeks now and I am finally posting on here because I am so excited, yes... actually excited.I'm amazed at all the people on this forum who have acted like the 6+ is the greatest phone ever for the past 2 weeks and then act surprised when people ordered the 6+ and realized it wasn't for them.Nope - I knew I was getting a 6 when I woke up at 2:53AM EST I carry my phone in my front pants pocket all of the time, and did try a co-worker's 5.5" phone in my pocket a couple weeks ago; it fit, and I could sit if I adjusted the phone a bit before sitting, but it was way too obtrusive.Might be worth trying now before they start getting inundated with waiver requests in a few weeks and aren't feeling as generous.Ehem, you forgot something: "I'd also like to thank my lovely wife for putting up with me while I obsessively research for weeks on end, and for being the coolest, most awesome person ever. Two weeks ago I got the iPhone 5C and it is a pretty great experience, and the battery is great too.I thought I'd get used to this after a few weeks and learn to navigate the "iphone way", but it's as troublesome and confusing as ever to me.Yes, I had dumb luck and pre-ordered from Verizon 5 minutes before they were suppose to go on sale, but I would have waited 4 to 6 weeks if I didn't get so lucky and ordered the following day.I'm a little afraid weeks from now an app will come out that is much more useful on the Plus and I'll be jealous of the Plus users. If you want cheap wait a few weeks for Samsung to get desperate again and offer buy 1 get 1 dealsNo one will really be there until like 2 anyways so it shouldn't be so bad I just wanna make sure I get the phone my gf hates Me right now cause I won't shutup about my preorder being screwed up and don't want her hearing about it for 3 weeks plus I'm impatientI tried my luck and waited for 45 minutes the agent i got was pretty cool but he told there was nothing he can do about it and that all orders are getting expedited, i don't know if its true but he told me that he have received a lot of calls about from people with shipping dates November + including himself; anyway if i can get 6 plus locally at a fair price i might bite and cancel the pre-order, the sad part is my first order got cancel with a "nice" 7-10 days shipping but my new one is 3-4 weeks lol.Pretty Pathetic" "I find it strange how people would rather get the phone they don't want than to have to wait a couple of extra weeks to get the phone they do want."I've got a VZW dumb phone and two iPhone 5 handsets - a few weeks ago, one iP5 and the dumb phone were experiencing calls going straight to voicemail, I was on the road from Seattle to Skamokawa to Portland.Mine is a launch 5s and it was working perfectly (with a rare miss here and there, but not a big deal at all, I'd say 98% of the time it was fine)... we flew from RDU out to SJC a couple of weeks ago, and my touch sensor got worse and worse for the week and a half we were there. My 5S had the annoying resistive click when I pushed it certain ways, most frequently when I pressed it in the center and it made it really annoying to double press for multitasking but I am pleased to say that after close to 2 weeks usage it is now performing like it has on all the past iPhones.I have been a T-Mobile iPhone user for about a three years now..at first i had to deal with the terrible speed of EDGE since the iPhone is not built to run on T-Mobile's network..about two months ago i was finally able to get 3G on my iPhone 5 thanks to T-Mobile's attempt to upgrade their network to be able to drag more iPhone users to join their network...I'll admit at first i was really excited about this but after two weeks of 3G coming in and out, weak signal, dropping calls i finally said i've had enough, my iPhone would drop from 3G to EDGE at random times and even go NO SERVICE!!

-Excellent build quality - Consistent battery life - Great performance - Almost flawless stability - Very bright display - Best app quality when compared with Android - Don't have to wait for carriers when system updates release - Excellent audio quality -Touch ID is a blessingMy photo based system is great for organizing into nice little folders (edited). The fit and finish of the first iPhone with its aluminum/metal back and sexy looking operating system and software was and still is second to none. One of the biggest problems in the U.S. criminal justice system is that we don't employ these kinds of punishments ; Americans are way too eager to see everyone do some time thinking that it has some kind of magical rehabilitative effect on criminals, which we know is not true.i know he has the right to buy and return and apple has good return policy but sheeshh...i hate this kind of attitude its kind of abusing the systemI personally like the online reservation system and think that a great way to make it work better for the end user is to require a cellphone account of some kind.I advised the salesperson that having a great system that allows me to communicate while on the road was of utmost importance given how much time I spend on the road.I was happy to pay for full price for an out of contract phone (TMobile) - They never used the reservation system - We were told the store had all skus in stock, and based on our spot in line, we'd get what we want - Our line just stopped moving - Come 1:00 - we heard - second hand - all the 6P inventory was gone - which is difficult to understand because our line did not move.I just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes. And the switch to the A7 with phenomenal performance and 64bit architecture (with the A8 instruction set and new GPU), DDR 3 RAM (w/a 4mb 'on die SoC' buffer), fingerprint scan system second to none and a wicked camera (1080p is truly amazing, still capture is definitely a well refined with an awesome and perfect for sensor size 8mp, f2.2 with 10fps full Rez bursts as long as you hold the shutter down), continued progression of their IPS display technology and implementation..the 5s is AS good as ANY of the flagship Android 2014 handsets.*hey let's post about my nice wonderful fast, reliable brand new Nexus 5 smartphone running Google's mobile operating system Android 4.4.2 KitKat...in a thread about iPhone fingerprint sensor* Just seems desperately out of place to me, that's all. With microsoft bringing xbox live to windows phone 7 series would be nice if apple introduced some kind of universal gamer card system, could include most played music/tv/movies too perhapsGood thing I'm an honest kind of guy and didn't take this one, then go in later and do it again since the system would have shown I hadn't picked it up yet.Once the demand is there retailers will flood into the system to appear edgy and the rest will follow to avoid looking antiquated.Best case scenario is that the system is completely secure; worst case is that we're in the same position we've always been in (which I don't see as realistic)I have to hope for the mercy of the prison system in Shanghai to allow poor Sixy to be repatriated back to the good ol' USA...not that she's ever been there, because her inventors prefer to have her and her brethren constructed in countries with lax labor and environmental regulations so that they can take a 70% profit off the top of their devices to sooth the nervous souls of the ever-powerful investors while the people who built her are stymied from their suicide attempts by the nets installed below the roofline of their priso...uh...factory.I had preordered mine and have already received it but if I hadn't been lucky enough to get through the horrid preordering system (Apple & AT&T kept crashing), then I would've lined up Friday morning & would've probably experienced the same disappointment. And yes, Marx's system was most impractical due to human nature, about which he was either naive or over optimistic.****** i highly suggest one card for express check out in app as the system gets really buggy + slow the more clicks you need to do, if any way to use one card i would try.....they state a gift card issued by credit card co but given the wording i would assume that it would be ok for two credit cards i know a lot of online merchants like the top dept stores will only allow one credit card but mutiple store gift cards, you may want to send a quick note under a different email just to confirm as apple is quite strict.... in worse case you could get the gift card from one of the credit cards and that will def work, good luck! What's ironic is that, because of the original iPhone with no 3G, AT&T had to spend months backfitting their system for a higher speed EDGE so the new Apple device wouldn't look pitiful running at 59 Kbps.of the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedI don't like it because is made like any other Samsung phone, with cheap plastic (faux leather with faux stitches, what a tawdry solution ...), bad aesthetics and a bloated software above the operative system.I would never touch a iP4 because the microphone is TERRIBLE and that is the real reason SIRI was never allowed - voice recognition was impossible with such a cheap mic - so if you actually need to be understood when talking to someone you need at least a iP4s, which had a mic system leaps and bounds better and was the first iphone that didn't make you sound like you were being choked underwater to the other party. So apart from trying to complain in Chinese, they receive a TON of shady complaints everyday from shady chinese people trying to game the system. There are lots of AMAZING apps for Android, but it's a system where it's not uncommon for apps to only be really built for a small range of devices.I never publicly posted this trick (worried someone from att would see it and patch the 'mistake' in their system), but I'm glad someone else found this trick to be working too.

I'm just a consumer with my eyes open and realistic expectations who won't be angry when I don't have my phone a week before my shipping window opens.I asked if Apple could do anything for me to make me happy about this mess and was told (with a bit of an attitude) I should be happy that my delivery window of 10/19-10/30 had been updated to 10/6.64GB SG & 64GB GOLD ordered in store 9/22 Shipping window 10/30-11/10 GOLD shipped 11/11 out of Fort Worth no emails received from AT&T only one order traceable online (although both shown) online chat didn't work on Safari phone call at 3pm 11/11 rep says gold shipped SG pending GOLD shipped at 3:45 pm phone call to at&t was only way i can find status of SG phone they said a shipment of SG iPhones is expected from China in 2-3 days that the AT&T website is not perfect is not excusable considering their pocket books BE PATIENT FRIENDS - yours, too, will come no need to get yourselves upset or use unkind language towards hapless dronesAlthough, I won't hold my breath considering my shipping window is 11/5-11/14, not to mention I would that they would cover all of the preorders first, but, it AT&T we are dealing with...To make matters worse, I won't find out until they update either the website or send me a text about my order since the 877 number hasn't worked since I've placed the order (although I still try)... Good luck everyone; I am about as impatient as they come, so for those of you waiting from 9/12, I don't know how you have done it without going mad!Felt with the same ignorant csrs and either received bad information (like the one who told me I'd have the phone long before my shipping window) or no information at all.Having a Notes app that decides to dedicate a third of it's window on a 5.5" phone to a largely irrelevant list so the actual note you are typing gets *less* display space than it did on a 4 inch phone is really bad design (and indeed you got more text on a 3.5" screen!).The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.I'm used to pre-orders where the production release is 6 months after the product annoucement, and the order window is small so they can build to what the preorder was... Im not saying that necessarily is desirable, but it really would help lessen some of the madness that is this "omg its next week" and the logistics that are involved and the insane it sells out in 1 minute stuff... received both my confirmation of processing and an email for the other reservation from when ATT couldnt verify...

Yeah the 6 plus may be big but it is obnoxiously big beautiful and turns heads and i have caught people just looking at my phone (and when I had a 6 i remember I had seen a few 6 Pluses in the wild in peoples hands and them using it , and me just going to my self "wow that screen does look really nice and beautiful actually") it actually is one of the reasons why i went from the 6 to the 6 Plus because of envy and also the other obvious (battery life, screen size and res, OIS )Some people buy the plus and think its the greatest thing since sliced bread and that anyone who doesn't want one just needs to experience it, or educate themselves on such a great product. The nice thing about apple being stupid with RAM is that the 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6+ should all turn to **** at around the same time performance wise.Funny thing is right now I'm watching that at&t commercial with that cute little Lily telling some guy that 'yeah, we have the new iPhone' - I guess she is kept out of the loop or maybe she is just confused because all evidence points to them not having the new iPhoneGlad it worked, had to do the sane thing on my iPhone when bought a new one!Currently I'm finding the 6 Plus too unwieldy to use easily, but I can probably deal with that in time - however one thing that's frustrating me is that all websites on the 6 Plus open as mobile pages by default (I.e.Im very satisfied and pleased and happy with my choice of going to the Plus from the 6, I love this thing. This, this website is superb and it helped me find a 6 Plus 64 Gb in stock right at my local Apple store, I got the 4.7 inch 6 on Launch date, and I had it for about a month, I loved it but the Plus was looking so luring and amazing once I got to play with it a few times, I was so sure at first I didnt ever want the Plus, but then I started envying it, and then My brother ended up buying this Plus at Apple and we traded my 4.7 inch i6 with Applecare + on it for a 64 gb 6 plus for me, and I honestly couldnt be anymore satisfied and happy with this, I am beyond happy I got the plus, I love this thing and Im already use to the size, the thinness of the device is truly what makes this phablet actually very tolerable imo and its very slim in the pocket, The bigger screen alongside with the stupendously good battery life alone is beyond worth it and also OIS, All other phones just feel tiny now to me hah, TLDR: switched from a 6 (never thought id get a phablet) to a Plus and i am beyond in love with this thing and i am beyond satisifed and happy i went from the 6 to the 6 Pluspeople prefer ram to battery life, that's something i'd never expect.. to be honest the only thing missing from a perfect phone for me is: 2gb ram, water-resistant, improved scratch resistance, less bezels and a more efficient battery life (=> the day that the "up to" advertised numbers become standard numbers (meaning 10h = 10h, not 10h = 4h.)Strange thing is, I'm not that unhappy with the phone I have (Note 3).I gave the coat kind of a tug and kind of must have lost my balance for a sec and the next thing I know I see this phone shaped object fly about three feet vertical from my left hand and sort of arc over my head and head straight for the cement driveway on my right. But think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...IF you get lucky, the blue shirt will go to his/her manager and speak about it... the manager will then come over to you and say, yes we can cancel the 2 year contract and you'll have to wait for your upgrade eligibility to kick back in, which generally takes 5-10 mins... if you cancelled twice, you're SOL as it locks the upgrade and you'll have to call AT&T and they'll have to call some other to have it restored which will take 3-5 business days... to avoid that, if you're on a family plan, I'd suggest you pre-order with another line thats not looking to upgrade right away... that way your upgrade is available right away and theres no waiting around... if you're the only line, I'd suggest you log into your AT&T mobile app and keep refreshing the upgrade eligibility page until you see it kick in... once they cancel the 2 year contract, theres an option for the NEXT or you can purchase the phone "device only" which means you pay for the phone completely, right there... again, I've experienced stores where they will flat out tell you they cant do such a thing, blah blah blah, cancelling will put the phone back into their online pre-order batch, which is BS... you just need to get lucky and have a blue shirt willing to do it for you...I'm not saying I believe every single thing I read here, I'm not naive, but nor am I unrealistic.Did that and the apps were updated, after a short while. The funny thing is that instead of showing 'Open' beside every updated app in the updates section of the App Store,it shows 'Update'.I've confirmed that the apps were updated (compared the latest version in the App Store and on my phone, they were the same). Not that it actually affects anything but i just find it weird. The one thing that has me amazed, I use to have to take a few pictures to get one in focus the way I want, the new 6+ with the stabilization almost always gives me great focus!Even directly insulting you isn't spam, though it wouldn't be a very nice thing to do.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKI keep hearing about how great the battery life is, which is the thing I'm most excited for.Sent it back, glad to be rid of the thing, back to my wonderful iPhone 5 (although this too has a slight yellowish screen, can't win!).I am glad that people are getting lucky and finding one in stock, but this whole pre-order thing is over for me.Like I tell people, it's great if you're a tinkerer and the kind of person who wants to spend hours customizing every little thing about the phone.Funny thing is that the picture quality does increase tremendously when switching to black & white Again, for a smartphone the camera in the 6 is no different than previous models, it works fine so be happy with it.Having owned a caboodle of high tech equipment, and being what you may call an OCD when it comes to keeping my equipment in perfect looking condition, I've learned a thing or two on how I should properly take care of my precious devices, specially ones with glass on them. This site is driving me crazy I can't keep coming here and obsessing on WHEN WILL I GET MY PHONE I'm not getting a damn thing done On the bright side I do have a fancy new iPhone 6 Plus CASE I can carry around and fantasize about what it might be like to carry around a real phone Maybe I should just go get a big 'ol magnifying glass to make my 5s look bigger in the mean time Oh and my wife - she thinks we all are crazy tracking every baby step our phones are taking from conception to delivery out the birth canal We are by the way .Broadly speaking, the screen is utterly gorgeous and everything (bar this one thing...) looks great on it.My 6 is perfect in every single way, looked at it every millimeter, every part of it, everything is flawless, BESIDES ONE THING AND it is bothering my OCD part of me hard.Like another post said the most shocking thing is that they don't seem to understand what they did its wrong, thats why a lot of kids grow up to be a pos since they grow up doing this kind of things and never face major consequences about it.The iPhone thing is bad, but there are worse out there. You say that like that beautiful screen is a bad thing and not a gift!So lets leave these threads with one thing in common....you be happy with your 6 and stop complaining about how BIG the 6+ is, and I will be happy with my 6+ and won't care how you use your 6.the bend thing isn't ridiculous, its not going to bend in your front pocket if your not in some weird awkward position.Seriously, the whole "gate" thing stopped being funny or clever a looong time ago.So Im reading this thread and kind of excited that I may actually be able to get an iPhone 6 since the thing that was holding me back was having to pay full price to keep my unlimited data.Considering selling it, but as cheap as the base model is retail, probably better worth it to just keep the dang thing.Yep you are lucky, funny thing is that on the tracking it still shows on time with delivery by EOD today lol...3) Health This is a nice thing about the new iPhone is it keeps track of steps and distance walked on its own, which is kinda nice how you dont have to install a specific app for it.Looking at my case is the only thing that keeps me sane...well somewhat sane...I am looking at a case pretending there is a phone in it.Then I checked out the 5.5 and thought geez this thing is huge, but after a moment of playing with it it wasn't so bad, however I put my phones in my front pocket (you know being a guy and all) and although I know it would fit in my front pocket it would be very uncomfortable because of how huge it is.and you want us to "Switch on that thing that sits between your ears" I had some of the earliest smart phones going back to windows phone's, ect.. and I never ever put a smart phone in my pocket most of the time, yes I do sometimes with dress pants, but never jeans, and I posted 2 links to 2 samsung phones that broke in pockets.I have a friend on Facebook who feels the need to do this kind of thing with his new LG phone, only 2 months ago he was telling everyone how he was moving away from the iPhone blah blah blah, he was out of contract, the usual stuff people say. This feels reactionary, not revolutionary (also, it was amusing to see Apple launch a large phone like such a thing didn't exist and have people freak out the way they did..I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6 one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal, love apple along w/my mini bags, first thing i grabbed was my smallest bag and voila it fit perfect!iPhone 6+ Gold 128GB on Verizon So worth the wait man, this thing is beautiful.I love their pricing / service / options, but man they're terrible for this kind of thing...This is kind of like the "I'm not racist, but..." Twitter thing.I'll still just be as happy, at the end of the day, stuff happens...the only thing you can do is get something (from ATT) to make it worth the wait. The thing is that it is gaudy, it is crowded but it isn't bad every once in a while. They are very friendly and accommodating for this kind of thing, and I have done it before many times in-store without any issues. That being said, the nice thing for Apple to do after years of proclaimining they had mobile phone operation "figured out" and that 3.5-4" was the "perfect size" would have been to at least offer one as an OPTION.Well this is the first thing that came to my mind I am a developer and I know there are many creative developers out there who could do great things with NFC on iPhoneIf you wear form fitting pants/jeans that thing will look mighty funny in your pants...yes!Funny thing is years ago when I lived in California I also lived in a location that most people consider typically Southern California..A nice 2 story apartment building in a small canyon full of sagebrush and cactus, built around a big kidney shaped pool with palm trees all around. One thing you always can trust Apple for is an amazing quality of product, and also an amazing quality of service if something is wrong with that product. With the 5.5 inch high resolution screen I can finally use my iPhone kind of like an old view camera, which is what I wanted to do with my iPad, but it's just too large for that kind of thing.buy it unlocked and got to t-mobile $30 plan or straight talk only way it makes it a smart thing to do...$$$ wiseThe bigger screen of the Nexus 4 was and still is beautiful to me, the freedom to change keyboards was a big thing and swipe to type is an amazing feature.I'm sure many here will go into a fit of rage since it's kind of the in thing to hate U2 nowadays, but just wanted to pass along some pretty strong rumors that have started making rounds around Twitter from music journalists and sources inside Univeral Records/U2's camp that there is going to be some kind of tie in with U2 next Tuesday, possibly resulting in their new album or single being preloaded on the iPhone 6.I think that the iPhone 6 design is absolutely amazing and incredible, how thin it is and all the technology its gonna be packed in it with that build quality (aluminum/sapphire glass screen or synthetic sapphire) Thing looks absolutely beautiful if leaks are true, its gonna be a absolute joy to hold and use and look atI been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.I have done the waiting in line thing, and while it was kind of exciting. That's not a bad thing though as it's a nice looking deviceI just upgraded to the iPhone 5s and for my need it a great phone all though I had to take it back cause it had issues in the first three months the off and on thing, until then I had the 4s and it worked great.Either way carriers would destroy allot of their user base if they got rid of subsidizing because that would end contracts...Verizon already has that program where you essentially "lease" your phone like a car...I'm guessing the pre-paid revolution is either scaring them or costing them a little.. Another funny thing that inflates the price of a smart phone: CDMA2000 only! It's these kind of questions that make me realize that the whole " No question is a dumb question" thing is just not true. The funny thing is that I dress kinda junkie and I listen to old school music (like Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, CCR, The Doors etc) and I walk around with a fancy champagne-gold phone.I have learnt one thing you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great smart phone. The funny thing is that its kind of seasonal with Apple's release cycles.Haha this is great most hilarious thing I've heard in my life. So, the compelling reasons boils down to (1) saving a bit of cash at the moment, and (2) maybe going for something even better in 6-10 months when the next great thing comes out of Cupertino. It works great for that kind of thing.I can't believe there is people that despise the design of the iPhone 5S, come on the thing is absolutely beautiful, I got the silver one and it seriously is a work of art, most beautiful phone ever, In fact the beautiful design and the smoothness of IOS are the only reasons I stay faithful to the brand, that tacky 5c can't even compareI'll tell ya what, I'm gonna do something you don't see on the internet very often: I'm gonna look deep into AppleCare+ and see if maybe it really is worth it and would make leaving the thing naked worth it.And the 5c fits right into an iPhone 5 case, the only thing is the volume button shape which throws off an otherwise perfect fit.The funny thing is I get great LTE at my house where I don't need it because I'm on Wi-Fi most the time.Great post mate and im still loving mine, had a few snide comments at work about having a yellow phone but then caught the main one looking at new iphones on the web lol Still pick this thing up and love it, have gone white with 4, 4S and 5 but agree the black front totally works with the vibrant colours, white would just not give the same look im also amazed at the number of U turns from 5S back to 5C, love it, keep any more pics coming as love seeing them and it keeps this great thread going! If you are sincere then you've already hit on the only realistic solution, cover the thing. The only other thing worth mentioning is that I had a custom "uncommon" brand clear case on the phone that fit rather tightly. It's kind of funny with this water thing, I had a second gen iPod touch a few years ago and somehow I managed to render the sleep button useless from my sweat on an arm band after a run.My favorite thing on this is the glowing apple logo and the apple logo home button, the home button on this is probably capactative which would be great if apple introduced that. One thing for sure though, now that Apple is offering us the unlocked iPhone I think it will force the companies to offer amazing deals to keep us locked in....if they do, I'll definitely be happy to save the money and sign again...I figure I'm going to need a phone for another 3 year anyhow, so if the price is right, I will. It's the latest and greatest thing, very 2.0, and so Apple is wise to include it with their phone. But, telling me some Android phone was "more advanced" 2 years ago is meaningless to me if the thing that is being pointed to as "advanced" is something irrelevant to me.20 nm 64 bit apple A8> 28nm Snapdragon 805 Cameras are both top notch and cream of the crop , no real , clear winner there Touch ID is king fingerprint scanner sensor and the Note 4 swipe with your thumb BS is not as good note 4 has the best OLED display ever while the 6 Plus has the best LCD smartphone display ever, both are top notch, 6 has a little less resolution but still good Funny thing is that 6 and 6 Plus uses actually newer technology and more cutting edge hardware, a SoC on a 20nm manufacturing node custom designed by Apple In house own ISP now too Both are great devices though but people who say it uses "2012 technology" and "lol wow only 1.4 ghz dual core my Galaxy S3 is faster with 1.5 ghz dual core" just have no understanding at all on all this Fanboys gonna be fanboys , but the 6 Plus and 6 are actually one of the best if not the best peforming smartphone right now on both the CPU/GPU side Totally wrong , 6 and 6 Plus completly utterly destroys anything from 2012, the SoC (which houses the CPU/GPU/ISP/RAM) basically everything, is quite different and not similiar to tech specs back then ARMv8 custom design is drastically different then what has been used in the past What people dont understand at all is that you want faster better single core performance and better IPC always, espcially on mobile devices, this is beyond crucial and key for mobile developing (for obvious reasons; these devices using batteries and thermal constraints etc etc) Same thing with why a Intel quad core is noticeably faster then a AMD quad core thats clocked alot higher speeds then the Intel quad core Its because Intels single core performance and architecture design is SUPERIOR, very little people understand what even makes a CPU design, single core performance and IPC is beyond important and crucial and key for mobile , why would someone want to deal with more weaker single cores and code for all them and try to get parrlellization and efficiency on all cores properly when it is a headache already developing software and games for a bunch of cores on desktop(and multicore processors started coming out 8 years ago) Throwing more cores at it does not increase performance for situations and problems automatically linearly 6 way wide superscaler 1.4 ghz Enhanced cyclone cores on ARM's latest architecture design (ARMv8 or 64 bit) OP I suggest you look up on the A7/A8 details , it is more comparable to Intel Haswell processors then it is to what Qualcomm offers actually in terms of performanceGood thing I'm an honest kind of guy and didn't take this one, then go in later and do it again since the system would have shown I hadn't picked it up yet. Some display units may exhibit it, some may not, thats the thing with LCD technology, it is not 100% perfect and this is where OLED has advantages in having perfect screen uniformity and no backlight(OLED has issues of its own too though) Id say just keep it, nd just relax...slowly overtime too itll go away the backlight as we start to use our phones even more I believe, or itll just dim enough to the point where it is gone eventually....if you truly want to get your phone completly replaced , its really hit or miss with the Genius's, you could of told them, "hey this issue just started developing and im afraid itll get worse over time," etc etc.At the time I had no idea what his reason could have been but dishonesty always troubles me and only bad things seem to follow and I felt that we had time to stop the whole thing from getting ugly.Excessive thread locking and post deletion and banning has destroyed countless formerly great forums - deleting spam is one thing but vibrant forums that stay vibrant are typically the least moderated.Borg.... resistance is futile...you will be assimilated... you will be the same unsubscribed ps... am I the only one who thinks its weird that their iPhones are so important to them they cannot miss a call or text that its life or death each time... that given all that they actually put the thing down and walk away from it.Anyway, I will go ahead and say the phone is the only thing I have in my lonely, really bad life.It would be annoying and there maybe a reason they don't do that, but it would do the same thing without majorly upsetting users of Apple Pay/Google Wallet/ISIS, etc.My mom had her iPad stolen once, I activated Find my iPhone on it prior but it did practically nothing...the guy that "found it" (he's got a record so I was weary) erased the whole thing....was sketchy overall and kind of pissed me off but oh well.It is by far the worst thing I have to say about this phone, even worse than battery life. But I have a picture with a first gen iPhone next to my plus and damn that thing was puny.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...What a strange and absurd thing to say.The weird thing is, turning this on and using it for more than a couple minutes, the icons on the home screen and photo displays actually kinda give me a weird case of nausea. But the thing that you seem to have missed (since 1994) isnt that you are stopping discussions with "truth" you are stopping discussions because you annoy people with such irrational thinking that they dont bother trying to reason with an unreasonable person.I swapped to a note 3 then S5 worst thing i have ever done with tech, especially with a MBPr and iPad.They don't play nice together. The 6 plus is great but it doesn't get rid of that stale iOS feeling of the same thing for 7 years now.One thing I've learned in my old age - the world is a cruel, cruel place.Besides, I've seen some research on this very thing and it turns out that people are just as rude and vicious when using their real names. Its so strange to me that Space Gray is more popular, since the iPhone 5 I was worried that Black iPhones might have become a thing of the past!To believe that sapphire is less than ideal simply because traditionally used sapphire as we know it and as it's used today is less than ideal, is to not understand Apple as a company, I think, and how they've completely changed how things are done and what is(n't) possible from manufacturing and engineering standpoint Picking nits now: While that's indeed true, I also know that even though I'm from the south, saying, "God bless her, but..." doesn't excuse or sterilize any nasty thing I say about a person thereafter. The only thing I'm worried about is if Apple fixed their lighting cables, because I'm honestly tired of having my cables wear turtlenecks. Here's the thing too many of you are getting hung up on "it doesn't feel cheap next to a cheap competitor."I was told to setup as new, which I've already tried Interesting thing though - he said that these apps are having problems, so I am going to try a fresh restore again, downloading the firmware again as well, as he seems to think it is corrupt (the firmware): backboardd, com.apple.WebKit, SpringBoard From my jailbreaking days, I know that backboardd is an integral daemon that runs along side springboard, which is also corrupt, per the tech Will restore as new tonight and report back tomorrow afternoon Let us know what they say!My is still processing but I'll be keeping my 6+ Only thing I'm worried about is when they're gonna finally ship the damn thing. It makes no sense to attach "gate" to any word to automatically infer that it means a scandal, and this whole thing can get rather annoying and tiresome. If this is somehow a narrow thing and a non issue, which seems doubtful at this point, great but as It stands if the phone Is bending in a front pocket there is a definite problem and apple should have either engineered around it and honeycombed the metal and reinforced it or made the phone thicker.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Being ignorant about something potentially very serious is not the most intelligent thing to doSitting on the same thing ... to me they can get it to us tomorrow ... and I'm gonna be pretty unhappy if it carries over into Thurs ... since I am not home all day and even picking it up will be annoying as I have class all day ..The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.Your own impatience is the only thing making it 'outrageous' and 'unbearable'.Strange thing is if I use it I get worse or same as applesI don't have it yet, I do have placed a pre-order though, and the only thing I'm really 'worried' about is whether or not it will actually fit in my pants (front).I'm "upgrading" from the 4S and I gotta say that as weird as this may sound, I really like the thickness of it because - another weird thing here - I can feel its weight in my pocket (yes POCKET) and it reminds me where I put it!And of course the worst thing about this is, I am at the mercy of ATT and their iPhone 6 inventory (which is quite abysmal). The major major thing with the 6+ is how shocking bad safari behaves.I usually don't mind this kind of thing because of the battery issue, but the 6 and 6 plus have great battery life so there's no more excuse to not put 2GB of RAM in it...and one last thing; do not give advice on this or any forum based on unfounded assumptions or wishful thinking, the internet is becoming overloaded with dubious information. The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies. The plus owners will think " i thought im going to watch a lot of movies and playing games with this thing, but 90% of the usage actually chatting and soc med and this thing is so big and annoying it's very hard to use with one hand, i should have got the 6 instead damn!!!"Hmm...I saw the same thing when I put in my phone numbers and then a fake number to see what was happening, but if I put in a fake number (even a valid land line number) it doesn't work. It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date.Well, it's a good thing you aren't exaggerating and adopting an insulting tone to "support" your rebuttal, because if you were that would make it significantly less compelling. The only thing that could cause that bad of battery life is if you're in an area with really bad coverage and it's doing a lot of searching\low-bar data...I was just going to suggest one that can fit an iPad Mini but that thing is beautiful. Can't wait until it's revealed that Lord Zedd used his evil powers to steal all the iPhones, thus meaning that none of us are getting a damn thingThat thing is bizarre, way too big for a phone, nice if you don't have a tablet already.I know I can order and get it delivered next Friday but I kind of want to experience the waiting in line thing as dumb as it may be.Maybe this is not worth a post, but last night a funny thing happened. Now it becomes an awkward thing for both people (cashiers touching nasty phones/nasty cashiers touching my personal phone) etc. It's the same thing every time we have one of these.... Everyone gets all spun up and Apple Logos appear in their eyes....We make ludicrous posts about how Apple is the greatest and we can't wait to stand in line at 3 am to purchase it.... And then the Keynote happens and we will come back and say what an awful update that was and how underwhelmed we are by the newest Apple offerings....Then we may buy it...We may preorder it but only because the battery life sucks on the 6 month old 5S we currently have....Trying to ascribe bad motives to whoever had the device blacklisted is just sick, and it's wrong, and it's a pathetic whiny excuse to avoid doing the right thing and turning it in to the police. The main thing stopping me from doing so is I am worried that apple can tell if an esn is bad or activation lock I sensed. While there are people who will defend something here and there because of this or that, there are certainly quite a few of those who will simply explain what their use is like and/or what they think is behind a particular design/functionality without necessarily saying it's the best thing ever and can't be better, but also without going crazy about it and how bad it is and how bad Apple is and how it's all horrible.on the contrary, web browsing is the main thing I use my phone for, I've never had "ram" issues but I don't look for trouble, having 8 open tabs is dumbof the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedThe thing that is annoying is people take comments personally like you are insulting their kids or something.I've already replaced the screen myself with a cheap Chinese knockoff after shattering it one drunk night in platform heels, so I'm familiar with the guts of the thing.A few months after having my phone i dropped it and where the sim card would go popped open which was weird and noticed it had a sim card which i am pretty sure it never had another weird thing it was a at&t sim card and my google number was assigned to it which i know i never did. Here's the strange thing about my service.....I can have terrible service one day and then decent service the very next day, same exact location (standing in my front yard).Hope this helps some of you out because this battery thing had me furious and frustrated!I have to be honest, I am not very knowledgeable on this kind of thing, and so far my google searches have produced zilch, BUT I was wondering if anyone might have some information on the ST iPhone 4.Yes, there are shady Geniuses who would suggest such a thing, but they do not represent the vast majority of them so your argument is invalid. After a while trying to understand why my fullchargecapacity was dropping like crazy(sort of 50mAh per charge), a noticed something: Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I guess this is THE THING that is giving to the users a variety of different fullchargecapacities, my example: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1243 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false I let my iphone plugged in to my computer, and after a while i opened the ibackupbot again, but this time something showed up differently: Cyclecount: 38 Fullchargecapacity: 1304 Batterycurrentcapacity:100 Batteryischarging:true Fullycharged:false So, I guess my advice is, if you want the app to accurately measure your fullchargecapacity, you have to wait till the batteryischarging:false and fullycharged:true.BUT, dear friends, the worst annoying thing is that 3D Games and scenes looking worst on this faulty screens!I do believe I am slowly spiraling down into a rainbow colored psychedelic twisted full blown level 5 code red delusional brain melt down waiting for this thing. And the last thing I want is too get a replacement that is worse than my current week 39: -3 flat -2 long edge -2 short edge This is definitely the worse apple issue I have faced throughout the 10 different purchases I've made over the years!Nothing really I have my wifi and Bluetooth on, but I turned off most the the location services I don't need and left only the ones I need like camera, find my iphone etc, with everything thing on I should get close to 7-9 hours, but to be honest I mostly used it so far for normal usage, no map usage today such as Waze, it drains battery power like mad, I'll post update lasted tomorrow after using Waze to show the difference in battery power. It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneI already tried to get used to the no surf and talk while on data and the annoying "multiple calls" thing when you get another call while being on one, it says multiple, if you hang up with one, the other goes away and rings you back, beyond weird, i realize this is a CDMA thing along w/ super slow 3g when LTE is not avail. The thing that does disturb me on a routine usage is the vertical scan lines or interlaced lines, which makes me dizzy and gives me sore eyes. The strange thing is that is I switched the phone off then on again it would all work ok, I noticed this on Friday and over the weekend, I called Apple Support who did not have a clue about what to do, strange that it has been fine yesterday and today. That looks stunning The only thing I don't like is the home button put on the frame, thats so android like and I never liked it on my friends device but the rest looks great & I also like the light up Apple Logo but that would be replaced by the home button again, maybe the lil square lines of that button could light up when I get a notification, I would welcome it...otherwise it depresses me that we all have so many wonderful ideas but we all know that Apple will never implement them into the final productThere could very well be bad publicity for Apple, they will be releasing a product which is somewhat defective right when you turn it on..... Sure Apple has alot of people who will still buy the device regardless of how many probs the thing has, but then you have people who will come after Apple just like they would any other company who releases a broken product and does nothing to fix it.This is the problem with spending your time reading Macrumors I guess, people can make mockups that look realistic but are unrealistically small/thin and have features that Apple won't or can't add yet, then when the real thing is released it looks bad by comparison.
service
I think Spark is just their fancy marketing term for TD-LTE in Band 41 and 800MHz in Band 26, sort of like how "XLTE" is just a fancy marketing term for Verizon's AWS Band 4 LTE service.just be very nice and ask them to "please help you"....this is what u switched too..blah and that you are so happy with the service you would not want to leave for another carrier but have tested another network and will port the # over and save $'s by doing so.T-Mobile is awesome...been with them since they started the uncarrier plans and service ( both RF and CS ) is great in Texas and Colorado.I have a 128gb iPhone 6+ ..no problems all the rumors(gates) floating around the internet are all BS ..my iphone hasn't bent ..my 128gb tlc hasnt died ..my screen is perfect ..I get better service than on the Note 3 bottom line is ..unless apple acknowledges the problem or someone posts substantive empirical evidence that has been repeated with the same results by another party ...then its a fake rumor you need not trouble yourself withIn my opinion, I think both AT&T and Verizon are greedy but AT&T seems a little more greedier (they throttle unlimited plans, they have a significantly higher price for the note 4, and their single plans are more expensive even with the promo) With that being said, Verizon's customer service has been a nightmare, so to anyone that's happy with AT&T's customer service, I would not recommend them to switch.T-mobile is a great deal and if you have great service in your area, then nothing can beat it's value for price, unless you travel often and need coverage everywhere.great service and great LTE coverage.Unl data promotion is only if you are leaving Sprint, ATT or Verizon, but $25 gift is for all newbies to Simple Choice.. Tmo customer service can be confusing but the referral program is a great bonus for both old and new customers. That was the reason (as we all know In this factory by the sea) That the sidewalk so dark and hard Shattered and killed my iPhone 33 But his service was faster by far than the service Of phones who were older than he Of many far slower than he And neither the angels in factories above Nor the sidewalks down under the sea Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful iPhone 33 For my phone never rings without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful iPhone 33 And so all the night-tide I lie down by the side Of my darling-my darling I weep and I cry In the factory there by the sea On the sidewalk down by the seaI also purchased a basic phone as a second line.... Later in the day i got a phone call saying my card was declined..called and approved but at that point my order was pushed further in the que... waited and waited and nothing changed... until today and kept checking this forum to see where everyone was at....and after finally waiting for so long i gave up and was LUCKY enough to find a device at a Best Buy Mobile store via: idevicechecker.com I would definetely recommend it..got there wiht no line and got my new SILVER 128 gb plus...and I decided to stay with my carrier.. ATT customer service was worthless...they didn't know what they were talking about and was always getting the run around..ontop of that the LG basic phone I ordered was in stock but they never shipped it to me and its always says backordered.....Glad to be of service - it's keeping me sane as well!I've purchased iPhones for as long as they've been out there, sung the praises of Apple to the mountaintops, and slowly filled my home with Macbook, iMac, multiple iPads and iPods, not to mention spent $1000s in music in iTunes...and there's the rub, it's because I've been such a loyal customer, accustomed to wonderful and rapid service, that this botched rollout has raised my ire, this is not what I'm accustomed to with Apple, and galling is a great description of my feelings at present.Apple has great customer service and people seem to be incapable of understanding that you will get better service being nice and honest.Amazing service, great speed, great CS [ in general ] and pricing is very reasonable all things considered.I love their pricing / service / options, but man they're terrible for this kind of thing...Ahh, so happy Apple has such great customer service.I've never heard of a company being so unconcerned and impervious to customer service. Not bad for "horrible" service.Faster delivery, amazing customer service, trustworthyI am excited for the iPhone for life plan they launched and ordered my 6+ Space Grey 16GB online...I am going to try out the store on Friday to see if I can get one that way faster though I used to live in a more remote area and Verizon was great there with the i5 and LTE but now that I am moving to a much bigger city Sprint service really won't be a problem at all and I'm excited for UNLIMITED data planI was moving my lines from AT&T after moving to a place where AT&T does not serve the area so I am dying here without any phone service!I was moving my lines from AT&T after moving to a place where AT&T does not serve the area so I am dying here without any phone service! One thing you always can trust Apple for is an amazing quality of product, and also an amazing quality of service if something is wrong with that product.Having a FAST LTE on a plan that is not unlimited can be problematic so it would be nice to have Sprint as an option (of course assuming you are in a Sprint LTE service area). We all know for nationwide coverage Verizon and AT&T are the only carriers one should look for and the key word there is "Nationwide" but, where I'm T-Mobile is the best (coverage wise and cost wise) and since I'm 57 years old and use to travel with car Radio and 8-tracks I really don't mind Edge or no service while I'm driving since again the key word there is "Driving" and not playing with my phone .Even though I'm quite happy with T-Mobile because it offers great service for my use pattern and priorities, I'm not going to recommend it to anyone who wants/needs the broadest network coverage possible, and is willing to pay more to get it.Service us great and the plans are wonderful.Overall, it's a great service and I'm happy to use FreedomPop.we believe that we can provide you quite satisfactory service & deliver amazing merchandise at low cost.Service was great (then again, I've had good service with AT&T as well, lucky I guess). They had great service and I was super happy. You got lucky Great customer service to still take care of you even after the warranty coverage expired. Also T-Mobile have great customer service, perhaps because they have something to prove, regardless I always liked that, people around here associate T-Mobile with people who are less well off financially (its arrogant but thats the type in my area) but from all accounts T-Mobile customers are pretty happy as of lately and it seams everytime I blink they get better and better. If you all have great service with TMO it might be worth it to stick with them for that reason. My coworker let me borrow one of his lines and test AT&T because I told him my test with my Verizon iPhone last month was an epic fail Turns out this test was flawless at my home using his account So yesterday Verizon lost my 3 line account to AT&T- I had to get my iPhone 5s reprovisioned again which was the issue the last time and why service was so slow on AT&TFor me and many others T-mobile offers great service and great value. They have great customer service and always have great reception in the Phoenix area.End result is, I'm not the least bit impressed with new LTE service download speeds are just as bad if not worst that with old sim and it cost me about $300 in upgrades to find this out.You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; Too much switching of LTE to 4G in the same spot killing my battery, loss of signal even though i have 3-4 bars, and not having any of these issues on AT&T prepaid, I made the switch back as of today. You won't find anywhere that I said Sprint was great and that 3G service was wonderful. And if you aren't happy with any of their repairs or service just let them know there customer service is great at making things right.I also ported my number successfully, their customer service is great and you always get some sexy British representative in seconds as its a British company.2nd: the ideal scenario will involve some kind of software/ app/ call through, callback/ ring-through service that will allow me to dial out to a business contact using my business caller ID, from the personal number. With their recent adaption to a smart phone plan I've been quite pleased with data speeds and service coverage.Yep, agreed, but like you mentioned, to me Price is a consideration, however for me, if I had to pay a little more for better service, then it is worth it, if I were paying a little less for mediocre service not so bad, but to pay T-Mob $150.00 per month for 3 lines which is slightly lower then my bill now, and to have 1/2 the service, I can not do it.I'll take my college degree, great job, and my great cell phone service and you can call me low end all day long, but at the end of the day (and my contract) I will have paid less for the same device you have.I want to keep this phone bad but constantly having no service and edge (just as useless, cant even make calls) in my own room is kind of a dealbreaker.Very happy with AT&T customer service (always had great experiences with them)!Yeah I thought about that but I've been with Virgin for 5-6 years now and always had great customer service and I really like their plan (they have great ones for students).Their service seems to get notoriously worse and worse.People rag on Apple, some issues to be sure but great customer service is worth a lot.I just get tired of people complaining about reception and service, but they stick with the carrier because they are afraid of change, or too lazy to do the research. You seem like the questionable one here, siding with a company known for horrible customer service and wanting to get users off grand fathered unlimited plans at all costs.I did not realize that Sprint had such a terrible customer service... it's really puzzling since they are not even in a dominant position compared to say Verizon or AT&T, so one would think that they would be trying to provide better service, rather than the worst. So yes, they'll get angry when retailers shutting down their terminals just because they want to shove their inferior service down our throats.I am sure A LOT of people are tired of the unfair prices of a bad valued service. One time I took my SIM card out in a bad signal area and put it bag in and I had no service for about an hour even when I got back onto the Interstate from a friends house....something weird with Verizon and LTE iPhone's....I found Verizon to be one of the worst services I've used (more so than T-Mo), from dropped calls and some of the worst customer service I've experienced. With the FCC unlocking policy changing effective Feb 2015 (although not retroactive) and the overturning of the insane law that made unlocking phones from outside the provider illegal I would go ahead and get it fully unlocked from one of those websites....Sprint are insane with their strict UICC SIM card being locked to the phone and only allow one unlock per account per year....I mean God knows they need it since their company sucks, I hope this changes because even though I didn't like Sprint's past and current service and deployment plan the new CEO is really changing things up to a more sensible solution. The Ngage was a horrible phone on a horrible service (T-mobile).Personally, I think overall the service is better in my normal stomping ground, and 'good enough' everywhere else until next year when things are all rolled out -- and I'm tired of paying evil companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast, and whenever I have a choice, I will avoid buying services from them.199 for a Verzion iPhone 6 + 52 tax +32 activation fee -199 for iPhone 4 trade in (CL value is ~70 tops) + prorated service (~55 for one month) = 83+ dollars 10-20 buck verzion CL phone + 50 lumina refurb + 10 sim fee + 120 2 months service T-mobile [worst case scenario] - 20 sell lumia phone =60+ dollars (180 worst case) 180 + 84 = 264 252 is about price I would pay on AT&T for an iPhone 4 + tax.worst case, if the service gets that bad, ill go back to att on a family share plan.Frustrated and angry at this incredibly poor customer service from UPS....will never do business with them again.- pathetic , incompetent service oh yeah and it's still in Korea! It's the worst service at the worst price. The Customer service rep was rude and acted like i was dumb and seriously used "lol" in the chat.... And every time I have a question they NEVER answer my question they use a damn script.VZW: Pro's: VoLTE Better LTE coverage Con's: Horrible International Rates/Plans VoLTE speeds seem to be slower than 3G for many (still early though) Terrible Customer Service Tons of "extra's" popping up AT&T: Pro's: GSM Voice+Data - 4G, not LTE, but seems faster than VZW's VoLTE Best International Plans Con's: Abysmal LTE coverage I've found both carriers to be fairly equal with dropped calls, my concerns are international rates, VoLTE on VZW, AT&T's LTE commitment.Ranting on twitter about the HORRIBLE UNACCEPTABLE customer service I have received with no resolution to my issue in sight, an AT&T rep responded and asked for my account details.Used sndeep service to check it and this is what I got: Model: IPHONE 6 SPACE GRAY 64GB TMOBILE-USA IMEI: 3520XXXXXXXXXX MEID: Serial Number: F1XXXXXXXXXXXXX ICCID: Bluetooth MAC Address: XXXXXXXXXXXXX WiFi MAC Address: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Activated: false Next Tether Activation Policy: Multi-Mode Unlock Original Carrier: Multi-Mode Unlock Network Unlocked: false So, it looks like as soon as the phone can dial into Apple, the unlock will happen if I understand this report correctly.Buy cheap phone from t-mobile ($50) and trade in a cheap Android phone I have laying around the house I don't use, stay on for 2-3 months for ETF rebate to process, then cancel service .They have great coverage but boy is there customer service freakin horrible. They have bad customer service, expensive tariffs and are just a bit awful. They're website seems absurd to pick a decent plan from and if they're wireless customer service is anything like their internet service, I don't think I'll be happy with them.I live in a rural area and their service has gotten worse and worse.No...because they have a terrible network and everyone I know that has Sprint has bad service.I'm annoyed, so I call the customer service number from the website, and I tell the person that I wasn't happy with the service I received in the apple store, they ask for which store, and when I tell them, they're like "okay, I'll connect you to the store manager" and before I can say anything, they transfer.I see a lot of posts saying service was as bad or worse than expected.iPhone5s Defective Battery - Genius Bar Rejection Twice, horrible AppleCare Service *Reported all these issues, Apple is now "investigating it" Whatever means, just s slap on the wrist for them*After having consistently terrible service at our new home last year (to the point of getting a MicroCell) I placed a call to AT&T to try and figure out why my service was so bad.I saw really no difference in the 2 services tho I was worried when I would travel or go places because when you visit Tmobile they mention all the places it doesn't work that I never experienced when I was with verizon(awful awful customer service) or AT&T(ask to speak to a manager and you will get 2-4 free months of service). It even faired excellent during the infamous Ice Storm this Christmas, when most of my friends on other networks got bad service with connection drops, interferences, etc, or no service at all.My attempt was to share what I heard from a friend who Is unhappy with their service in NYC not to discount others with perfect Verizon service in NYC I'm done with this thread OP my suggestion is do a trial and see if it works for you.of the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedMost stores here in Canada have bad customer service these days or horrible pre sale assistance.I had been on AT&T since 2010 and just moved to T-Mobile, as mentioned above, love the unlimited data not to mention the talk and text, my plan on AT&T used to be 450m/1000text/2gb data for a monthly charge of $75+tax and now I have unlimited data/talk/text for $30+tax (add on in a family plan) , its awesome , however the service in my home sometimes drops , when I called Customer Service I was told New Tower installation is imminent. Here's the strange thing about my service.....I can have terrible service one day and then decent service the very next day, same exact location (standing in my front yard). It can be very frustrating, and usually the companies doing this have very lousy customer service if you ever do have a problem.I get amazing 4g/lte speeds but it would be nice if tmobile would include unlimited 4g/lte on all lines included in the price or unlimited hotspot so that I can cancel my home internet service. After 2.5GB, they will throttle you to less than 1 Mbps which is awful and visual voicemail may or may not work and their customer service are worst.I actually had my iPhone 5 replaced today which had the same issue but it was replaced because it was getting noticeably worse service and there was a lot of dust in the camera lens which was throwing off pictures and also the phone was dropping service but anyway, my battery drain is gone, plus especially on "4G" not LTE, its not draining even close to as bad as before even with only 1-3 dots of servicePeople run over to Sprint trying to save a few bucks a year and end up sorely disappointed and/or frustrated with the poor service.Swift unlock is very rude and disrespectful,He called my cousin a wetback and nikka because he was told his service is too slow.very racist people..stay away from swift unlock/unlock fusion.I have been a T-Mobile iPhone user for about a three years now..at first i had to deal with the terrible speed of EDGE since the iPhone is not built to run on T-Mobile's network..about two months ago i was finally able to get 3G on my iPhone 5 thanks to T-Mobile's attempt to upgrade their network to be able to drag more iPhone users to join their network...I'll admit at first i was really excited about this but after two weeks of 3G coming in and out, weak signal, dropping calls i finally said i've had enough, my iPhone would drop from 3G to EDGE at random times and even go NO SERVICE!!You need to delete this post ... Unlock fusion IS LEGIT and provides great service ... And I don't know him but I'm happy cuz my AT&T contract will be cancelled tomorrow... Hello tmobileChristopher: We called about that before and the lady and her supervisor were so rude and unwilling to look into it, I was very close to closing the account all together, but my son actually convinced me not to because he loves your service Alfonso : I understood that and we appreciate you for staying with us.Rogers really is terrible and their customer service is just as bad.

bug
It's cool that we're all excited about getting our new phones but let's not bug Apple reps with silly questions just because we're excited.Hi guys, I suppose that most of the people are excited about the new iPhone, just like me, but I just discovered a strange flashlight bug on my white 5c.The 6 Plus considerably outperforms the Note 4, it gets noticeably better on screen frame rate in games and 3D applications then the Note 4(which also translate to smoother UI performance and stuff like that, there is no reason why the Note 4 stutters and lags in native phone app when scrolling and just scrolling through the home screen) There are tons of demonstrations and benchmarks that clearly show the 6 Plus is the better performer, both off screen/on screen results, it isnt a comparison Nexus 6 suffers from terribly slow read/write speeds due to the FDE in Lollipop, and also Lollipop is completly bug ridden right now You can mention Facebook as a indicator because alot of Android apps still lag and are pretty ******, alot of apps share in common with the Facebook app in terms of performance, its abysmal and sad, the worse GPU/CPU performance and worse battery life is why i went with the 6 Plus over the Note 4 You must of missed or are intentionally deluding/blocking your self out from all the real world/benchmark results that showed the 6 Plus beating the Note 4 about a month ago (Anandtech, few others reporting this ) Hey, Apple is doing something really right though if it offers better performance then the current smartphone competition right now though (better GPU/CPU performance then the 805) and also offers better battery life then current Snapdragon 805 offerings People complain about the "RAM " issue on iOS devices meanwhile Android devices with 2-3x more RAM are still reloading and refreshing applications just as much if not more then iOS devices....oh Android fans...the ironySamsung has a history of dropping support for older devices (Galaxy S never getting updated past Android 2), using terrible components (bad GPS in the Galaxy S), using bad storage (look up "super brick" bug, Not only that, Samsung devices and Samsung storage used by other devices were flawed in their very design.

support
The leap from the 5S to the 6 didnt feel like too much of a change really at all besides few obvious welcome changes, but I have switched since to the 6 Plus from the 6, and I have to say the Plus is absolutely incredible and feels like a major big upgrade to iPhone(the screen and battery on the Plus is simply just absolutely fantastic and dramatically better then what Apple has ever offered in the past) and that going to the 6 Plus from the 6 alone feels like a awesome nice upgrade and from the 5s to the 6 Plus is defitnetly absolutely a big difference and feel and change and feels like a very awesome upgrade Keep it, by February 2015 all apps and app updates submitted have to have 64 bit support, which means 35-40% speed boost increase in apps that dont use 64 bit code (plenty to name that dont use 64 bit code yet ; Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube , Google Maps, bunch others) so roughly around 30% speed boost increase for 5S and 35-40% faster applications for 6/6 Plus for Touch ID my advice and tip to you is register your same finger twice in Touch ID, it makes it tons more accurate and much more consistent and essentially works "perfect" for me after doing this trick, try it Lastly download a good camera app like Camera+, it really does make a difference..Biggest pro of the S cycle: abundant support, both hardware wise and software wise.I know Verizon has some nice and smart people in their tech support department. Also works great inside and outside the Power Support Air Jacket cases, keeps them looking great.LOL...sure is, it has kept us entertained and we don't feel sooo abandoned by At&t..it's a great a great support groupThey make great products from the ground up that have great value and offer some of the best support in the world.Horses were perfect too as a mode of transportation for years, doesn't mean that when something newer that was better and actually had enough support and desirability wouldn't then be perfect instead.I was also a bit annoyed at how quickly Apple drop update support for previous models (little did I realise how much worse the situation can be with non-Nexus devices on Android).Call apple support and speak with someone and explain what happened and how you're not happy but be nice.Well, it's a good thing you aren't exaggerating and adopting an insulting tone to "support" your rebuttal, because if you were that would make it significantly less compelling.I wasn't planning to upgrade my 4S until Apple drops iOS support, but I'm moving to a neighborhood with *terrible* reception. They're several iterations of Windows past 95/98/ME/XP and want to concentrate on moving forward and not having to continue legacy support of such, in relative terms, archaic software. This is rather really horrible support and left me with a bad state about Apple.Samsung has a history of dropping support for older devices (Galaxy S never getting updated past Android 2), using terrible components (bad GPS in the Galaxy S), using bad storage (look up "super brick" bug, Not only that, Samsung devices and Samsung storage used by other devices were flawed in their very design.apple support) are outsourced to Latin-America (cheap labor, obviously..) and they are extremely kind, really nice, but cannot really see into your order, they know what you know. The strange thing is that is I switched the phone off then on again it would all work ok, I noticed this on Friday and over the weekend, I called Apple Support who did not have a clue about what to do, strange that it has been fine yesterday and today.A Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone need to be much smaller, basically, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen) It's ugly how much space/real estate is wasted on the current design of the front of the iPhone Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, atleast while connected to Wifi N iChat Support Flash Support (I want to access hulu from my iphone damn it!)
cycle
Biggest pro of the S cycle: abundant support, both hardware wise and software wise. The spare line was just that a spare unlimited data line because it was so cheap but I don't really use it in anything so I figured being able to cycle three upgrades (worth $450 a piece in subsidy on iphones) was worth having a 2gb plan instead of unlimited on that line, so long as my bill doesnt go (if I lost the $20 off)The rep was extremely friendly and said that it had already been waived and that the credit will show on the next billing cycle ... That's weird, I didn't even contact them before that to get it waived, I'm still not sure if it's an error or if it's going to show up next month but if it does I'll probably just contact them and tell them it was supposed to be waived.Do you think it's wise to call retentions before the iPhone 4 comes out...if they lower my plan cost I won't be in the $100 a month range and might not qualify for the early upgrade price, although my billing cycle is on the 25th of every month so I might get lucky there.I'd say people who upgrade their phone every year are unethical and pathetic too through their perpetuation of a destructive cycle of rare earth mineral waste, shameless consumerism and exploitation.- faster CPU (kind of not sure what a faster CPU is used for in these phones at this point) - 2gb of ram - 1080p screen That would make an awesome phone but I wouldn't mind waiting a year to get it in the iPhone 7 because I like being on the non-s cycle so it like I'm rocking the newest gen because I'm vain like that.Cycle Count: 479 Design Capacity: 1430 Full Charge Capacity: 784 Status: Success Battery Current Capacity: 60 Battery is charging: true External charge capable: false External connected: false fully charged: false gas gauge capacity: true.I was nervous that it's nearly mid cycle, but so many of the buttons had stopped working on my 4s that it was getting incredibly annoying.iPad 2, roughly two years old: Cycle count: 584 Design capacity: 6583 Full charge capacity: 6373 Status: Success Battery current capacity: 100% Battery is charging: False External charge capable: False External connected: True Fully charged: False

features
Lots of great features + great WiFi.It would be worth it if Apple optimized iOS 8 and made it fluid and gave it more intuitive features for a larger device. It's a stunning phone and thoroughly nice to use with a couple of additional features the standard 6 doesn't have, however it's the size that is the real consideration for people I think. The Jawbone UP24 is amazing, and a great tracker of sleep, activity, diet..... One of my favourite features is the sleep tracking. One of my favorite features of the iPhone 5 series was how light it was, and the Plus kind of went far away from that. It's definitely an amazing phone and the features it offers are extremely attractive over the 4.7" iPhone 6.I'm just one tiny little insignificant developer, but I'll guarantee this, if it's got a nobody such as myself so excited and brimming with ideas already then you can bet that the big developers will have some stunning improvements and unique features for their apps that will quite simply only be possible on the iPhone 6+.I'm just excited to get all the features and upgrades I mentioned, I dont have handoff or airdrop, but I'll be fine cause I have so many other awesome features.Apple is usually the first to popularize awesome features such as 7 hour battery life on the MacBook Air (and then to an amazing 12 hours), retina display on a laptop, Touch ID on the iPhone, etc.She may be perfectly happy with it and let's be honest, she's unlikely to take advantage of the features the 6 has that the 4/4S doesn't.Battery life is magnificent, signals are excellent, and it has unique features and a very nice 3-CPU platform that makes it far snappier than higher-specced competitors. Each subsequent model, while had great features, just made it more and more perfect. It is definitely not an iPhone but it does have enough features and games to keep a new smart phone owner happy for minimal cost.Sure it has stabilized video (which is freaking amazing if you haven't seen it) and a slightly larger screen but all of the great software features is 6 Plus only.I'm not happy about choosing between "way too big, but the Greatest Phone Ever" and "only a little too big but without all the features".I'm staying on the 5S for now until I see if the 6 has amazing features that I can't live without and I get sufficiently jealous. As many features as Apple had to show differentiating the 6 and 6+ while on stage, this is one area most users won't comprehend without a tutorial and that hopefully Apple isn't shying away from stating because of upsetting those that really give a damn about RAM capacity.Contract term doesn't bother me and the new features, while not compelling, are nevertheless appealing. Some extra features which can't take much 'processing power' at all, so I don't see why it is worth slaying speed (iPhone 4) and battery life (iPhone 5) for these quite worthless new features. This is the problem with spending your time reading Macrumors I guess, people can make mockups that look realistic but are unrealistically small/thin and have features that Apple won't or can't add yet, then when the real thing is released it looks bad by comparison.
forum
Glad the folks at the Apple store were more sensible and kind than many of the folks on this forum!I also purchased a basic phone as a second line.... ATT customer service was worthless...they didn't know what they were talking about and was always getting the run around..ontop of that the LG basic phone I ordered was in stock but they never shipped it to me and its always says backordered.....I know that sounds so horribly obnoxious since you can't hear tone through a forum, but I promise it comes from a sincere place of pure ignorance to how these things are measured exactly. No worries, just keeping the forum nice & tidy is allIt is kind of funny to think of all of us on this forum going nuts, and we will lose interaction with each other in a week or two, but in the meantime, all of our phones are snuggled together on a pallet in a warehouse in Korea...I don't see it as bad as others on the forum have gotten and definitely not as bad as it has been on my 5s.Second, I find it hilarious that there seems to be some kind of belief among some on this forum that only people with big hands buy phablets.I have been reading this forum for weeks now and I am finally posting on here because I am so excited, yes... actually excited.Firstly, I know I will be critisised for starting another 'vs' thread, but come on - this is a forum, and none of the other threads I found were a perfect fit for this.I'm amazed at all the people on this forum who have acted like the 6+ is the greatest phone ever for the past 2 weeks and then act surprised when people ordered the 6+ and realized it wasn't for them.Feel free to sound off which version you are getting (including size) as I'm curious what the average on the forum will be Apple kind of threw us a curve ball by bumping the 2nd tier to 64gb but still keeping the paltry 16gb as the base model.I mean you are a snob if you think asking a question like that to "potential snobs" would help you get any meaningful insight..Although this is the best forum site(among all smartphone forums) to have an actually neutral and intelligent discussion, you should ask it on a general tech forum imo to know what the non-iphone owners think of those with iphones.I read this comment 1000 times on this forum about "I think 3.5" is the perfect size for a phone" then in 2012 "I think 4.0" is the perfect size for a phone" Now in 2014 "I think 4.7" is the perfect size for a phone."People are reading WAY to into this, it was an incident that happened to a phone, and I just shared my experience because I was lucky enough to have been able to catch it and just so happened to post on a forum that talks about this kind of stuff.I'm glad that people know some of this stuff on here, it shows how this forum, although is mostly just for fun, can also be an awesome source for interesting and helpful information like this2) SIM Swap Trick - Google it and watch Youtube Video's - Very easy to do as long as you be patient 3) Use a tool I think such as iPhone configuration utility...(I cannot provide feedback/support for MMS setup as I don't use it since I have no need for it thanks to all the great apps like iMessage & Whatsapp) If/When more/better plans become available I will be sure to add them to the list, If you know of a great carrier/plan(s) that are better than what I listed then be sure to let me know As for feedback, those of you concerned Check my eBay accounts: and See my Threads on the forum:However, I think Ace134blue has done a great job and this is the kind of post that will make me come back to the forum.I suspect that even though some people simply got a bad Genius, many of the posters on this forum with bent iPhones that were denied a replacement phone were turned down due to their awful attitudes.I simply asked a question and now I'm getting **** on for doing so for one I'm not a troll and my canadian sense of humor is just fine, this is the worst forum I've ever been on just awful mean ppl on here now a days!!!!!Why we're discussing this on an Apple based forum on the Internet is that like Apple users can get together and talk about their experience with Apple products, good, bad, and ugly.I was a bit frustrated so maybe the title of the thread could have been better but its truly amazing to me how most people on this forum get so ******** over mentioning a competitor device. The other forum members twisted what he said and did into something different entirely that they could mock.I've been whining about this on this forum before this thread started, worried about whether this would happen and inquiring about rigid cases to help prevent this (and reading comments about how I don't need a case and why would I want to take away from the sleek beauty of the phone)...but even now - having predicted this - I'm bummed and not feeling as excited about the 6 Plus that should be arriving soon...and one last thing; do not give advice on this or any forum based on unfounded assumptions or wishful thinking, the internet is becoming overloaded with dubious information.Anyway...I am getting tired of ignorant people on this forum.I don't get why some people have to be so damn rude on this forum.I'd feel sad if a forum member got something they were really looking forward to and it didn't work out for them--not smug and pleased with myself.Be smart and try not to buy into a financially bad plan just cause you want the iPhone 6 or 6+...we all want it and thats why we are on this forum...but I stopped myself as this was not just a bad deal ...it is a very bad deal..... yeah, two brands notorious for their quality It is THAT sound, and very picky people on forum like this call it "rattle" like it was a maracas ....
lot
I've noticed having the case gives me a lot of freedom because I'm not constantly worried about scratching my phone which is nice.Still, 8.1 has a lot of other nice fixes that make it worth it.True I've never had a glass one, but I just feel weird about covering up something I paid a lot for that feels nice, and I worry about air bubblesThat all changed again yesterday when my 128GB silver 6 was delivered and I have to say I absolutely love it The size is perfect (slightly smaller than the S5 it's replaced which makes it much more pocket and hand friendly), TouchID is brilliant and the general fit and finish is second to none I didn't think I'd missed iOS but even though the last version I used was 6 and it's obviously changed a lot since then it was like welcoming an old friend and it feels good to be back I've always had dark coloured phones before but this time I decided to go for the silver as white is the iconic Apple colour IMO and I'm really glad I did - it looks stunningshould i stick with my 64gb 6 or get a 16gb 6+ , or somehow dish-out/find $100 (which is like a months worth of weekend entertainment for me in college ) an get a 64gb 6+, which my parents won't be too happy about since they think i already spent a lot getting the 64gb 6 then the baseLike another post said the most shocking thing is that they don't seem to understand what they did its wrong, thats why a lot of kids grow up to be a pos since they grow up doing this kind of things and never face major consequences about it.Wow, seems like Iphone 6 Plus is having a lot of problems...I tried the Note 4 at bestbuy today and it was stunning and a wonderful device on all regards...Take Blizzard's Hearthstone, it works great on an iPad and while they are working on an iPhone version, I think that is going to be a much different experience because the cards will necessarily have to be shrunk a lot to fit the interface. These tech websites are making these iPhone bending reports such a big deal, of coarse it's gonna bend if you put that much pressure on it, any phone would...People always find the smallest things to complain about, a lot wanted a big iPhone for such a long time now they got it but keep finding negative things about it, people want thin, light, indestructible and cheap and they'll still not be satisfied, simple solution of putting a case on it would solve the issue...out of at least 10 million iPhones only a small percentage of iPhones actually were bent but these reports are making this such big deal and people are actually going out and exchanging their phones smh...just my opinion thoughThe size isn't event that bad, but I'm just ok indecisive and notice I carry this phone around a lot at work due to it not being the easiest to place in my pocket. My 5s looks fabulous despite a lot of hard living in my pocket when I'm doing landscape/gardening work or playing with kids and dogs at the park because it's kept in a nice leather wallet case that protects it front and back. While there were a lot of enthusiastic Apple fans eager to get their hands on the new iPhones, yes, it was disconcerting to see others in line who really couldn't care less. She did this evening and gave me enough credit to get a nice case as well as a bill credit BTW I was nice on the phone and and explained that a lot of the frustration I've seen on this thread had as much to do with ATT's lack of transparency as well as the fact that the CSR's obviously were not given any leadership/guidance/information that would have at least given the consumer a feeling that we weren't all being stonewalled.Got to say that I have been using Apple products since 1984 and have not gotten bad product yet, I have had a LOT of Apple products, just about every computer every iPhone every Apple TV, I have been luckyI agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBGreat signal in a lot of places and really great 4G speeds. It may be somewhat of a more niche market you're selling to but I don't think it will hinder any kind of resell value For what it's worth, I have sold both Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3 recently and had A LOT more responses about my Note 3 than my S5.OCD isn't what I have I just DESERVE a perfect phone because I think 749$ is a LOT of money... so because of that it had better be PERFECT.Looks like I got lucky and got a CSR that was happy to credit the account without asking a lot of questions.I know SPRINT is at the bottom but I think they have been putting a lot of work in to come back and I was all over the new deal for $50/month UNLIMITED data when SPRINT came out with that for the 6/6+ Also...Im moving from a small area to a much larger market and any provider will do just fine out there so Im excited to see how great SPRINT is with all their upgradesI'm kind of in that boat -- I do a lot of email and remote IT work, and a larger canvas, while still pocketable, is a great advantage.A lot of people thought the glass panels on the back of leaked iPhone 5 pictures was really ugly, but most people now think the iPhone 5/5S looks great. You'll find Macrumors to be populated by a lot of intelligent and passionate 'technology' fans. For a while those things were worth a lot - I'm amazed. If that were to happen, I think there will be a lot less people upgrading, unless there is some kind of spectacular ability with the new phone. She doesnt want to spend a whole lot, doesnt use much data, and is not worried about having the latest and greatest. That makes me a happy camper Thanks a lot for all help everybody, have a nice weekend!Glad to hear that you are okay, like what the other guy said this kind of situation can certainly get a lot more uglier than this. The 5C make a bold statement, though it's plastic it has a lot to offer and I kind of like that. It's sad but not a lot of companies would sit and hand a customer $2400 worth of product to satisfy their complaint, no matter how wrong they were.Yes the damage isn't bad and yes over time you would probably sustain some sort of marks on the phone by yourself but the point is these things are a lot of money and should be perfect out of the box. It's great there are so many happy 5c owners and I like how a lot of people (like me) had every intention of buying the S until they saw / held the C in person and changed their mind!Hi everyone , I'm here to inform you all that I've solved this problem after battling for hours , I red a lot of post on various forums and tried , changed/removed security/encryption standards , changed DNS , Tried different channels , toggled genius in privacy ... etc but none worked I have a 5 year old netgear wifi router which worked just perfect with ipad , iPhone 4 & 4s but since I got i5 , I've faced serious wifi issues like , average browsing , ultra slow app store download speeds ... for a 10mb app it took more than 15 mins to complete , on 20 MBps broadband line .. After trying every solution out there I tried my friends Belkin and Netgear N series router , and everything worked perfect @ blazing speeds on both belkin & N series, found the difference almost instantly(on all my old devices as well) .Tmobile won't launch lte till 2013 and even then it will probably only be in a select few cities so its not a bad idea to buy the verizon version Nice I traded my att iPhone 5 for the Verizon one just because I will probably never have tmobiles lte in my area and the Verizon version supports a lot more bands and one day I might go to Verizon they have lte in my areaThey sure charge a lot for literally doing NOTHING worth that kind of charge.windows phone 8, along with some really exciting developers, are going to be bringing a lot of great stuff related to NFC in the near futurePeople rag on Apple, some issues to be sure but great customer service is worth a lot.ps: if you're a Samsung employee, please refrain from posting, I'm tired of reading carbon copy "I'm never gonna buy apple again" fake reports like a lot of the ones here:The weird noise reduction "feature" makes the images look worse in a lot of instances.A lot of 6 users are mad that their phones are deficient in a few areas, and that is understandable, however they shouldn't be in denial lol.I think opening the task manager in Iphone is a lot worse since you have to double press which much more tedious and slow (and eventually killing the home button like what happened to my 3GS and 4s).There are a lot of bad people out there and I agree it's sad we rank among the highest countries in crime.Call the iPhone 6 or 6+ GPU as "inferior" tell me a lot about how much do you understand on the matter..... Maybe he has a defective iPhone....I am sure A LOT of people are tired of the unfair prices of a bad valued service. You'll find that a lot of the people who HAVE worked their way through hardship to get to a better life are the ones with the least sympathy for those who prefer to whine about how unfair the world is when their bad decisions come home to roost.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...I wasn't insinuating that people don't want a larger phone a lot do (the 6+ is perfect for them probably) but a lot were happy with the compactness of 4-5s as well and they shouldn't be disregarded as you go on to point out.I don't have any backlight bleeding, no dead pixels, perfect home button, good battery...a lot of which would be worse on a replacement phone. You want a lot of unhappy customers ...... read the 10069 messages thread of unhappy AT&T pre-order customersTHINGS I WONT MISS: The battery life: The battery life on a lot of android phones are generally not that great, and seeing as Samsung can't make a nice OS skin if they tried, I'm not going there. My mom couldn't fit the Plus in a lot of her pants and my dad's hand got tired using the device. What I find annoying with the Touch ID/Passcode is that if you try and delete an email from the lockscreen, it then brings up the keypad for your passcode, and then goes back to the lockscreen...makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome.Scammers have a lot of tricks from sending money from bad bank accounts that somehow clear into your account, to returning a different phone back and claiming you sent them a bad product, to just shipping back rocks AND PAYPAL SIDES 99% WITH BUYER NO MATER WHAT.The plus owners will think " i thought im going to watch a lot of movies and playing games with this thing, but 90% of the usage actually chatting and soc med and this thing is so big and annoying it's very hard to use with one hand, i should have got the 6 instead damn!!!"I know quite a few couples that have downgraded and are a lot happier for it: no longer having to deal with annoying texts, facebook requests, weird phone glitches due to overcomplicated software, much better battery life, much lower bills, etc.The only thing that could cause that bad of battery life is if you're in an area with really bad coverage and it's doing a lot of searching\low-bar data...I tried my luck and waited for 45 minutes the agent i got was pretty cool but he told there was nothing he can do about it and that all orders are getting expedited, i don't know if its true but he told me that he have received a lot of calls about from people with shipping dates November + including himself; anyway if i can get 6 plus locally at a fair price i might bite and cancel the pre-order, the sad part is my first order got cancel with a "nice" 7-10 days shipping but my new one is 3-4 weeks lol.I have seen a lot better mock ups and i think the mock ups looked way better.****** i highly suggest one card for express check out in app as the system gets really buggy + slow the more clicks you need to do, if any way to use one card i would try.....they state a gift card issued by credit card co but given the wording i would assume that it would be ok for two credit cards i know a lot of online merchants like the top dept stores will only allow one credit card but mutiple store gift cards, you may want to send a quick note under a different email just to confirm as apple is quite strict.... in worse case you could get the gift card from one of the credit cards and that will def work, good luck!Yes I will get iphone 6 because I rely a lot on iOS, but apple has always been about clean simplistic design, these antenna bands are horrible and go against their previous product designs.I see a lot of posts saying service was as bad or worse than expected. This is a bad situation that a lot of people like the OP who are ignorant of the way tmobile operates find themselves in.There are clearly trade offs in smart phone cameras, but a lot of credible reviews rank the 5s camera at the top of the heap overall.I was basically saying that the lag when switching between home screens is almost non existent but the app loading time was a LOT worse on the s5 it was shockingof the folks going to the Genius Bar have a genuine concern and issue, there are a good number who are trying to cheat the system, make unreasonable demands, feel entitled, or are unreasonably obsessive over the slightest thing Personally, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone in customer service who has to deal with people who are rude, arrogant, entitled, idiots, sneaky and more Customer service of any kind is typically a thankless job with little reward I'm not saying all Geniuses are angels themselves, but I tend to believe much of the vitriol directed at them is unjustifiedit was definitely my phone that had a bad vibrator in it, got it replaced, it is not as loud my 5, but it is certainly louder and also a lot stronger, I'm happy with it not, i can finally here my phone go off when it not on me or on my deskI bought my daughter a new iPod touch 5th gen today and wow it seems like a lot more quality control is going on there cuz it's flawless it's beautiful not a mark but give it a few months right lolThe same with this damned music app, which tends to crash every hour, that's extremely annoying, in my opinion Despite this, safari crashes also a lot, but it's bearable, though not nice.Things can be a lot less flexible here and you're unlikely to get anything no matter how nice you are.I almost went in for the Samsung Galaxy4 when it came out because i really liked the larger screen and the android widgets..What held me back was a outright pathetic feel of the phone (I thought it was too fragile, and I hated the leather cover)...If Samsung does come out with a metal unibody for the GS5 (along with other improvements and/or additions) I see a lot of people like myself contemplating switching (even if the devise is still inferior to the ip5 in terms of build quality)...So i hope for my sake that apple comes out with a larger screen (Around 4.7-4.8 would work best for me) as I really do not want to break the apple chain (Have had every iphone till date)..I actually had my iPhone 5 replaced today which had the same issue but it was replaced because it was getting noticeably worse service and there was a lot of dust in the camera lens which was throwing off pictures and also the phone was dropping service but anyway, my battery drain is gone, plus especially on "4G" not LTE, its not draining even close to as bad as before even with only 1-3 dots of serviceJust because Apple held off this generation doesn't mean the NFC tech isn't awesome or worth discussing and a lot of the scenarios for NFC are user created.

stand
You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themBut is there REALLY anyone out there that would be disappointed in the iPhone 7 if Tim stood on stage saying, "Well folks, we didn't make it any thinner this time, it's still an AMAZING 6.0mm thick, but we did manage to give you another HALF DAY of stand by battery capacity this year!"

couple days
i am 6'5 and i too have tried the samsung note 2 with the bigger screen and for the first couple of days it was weird but after that i was use to the size and feel i do agree that would be ideal for them to release 2 differnt size screens but i do not think i would want a screen size as big as the note as it makes it very uncomfortable in the pantsIt is a great phone but after a couple of days I could not use it anymore because of a strange reason: pain in my eyes after max.If you take into account that there are some fake answers on one end; also take into account that there are fake answers on the other side - Second, I don't think the problem is "the phone will bend in your pocket in your first couple of days of use", but "the phone will eventually bend in your pocket".Those complaining about horrible battery life need to wait a couple days, especially if you see the message that its still restoring Those claiming the have super duper awesome battery life are either not using their phone or are FOS.The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.I have a family member wanting a 5c/s and I have seen a few on craigslist the past couple days for $300-325 and I am assuming they have a bad esn, I remember reading that the iphone 5 on verizon would work on att/tmobile but wasnt sure if it would if it had a bad esn for Verizon

control
Its when conditions aren't ideal, and/or when you want to control aspects of the imaging process, that a dedicated camera tends to shine. There are mounds more settings in iOS (which can be overwhelming at first) but you get more control over what you want to control such as fine grained notification control, permissions management and a smart backup solution. That's dumb, I'm not going to control what I'm discussing because it breaks someone's blissful ignorance.smart rings for TV control, flexible displays, etc.)You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themUm, PhoneArena battery testing is awful and they dont even disclose how they run their tests, they are not reliable at all, Anandtech has the best real world life usage testing PhoneArena doesnt even disclose how they do their testign, they dont go at all into details, their testing is not reliable and doesnt match more then half the times with multiple other battery tests done by other websites and also reviews Anandtech is one of the most reliable, reputable non biased websites on the web, their results and testing and analysis is really almost unmatched in the industry Anand does not write any articles or post anymore on Anandtech, he has put others complelty in charge and now works basically full time at Apple, you dont just throw out years of extremely reputable fame and non bias and renown that Anandtech has built over the years with the industry, terrible damage control, its widely known now that PhoneArenas testing is flawed and that they dont even disclose their testing Lol yeah, im sure the iPhone 6 plus only gets one hour more of battery life then the 6, what a joke, nobody takes PhoneArenas testing seriously anyway, their testing is flawed they dont even disclose how they do their test I went from a 6 to a Plus and I get way more then one extra hour of battery life with my Plus What do you expect, it powers a Quad HD screen , the GPU has to push more pixels, the display is bigger and has a bigger drain on the battery, the 28nm Snapdragon 805 is not as power efficient as the 20nm Apple A8, this was pretty obvious just by looking at the specs on paperMayhaps the "punctuation keys" on their keyboard are broken/busted, or else the nerves that control the fingers that tap those keys are defective, or they have motor neuron disease and get tired "puffing" at the keyboard, or perhaps they only have a finite amount of time left on this Earth and have decided not to waste it on the split seconds of time it takes to punctuate thought trains.I bought my daughter a new iPod touch 5th gen today and wow it seems like a lot more quality control is going on there cuz it's flawless it's beautiful not a mark but give it a few months right lol
notification
Only noticed it in Spotlight, otherwise my Plus ran great still without that on, but Reduce Transparency is everything, Nd i like the black notification center better from the Reduce Transparency, in app performAnce/games are still extremely superb on the Plus Still not as bad at all as the lag Note 4 still has, and the lag modern day Android devices still haveI used to love the notification LED until I got my Moto X. Motorola's active display is absolutely awesome and kind of like an Apple answer to the LED.All the things we thought the 6 would be, but wasn't: Wireless charging Waterproof Two day battery 20Mp camera Bezel-less Two gigs ram at least LED notification Durable Sapphire screen No ugly antenna bands No ugly protruding lens No bad screens escaping QC inspection Stable iOS Smooth iOS This would make a phone with paying a thousand bucks for.To be honest the LED notification light on the Nexus 5 is nice.It would be nice if the lock screen actually showed new mail you receive or some kind of notification on the lock screen itself...There are mounds more settings in iOS (which can be overwhelming at first) but you get more control over what you want to control such as fine grained notification control, permissions management and a smart backup solution. The best place to stick a notification light would actually be around the home button, some kind of circular pulsing light would look brilliant.A notification LED (dedicated) would be nice.As for the iphone in general, it's a very nice phone with amazing aspects to it, along with some serious flaws and weaknesses and stupidities about it -- there's nothing "minor" about having no notification light, a usuable DND feature, the ability to toggle quickly with the volume keys between vibrate/ring/silent, being able to silence the sounds of outgoing texts (sounds that where stupid to put there in the first place), and so on.For me, checking the damn screen to find out that the notification I got was not worth the small jot of time I took to check is irritating. When I tested it before disconnecting to install the new assembly, strange things happened from the lock screen; notification center would come down, it would go to the passcode screen, and other weird "automated" happenings. That looks stunning The only thing I don't like is the home button put on the frame, thats so android like and I never liked it on my friends device but the rest looks great & I also like the light up Apple Logo but that would be replaced by the home button again, maybe the lil square lines of that button could light up when I get a notification, I would welcome it...otherwise it depresses me that we all have so many wonderful ideas but we all know that Apple will never implement them into the final product
settings
I went into settings, safari (my phone browser), selected advanced, then website data, then remove all website data (at the bottom) and the discs went away, I don't think I lost any of my saved passwords or anything that I wanted to keep probably just cached pages to help sites load faster, but the discs annoyed me so I was happy they went away. Also the battery life on the 6 Plus is amazing, you need to adjust some settings for optimal battery life, these links will help...There are mounds more settings in iOS (which can be overwhelming at first) but you get more control over what you want to control such as fine grained notification control, permissions management and a smart backup solution.Going into accessibility settings and toggling Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast to on seemed to make it more tolerable performance wise.Definitely getting worse (but not terrible) battery life out of my 5 compared to my 4 under exactly the same settings and usage. In some ways it's nice, because otherwise I'd be kind of glued to my phone like some people are, and that's really disrespectful in group settings..but that's a totally separate discussion topic.yeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsWorst case scenario, you find the backup problematic, you erase all content and settings and setup phone as new.In every case excluding maybe a rare extremely god awful console port pc settings maxed out blow consoles out of the water, those kind of graphics are not applicable to consoles, they at aren't powerful enough, no amount of optimization will fix that.I'm seeing it and it is worse than terrible... iPhone 6 speedtest (after resetting network settings): 0.01 d/l 3.35 u/l AWFUL.
ipad
So I'm definitely happy they're upgrading the 32 to 64 but if the entry was 32 then that would be perfect for my iPad storage.Must be lucky, my iPad 4 and iPhone 6 plus have perfect screens. As far as the processor, I really don't mind which device has the faster processor, though it'd be nice to have those really great graphics on the Air 2, I really don't care whether my iPhone or iPad has the faster processor.out of the past few iOS devices: iPad 2 was pretty bad iPad 3/4 not bad at all iPhone 5 was awful iPhone 5S wasn't horrible unless you wanted Gold IMO, the iPhone 6 Plus availability is the worst I've seen in any iPhone release, particularly 64GB.iPad mini- perfect iPad mini retina - perfect iPad Air 2 4G - perfectReplacement ok. IPhone 3GS - perfect iPhone 4 - perfect iPhone 4 white - perfect iPhone 4s - perfect iPhone 5- perfect iPhone 5s - perfect then lost on holiday, replacement, perfect iPhone 6 Plus - perfect iPad 2 3G - perfect iPad 3 3G - perfect until about 8 months old, 1 inch line of dead pixels.I spent a few days last week watching craigslist last week and bought a sealed iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Gray last Friday for $725.00 - Activated, went to Apple store grabbed a leather case and an extra lighting cable for use with an old iPad charger for use as my travel charger (Supposedly it charges faster with the bigger iPad charger) Anyway, if you're tired of waiting or don't want to be stuck in a contract paying way over full price for a phone, this is a great alternative.well i went back to my 5C and honestly its fluid and the right size for portability I have a rMini and macbook air so apple still in my life... What I found was apple puts alot of effort into their macbooks - look at yosemite - its amazing fluid fast and runs amazingly on the macbook air, secondly ipads - these are also great for what they do just look at the new ipad air specs are amazing...I am happy to report impressive battery life since the update so it seems to be working well on my iPhone 6 iPhone 6 64GB (AT&T) // iPad Mini (Wifi) // 2013 MacBook Pro RetinaI love the camera in the 6 Plus, it is truly amazing that we have a phone camera with optical image stabilization, just amazing, You only see this kinda stuff in bigger cameras, and not in phones, that's a + for the 6+ On the other hand, I've never owned an iPad, but I always wanted one since the first one.Another contributing factor was owning an iPad mini and using that along with my iP5S sitting on my couch thinking "Wouldn't it be nice to have something bigger than my phone, smaller than the mini and still fit in my pocket..." Tastes evolve and needs change.Basically I see the ipad as a compromised experience useful when I have something to carry it around in but is still awkward to take out the laptop (basically the compromise is worth the convenience). The ads like the pencil ad if iPad Air is also awesome amazing concept in 30 seconds and ends with a joke..My iPad 4 is perfect and my old iPhone 4 is perfect (or near enough).Much better camera, better apps, seamless integration with my iPad Mini, and of course, seamless iTunes integration. But recently I stopped using one on my iPad due to the fit with my favorite keyboard.Unfortunately im rushed off my feet so much on the shop floor that I don't have time to rush back and forth my desk to use my iPad air, and it's too big to fit in my suit pocket, while the 6 Plus is big enough to do both jobs and is small enough to fit in my jacket pocket. What's important is that they were the first to make these products desirable; and the Macintosh and iPad were desirable because they were easy to use and good to look at.I have always felt like the iPad Air, while a very nice product, was a bit of a force fit between my phone and macbook. But for apps that don't, like magazines and journals, the problem is, unlike the iPad, which is more "square" and the pages of magazines fit the whole iPad screen, the narrower iPhone 6/6 Plus doesn't fill the whole screen to fit the page on most magazines and such.So we aren't trying to "fit" the 6+ into our existing workflow (like we did with the 4S->5 transition), we're supposed to adjust our workflow to fit the device (like we did when we first got an iPad, iPod or AppleTV).Take Blizzard's Hearthstone, it works great on an iPad and while they are working on an iPhone version, I think that is going to be a much different experience because the cards will necessarily have to be shrunk a lot to fit the interface.I have some great handmade bags on Etsy that I bought mainly for use with my iPad mini and I'm finding they are great to use with my new 6 Plus phone as well.I agree with you and totally get your point BUT now with IOS 8 + the new iPhones, i do not think 16GB is enough to work at a level that most people will be happy with and also have some freedom, it puts limiations on what one can or can't do - this is why Apple should have started with 32GB not 16GB, i am actually shocked that Apple even bothered to make a 16GB but i think this was a last chance deal for them...... a LOT of people travel and you need more than 16GB to just put some movies on a device movies have grown to HD and have iTunes extras + such, next step would be to drop SD - disney has upgraded every digital movie that years ago were only in SD to now HD + Universal will do HD if you provide them with digital info.....i have 3+GB left on a new wireless iPad mini (kids use) i did the update connected to iTunes so it took less space...had to delete every app off to update to IOS 8 - nothing else is on it as we use iTunes match - the apps are getting updated so much faster then ever before and they are being created for new IOS 8 and the app file size is bigger...then, bono (U2) is now working with apple to create a whole new music file/type, i'm sure it will take up way more space.... so while one could make 16GB work with wireless, iTunes match + the ease of using (the soon to come) iCloud storage for your photos + such, it is still very limiting - i don't need 64GB but i bought it b/c 16GB is way too small for me now and i will keep it for 2 years - in the past, i have always used 16GB.... also, people now have more options, they may want to upgrade every year, buy iPhones outright, lease iPhone's as everything has changed in the whole cellular game....in the next 2 years, apple has to drop 16GB, they got away with it this time by offering our lives in the iCloud and since we don't know yet what it will be like (on purpose i am sure) they played us to a degree - i say to a degree b/c on the flip side they offered 4 times the GB (64GB) for what in the past would have historically cost $200 more for $100 less - i love them, don't get me wrong, i am so happy with my 64GB iPhone 6+ and i love the freedom now b/c i was starting to not to have it with my last iPhone at 16GBWouldn't fit in some of my pockets, looked like I had an ipad at the gym, couldn't run with it, annoying to use one handed, etc...The 6 fit perfect and is so practical, when I need a bigger screen I will whip out my iPad.I've been looking all over and can't seem to find a "smart case" (similar to Apple's iPad Mini smart case) for the iPhone 6+.As such, was thinking...it would be perfect if Apple had a smart case for the phone like it does for the iPad mini (and of course for the iPad Air).I was excited when I heard about the first iPad, but I didn't buy the first version and I'm very happy I waited.I only really use my iPad mini in bed to watch Netflix so the smart case is perfect for that. And only the note added some functionality worth of changing my mac environment (imac, MBA, ipad retina, ipod classic, iPhone 5s) I managed to integrate android almost seamlessly and discovered it is a great os and learned quite a few things.I know it'll fit in my purse since I've been able to fit both iPad and Kindle Paperwhite 2 there (I'd just need to replace the PW2 with the 6+).I've been without the iPad for 8/9 months since I gave it away and was waiting for a phablet to replace it - that meant no eBooks in bed, camping, lazing around the couch etc Since then I've missed out on loads of great reads.. sounds sad, but I love my sci-fi and fantasy and its been a good year for it And no, I won't be buying wasteful paper books in 2014 before anyone suggests it.I'm planning on selling my iPad mini Retina as soon as I get my beloved sexy iPhone 6+ Silver 128GB.I'll get the 6..it's $100 cheaper, bigger than my 5 screen, will fit in one hand, will fit in my pocket, an upgrade from my 5 camera, and I won't look foolish holding an iPad up to my ear for calls. With the 5.5 inch high resolution screen I can finally use my iPhone kind of like an old view camera, which is what I wanted to do with my iPad, but it's just too large for that kind of thing.multiple browsers will not help, your iPhone + iPad will help more, no matter what the sites all get slammed i'm so excited, my favorite part is tracking the phone, i still have links to all the air traffic controlers!!"Magical & Revolutionary" was the original iPad hype, now as sales taper off the magic has evaporated.I mean on my black iPad Air the green smart cover looks great! In the extreme, the perfect iPad would be like a sheet of paper--thin and flexible. With an iphone and ipad, I'm kind of entreched in the IOS ecosystem and for me it works great.Creative applications (motion or still editing, music making and artistry, DJs and musicians...even productivity with iWork and 'fun' with the free iLife suite, as well as Microsoft's Offoce suite) and aggregation with your Mac, iPad and other iOS devices is the compelling & reasonable argument to make the change. My current iphone size is perfect and doesn't need to be the size of my ipad that also is the perfect size, and my ipad doesn't need to be the size of my imac that also is the perfect size.iOS7 was a nice update and made the my iPhone 5 feel like a new phone again and if nothing else the iPad Air I just purchased was nice due to it's speed and screen.Dear Members I would like to upgrade my iPhone 5 64 GB to iPhone 5S I have found that since I have the iPad 128 GB, I have not used the iPhone to its full capacity I was going to get the iPhone 5S 64G but the price difference between the 16 GB and 64 model makes me think whether it is worth it As I have the iPad 128 GB , I wonder whether it would be a waste to buy the iPhone 5S 64 GB Perhaps some of you are in the same situation or gve me ideas of situations in which having both with high capacity would be useful ThanksiPhone is smaller as a matter of convenience, while iPad is regarded as a device more keen to wider experiences, as screen real estate allows for more enjoyable movies and games experience, for instance.I had my nice lovely iPad replaced under AppleCare. My iPad Air has a gorgeous screen and I think to remember that Sharp made these screens (IGZO), so I don't think Sharp made the bad iPhone screens.my ipad air has a perfect screen and I'm getting upwards of 12 hours use out of it even with some gaming, the mini retina I bought had a perfect screen and good battery life, and safari doesn't crash on me.iPhone 3G - After trying every solution out there I tried my friends Belkin and Netgear N series router , and everything worked perfect @ blazing speeds on both belkin & N series, found the difference almost instantly(on all my old devices as well) .I got lucky with iPad 3 and now my iPhone 5, both good and neutral white (both were pre-ordered and received on launch day) If it looks the same as a plain white sheet of paper I'm happy, that's the extent of my "testing".I find this annoying but even worse on my iPad which so many sites automatically load as mobile site. And if i were to compare my 6 Plus (slight yellow but I can live with that as it's actually better) to my ipad mini 3, my ipad mini 3 has the worst yellow tint and it's uneven, and I gave up on replacing because ALL of them will be like this and the QC is just bad.My mom had her iPad stolen once, I activated Find my iPhone on it prior but it did practically nothing...the guy that "found it" (he's got a record so I was weary) erased the whole thing....was sketchy overall and kind of pissed me off but oh well.I returned 3 iPad Airs with yellow screens last year before getting one that I was happy with and it is not perfect - just perfect enough for me.I swapped to a note 3 then S5 worst thing i have ever done with tech, especially with a MBPr and iPad.They don't play nice together.I already gave the solution for the phone..cheap dumb phone and ipad.If you want your phone for the 2 times a month someone calls you, buy a cheap dumb phone (you can get them for free with upgrade) and buy an ipad for your data needs.Get a cheap dumb phone for your emegrency calls, and get an ipad ..voice of reasonWhat's annoying is to carry both iPad and iPhone the same time and then later on during the day leaving iPad in the car when stopped for a diner at some place and realising damn I need the bigger screen when you start browsing net and apps while waiting for food. The iPad had issues with large dispay variation, excessive heat and overall mediocre performance.as for not trying hard enough - I got up at midnight and tried for 1.5 hours on my computer, iPad and iPhone- trying and trying - refreshing and refreshing - don't see how I could have done more - you either get through or you don't - pretty simple.I was just going to suggest one that can fit an iPad Mini but that thing is beautiful.Okay, now I'm hesitant about upgrading to an iPad Air, and I'm even hesitant about getting the iPhone 6 that I preordered yesterday.I then bought a rMini, the ram/tab situation was so appalling (much worse than my old iPad 3) I went back to laptops in a big way and bought a late '13 15" rmbp.I am afraid it might be the iPad 3 of the iPhones which had a worse performance than ipad 2 due to retinaWas going to buy a 5.5 incher -expected it to be $100 more than the counter part - Check, aint mad cause its better -Was going to get 32GB for the price of $400 - Im getting an extra 32GB for the price I was gonna pay CHECK -Has better battery, screen, camera, ipad landscape - Check -Releases same day as 4.7 - Check Everything I was worried about was alleviated.I read an article that Apple products was shocking people so bad that it killed a woman and another man got shocked by an iPad and it flew him across the room! After unboxing them it was kinda weird ; the gold 5s looks fake and the white iPad looks like a toy.I enjoy Apple products, and my iPhone 5s has been great, but this smart watch race is not going to go like the iPhone, or iPad did. They will mostly likely do both, launch app and have it float in the middle of the screen with black bars surrounding and then a stretch to fill screen option like the iPad, honestly the stretch wouldn't look bad since when the iPad did it to the 3.5 inch iPhone apps it still looked ok, I doubt a .7inch increase would be horrible.iPad 2, roughly two years old: Cycle count: 584 Design capacity: 6583 Full charge capacity: 6373 Status: Success Battery current capacity: 100% Battery is charging: False External charge capable: False External connected: True Fully charged: FalseI've had lots of iPods and an iPad and my phone was this cheap samsung intensity(a sliding phone...DUMB PHONE) then I got a blue 5c just a week or to ago.I had to pop in Verizon iPad SIM into iPhone 5 to check whether my phone was bad or the SIM was bad. Both display models, gray and white, had hideous yellow screens and HORRIBLE screen interlacing compared to the iPad 3 sitting next to them. It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneI'm nervous about cutting down the iPad sim, but this would work great for me.Actually I don't find the iPad as enjoyable anymore now.. though I can't imagine how amazing an iPad with 300+ ppi would be.
functions
Most people are happy with a phone that does whatever functions they want and just works, not a ton of people care that much about what it looks like as long as it isn't some horrible design. You agree not to misuse the Service or Device, including but not limited to: (a) reselling or rebilling our Service; (b) using the Service or Device to engage in unlawful activity, or in conduct that adversely affects our customers, employees, business, or any other person(s), or that interferes with our operations, network, reputation, or ability to provide quality service, including but not limited to the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or "denial of service" attacks; (c) using the Service as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (d) tampering with or modifying your T-Mobile Device; (e) "spamming" or engaging in other abusive or unsolicited communications, or any other mass, automated voice or data communication for commercial or marketing purposes; (f) reselling T-Mobile Devices for profit, or tampering with, reprogramming or altering T-Mobile Devices for the purpose of reselling the T-Mobile Device; (g) using the Service in connection with server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients, "bots" or similar routines that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality; (h) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, T-Mobile's or another entity's network or systems; (i) running software or other devices that maintain continuously active Internet connections when a computer's connection would otherwise be idle, or "keep alive" functions (e.g.
couple years
If however you want the latest and greatest iPhone and your going to keep the device for a couple of years or more then it may be worth adding the extra money and getting a 6, but as I said the 5s is still a very, very capable and good phone.I find it really funny how a couple years ago when Samsung INTRODUCED the Note phablet just about everyone here said how it was such a stupid idea because it was so large and said they'd never buy an iPhone bigger than 4" because 4" was the perfect size.Simplified: AT&T MVNO's: - AT&T GoPhone [I currently on $60 plan and its great] - AIO Wireless [Owned by AT&T] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - H2O Wireless - Go Red Pocket Mobile T-Mobile MVNO's: - GoSmart Mobile [Owned by T-Mobile] - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Simple Mobile [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Ultra Mobile - Spot Mobile - Solavei - Platinum Tel - Metro PCS - iWireless - Walmart Family Mobile - 35orLess Sprint MVNO's: - Virgin Mobile - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] Verizon MVNO's: - PagePlus - Straight Talk [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] - Net10 [Owned by Tracfone which is owned by American Movil] If T-Mobile gave you the boot, go with AT&T MVNO's and I recommend: - #1 Straight Talk [Fast 4G + LTE Speeds slightly higher ping rates] - #2 GoPhone [Fastest 4G + LTE Speeds and Lowest Ping] - #3 AIO Wireless [Slightly cheaper than GoPhone with Fast 4G + LTE Speeds with slightly higher ping rates] Net10 and Straight Talk = Exact same except net10 = $5 more unless you do "Auto payment" T-Mobile MVNO's list has grown over the past couple of years maybe because its cheaper for companies to use its network vs AT&T but do note that you get LTE and much better coverage going with AT&T MVNO vs T-Mobile.
motion
I have a 6 plus and it is completely smooth, (I do have Reduce Motion on though) I went from a 6 to a 6 plus and honestly i am beyond happy and satisfied and gratified and everything i switched from a 6 to a Plus, it is alot better in my eyes... the screen is incredible, the battery life is stupendous.. i just enjoy the Plus so much more then the 6, and I dont think the Plus is too big at all, its nice and thin and pretty light.Nice video, yeah the time lapse quality is great, better than the slow motion which on mine seems off, not as sharp.I just think there's something amazing about seeing the world evolve from a place where phones were huge plastic boxes that were attached to the wall with a wire and computers were the whole floor of a city block and only NASA and the IRS had them to today where we're debating whether a SIX OUNCE computer that's about 70mm thick, no bigger than a checkbook, can process MILLIONS of times more data than those old machines, is a still and video camera, a photo editor, a phone, a text messager, a Web browser, a motion sensor, a game system, includes a built in monitor, a rechargable battery that will power it all day and a high definition screen... is too big to fit in our pockets when we bend over to tie our shoes.Creative applications (motion or still editing, music making and artistry, DJs and musicians...even productivity with iWork and 'fun' with the free iLife suite, as well as Microsoft's Offoce suite) and aggregation with your Mac, iPad and other iOS devices is the compelling & reasonable argument to make the change.I'm actually quite happy with my iPhone 5, and since I'll be paying less once out of contract, will probably hang onto it a bit longer than I normally would (unless the iPhone 6 is AMAZING or something) I may actually upgrade to a used 5s once the 6 comes out, because I want that motion processor and TouchID.Going into accessibility settings and toggling Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast to on seemed to make it more tolerable performance wise. There's also a thread dedicated to slow motion videos but I don't have the link handy.

lag
Only noticed it in Spotlight, otherwise my Plus ran great still without that on, but Reduce Transparency is everything, Nd i like the black notification center better from the Reduce Transparency, in app performAnce/games are still extremely superb on the Plus Still not as bad at all as the lag Note 4 still has, and the lag modern day Android devices still haveI am beyond sure as apps get optimized and iOS gets further updated and streamlined, the Plus is more then capable of running at 60 fps constant no lag, iOS 8 is defitnetly rushed out the door a bit...but it is also the biggest iOS update ever with over 4000 new API's ...i am sure they will fix performance and that stuttering, and also all app submissions by February 2015 need to be 64 bit capable, that alone right there switching the app from 32-bit to 64-bit gives a 10% performance increase right off the bat from the use of extra registers of the CPU(so next year we will get very nice performance gains as apps start getting 64 bit capable) Anyways going off topic a bit lol, but I agree the Plus is defitnetly the first iPhone at launch that wasn't 100% perfectly smooth with those options turned off(stock) A little bit suprising but, by no means is it slow in apps or performance wise at all, it is a very fast phone in operation, just animation stutters and sputters and tab reloadingI have a 64gb 6+ and I just tested out Epic Zen Garden and it was beautiful and ran completely smooth with no lag or stuttering. The lag may not be bad for most users (the same ones who think they have a "perfect" phone until an OCDer finds 20 things wrong in seconds) but the issue is a hardware one, and even if it doesn't bother you, it's there.I think this stuff is certainly "worth a damn" and did not cause any crippling lag in my circles. My 6 Plus has been absolutely amazing and I have absolutely no lag or stutter at all on my 6 Plus, your 6 Plus seems to be defective, Sounds like you might not even have a 6 Plus, why would you spend all that money when a ton of your "problems" is something you could of always seen in person hands on with the device or so (surely you tried the device out before forking over money) And Siri has been working for me 90% of the time and is light years better then what it has been, that seems to be a connection issue on your part with Siri having a response like thatyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsyeah but that lag in your video is very serious and clearly seems to be something mechanically defective in your device if that is common, I came from a 6 to a 6 plus and the 6 plus is just as buttery smooth fast as the 6 that i came from, with no lag or stutters for me ever I also have TLC nand memory, which is suppose to be the worse NAND that causes some people issues but i myself have had no issues at all with it Try a hard reset (home and lock button until screen turns off completely) and also try turning on Reduce transparency in accessbility in general in settingsHorrible lag issues with touchwiz and the cheap bezels and body structure.I was basically saying that the lag when switching between home screens is almost non existent but the app loading time was a LOT worse on the s5 it was shocking
feature
For moms there's a great camera, a crucial feature that Apple has marketed so heavily they've got most everyone addicted to using it as one criteria of great importance when choosing a phone. The curved design feels fantastic, the screen size upgrades are great, the cameras have some awesome feature like slo-mo and OIS on plus, pretty great battery life, and Apple Pay sounds promising. So - taking into account Apple deprecated the 64GB 5s model from now on, I've just immediately bought the 64GB iPhone 5s - while they are still present here in stores... And now - I'm REALLY happy with it: I've got the extremely convenient TouchID feature, better camera etc, all in lovely 4" size. The beautiful iconic and very distinguishing iPhone bezels including the home button with one of a kind innovative and flawless security feature makes the iPhone the iPhone, a stunning standout.-- I have not used the feature at all, I just end up shifting the phone around in my palm as I find that more convenient (dunno why but i Just do) 8) Camera -- Defininately one of the most amazing cameras I have used on a iPhone, I compared between the 6 and 6+ and the 6+'s ability to focus so fast is just amazing.By far (aside from the beautiful new screen) the feature I'm most excited to try out and use on a daily basis. It's funny that fans of the funny green robot always say we use that excuse too much, when everytime a new iPhone comes out, they use the "we've had that feature for years".I want to stick with Apple, but for me to do so here's what I need: - A smarter, more intuitive and forward thinking iOS 8 - A better camera with improved flash - Sapphire screen (Not a fan of screen protectors, also not a fan of scratches on my screen) - Wireless Charging (Probably the feature I want most on the next iPhone) -Better battery life (No real complaints about the battery life of my 5, but improvements can, and should, be made whenever possible) - NFC (I want to link my debit card to my phone for fast payments) - An aluminum back that doesn't scratch up so easily when using the phone without a case (The iPhone 5 is gorgeous and looks/feels best when used without a case. The bigger screen of the Nexus 4 was and still is beautiful to me, the freedom to change keyboards was a big thing and swipe to type is an amazing feature.I'm not saying it's not boring, I just don't understand how "boring" qualifies as a legitimate criticism of the feature. As for the iphone in general, it's a very nice phone with amazing aspects to it, along with some serious flaws and weaknesses and stupidities about it -- there's nothing "minor" about having no notification light, a usuable DND feature, the ability to toggle quickly with the volume keys between vibrate/ring/silent, being able to silence the sounds of outgoing texts (sounds that where stupid to put there in the first place), and so on.This was a great feature on my Android phone, I'm glad Apple adopted it.AT&T Family Share Plan 4 Smart Phones (iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, Samsung Galaxy S3) Unlimited phone/text Personal Hotspot also included 6 GB data (shared) $239/mo total (including 17% discount from work) Would cost ~$10 more per month to increase data to 10 GB (Data costs $30 more, but cost per phone goes down $5 ea) A nice feature is that are staggered, so we can upgrade a phone every 5 or 6 months. That's definitely a cool feature but I really haven't felt too bad that I don't get that with AT&T, I'm just happy that I can talk and surf the web at the same time.Oh dear.. dare I say.. F A I.... nah, not even gonna bother.. a giga hurt WOULD be a good feature on a smart phone..Since I started tapping my credit card I thought it was a nice feature but not thread worthy. The weird noise reduction "feature" makes the images look worse in a lot of instances.Yeah it's not even a good feature to begin with, extremely awkward and cumbersome. The feature is invisible when turned off I posit that only slow, uncritical, unreasonable, or irrational person could have a problem with this.I mean, many people argued against a feature was demonstrated to be useful, at least to a large segment of users, would be cheap and trivial to implement, and would be 100% transparent to those that didn't want it.That feature is so dumb (in my view) and the way Phil Schiller was gushing on about it was pathetic. The reachability feature is nice, but I have to use it so much that it eventually became annoying.Turn off all my home theatre , dims the lights on a ten minute timer to give me time to brush teeth etc I'm sure there's more but hey Siri looks an interesting feature for my uses just not overly keen on having to plug my iPhone in to use it cause means I'll need to buy a dock and I don't fancy shouting hey Siri I'm going toilet how many ducking times are you listening or what (from a other room) hahaiMessage, and phonecalls are boring too :-) I think he probably means that it's a non-exciting, kinda mundane and unnecessary feature which was supposed to revolutionise the way we use our mobiles.Loved the iPhone 3G and I upgraded too the Samsung Galaxy S, it had pretty awesome specs but Android apps where not good at the time, and the OS although feature rich was ugly.I think it is a nice feature but is not that impressive. If you have every feature activated and your brightness above 50% and a bad cellular connection then your battery life will be much worse. It's interesting how many people get frustrated or baffled about why someone else would want a feature on a phone that they themselves wouldn't use.
room
I think it would fit in the hands a little better and give room to either make the keyboard a little bigger or maybe add some of the nice new keys that landscape got.its ios and a 5.5 screen so i am going to buy but its that damn touch id taking up so much room and apple's design to keep everything symmetrical which i like but damn look at those bezels up top and bottom!!Lol exactly... she was worried about "pock-ability" but I showed her she still had plenty of room with her 5 and it's thinner...... She's going to gush over it (need that water proof sammy now) and I believe it will fit into her pocket just fine.I'm on the phone in a quiet room, walking and moving around, bending to pick something up from the floor, turning my head left and right while moving, and i hear the button clicking against the bezel.I want to keep this phone bad but constantly having no service and edge (just as useless, cant even make calls) in my own room is kind of a dealbreaker. For some reason I always think its really sad when I see such a beautifully designed device that is as large as a tablet/phablet but only 16GB...your going to be constantly clearing room....do yourself a favor because in the long run it will help and you might regret it far after the 14 or 30 days you get it...so many people I know regret getting the 16GB model....I feel almost bad!The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.Turn off all my home theatre , dims the lights on a ten minute timer to give me time to brush teeth etc I'm sure there's more but hey Siri looks an interesting feature for my uses just not overly keen on having to plug my iPhone in to use it cause means I'll need to buy a dock and I don't fancy shouting hey Siri I'm going toilet how many ducking times are you listening or what (from a other room) hahaI read an article that Apple products was shocking people so bad that it killed a woman and another man got shocked by an iPad and it flew him across the room!
ipod touch
I'm not worried about the protruding camera (I've had an iPod Touch for ages and the camera isn't affected at all, nor is it very noticeable) but those antenna lines look terrible and there's still way too much bezel.I been dreaming of a iPhone that as thin as a iPod touch, ever since iPod touches came out i would hold them in my hand and be like wow imagine one day a iPhone becomes this thin.. That day is coming now , i know some people dont care about thinness at all and yes the device being ultra ultra thin isnt the biggest thing to a phone, but the i6 is going to be a absolute dam joy to hold in hand, feel in hand, and to just look at.You deserve perfect cuz you paid for perfect , your not the bad guy cuz you demand your phone work , that's called taking a stand and not letting subpar quality control affect you because it shouldn't affect one of us , we as consumers should stick together on something like this and give each other the knowledge to get the job done , not doubt and call names like children Than why after 3 white box replacements through the mail with the same manager on the case did I get upgraded to a 5s white 16 gig , I'm begging people to not make statements that aren't true , if you suffer through 3 defective iphone 5 they will upgrade you to a 5s because after 3 refurbs they must give you a new device and they don't make new 5 anymore they only have refurb white box , I video tapped all 3 of my white box unboxings right from the signing to the opening and they all had scratched screens or something else and I had the proof , not only did I get upgraded I received a call from Erik from corporate who was stunned with what I went through and sent me a 32 gig iPod touch , just please stop assuming people are trying to commit fraud because we aren't , we are simply here trying to help each other get on the right path to enjoying their devices and if sharing my story and the email address of the managers that helped me gets something done for someone else and helps out one more lost person going through what I did that makes me feel great , we should all recieve perfect devices the first time and that don't happen but we have rights and should use themI'm sorry but Mary realized how much time and effort I put into getting a good phone and I could have switched to android but I stayed the coarse and now I have a new 5s and she gave me a black leather case , then after I emailed Tim cook about the ordeal Erik gustafson calls me and hooks me up with a free 32 gig iPod touch for my daughter , don't let the negative people affect you , there are good people at apple and I gave you there names and emails and you should be treated like gold now , I hope all works out buddy have a happy new year and after 7 replacements I would demand a new device and then you will get upgraded don't be afraid to ask because you have rightsYa, my 2nd gen iPod touch is in great condition and the battery is amazing compared to my iPod touch 4 which lasts maybe 20 minutes with brightness on high.On a small screened iPhone or iPod touch, looking at the prior design language looks garish and proportionally awkward compared to iOS 7/8.I won't lie, I was too lazy to type iPod touch, damn, now you made me do it.It's crazy when the ipad retina cost only $500 and the iPod touch 32GB cost only $300 The only better thing about the iPhone is the camera and the newer hardware The loan is stupid because the phone companies are greedy to charge people $80 a month for 2 years is insaneGlad I am not the only one on my iPod Touch it too is a fuzzy ugly mess and it is the only icon that is not Retina.

But think about only one thing: if Apple could add a micro sd slot or a proprietary type of card for the iPhone and lock them only for the music this would be a great business.... Be honest 16 gb are enough for anything but music, videos photos and apps are very well fitted in the 16 gb space...There is a considerable difference in size between it and the 6 +, and I find the mini preferable when viewing videos and at other times when a larger screen is desirable. Finally i enjoy streaming videos and movies on it, surfing internet is great, it is the first time i am happy with the battery life of an iphone, ever. Also the resolution of the screen is gorgeous, looking at pictures and videos in that big ass screen is delicious.Incredible battery life, an amazing camera, great for watching for videos, and playing games - oh and it makes phone calls too.Now I know some people like their phones big - the 6 is great for watching videos, pictures and displaying plenty of text, and for those people, this phone is perfect! The big beautiful screen, the amazing videos, just wonderful.I've got tons of great music (sequenced playlists - streaming is not the end all for music lovers), movies, pod-casts, loads of great apps, photos and videos on mine (128GB) and still have 52GB free.would not trade it for another love the larger screen for these retired old eyes no "pocket problems" better Nav screen for the car great for videos great for surfing websites overall just a great improvement.... and I think it's interesting reading the posts that seem to think "everyone will see you have a large phone" hogwash - nobody so far has even noticed it - in the real world (outside forums) no one seems to give a damn what phone I have...LOLWhile watching videos and surfing Web would be great on it - everyday use I think I will be happy with my "small" 6.The large phone screen is great to have with you at all times for convenience, however the larger tablet screen is great for reading, watching videos, etc.It depends on your needs, Straight talk says Unlimited - however no outside MVNO carrier is going to give you true unlimited data to be honest, so that aside you have to measure your data usages - I on average use 1-1.5GB data, so 2GB has been great for me because I rely on WiFi for roughly 40% of the time and I also avoid videos over cellular as they take big bites out of the monthly data usage. It's actually been kind of nice not worrying about how many pictures I have saved, taking tons of videos, and putting my entire music collection on the phone. All I'm getting from these bend videos is that other people have really ugly hands with weird backwards bendy thumbs. It's perfectly normal to make cuts in your videos and it doesn't imply fraud - on the contrary, it infers he's honest by not constantly changing the time on the phone to make it appear uncut. However, individual consumers and social media users who are viewing and sharing these videos are not motivated by ad revenue, but the claim that Unbox Therapy video was fake is fanning the flames for people to look for other videos and to discuss them.To me both looked great but after handling the 6+ as much as I wanted to justify and overweight the pros of the phone, I don't watch videos or play games on my phone so it was tough to sacrifice comfort for the big bad screen. There's also a thread dedicated to slow motion videos but I don't have the link handy.

operating system
keyboard
But recently I stopped using one on my iPad due to the fit with my favorite keyboard.I think it would fit in the hands a little better and give room to either make the keyboard a little bigger or maybe add some of the nice new keys that landscape got.Phone is cool i love the size not too big and keyboard is amazing now time to wait for jb.... Video is amazingSo far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance.I'm eager to try a new solution (or mechanical keyboard) if someone knows of something worth trying. An iPhone keyboard isn't even close to get me to switch operating systems but I'll admit that keyboard is pretty awesome, though it won't be long until one just like that on my awesome six plus!I've experienced the erroneous "pic not sent" message or whatever it says but also sometimes while I'm typing it will insert a random pic from my photo album in the message which is annoying but not a big deal but a hassle on that tiny little keyboard.- Reworked UI with trendy nonsense out and haute design in again; - Ability to choose default apps; - iCloud and Apple Maps that are at least as good as Google's services; - Some kind of widgets/dashboard/"Now" screen; - Some kind of a user-friendly take on file management; - Swype-esque keyboard; - Quality onboard speaker; - Usable iTunes sync functionality on Windows; - More wear-resistant case. With a very spacious, beautiful 5" display and SWYPE lightning fast keyboard, I'm very happy that I embraced change.2 Mac Minis MacBook Pro 13 2011 2 Apple TV Airport Basestation Extreme Airport express iPad 2 iPad mini iPad Air 2 iPhone 5 (one for me, one for wife) Bluetooth keyboards Magic Trackpads Magic Mouse USB keyboard Numerous chargers, cables, Cool starry bras.Wife has iPhone 4S 16GB White iPad 2 16GB Wifi Accessories:- 2 Apple Battery Chargers - Good deal and really practical Magic Trackpad for the Macbook Air Magic Mouse for the Macbook Air Apple Wireless Keyboard for the Macbook Air Apple Superdrive for the Macbook Air (rarely ever use it)Nothing I hate worse than people typing LOL when they not funny..I picture a lonely guy behind a keyboard giggling to himself..And as dissatisfied as I still am with Siri's limitations, it is dwarfed by how dissatisfied I am with Apple's touch keyboard experience on this tiny screen.Mayhaps the "punctuation keys" on their keyboard are broken/busted, or else the nerves that control the fingers that tap those keys are defective, or they have motor neuron disease and get tired "puffing" at the keyboard, or perhaps they only have a finite amount of time left on this Earth and have decided not to waste it on the split seconds of time it takes to punctuate thought trains.I'm very unhappy with the arbitrary lack of swype keyboard and global sound EQ.this is my expectations/wishlist for the iphone 5 -8 megapixel camera -hd front facing camera -A5 1GHz dual-core chip -some changes to design -7.5mm depth -4" display -better battery life (average 1 extra hour on all battery specs) -external keyboard (dont think it will happen but would be nice) -3d screen (doubtfull for the iphone 5 but hopefully soon) -death grip fix -live wallpaper (seen it on jailbroken ipads and it looks amazing) -im deffinately not expecting apple to do all of the things in my list on the iphone 5 but it would be nice P.S.
articles
I can read articles without eyestrain; movies our vibrant and crisp; and as a heavy user, the battery is very impressive compared to the iPhone 5 I gave up -even after the battery replacement. What I really find amazing is, aside from AT&T blowing us off and telling us we're liars when we bring this to their attention, you can actually google articles that websites are writing about AT&T and how they started shipping the 6 Plus early with delivery dates set for today: So I guess those people were lying too in addition to everyone here lucky enough to be able to post screenshots the last few days with positive reports.Um, PhoneArena battery testing is awful and they dont even disclose how they run their tests, they are not reliable at all, Anandtech has the best real world life usage testing PhoneArena doesnt even disclose how they do their testign, they dont go at all into details, their testing is not reliable and doesnt match more then half the times with multiple other battery tests done by other websites and also reviews Anandtech is one of the most reliable, reputable non biased websites on the web, their results and testing and analysis is really almost unmatched in the industry Anand does not write any articles or post anymore on Anandtech, he has put others complelty in charge and now works basically full time at Apple, you dont just throw out years of extremely reputable fame and non bias and renown that Anandtech has built over the years with the industry, terrible damage control, its widely known now that PhoneArenas testing is flawed and that they dont even disclose their testing Lol yeah, im sure the iPhone 6 plus only gets one hour more of battery life then the 6, what a joke, nobody takes PhoneArenas testing seriously anyway, their testing is flawed they dont even disclose how they do their test I went from a 6 to a Plus and I get way more then one extra hour of battery life with my Plus What do you expect, it powers a Quad HD screen , the GPU has to push more pixels, the display is bigger and has a bigger drain on the battery, the 28nm Snapdragon 805 is not as power efficient as the 20nm Apple A8, this was pretty obvious just by looking at the specs on paperLet's add some balance to this: The cnet article was written by Roger Cheng, a known Sprint hater who is too lazy to do basic journalist research and is biased in his opinion against Sprint in his articles.

things
I wont be buying a smart watch until these 3 things are met: Price no more than $150 Can be used with any smartphone platform Battery should last at least a week without charging I would also be interested in more smart watches like the Samsung s which don't require a smartphone but are cheaper maybe around $250 and last at least a week without charging.Even though I prefer Android overall (and the Nexus 6 is impressive), some things about the iPhone (fast AF, 240fps slow-mo, laminated screen, and generally the sleek form factor) are just really beautiful.I know so sad, but I am hoping it will be one of those YMMV kind of things. All the things we thought the 6 would be, but wasn't: Wireless charging Waterproof Two day battery 20Mp camera Bezel-less Two gigs ram at least LED notification Durable Sapphire screen No ugly antenna bands No ugly protruding lens No bad screens escaping QC inspection Stable iOS Smooth iOS This would make a phone with paying a thousand bucks for.I have never encountered a single reason worth the effort and none of the things you mentioned sound worthwhile.Just reading a wall of text is kind of useless with these kind of things.Let them do more impressive and creative things with the design as long as all I have to do is plug it in at night.Or without returning and waiting it out until they become ubiquitous in stores... And being the most popular device that Apple sells, I know and have experienced quality taking the bench next to just pumping these things out, getting them in every one and their mothers' hands and making those quarterly earnings looks AMAZING, INNOVATIVE, PROMISING.Battery life, camera, and the biggest/best screen this side of the Galaxy Note 4 (great for GPS and games) are also some really nice things to have.I used my iphone 6 for 12 days before i returned it and went for a 6plus now here are the differences:- iPhone 6 Pros One handed use light and pocketable Cons to be honest except for the design there wasnt any difference btw 5s and 6.. battery life was almost the same n so was the display iPhone 6 plus my experience:- as i have used LG g3 and Note 3 going for a phablet wasnt a big deal for me..but to be honest this thing is big and not that much easy to carry around in your pockets but two things made me just fall in love with this beauty 1st its bigger and FULL HD display [on iphone 6 i can easily see jaggered lines on the text n Fonts but here on iphone 6 plus everything is smooth n crystal clear] second man o man the battery life is awesome and superb.. to be honest iPhone 6 plus is the real upgrade for this generation while 6 is jus OKif you contact them and they don't have any records of the mistake consider yourself lucky and go about your life I've never heard of any of these things I'm reading in this thread such as back dated payments, 10 months later having to pay for the phone full price this is ridiculous lol its just like walking down the street and you find $20 on the ground, it was ur lucky day enjoy.get ready for people to accuse you of all kind of things though, kinda crazy around here :-) that did answer your question, yet in a sarcastic way. It's nice to hear when nice things happen to people!I know that sounds so horribly obnoxious since you can't hear tone through a forum, but I promise it comes from a sincere place of pure ignorance to how these things are measured exactly.I'm weirdly patient with some things and very impatient about others, this isn't something I'm impatient about.I may just be impatient, I'm not sure, but after seeing strange things like the delivery date go from 10/1 to 10/2 to 10/3.Like another post said the most shocking thing is that they don't seem to understand what they did its wrong, thats why a lot of kids grow up to be a pos since they grow up doing this kind of things and never face major consequences about it.I bet Apple has certain standards but also they are very people trust kind of organization that if things get done they are assumed to work because they have great professionals standing behind their work.So far, things I prefer about the 5.5 On-screen keyboard size The resolution of the display, fit much more on screen and photos look awesome The physical finish of the device, better than the 4.7 Stuff I prefer about the 4.7 More compact Easier one handed use Minor but noticeably better performance.I'm honest, considerate, and knowledgable; and I'm being beaten out on price because I'm doing things honestly. The lag may not be bad for most users (the same ones who think they have a "perfect" phone until an OCDer finds 20 things wrong in seconds) but the issue is a hardware one, and even if it doesn't bother you, it's there. These tech websites are making these iPhone bending reports such a big deal, of coarse it's gonna bend if you put that much pressure on it, any phone would...People always find the smallest things to complain about, a lot wanted a big iPhone for such a long time now they got it but keep finding negative things about it, people want thin, light, indestructible and cheap and they'll still not be satisfied, simple solution of putting a case on it would solve the issue...out of at least 10 million iPhones only a small percentage of iPhones actually were bent but these reports are making this such big deal and people are actually going out and exchanging their phones smh...just my opinion thoughI wonder why UPS does not have a working relationship with CBP to have officers until 3-4am since almost all of the action at KY happens 11p-5a... although I thought one of the big advantages of "World Ease" was consolidated customs pre-clearence en-route.. or did we happen to be one of those random "we have to check a random percentage to keep you honest" kind of things.Glorious and gorgeous display of all the things you love about iPhone.Amazing service, great speed, great CS [ in general ] and pricing is very reasonable all things considered.Oh dear Im fat, most pants are tight and the pouch things won't fit.One day these folks will be wise enough to realize that bad things don't happen until they do.Apple doesn't have some magical way of making things indestructible. One of the nice things about always buying off contract is I don't have to worry about ordering multiple phones and returning them (the newer AT&T plans with the $25/mo discount for BYOD make it worth it).You are better off going directly with Verizon to avoid things of that nature (unless you are truly getting some sort of an amazing deal from the reseller that would make the extra conditions they have worthwhile for you, or if you perhaps don't care about those conditions if you were let's say planning to keep the phone on the line for a few years anyway and more than 180 days). When your worth a trillion dollars, let me tell you that can do much more impressive things than that lol.And only the note added some functionality worth of changing my mac environment (imac, MBA, ipad retina, ipod classic, iPhone 5s) I managed to integrate android almost seamlessly and discovered it is a great os and learned quite a few things.Excited to see things moving!Well this is the first thing that came to my mind I am a developer and I know there are many creative developers out there who could do great things with NFC on iPhoneI save for moments like this...Ive known for a while that this day was coming, so I planned for it.... Alot of people don't understand how people can have nice things and not be rich.... save for the things that you know make you happy.... Having a nice phone and guns make me happyI could have played The Great Carnac and predicted that the 6 camera was going to be the same way, but had other things going on... Those that seek to romp around free from encumbrance (naked) might find this a reason to buy at least a small case of some kind...So when a pattern has emerged that dictates that things are as such, its is not unreasonable for me to assume that pattern is continuing, and it is not unreasonable for me to then try to press the issue when the pattern changes out of my favor and as a reaction to my diminishing value within that organization.TouchId in the 5s is something I could do with (from using my phone with OS maps on when walking), the iOS8 continuity stuff looks great - I personally find it handy now to tap away iMessages on my mac, and things like air dropping between the two will make it better still.I remain so amazed and grateful for tech that fits in a pocket and outguns those ol' things ten million to one without getting hot.has some awesome things that will be great to have in your new phone. So I wouldn't exactly say I am excited about the iPhone 6, since I am getting one regardless, but there are 3 things that could make me excited: a 5'5" screen, considerably better battery and a better camera (which I think the 5 has a decent camera already).I'm wondering if I should get out soon, before I too become so addicted to how nice the text looks on the screen and how well the Facebook app works and how it all links so seamlessly to my Mac Air that I too become like "who cares if you can't do 101 other basic and important things with the phone, look at how nice that text font is and it's beautiful form factor!!"For a while those things were worth a lot - I'm amazed. It's perfect -- large enough to read things, play games, type comfortably, etc., but small enough to use with one hand and fit perfectly in a pocket. With Apple all the time innovating back and forth like Steve with his magical special innovating tool like with special wrenches and bigger screen making things and the major predictable censoring camera stuff like never before lately to innovate with big stuff and not lazy anymore to innovate with big imagination muscles and stuff you betcha innovating more than GalaxyS5 can innovate by Tim Cook to innovate the innovating for sure.Certain things are clear: 1- 64 bit processor is already implemented 2- Higher than average screen resolution is already implemented, it's just a matter of adding more pixels 3- Faster wireless streaming speed is already available Now if Apple figures a way to exploit the flash storage and use it like RAM when needed the multi-tasking will be kind of 'unlimited' or any other fancy adjective hyperbole used on the keynote stage. It is amazing I think those kind of things happen only when Apple is involved....I'm not sure if my opinion could be met with understanding but after seeing few things with my own eyes I prefer to be bit more grateful with what i have and less lusting over the new stuff because if we are honest, most of the times its the "WANT" inside us that buy things rather than the "NEED" part. When things like this happen it can be frustrating and bothersome, but thats it.And if you aren't happy with any of their repairs or service just let them know there customer service is great at making things right.Yes the damage isn't bad and yes over time you would probably sustain some sort of marks on the phone by yourself but the point is these things are a lot of money and should be perfect out of the box.come and take a close look my colorful cheaper phones, these are just for you.. also I have same model, no need to enter password just touch your with finger... you see.. ) i hope you forgot about big screen love.. why do you need such things, i know better then you.. this size is most ideal, just perfect.. you drive car when you use your phone, or do something when you are using your phone, it is best with only my phone ) but if you really wnat something big, I have even much bigger than what you want.Happy things are moving, grateful for all these posts that helped me find the shipping information. It's nice to know that something new and great will always be coming, even if there are things I don't like about current models. All products are looped through major upgrades before it goes back to the first one, its great because its exciting to see the beautiful things they create.Loved it until weird things started happening... First, I have been restarting my phone more then 10 times in a week trying to get some weird issues fixed.I say that because of several things: Battery life is insane Ergonomics- rounded corners make it easy to hold and it doesn't feel unwieldy at all.At the time I had no idea what his reason could have been but dishonesty always troubles me and only bad things seem to follow and I felt that we had time to stop the whole thing from getting ugly.I'd love 2GB of RAM and whenever possible I like to double up on RAM, when building PC's I've been known to ram as much RAM (pun intended) as possible...maybe in a simple minded effort to just make things "better" but I've been using my rMBP which I only got 8GB of RAM for and compared to the 16GB RAM models its not insanely different...only difference is when I start doing INSANE things in video editing, I'm not talking about transcoding high res video I'm talking about doing some crazy ****** in After Effects and making the computer hot enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner....I don't think their is a whole lot on the iPhone 6 you can do that can push the RAM to the limit....I mean yeah opening a zillion tabs (which I am notorious for, I always have max tabs open) is one thing but I still find my phone to respond very well...Sorry, but the contention that 10 pounds of force will bend these things is patently absurd fear mongering that exposes your agenda in stark contrast. This sin't happening to everybody though and you may be lucky, but its wise in future to test these things out before jumping in with both feet. With the FCC unlocking policy changing effective Feb 2015 (although not retroactive) and the overturning of the insane law that made unlocking phones from outside the provider illegal I would go ahead and get it fully unlocked from one of those websites....Sprint are insane with their strict UICC SIM card being locked to the phone and only allow one unlock per account per year....I mean God knows they need it since their company sucks, I hope this changes because even though I didn't like Sprint's past and current service and deployment plan the new CEO is really changing things up to a more sensible solution.Personally, I think overall the service is better in my normal stomping ground, and 'good enough' everywhere else until next year when things are all rolled out -- and I'm tired of paying evil companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast, and whenever I have a choice, I will avoid buying services from them.Bad lighting conditions will make things much worse (again, the sensor is too small). As long as people keep getting into forums and saying so many bad things about them like they get all bent out of shape too easily, look jaundiced, or crack up at inappropriate times. But perhaps you should do a little research on your own instead of saying things are false with zero evidence to back it up besides "Thats so impractical!!And to make things worse, AT&T has somehow managed to making a bad situation worse. But, because no LCD is perfect, you develop a tolerance to some things, even if you're outrageously picky. The OP (if you would take some time and read instead of just looking for things to get mad about) was only saying the process is what he was mad about. While contradictory info is certainly frustrating, seriously this is a pretty minor issue in the grand scheme of things.Just like people do lots of bad, bad things to their phones. To believe that sapphire is less than ideal simply because traditionally used sapphire as we know it and as it's used today is less than ideal, is to not understand Apple as a company, I think, and how they've completely changed how things are done and what is(n't) possible from manufacturing and engineering standpoint Picking nits now: While that's indeed true, I also know that even though I'm from the south, saying, "God bless her, but..." doesn't excuse or sterilize any nasty thing I say about a person thereafter.THINGS I WONT MISS: The battery life: The battery life on a lot of android phones are generally not that great, and seeing as Samsung can't make a nice OS skin if they tried, I'm not going there. However, things are moving forward.i'm just hoping that the 5/5S are not the last elegant phones Apple makes. This one doesn't have a fault either......it's just pathetic Internet trolling that a very very few minority of people have suffered, in which most of them will have suffered due to misuse......it's as simple as that......and if you haven't bought one yet, then simply don't buy one if you're that worried......I have bought one, I'm treating it like the respect it deserves for being such an expensive device......if you can't handle such a big phone in your lifestyle, don't buy it, simple as that......I guarantee they will still sell more phones than anyone else this year, and I know it's not about sales, it's about customer satisfaction......and as i said, a few moaning idiots on here doesn't show the majority vote here......people who have no issues will not bother coming here, they will simply be enjoying their device and getting on with their lives.....something I wish all the moaners would do instead of just crying about issues that don't exist if you treat things properly.Another thing that kinda annoyed me is the scaling situation, instead of running apps at 1920x1080 it runs them at 2208 x 1242 and then downsamples it to 1920x1080 so it's not pixel perfect but more importantly its even further burdening the graphics hardware making it render things at an even higher resolution and then compounding that with scaling.Horrible build quality...the chrome bezel painting is wearing off, the battery cover scratches so damn easily and the screen gets ********s of fingerprints despite having an oleophobic coating... Now on the software side, things are even more ******... During my first 3 months of usage I had no problems with this phone, everything was fast and smooth. The thing is I'm not going to notice little things such as some apps look fuzzy (not optimized yet hopefully), photos look fuzzy on the edges, back text is crooked, glass is partially separated in one spot, screen is yellow, etc etc without using my own for hours or a day or 2 so just looking at one for a few min isn't going to help aside from getting an overall picture of yes this looks great or not.The things we think will make us happy don't make us nearly as happy nor for as long as we expect.to make things worse, I just gave in and realized I have been impatient so I reordered my order at AT&T for a 128 GB gold. With the 6+ I found myself sliding the phone up and down in my hand to reach things (and using reachability every 2 secs would get annoying) and it made my hand tired and achey quickly.so bizarre, can only assume they had issues with bad people doing unsavory things so it had to become stricter but clearly it's too strict now! It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date.Sorry guys I have a bad habit of typing too fast and not proof reading as Im doing two things at once today...... MY BAD!But the $99 was a nice insurance policy and I did get a free replacement in year 2 for things that naturally went bad.If you think things are bad, it's only going to get "worse" each day until Friday. It's an affluent area but people of all kinds in desperate situations do horrible things.Meanwhile, Apple deliberately make things confusing on their LTE info page, listing only the US models as LTE compatible with US carriers, a claim that appears to be misleading and false. And that same Nexus 4 had a worse camera, worse screen, worse performance (CPU and GPU), worse battery life, didn't have iMessage, didn't have apps as good as iOS, didn't have as good accessories and many more things...Just pointing out the desperate and ludicrous things the media says for views/ratings.Also got tired of "normal" things just not working -- headphones with remote/mic are quirky at best, nothing like Apple's, and random reboots with KitKat on my S3 and losing reception are pretty annoying. It's filled with "that's so ugly" "look at those ugly antenna slits" among other things.I used to work hard but the tax rates are so horrible now I hardly work at all anymore because the more I work the worse tax bracket I'm in - and end up having even less money because I have to pay people to do things I don't have time to do myself because I'm working.Ok... People on forums get mad when someone starts a new thread about things that have already been asked, then this guy does what everybody says you "should" do and searches and finds someone who had the same issue and brings back up an old thread and you get mad about that... WTF.Bumpers look cheap and nasty in my opinion, horrid things. When I tested it before disconnecting to install the new assembly, strange things happened from the lock screen; notification center would come down, it would go to the passcode screen, and other weird "automated" happenings.I wish HTC would concentrate on quality as well, HTC ONE is a beautiful phone but it needs work to become better...not hardware wise, but software wise...HTC too can create a ecosystem of its own that utilizes simple things like an iCloud competitor....or even start going with Ubuntu EDGE!If I really need to, I usually pick up a cheap android phone for the "in between" and for me this works, may or may not work for others but I am happy with the way things turn out.Things can be a lot less flexible here and you're unlikely to get anything no matter how nice you are.Yes, I'm absolutely concerned about these things... but for the purposes of this thread, I for one am more gobsmacked that of all of these other things that the OP should be worried about, he instead has chosen to fixate on a rather absurd one: he wants to disable the fingerprint reader on a device which can be used to collect insidious data, and buying said device - the option which is most effective - is an option he finds acceptable.Add to that the fact that they had to make 5 million of these things in a very unrealistic time period, obviuosly the phone is not going to be as perfect as the render on the website.Stop being so damn picky, it will get to a point where your brain will make things up Becuase your looking for something wrong.this is my expectations/wishlist for the iphone 5 -8 megapixel camera -hd front facing camera -A5 1GHz dual-core chip -some changes to design -7.5mm depth -4" display -better battery life (average 1 extra hour on all battery specs) -external keyboard (dont think it will happen but would be nice) -3d screen (doubtfull for the iphone 5 but hopefully soon) -death grip fix -live wallpaper (seen it on jailbroken ipads and it looks amazing) -im deffinately not expecting apple to do all of the things in my list on the iphone 5 but it would be nice P.S.Indeed, as sad and pathetic as it may be I'm in the midst of trying to line up vacation time and it's delaying things a bit. What make things worst, My iPhone 5 is in a return box for Apple because of a bad power button.
release
-Excellent build quality - Consistent battery life - Great performance - Almost flawless stability - Very bright display - Best app quality when compared with Android - Don't have to wait for carriers when system updates release - Excellent audio quality -Touch ID is a blessingout of the past few iOS devices: iPad 2 was pretty bad iPad 3/4 not bad at all iPhone 5 was awful iPhone 5S wasn't horrible unless you wanted Gold IMO, the iPhone 6 Plus availability is the worst I've seen in any iPhone release, particularly 64GB.I started out pretty patient, it's watching premier members be prioritized over the rest of us peons and now the worldwide release of my iPhone into the hands of those waaaaaaay behind me in the queue that have simple ruined this entire process for me, because there's always been something exciting about staying up until 2 (in my case), ordering your iPhone, and anticipating its arrival when you finally open the box and see your new phone before the vast majority of the world gets so close a look, there was a reward there, a magic, and that's just gone thanks to this release!Surely, if its worth standing in line for on the first day of the release its worth coming back a week later to pick up and play with.I find it funny the release the day it drops the day before millions of people are about to be disappointed by Apple when they can't get the phone of their choice tomorrow. This is great, glad to hear I can preorder the iphone 6 and not have to wait until release date.I'd really just wait for the release of the 6... worst comes to worse you don't like it and save money with the older model. The funny thing is that its kind of seasonal with Apple's release cycles. While FEDEX is sloppy at best leaving packages without a signature claiming they have a 'signature release' nobody in my household signed a 'signature Release' Bottom Line: it's all about the Driver Like any job it's the individual doing the job that makes the experience good or bad.I'm used to pre-orders where the production release is 6 months after the product annoucement, and the order window is small so they can build to what the preorder was... Im not saying that necessarily is desirable, but it really would help lessen some of the madness that is this "omg its next week" and the logistics that are involved and the insane it sells out in 1 minute stuff... received both my confirmation of processing and an email for the other reservation from when ATT couldnt verify...Less excited than with the 4S release - and certainly not excited about a potential increase in price!I get what you mean and understand your point, but nowadays pre iPhone release rumors already kill iPhone sales each year and its getting worse and worse.
